Positive experience: I couldn't even talk to a real person on the phone. They just had me talking to some AI chatbot. I asked if they take Caresource through Medicaid and their bot said no, then proceeded to ask me what my insurance provider is... The old office called New Day Dental took Caresource, but they shut the place down and canceled my appointment without telling me. It was the same network under Magnolia, what changed?

They were so thorough, when I arrived all the paperwork and insurance info was already taken care of. Very easy check in. Jen and Dr. Sharma were so patient and kind with us. I would def recommend them.

Negative experience: BEWARE of billing with this practice!! After reading multiple reviews, our experience is the norm rather than the exception for this practice. Dr.Sharma is in network with our dental insurance and I was told this morning that my husband "knew that we were out of network." I verified that Dr. Sharma was in network prior to his first appointment, an re-verified this to be true with my insurance carrier prior to calling their office. At his last cleaning appointment, he was billed $66.13 when our dental policy covers the service at 100%. The reason I was given for the discrepancy in billing was that he received a specific type of cleaning that wasn't typically fully covered. I was then told that the Cigna representative that they spoke to when they verified benefits must have given the the wrong information. The EOB clearly details each item billed, and further shows that Magnolia Dental/Dr. Sharma was paid in full at the negotiated in-network rate, with patient responsibility at $0. According to the office, original form of payment should be refunded about 30 days after they receive payment from Cigna. This definitely reeks of balance billing and wildly unethical billing practices. Needless to say, he will be finding another dental provider that bills honestly and doesn't double dip on charges that are paid in full by insurance providers. On top of the billing issue, the dental hygienist that replaced the one that performed his initial cleanings was poorly trained, rough, not compassionate, and the overall experience was terrible. My husband complains about very little, so the fact that he mentioned it at all and stated that he needed a new dentist speaks volumes. If you choose to use this provider, I would HIGHLY recommend getting proposed procedure codes prior to your visit and verifying pricing/payment with your insurance provider yourself. BUYER BEWARE.

Anytime I put my finger up they stopped (I just needed the suction) but they just wanted to make sure they didn’t hurt me doing it. Very Amazing Place & Very Amazing People. Negative experience: The only good thing about this practice is Dr. Sharma, she is a great dentist. Everything else needs some work. My fiancé has had his appointment rescheduled 3 times due to a dental hygienist family emergency, ( there’s more than one hygienist btw). To get ahold of the staff is very tiring and hard. An AI robot voice always answers and rarely transfers to a human being. I had to physically go into the practice to reschedule an appointment. The receptionist even told me to keep calling until I get a human. It’s hard to reschedule when my fiancé works construction and rarely gets off before 5. We will be finding another practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been around the block a few times, if you catch my drift, and Dr. Sharma is by FAR the best dentist in western hemisphere! (I cannot speak on the eastern because I have not been there.) She replaced some of my old dental work and did an outstanding job, she put my comfort above all, and my teeth feel great!

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS DENTAL OFFICE! They will fraud your insurance over/under charge you send bills with the information all messed up. Owe you money claim they were going to send you the money and then say oh you had another bill so we just put your credit towards that. Then try to act like they did you a favor and voided something. And in reality, they just didn’t want to give you your refund. They have accidentally canceled a dental surgery on me. They’ve had me waiting in a waiting room for simple dental procedures for over an hour twice the second time I ended up just having to walk out another time I told them I had to leave because it was already passed 5 o’clock and my appointment was at 3:30. The dentist themselves are very good but they Over book themselves. Whoever handles their financing and managing should be fired.

Negative experience: There were several issues with this practice. Firstly, they didn’t inform us that our Dental Insurence no longer in network. This was previously accepted, and other doctors in the same facility were taking in-network . Please confirm before any treatment, Elise, as you might end up with a large bill. Their estimate and actual had large difference more than 250 My wife and I both had tooth crowns installed, but they didn’t work properly and have been causing issues. They also don’t perform root canals and send patients to other doctors for those procedures. For hard extractions, they also recommended sending patients to other doctors. The only thing they do for children is clean their teeth. Overall, we had a poor experience at this practice so we decided to move out.

