Positive experience: First off, let me say that the office staff at this office was great. Very friendly and excellent at what do. However, we weren't happy with an experience we encountered with my 90 year old father who needed all his bottom teeth extracted. My dad was in a wheelchair and Dr. Sato came into the room and stood behind him as he spoke to us, never introducing himself to my dad or speaking to him directly. He was very soft spoken and wore a mask the entire time which even made it difficult for my mom and I to understand him. He said he didn't do extractions but that they had a traveling dentist who comes to their office to do the extractions for them and gave us the impression this person was an oral surgeon. However, after getting an estimate for the extractions and the already extremely high price going up several times before his surgery date, we decided to get a second opinion from an oral surgeon in Wilmington OH who quoted us a much less expensive price for the removal of my dad's teeth. That surgeon informed us that it is extremely rare for oral surgeons to "travel" and said he was pretty sure that the person Dr. Sato's office was using was just a general dentist, not an oral surgeon. They called Dr. Sato's office and confirmed this information with them. We were shocked to learn this information since it had come across to us that the dentist they were going to use was an oral surgeon. Plus, the price she was going to charge us was EXTREMELY expensive. We ended up cancelling all appointments at Dr. Sato's office and went to the oral surgeon in Wilmington and payed almost $2k less. We were very disappointed in how this information was misrepresented and would like to warn others to do their research!

Fantastic experience: The staff is great! From check in to check out they are all business with smiles. Lauren, my hygienist, does a great job. I’ve been going to this dentistry practice for more than 20 years and will continue for another 20 if so blessed.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sato has been my dentist for 39 years! He is patient and caring and will always answers questions. His staff reflects his attitude. Make sure you are on time for appointments because you will not have to wait long, five to ten minutes at the most. Generally I barely sit down and they come for me. They offer gum numbing for sensitive mouths during cleanings. The hygienists have a way of making you want to take the time to care for your teeth properly without making you feel guilty about an lapses you may have had. The office has a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Visited for a second opinion on a problem tooth and really liked the staff. My current practice recently hired a new dentist and let’s just say I really miss the old one. Dr. Sato was really knowledgeable and kept me informed at every step; even going into great detail so I could fully understand. The rest of the staff were also very friendly. Think I may be switching to a new dentist soon.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sato and Jackie are the ones who took care of me today and I appreciate them so much . Dr. Sato and his staff are all very caring people and you can tell they don’t do their job just for money. They actually care about their patients and take the time to explain what is going on in ways that help them understand. Today, I was anxious when I arrived due to pain and the fear of not knowing what they was going to say and Jackie turned music on with a video of a fireplace to help relax me . Fantastic experience: I had a really negative experience with my previous dental hygienist at another office. It prevented me from going back for a year which really affected my dental health. I have fibromyalgia and dental cleanings have become very painful. This really frustrated my dental hygienist. During my first visit at this office, they immediately offered options to make it painless. A lot of my pain also comes from TMJ. I had the same night guard for 9 years. I am now getting a much better option that will help relax my jaw muscles not just address grinding. I didn’t even have to go through traditional teeth impressions. They have a scanner wand! I am relieved that now I can get my dental health back on track!

Fantastic experience: I had a problem with a cracked tooth, and they had no problems getting to the issue. Dr Sato is very knowledgeable and friendly. And they pulled my tooth the same day, but I got lucky because the dentist that does it just so happened to be there!! So that problem got taken care of ASAP!! Negative experience: I truly appreciate that Dr. Sato made my dental work pain-free—unfortunately, I can’t say the same about dealing with the front desk staff. In my experience, they were about as warm and welcoming as a root canal, offering little help and plenty of attitude. On top of that, this office seems to have a special talent for finding ‘extra’ things to charge for—like suggesting unnecessary work on my perfectly fine wisdom teeth. To top it off, they don’t take my insurance and expected me to do the legwork of contacting my provider to figure out how much my bill might be. Five stars for Dr. Sato’s technique on a pain free experience, zero stars for customer service, honesty, and transparency.

Fantastic experience: Our whole family loves Dr Sato and the team! My son was having pain and a swollen gum the weekend before Christmas (2024). I had him take Tylenol and floss thinking something was stuck and irritated. He was fine until Monday the 23rd. Thank goodness Dr Sato was open! They worked him in for a check and it was his wisdom teeth. He just turned 15 so I was a bit shocked because his sister just had issues at 18. Anyway, they got him in with the surgeon on January 8th and all is well again. Thanks Team Sato!!! You guys are the best!

