Positive experience: I waited 6 months to get in as a new patient. No problem. The only thing that I found that was different from what I'm used to, I didn't get my teeth cleaned on my first visit. That's another appointment. First appointment was nothing but x-rays and her periodontal exam. On a waiting list, see if I can get in sooner than 4 months. That would make it 10 months since my last cleaning. I would recommend is making two appointments at the time of first contact. That way there's no disappointment You know like back to back? Wouldn't that make sense? Staff was wonderful. I just don't understand why you just don't get it done at one time. Please make two appointments at one time then

Staff and Dentists are incredible- They have always taken the time to make me feel at ease with my dental anxiety, the facility is very clean, they are efficient- I rarely have any wait time at all during appointments, billing is very helpful and always on top of providing detailed bills for my FSA. I have never liked any other dental practice prior to them- Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this group of dentist for many years. They are always looking after your dental health and make very good sound recommendations for me.

Negative experience: Longtime patient. Loved the staff however the billing manager was terrible. I received a bill with a carry over balance of a large amount. I had never received a previous bill for these charges. I simply asked to see details of the charges - dates, amounts, insurance payments, patient responsibility - and Barb couldn't provide it clearly. As I rightfully became agitated with this, Barb refused to work with me anymore. She blamed it on the software they use. It's a shame - our experiences over the years were great otherwise.

Negative experience: The India female doc and her assistant are the absolute worst ever. If you don't have presting teeth when they meet you, they will go out of their way to make you feel unwelcome, along with during exam putting bacteria on a tooth. Plus, I had to point out a cavity that the doc didn't catch on the xray. She was not happy about that.

Negative experience: Worst dentist I've been to ever. Do not explain anything before they drill or show you images of which tooth they will work on. I complained of sensitivity and they just decided I needed a crown. (they drilled on a different tooth than the one I complained about.) Would not fit the crown unless I signed an agreement that it fit fine. I told them it did not fit well and they said they would not place the crown until I signed the paper. Their drilling cracked that tooth to the root and I then lost the tooth and had to have the entire tooth and crown removed and a new tooth created. Total waste of money and time, and pain. If your dentist is more concerned about CYA than your well being, see it as a red flag of incompetence.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a new dentist this is definitely my recommendation. I’ve lived in the Dayton area my whole life and have been to many different dentists and have never been happier than I’ve been here. I’ve been going here for 8 years and have never been disappointed. From the moment you schedule your appointment, to checking in, to your cleaning with your hygienist to the dentist everyone is amazing and caring. They schedule their appointments wisely and are always prompt. I would definitely recommend my hygienist Amber if you have little ones or for yourself! She does an amazing job and is very friendly. I can’t say enough nice things about them!

Fantastic experience: I'm a new patient, today was my first appointment. The entire team and experience was excellent! Everyone was very nice and good at what they did. It was very clean and I didn't have to wait on the day of my appointment. Something else I was impressed by was the documentation. They actually got detailed photos to show me how my teeth were looking. Apparently, I grind my teeth at night. I was at my previous dentist office for about 5 years and litteraly nobody there noticed/told me about it in all that time. My hygienist today spotted it almost immediately, and showed me the picture to prove it. She suspected it'd been going on for about 5 years. I couldn't get the mouth guard stuff sorted today but she walked me thru what to do in the mean time. Instead of trying to upsell me and get an expensive temporary one, she told me to go to Walmart and get am athletic one just to hold me over until we can get the proper one made. I have nothing but good things to say, and I am a very happy patient.

Negative experience: In April of 2023 I went to Absolute Smiles w two tooth aches. I saw Dr Saito and she told me I had an infected molar on the left and two cracked ones on the right and I needed two crowns on the cracked ones. I was going out of town until June and Dr Saito gave me medication. In June I saw her and she prepared me for the crowns. She gave 5 shots to numb the area and during the procedure she gave me four additional ones. When I got home I started having the worst pain that I have ever experienced. I called the office and there was a recording that the office was closed. After several calls I got two numbers to call for an emergency. I called Dr Saito for half an hour and she didn’t answer. I was screaming in pain and crying. In desperation I called the police. They sent me an ambulance. While waiting Dr Saito called me and said that she was sending a prescription to Walgreens for steroid and the EMT would give me pain killers. When the ambulance came they said they were not allowed to give me medications. They took me to the ER. I waited for an hour screaming and crying before they gave me a pain killer. I went home and the next morning I went to see Dr Saito. Another dentist saw me first then Dr Saito. She told me I needed to have a root canal. I had paid $2,200 for the crowns that I did not receive. It took me 2 months to get an appointment with an endodontist. He took XRays and told me he wouldn’t do the root canal on my cracked teeth because it was expensive and it wouldn’t last. He told me to have the teeth extracted. I went to 3 dentists and they wouldn’t do the extraction. One of them recommended Dr Cudney in Beavercreek. I had the 3 teeth extracted in September, over $3,000, two implants in January, $7000, two crowns at another dentist $4,000. I went through all this suffering physically, economically and emotionally because of Dr Saito’s misdiagnosis and all the pain when she prepared my teeth for the crowns for her ineptitude at doing the procedure. I asked the office manager to refund me the $2,200 . She said she had to talk to Dr Saito and she would call me back. She never did. I called several times to talk to her and I was told she was talking to a Dr and she would call me back. She didn’t. Every time I called they gave me an excuse For her not calling me back. To date I have not received a call or a refund.