Negative experience: The last two appointments I’ve scheduled have been cancelled by Magnolia Dental. They are still sending me messages to try to bill the second appointment that they cancelled. A previous appointment from last summer was billed fully to me, and then my dental insurance also sent a letter confirming they paid the full cost. Magnolia has not returned any of my messages about the previous.

Negative experience: I went and had a bridge put in and a couple of months later, it snapped. I went in & dr cut 1/3 of the bridge off and I left. For a full week I suffered severely with a sharp piece of the bridge slicing my tongue every time I moved it or spoke. I couldn’t hardly speak because of pain & interfered with my job. I kept calling, texting dentist telling them I was in so much pain. They said doctor was out. I called and texted over and over telling them I was suffering. Finally got an appt to have piece shaved down. Long story short, dentist told me she would replace the bridge but I would just have to contribute a little more money. ..Well, now when I call to ask how much it will be and will she replace, she ignores my calls, texts (the office texts) and wrote letters and NOTHING! I paid over $5,000 and have nothing to show for. I don’t have money to replace bridge again and it’s going to come out any day. It’s been depressing dealing with.

Negative experience: I found Magnolia dental a year ago and was impressed with the drs and staff. However, recently I had a scheduled cleaning in December. I went to the location in Centerville on 725. I was surprised when the sign on the door said moved locations. I called the office to say I’d be late because I had no idea they had moved. I get to the new location my appt for a teeth cleaning to over 2 hours. No one apologized for the long appt. I was told I had 4 cavities and needed a crown. 6 months ago at my previous cleaning everything was fine . How does someone go from all good to 4 cavities and a crown. I was very frustrated. I asked if u I could get the fillings done by the end of the year due to the deductible and I was told yes. I scheduled and then magnolia called me to cancel/reschedule then cancel again and reschedule then a 3rd time and could not complete the fillings before the end of the year. The receptionists was rude and didn’t care. I also believe they made up the cavities and crown for $. Definitely do not recommend

Negative experience: My daughter and I were patients here for 5+ years. We both had preventive care appointments in Feb. 2025, for which we had a zero copay in years past due to my government insurance benefits. Dr. Sharma was out at the time and we were seen by another dentist. A few weeks later I received a bill for a balance of more than $200 due to the doctor being out of network. I clarified with my insurance company that there had been no changes to my insurance, and they assured me that all my preventive care was still covered at 100%. My daughter and I have never had cavities, and this appointment was our 6-month check-up for routine cleanings and x-rays. I placed multiple calls requesting for someone to call me back and explain to me why the balance was MY responsibility when they had chosen a doctor who was not in the network. When I did actually speak to a person, all I was told was that I owed the balance and was given no explanation why. It's now a black mark on my credit report. I was forced to cancel our routine appointment in August and find another dentist who couldn't get us in for 6 months. I'd always received great service until this incident and was very disappointed in the way it was handled. I think it's a shame when businesses don't value their established customers, and compromise their integrity for a profit. Please do your due diligence as a consumer and know for yourself what your insurance is responsible for so you're not left with a bill like I was.

Fantastic experience: One of my fillings came out last night ,so this morning I went to Magnolia Dental in Centerville and was greeted by one of the staff members and told him what happened.Within 5 minutes I was taken back to a room and the dentist came in to check my tooth.She said it was an old filling and replaced it in about 15 minutes.The whole experience was great!The staff and dentist are very friendly and professional! Negative experience: I had 4 dental cleanings scheduled for my 4 kids next month and received a letter in the mail dropping us as patients. Great timing since getting new cleanings will take another 6 months to get it. I had a problem with a permanent retainer being half on and was told that it couldn't be fixed on the spot after waiting over an hour and a half to be seen. Then, told it could be glued on for $150 which wasn't the correct fix since an orthodontist said the glue was on the retainer not the tooth. But, to have a front desk person tell me what I should or should not do with my child was the icing on the cake since clearly she is also a dentist. Should I also mention that I was told I would be receiving a check of over $60 in the mail which I have yet to receive in 6 months? Have fun with this office. The dentist was great until this letter. No conversation, no apology for making us wait for over an hour. Its clearly our fault for needing a service done well.

