Fantastic experience: I came in for a second opinion and had a great experience. The staff was very kind and Dr. Clark was able to advise me on an older root canal tooth I have been having some concerns with. I felt I was in good hands and never felt pressured into unnecessary procedures. I even emailed after my appointment with a couple of questions I forgot to ask and he responded very quickly.

Fantastic experience: Fit me in on the day I called. In and out in a little less than an hour. Clean facility. Friendly staff. Estimate for services was typical in the area. Just waiting for the EOB to verify billing.

Fantastic experience: I went to Dr. Paul Clark for a root canal retreat. I was so upset by the situation with frayed nerves I couldn’t imagine another 2 hours in the chair, but I so wrong. And I was told the only option for me was a surgical procedure, also wrong. With a very busy practice, I was delighted to be able to see him for an evaluation. Dr. Clark assessed my situation and determined that I was a candidate for a retreat and proceeded to perform the procedure in an amazingly short period of time. There was no pain, no discomfort and no chunk of plastic between my teeth to keep my mouth open. Dr. Clark is very kind, calm and confident in his skills and in the effective use of 3-D imaging and a surgical microscope. He is amazing and I can’t thank him enough for being so patient and encouraging with me. His office staff and assistants are absolutely the best, they make a great team in support of Dr. Clark. I will go to my dentist for routine care, but any future needs for a root canal will be with Dr. Clark.

Fantastic experience: WOW! Even though I am a dental professional myself I am very fearful of having my mouth being worked on and even more so that I needed to have a root canal done. However from the moment I walked in Dr.Clark and the whole team at McKinney Endodontics made me feel at ease. Dr. Clark was amazing! Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with McKinney Endodontics — not because of the doctor, who is excellent, but because of the absolutely unprofessional, disorganized, and frustrating behavior of the front desk staff. I scheduled my appointment over a week in advance and repeatedly requested a cost estimate. I had to call back four or five times before they finally provided a quote — and even then, I was hit with a surprise “outstanding balance” from April that I had never been notified about. It took repeated insistence just to get that resolved. The worst part came at my appointment. They performed a 3D X-ray and only after it was completed informed me it would cost an additional $350 and might not be covered by insurance. Had I known in advance, I would have declined it. Instead of the ~$400 I was originally quoted, I ended up paying over $800 at the last minute. The front desk staff were dismissive, cold, and completely lacked basic professionalism — no apology, no explanation, not even a “thank you” or “happy holidays.” Their lack of transparency and organization turned an already stressful procedure into an infuriating experience. If you want clear communication, honesty about costs, and basic customer service, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The doctor is skilled, but the front desk at this location is a nightmare and lack any sort of empathy.

Fantastic experience: Technical skills exceeded even what I expected. The Front desk and administrative staff were extremely friendly and helpful! They really went above and beyond with my insurance.

Negative experience: This office was referred to me for a root canal by my dentist as a provider within network of my insurance, GEHA. I was told by Kelly and Katherine that I would owe as my share (90%) $810. Seemed high so I called GEHA. The negotiated total rate is $868. of which I would pay 50% or $434. Katherine said no, their negotiated rate is higher and that she would not call GEHA because she knows! Needless to say I cancelled my appointment and booked with a legitimate endodontist.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Dr. Clark. He was kind, attentive, and confident, and he got me in and out in a timely and professional manner. I couldn't ask for more. I highly recommend using this office for your endodontic needs.

Fantastic experience: I was so pleased with my visit! I had a time scheduled on a different day but had asked to be called if there was an earlier opening, which they did! The front staff was very friendly and after a short wait Dr. Clark came in and carefully listened to the symptoms of my aching tooth. After evaluation, we decided a root canal through a molar crown would be the proper treatment. The procedure from start to finish lasted no longer than 35 minutes! The numbing was completely effective and even once it wore off I never experienced any pain from the procedure! I highly recommend Dr. Clark and his office!

Fantastic experience: It’s probably uncommon to hear the words “great” and “root canal” all in one sentence but I had a great root canal with Dr. Lloyd. I told him up front that I was very unsettled by being in his office. Dr. Lloyd’s pleasant and professional demeanor along with his highly refined treatment skills helped me relax. The whole procedure went exactly as he described and I didn’t experience any pain during the procedure (local anesthetic only but they have other options available). The worst part was keeping my mouth open for a long time. McKinney Endodontics staff were friendly and their office procedures were smooth. I was able to schedule quickly and had solid communication with the staff. I highly recommend this practice if you need their specialty.