Fantastic experience: Amber has been our families Hygienist for several years. We like everyone at Absolute Smile but Amber is the reason keep coming back.

Positive experience: I’ve been seen at this office since I was 16-18 years old and I find out that I was dismissed as a patient by someone who hasn’t even probably been working there for as long as I’ve been a patient because of a $30 copay I was not aware about. Now after years and years of going to this office I have to seek another dentist which is heartbreaking to me because this is a really good dentist office I enjoyed all the people who worked there a lot of them known me since I was younger and are even on first name bases and everyone is very nice. I do recommend this dentist office Im just really upset for how they treated me over $30 copay which I would’ve paid for had I been aware and/or this all could have been resolved when I came to my appointment.

Negative experience: Great place, nice people, I have had no problems here, but when you call to schdule a cleaning and they can't see you for 6 months there is a problem. They obviously have too much business. Time to go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: First time patient here— the new patient process was super simple and easy. They made sure to text me in advance to fill out patient forms online and quickly got my insurance all set-up (all through text)! Walked in, checked-in, sat down, got called, took X-rays, waited for the Dentist to come by while I got my teeth cleaned and gums checked! I hadn't been to the dentist in over 5 years and the dental hygienist was super friendly, gentle and efficient, making sure she got all the built-up plaque off my teeth! As someone who gets a bit nervous going to the dentist, it was a very pleasant experience. I know moving forward I have nothing to worry about :) !

Today I had visit #1 to replace a broken crown -- absolutely superb work by Dr. Saito and very talented hygienist Jordan. Both are technically excellent which is paired with top-level patient care behaviors. Everyone I've interacted with at Absolute Smile has the same high standard of care.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 crowns done today. I'm usually very anxious in the dentist chair! Megan and Dr Hodge were amazing! I never felt so at ease getting all that drilling done! Fantastic experience: Our Dentist retired and after going to him for 35 years finding a new Dentist is like pulling teeth! No pun intended! Tried 2 other Dentists with no success! I posted a request on the Centerville Facebook Community Board for Dentist recommendations and I received several referrals for Absolute Smile! Called on Monday and set up appointments for the next day for my husband and I! We had X-rays and cleanings and Also was evaluated by the Dentist! We both were so impressed with the Dentist and Staff! Their professionalism, efficiency, and kindness were equal to none! I sat in the waiting room while my husband was being taken care of and I noticed everyone came in we’re all treated with the same care and kindness that they showed us! It was not just a show for new patients! I would highly recommend them! They are Excellent!

Fantastic experience: We're new in town, tried this clinic, and we are so glad we did. Check in was fast, and front desk ladies were on point. Waiting area was clean and comfortable, that is the few mins I had to wait. My hygienist was very polite and knowledgeable, she explained was she was doing, and also helped me researched my insurance covered services. I had the pleasure to meet Dr. Saito, she was so kind, and gentle during my exam, had a few recommendations and did not feel pushy at all like some other DDM's. Overall the experience was great, and I'm bringing all my family to this clinic.

Fantastic experience: This place is ran really well! Both my husband and I come to this office. Everything runs soo smoothly. I’m referring to EVERYTHING- from scheduling your appointment, to being up front about cost, to being taken back for appointments (on time!), being taken care of by the kindest, most competent staff around, and finally checking out (privately!)!! The communication is top notch. I always feel like I’ve received the best service by the best team when I leave. Highly highly highly recommend.