Negative experience: First calling and making a appointment was totally easy. Went to the appointment met with Dr.Holloway and she was super amazing. Very knowledgeable and willing to explain everything so detailed. I was advised that I would also be getting my cleaning at the time of the visit from the scheduler but that's not what happened. I scheduled my cleaning appointment for a few weeks later. The day of my appointment I has to cancel due to a family emergency. I was told that was fine and I could call back later to reschedule. Fast forward some months later I was hit with a no show bill of $50. Confused as to why because I called to cancel hours before my appointment time, and was told that it was totally fine to do so. I called the office for weeks before I was able to speak to a manager. The stupid AI system doesn't allow you get through to a live person ever or the phone only rings to the other locations then you are stuck in a transfer loop. Once I was able to speak with a manager she states it's in the financial policy that if you no show or cancel the same day you will be charged no exceptions. I fully understand policy and was told by a team member of the office the everything would be fine to reschedule. When you should remind your patients of the fee and or give a curiosity waived fee per reason and time allotment given before the appointment. I hate that I will never have Dr. Holloway as my dentist as she is great but the office and the lack of communication is horrible. Policy and all this could have been resolved months ago with a simple pick up the phone or call back. Plus the office is out dated compared to the Columbus locations so I wouldn't dare to come back. Only giving 2 stars because of the experience the dentist deserves a 5 star review ✨️

Negative experience: Such horrible customer service recently that the 3 members of our household have decided to find another dentist after being with Magnolia Dental 5 years. I made 3 attempts to contact the office manager and I never got a return call. I completed the request on their web page and left detailed messages with the answering service, never a call back. Such disrespect! I am relieved to be done with this office and look forward to better customer service at another dental office.

When I walked in the atmosphere was warm, professional, and well organized. Macy’s leadership clearly sets the tone for the office. Negative experience: For your first appointment, be aware that they don’t clean your teeth. It’s very off putting and a total waste of time to have to go back for a cleaning after they “establish your treatment plan”. Speaking of treatment plans, they look for any and every way to nickel and dime you. I was told by the dental hygienist (not the dentist) that I have extreme gingivitis for the first time in my life (when I go to the dentist every 6 months religiously?) and that they wouldn’t schedule a cleaning for me unless I consented to the treatment plan they deemed necessary. They were also trying to sell me on a night guard, that insurance sure as heck would not cover. I left extremely disappointed. And clearly they need my business a lot more than I need them because almost all of their chairs were empty, for good reason. Not sure where all their 5 star google reviews are coming from because that place is dead. Also, they really need to look at who is cleaning the building because I saw dead bugs everywhere.

Negative experience: I am deeply disappointed in Magnolia Dental (Centerville, OH). This practice is very dishonest as illustrated below. I was scheduled for a cleaning appointment on 8/7/2025. They took numerous x-rays during my appointment (including a panoramic view). I was assured that these would be covered by my insurance. I hesitantly accepted the fluoride varnish because I did not want to pay out of pocket, and was told it would likewise be covered. A few weeks later I received a bill for almost $400 (this was AFTER my insurance payout). I did not even see a dentist. In previous years, my bill was $0. I called the office numerous times, but was always sent to voice mail even during normal business hours. I finally reached a human to speak with and was told that they were now "out of network", and no longer accepted my insurance. This change occurred a few days prior to my visit on 8/7/2025. No one told me of this change; how was I to know that they were no longer taking my insurance? They WERE accepting my insurance when my appointment was booked. I was hesitant to let them take the x-rays (I was told they would be covered as would the fluoride treatment). I was told I would need to pay the bill regardless; no apologies were offered. It was their responsibility to communicate changes in insurance acceptance (especially since my insurance was accepted when I booked the cleaning). I cannot imagine a dental cleaning costing $400 (after an insurance payment), especially when I did not even see a dentist. Additionally, their office is very poorly run; the phone calls go unanswered 98% of the time. I will never return to this office again.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sharma and her team are the best! So friendly and they seek perfection and don’t give up until it’s done. My wife and I have been patients for a few years now and highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Dr & hygienist were fine. Kind & professional. BUT! Billing office is AWFUL! After being told what was covered (everything except nitrous) received bill for exorbitant amount. Contacted office, receptionist said insurance denied. Contacted insurance company, everything was covered, but it was billed with different NPI & Tax ID#. I called back & explained everything to receptionist. Then got ANOTHER bill a week later. Left several messages for billing department, as the receptionist is clearly out of her league. No response from anyone. I get it, insurance is tough. But, all they have to do is resubmit a corrected claim and they will get paid. This is a hill I'm dying on.