Fantastic experience: My first root canal at an endodontist in Denver was horrific. This experience with Dr Lloyd was 180 degree difference! He was so kind and listened to all my concerns and took the time with me to explain everything and help me understand each step and he never rushed me. He was awesome! Plus, he was correct in the diagnosis of a piece of cotton left in the former root canal by the other endodontist! Thank you to him and this office for saving my tooth!

Negative experience: I had an appt for an evaluation which was 178.00 for a possible infected tooth. The Dr. seemed rushed and didn't answer all my questions. I was told to get a scan which at checkout I found was 300.00. When I paid I was told the Dr. was busy and would call me in a bit to give me results. He never did-knowing they were closed fri-tues. I Called Monday and was told she would try to get him to call me back, I didn't hear from him. Today I get a text saying I'm scheduled tomorrow for an appt without even asking if that time or day works. I waited a week to find out if I've got an infected tooth. Turned out not only was my tooth infected, but I had a sinus infection. This is such poor care. For 500.00 I recommended you go anywhere else. On a positive note, all the girls in the office were very nice. His assistant was very sweet.

Fantastic experience: I am in my mid 70’s and for the first time in my life I was informed by my periodontist that I needed root canal surgery. They recommended I called McKinney Endodontics and from that point going forward everything was seamless. Their office had received a referral from my periodontist and the process began. Calling their office for an appointment, was advised what the cost would be and they contacted my dentist to coordinate the next steps. I was able to complete my medical information on line. On the day of my appointment the office staff completed the needed additional documentation. The procedure started on the appointed time when it was explained, to my understanding, what would be done. The doctor was very professional and skilled and the process was completed in a very reasonable period of time. His assistants did an awesome job ensuring my comfort prior to, during and after the surgery. Nobody looks forward to root canal but McKinney Endodontics made this event so flawless I would not hesitate to go thru this operation again. Furthermore, I would highly recommend this practice to anyone that is in need of Endodontics procedure.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Dr. Lloyd. Was having significant tooth pain and Dr. Marshall suggested I see Dr. Lloyd. His office was able to accomodate me rapidly and got me into an appointment the next day. After an examination of the painful area, Dr. Lloyd confirmed the need for a root canal. He did an amazing job and I was out of there within an hour. Now I'm pain free.

Fantastic experience: I loathe and despise dentist and Endodontics visits but I just got a root canal and Dr. Clark and staff were amazing! I am terrified of any kind of dental work/procedures but coming here was a God send. If you fear dental work of any kind, there will be none here.

Fantastic experience: Firstly, I have an intense fear of dentists and dental work. I have spent the last 22 years doing all I can to AVOID needing dental work. I brush 3 times a day, floss 2 times a day and have not had as much as a cavity since before 2002. Then at my last cleaning I was told that I have an infection over one of my upper molars which was crowned in 1999. Secondly, I wanted full anesthesia to get the root canal done (which is an option), but it didn't work out (insurance would not cover it). So I had to be a big girl and get this done with just Nitrous Oxide. Dr Lloyd was AMAZING. I felt nothing!!! Not even the dreaded Lidocaine shot. I felt nothing, heard nothing (headset and music), and saw nothing (sunglasses). Which is exactly how I wanted it. He was patient with me, answered all my questions. He was very calm/calming. His staff is amazing and also answered all my questions. Kelly rocks! Lastly ..if I ever needed another root canal (God forbid), as long as Dr Lloyd is in business, it will be a breeze! I had no swelling and little to no pain even after the numbness went away!!! Thank you Dr Lloyd!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Clark and his staff helped me through a very tough time. When I met him I thought of Clark Kent aka Superman and he is a hero to me. I have a very small mouth and was worried that no one would be able help me, so the tooth would be pulled. He had to use an infant bite block but he got the job done. I was going on a trip and his staff worked me in. He also gave me prescription to take with me just in case I needed it. Excellent work, caring staff and Endodontist. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: Unfriendly desk receptionist, snotty in fact. Once I was placed in a room, I waited 30 minutes for the doctor, only to agree with the X-ray and findings of my dentist. The room furniture was old and ripped. Actually dirty environment. Very disappointed because I trust my hygienist.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr. Matthew Lloyd by my dentist because of an infection caused by bacteria in an unfound area because of a complexly shaped root during a routine root canal. I found McKinney Endodontics staff to be both professional and genuine. Dr. Lloyd quickly evaluated my condition, offered 3 options, then had my insurance coverage explained. Fantastic experience: After dreading having a root canal and struggling with dental work anxiety for several years, I was pleasantly surprised to have a very positive experience. Dr. Matt Lloyd and his entire staff were friendly, encouraging, and considerate. Dr. Lloyd is an excellent endodontist, who inspires trust. I was amazed that the pain injections did not actually hurt, but only produced a sensation of slight discomfort--I experienced no pain during the root canal. Fantastic experience: There are two main things I can say about McKinney Endodontics and Dr. Lloyd. Number one they are very accommodating. I live in Tishomingo OK and drove to McKinney for an appointment. I needed to have a root canal done and was going to have to drive back on another day, but they were able to fit me in and saved me another trip. The second thing is the root canal. Dr. Lloyd is so good that I almost went to sleep in the chair twice. I mean who goes to sleep during a root canal? Really? Thank you Dr. Lloyd.