Negative experience: I called to schedule a cleaning and they said they had to do an exam first. I thought this strange as I had been there several times before, but I agreed to do so. I arrived on time and had to wait until about 15 minutes after my appointment was scheduled. The girl, a hygienist I suppose, spent what seemed like a prolonged time probing all my teeth, and boy she did not mind smashing her tools carelessly against my teeth over and over. Turns out she was taking measurements to build a case for giving me a deep cleaning, which was going to cost nearly $1500. She probably could have given me the normal cleaning I wanted in the time she spent doing this. Oh and in the brief 2 minutes or less I saw the actual dentist he managed to ridicule me when he apparently wasn't pleased with my answer to one of his questions. I wasn't presented with any other options, like getting the deep cleaning was a foregone conclusion. They basically treated me like they got to decide everything and I had to go along with it. Their estimate for the follow-up visit also included an additional $800 for work I had already told the dentist I didn't want to do at that time. The hygienist also told me she was taking x-rays of my wisdom teeth to send to a partner facility to schedule removal. No one ever asked me if I wanted this. Why would a perfectly healthy tooth be removed anyway? I spoke up and told the girl that I didn't want that unless there was a specific problem with the teeth. She told me she was going to do it anyway. Yes, I am not kidding. Apparently I don't have control of my own dental health as far as they are concerned. After paying in excess of several hundred dollars (and not getting the cleaning I wanted) and being presented with an estimate for follow-up work for two or three thousand dollars, the lady up front also tries to sell me in-house "insurance" for an additional like $800, which doesn't even help with the current bills or the follow-up. I am not made of money, especially when I am not getting what I ask for, and am treated like a sheep that's expected to let them decide everything for me. I will never go near this place again, which looked pretty filthy/not clean to me by the way, and I would not recommend them to anyone at all.

Fantastic experience: I needed to have a tooth removed because it was broken down to the gum line. Needless to say, I was a little nervous & concerned about the procedure. However, Dr. Sato and his team assured me that their colleague who specializes in this area does a great job and comes highly recommended. Well, she did a fantastic job!!! I now look forward to going back to Dr. Sato for future appointments. #Nolongerafraidofthedentist

Positive experience: I had a little bit of a wait, but when I was called back by the hygienist things went really efficiently. My hygienist did a great job in explaining what would happen at this visit and let me know that I may not receive a cleaning at this visit as they want to take time to assess all my potential dental issues. The best part was that I could schedule my next appointment right there with my hygienist and not have to go back out to wait for the front desk to help (although they are very nice people!). But one less step is always nice! I like Dr. Satos approach and manner. Very gentle and straightforward. Happy to have found this dental practice!

Negative experience: Really don’t know what happened to this dentist office. Great service great dental assistants. Now they have changed to accept other insurance plans as my dental insurance that I have been with for the last 14 years that they accepted now, I have to pay the whole bill up front when the service is done and my insurance company will reimburse me back. SMH

Took my toddler to her first appointment and Lauren and Dr Sato were great with her. She loved every minute and is definitely not scared of the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience! The onboarding as a new patient was quick and efficient. A receptionist called within a day of applying online and got an appointment set up within a few weeks. All forms could be filled out online which was so helpful for my visit! The receptionist was very friendly. My hygienist, Lauren, was super friendly as well and explained everything as we proceeded. Dr. Sato was great, helpful recommendations and explanations all around from him and Lauren. Everyone was so welcoming, I had a great experience and am very glad I chose this dentistry!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Dr. Sato for about 1.5-2 years and I have been very pleased with my experience. I came from an out-of-network family dentist who was a long drive back to my hometown. I was nervous about the transition from a familiar setting to somewhere new, but I have to credit Dr. Sato and his team for making it an easy one. No matter how many questions I had, they always took the time to explain what they were doing, why, and how it would help. Fantastic experience: I have been searching for a decent Dentist office ever since I moved to Dayton and it is nearly impossible. This is now my 3rd dentist office in the last 3 years! I am absolutely overjoyed that I finally found a place that doesn't make me wait hours after my appointment time and have amazing dental hygienist who do things right! Very grateful to Sato and team!

Negative experience: Stars really for the staff and nice facility. Overall disappointed with the billing and insurance department. Days before my appt I got a text saying my insurance was out of network but they would still cover it. I figured it would be the 80% my insurance does for out of network providers which it was. But I had the pano X-rays done, without being told it isn’t covered by most insurances so I figured it was routine. So after my visit, I was texted with a bill for almost $300. If you know imaging isn’t covered, at least give a heads up during the visit or something to sign to opt out because i certainly wasn’t expecting or have $300 to just shell out at a whim. I most likely won’t be back. To clarify: both full panel x rays and a pano was done. My insurance only covers one set and I was not given an option in office to not do the pano.

Fantastic experience: It feels like family.. The personnel is great, very polite and make me feel very special everytime I visit the office. The office is extremely clean and organized. Both dentists are very professionals!

Fantastic experience: Holly cleaned and examined my teeth. She is very thorough and identified areas of concern that Dr. Sato followed up on. Dr. Sato reviewed all of the radiographs and identified the steps needed to correct the problem identified on x-rays and hands-on evaluation. I now know the process for correcting my dental problems. Everyone is very professional, listen to concerns, and answer all questions. I was so impressed with the quality of care I recommended Dr. Sato to my husband.