Negative experience: I called ahead and specifically asked if they could fix my permanent retainer. They said they couldn’t fix it but could make a new one. I agreed and scheduled an appointment. When I arrived, I waited over an hour past my appointment time, only to be told they actually couldn’t do it here at all. This was after I had confirmed on the phone that they could. Very unprofessional and not competent — complete waste of time.

They made sure I was comfortable, communicated with me throughout two cavity fillings, and got me out of there as quick as possible while doing amazing work. If you're looking for a new dentist in the Dayton area, this is the office to go to!

Negative experience: It would be great if the office said "we need to do panoramic X-rays because you're a new patient and normally these aren't covered under insurance except every few years. Do you want to check with your insurance first?" Instead was just asked, " when was your last dental visit?" $180 difference there! Front office staff is not knowledgeable or helpful. They just read a screen, print something out and don't care.

Negative experience: Long review ahead Beware! I haven’t disliked a dentist office in such a long time. I’ll start with how careless and rude my hygienist was but that I was willing to let go because the second time I got a better one but then come the insurance claim/fraud. 10/3/2024: As a good patient/client should I looked up the preferred providers on my insurance plan under Aetna for who is in network and Magnolia Dental was listed with decent reviews and was closet to my residence so I chose to go there. I call and make a new patient appointment, they take and confirm my insurance and confirm ACTIVE IN NETWORK status as well so we proceed with the new patient appointment. X-rays, measurements of gums, the cleaning and then the exam with the doctor. I was told that I needed to schedule a follow up for a filling for a sensitive spot of my recession I was having so I did with that same provider I saw. I was never made aware Davern Holloway, the dentist, was out of network and they should have not allowed her to examine me knowing she was out of network knowing there was another doctor in the office especially as I never asked for her. 10/10/24 Arrive for my filling, again my insurance was taken and copy was made and ran and AGAIN not a word mentioned about how Davern Holloway was out of network as I would have never agreed to see her as I have coverage for a reason. I proceed with my agreed payment plan of my portion of $23.94 with my insurance estimated payment of $215.46. It is kind of hard to claim to have an estimated insurance payment with a "out of network insurance". Again, I was never made aware that Davern Holloway was out of network, and the practice failed as a provider to allow her to see a patient where the insurance did not cover the provider, especially without the patients knowledge.

Fantastic experience: I am a recurring patient. Dr Sharma and her staff did a very good job. I was seen within 2 minutes of my appointment, very timely. The xray tech, hygienist, and dentist were all friendly and professional. Kesha was very thorough during the cleaning and explained what she was finding throughout the exam.

Fantastic experience: I am TERRIFIED of the dentist but today I went in for 2 crowns and everyone was AMAZING! They really did a 10/10 job with me making me feel comfortable. I never really leave reviews but I wanted to after leaving Magnolia Dental. I will always recommend them from here on out. They also really helped with my phobia of the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Im usually the type of person to read reviews rather than post, but I want to give back and share about the positive experience I have recieved throughout my time in receiving dental care at Magnolia Dental. Dr. Sharma is a professional, kind, and very caring provider and truly takes the time to listen to any concerns you may have about your dental care, and recommend options that best fit your needs. She also ensures to explain and provide helpful patient education throughout the visit so that one can easily understand and be placed at ease about their care plan. I have also experienced the same kindness and patience from her staff. Prior to visiting here, I honestly did not have the best experiences at 2 other local dental offices and due to that, I really put off getting the care that I desperately needed for some time.