Fantastic experience: I had a persistent toothache that went nuclear overnight. My regular dentist could not find an obvious problem with the tooth and referred me to McKinney Endonontics around 11am. Dr. Clark examined the tooth and recommended a root canal. He was able to work me into the schedule without an appointment and by 4pm it was fixed, same day. The procedure itself took about 30 minutes, which amazed me. These folks are pros.

Fantastic experience: The BEST experience I have had not only with a root canal, but a dental visit in general. Such a sweet office. Everyone was so pleasant. Dr. Lloyd was so so wonderful. Constantly making sure I was comfortable and at ease. Minimal waiting in the front office. Once taken back there was no waiting in between X-rays, numbing, meeting the Dr., talking insurance, and procedure. Very fluid. Without feeling like they were rushed or I was just another patient being pushed through. Also, one random, but very impactful thing I noticed, was Dr. Lloyd would sometimes say thank you (and so kindly!) to the assistant when she handed him tools. I don’t think I’ve ever heard that before. Very impressed. As far as procedure…the numbing injections were little to no pain, I kept waiting for the big pinches. Amazing! Root canal went quick, no discomfort. I am one day post-procedure and my mouth feels great! Little sore in the morning. But I am shocked and have zero complaints. Well done Dr. Lloyd and McKinney Endodontics!

Fantastic experience: This was my first root canal and I was extremely anxious about the process. Dr. Clark was kind and open from the get-go. He listened to my concerns and made sure all of them were addressed prior to beginning. The process was quick (in and out in 1 hour for 2 root canals) and PAINLESS. Fantastic experience: This is my second time getting a root canal with Dr. Clark, and I could not be happier. Dr. Clark is an utmost professional at the top of his trade. They made the entire experience comfortable, quick, and relatively painless. For a procedure you'd expect to be somewhat terrible, it was surprisingly mild (because of the methods and techniques they use) and Dr. Clark simply is the BEST. I highly recommend Dr. Clark, and his office staff are great as well!

Fantastic experience: I want to give a major shout out to Dr. Clark and his staff. First of all, anxiety surrounding a root canal is HUGE for me (due to trauma from past experiences) so the nerves kicked in when I placed the call to schedule. However, the kindest woman took my call, she took the time to listen to me “anxiety fast talk” about 100 things and my personal dental experiences. She truly listened to me, understood my fears, and assured me I would feel differently with Dr. Clark. I hung up the phone wondering what magic she used to calm me down and actually have me look forward to my appointment! From start to finish I was HEARD by Dr. Clark and his staff, I felt zero pain, and I was done in under an hour. Unreal! I hopped up from my chair and told them I wanted to hug them. And I meant it! Dr. Clark and his staff removed all fear surrounding root canals or any procedure that I’ll need in the future. I am forever grateful for that and now a forever patient! Thank you Dr. Clark and staff, from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Clark was great! He walked me through everything regarding my teeth and the procedure. I was in and out for my root canal within an hour! Literally did not feel a thing (minus the numbing shot).