From my first phone call with the front desk to checking in for my appointment this morning they all have been genuinely nice and welcoming. It makes you feel comforted when you start your appointment out with this kind of sincerity. Then I hit the jackpot when I met my hygienist, Bev!!! What a warm hearted lady! I truly felt like I knew Bev for years talking about our kids, Chicago and shopping. My family recently moved to the area and it felt great to talk to another adult other than a teacher or therapist! Thank you to everyone I came across this morning! Obviously, I highly recommend this office!

Negative experience: Dentist was great, the hygienist was extremely rough when cleaning my teeth and I was in tears. She was someone I haven’t had before, the first hygienist I went to was wonderful and very gentle. I will be going to her from now on.

Have been a patient here for quite some time and have never been disappointed with care I received or personnel that I've encountered, all true professionals.

Negative experience: Was charged for an initial evaluation, given an X-ray which did not properly identify the issue I was having, pain from bone coming through my gums (something which naturally happens from time to time), instead I was slated to have an expensive unnecessary crown unrelated to my pain. When I figured out why I was having pain and came back to let them know I wasn't going to proceed with the unrelated procedure, they charged me a second evaluation fee. I called in to see if I could have the second charge dropped, but was then told by someone in billing, who I imagine has no medical expertise, began a lengthy explanation of why I needed this other unrelated procedure done, although I am having no problems with that tooth. Will not be going back. Also will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as this is still unresolved and I didn't request a second evaluation, as the problem was the same as the first time I was evaluated. I simply came in to tell them that I don't think the procedure was a necessary one and unrelated to my pain, and they charged me a second time, please see the photo. I feel sorry for anyone else who has to deal with this downright greedy and obstinate treatment. Total lack of customer care and concern. UPDATE After receiving a placating response from the owner on Google reviews, to which I have not been reached out to personally by the office itself, I received a letter in the mail today, which I believe to be ultimately the most revealing thing of all about this office, please take a look and see that if you express dissatisfaction with this office this is what will be in store for you. A letter stating the intent to "withdraw as your dentist" and denying you access to routine medical treatments despite having all of your dental records from birth. Another placating and bleak bump in the road in which this dentist literally takes the time to conjure up this drivel and sign it, for example "I wish you success in achieving your healthcare goals." Where do they come up with this stuff??? Does anyone actually talk like this??? Are these people massively overpaid and out of touch? I'll leave it up to you, dear readers. I wish you, Katherine O'Hara, and the wonderful office at Absolute Smile another 100 years of happily charging rent on people's health problems in our woefully inept medically unsound system of, ahem, "dental care". (Man that was hard to type.) Also, I do believe good dentists exist, look elsewhere fellow travelers.

Negative experience: Was charged twice for a redundant evaluation in which nothing changed from my follow up appointment, called in to speak to the billing department, they are tight lipped and also unmovable and rather nasty and unpleasant on the phone. I was misdiagnosed with needing a crown when in fact I had some bone growing through my gums which was completely missed during the evaulation(s) and also the x-ray. The lack of customer service is rather apparent at this location. Also I got a partial made and was without it for 4 weeks after being told it would be there in a week, I paid a ridiculous sum of 500 dollars for. Also the dental staff who attended to me were all very young and inexperienced. I wish I could say you get what you pay for, but that's simply not the case here. Fantastic experience: I LOVE having my dental care done at Absolute Smile. All of the staff members are incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. If I have questions or concerns, they are quick to respond. They also take special care to ensure that my insurance coverage is maximized. And, the health of my teeth and gums is their first priority. However, they don't push me to get work done that isn't immediately necessary. But if an emergency comes up, I know they will take care of it. I can't imagine going anywhere else for my dental care!

We were established patients before we moved to Texas 5yrs ago, however our son had a dental concern while visiting for vacation. We were able to get him in and situated until we can make it back to Texas. Same awesome staff and customer service. THANK YOU Absolute Smile! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Fantastic experience: My former dentist stopped taking insurance a couple years ago, and it took me way too long to take the leap and try a new dentist. I finally made an appointment with Absolute Smile, and my only regret is not doing it sooner. My initial cleaning was with Amber, who was amazing. She made me feel comfortable even though her work was cut out for her. Best cleaning experience ever! Next, I had to take care of a root canal and crown. Dr. Saito was very patient, kind, and skilled. I've had a number of root canals in the past, and this is the only one of consider a pleasant, easy experience. She really is awesome. I'm super excited to get back in there and get more fillings and dental work... well, as excited as you'd expect. I honestly would give the entire practice 10 stars if I could.