Fantastic experience: Great place. Really friendly staff and the Endodontist and team did such a great job. Went in for a root canal which I delayed getting for many months as was a bit worried about the pain, but these folks were so good that I honestly felt virtually nothing the whole procedure. They even were able to use my existing crown on the tooth which saved me from having to buy a new one (which is costly as insurance would not cover a crown on same tooth again). Very professional job and would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Nobody wants to have to have a root canal, but the staff and dentist here made it so easy.The staff is super nice, the dentist was very good at explaining things. I never felt anything after the first punch of the shot, zero pain. I was in and out of there in an hour and 15 minutes.

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal by Dr. Clark yesterday and he and his staff were so amazing and kind! They thoroughly explained everything to me and constantly checked on me throughout the procedure to ensure my comfort. They worked together smoothly and flawlessly and I was in and out of the office in just over 30 mins. I would highly recommended Dr. Clark and McKinney Endodontics!

Fantastic experience: Dr Clark certainly knows his business. He is polite, has good bed side manners and certainly puts you at ease. I was not ready to get the procedure done but on Dr Clark’s advise I went ahead and I am glad I did. Today is day two after procedure and the tooth feels normal. Cannot ask for more.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend McKinney Endodontics to everyone. I recently was in severe pain and needed a root canal, my dentist could not get me in for a week and did not recommend any other options. I phoned McKinney Endodontics at 12:15pm on a Thursday, spoke to Kelly who is fantastic, she walked me through the process, she certainly deserves a raise, she was able to get me an appointment at 1:00pm and I was done at 2:30pm the same day. Negative experience: Not recommended. I went on a referral from my regular DDS for a second opinion. I waited 45 mins in the lobby and 45 mins in the room where the assistant toke me back and took one x ray. Dr. Lloyd came in and within mins told me I had a cracked tooth. It was what I expected to hear but I don't feel I should have waited an hour and a half for a 1 minute diagnosis. That's not even the worst part, at all Next, I told him about the pain and the vertigo I was having leading from the tooth into my ear and he told me that he doesn't think it is related to the tooth. The vertigo and pain increased to the point I had to start my own research. Being in health and wellness, I knew he was wrong. Sure enough, my ear nerves were infected from the tooth and causing the pain and severe vertigo. I was scheduled for an extraction by my primary DDS for the following week. Can you imagine if I went in for an extraction and had an infection that went on for another week without antibiotics?? No thanks. I wasn't even going to post a review but I received about 10 noticed via email and text messages pushing me to make a review so I thought I would save someone else from this nightmare.

Fantastic experience: At 62 years of age this was my first root canal. Dr. Clark was excellent. He clearly explained the process, listened to my concerns about anesthesia (I'm a redhead) and proceeded with a virtually painless process which was completed within one hour. Easiest dental procedure I've ever been through, and all staff were very polite and welcoming. I have no problem attaching my name to this recommendation.

Fantastic experience: Having had a lot of pain in my mouth, I had a referral here from my dentist. Needless to say, I set an appointment up with Dr. Clark. My experience was the best I’ve ever had at a specialist and I would go back in a minute if I have any other issues. Fantastic experience: Pricey, but you get what you pay for! I was absolutely terrified of getting my root canal. I didn't know what to expect and was very nervous. It was a semi-private room (unlike at the dentist where everyone can hear and see you). The hygienist was so sweet, front desk amazing, and Dr. Clark came right in and made me feel calm with the nitrous right away. I think I was in and out in literally less than an hour. Worth the extra money to know that you are in excellent hands.

Fantastic experience: Mckinney Endodotics took great care of my son. He had a bad toothache that started over the weekend and our general dentist recommended Mckinney endodontics. They were able to get him in right way and Dr. Lloyd and his staff was great! He did my son root canal and he was able to get to school same day feeling back to himself. Fantastic experience: Wish I could give more than 5 stars! After experiencing real PTSD from my last root canal, I was terrified to go back to a dentist. I suffered in pain and continuing decay for a long time because of that fear. I did my research and discovered this practice. Is it crazy to say my root canal was a good experience?? Dr. Lloyd is amazing! My root canal was pain free, including the novocaine shots I dreaded so much. He quickly and expertly completed the root canal. His kind, gentle demeanor definitely put me at ease. He was even apologetic at times that what he needed to do might cause discomfort. All staff I encountered during the process were very professional and friendly. If you have to have a root canal, this is the place to do it!
