MINT dentistry | McKinney

Positive experience: After not going to the dentist for about two years I decided to try Mint Dentistry after hearing their ads for years. Booking online was easy, but oddly they contacted my wife instead of the phone/email I provided. When I arrived, I still had to fill out a lot of redundant paperwork that I’d already submitted online, which felt pretty outdated. The staff was friendly, and the cleaning itself was painless and thorough. No issues there, and the dentist was great. However, some of the heavily advertised “perks” were underwhelming. The “massage chair” is really just vibration, and the music option runs through one shared Pandora account, so songs kept cutting out whenever someone in another chair changed it. They also offered complimentary whitening trays while I waited, but when I went to pick them up they had been mislabeled and mixed with someone else’s molds, so I left without them. The team was nice, but the overall experience felt a bit disorganized. At this point I’m honestly on the fence about returning, especially if it requires another trip just to redo something that already got messed up once.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Mint was 10/10. The staff is always friendly, and my dental hygenist Isai was exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure my teeth were cleaned properly. Will definitely recommend!

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at Mint Dentistry for about 4 years and have gone every 6 months for cleanings. Until today, no one ever told me I needed crowns or a deep cleaning. I came in for a routine cleaning and was suddenly told I “needed” a deep cleaning (more expensive) and that they would not do a regular cleaning at all. Then they quoted me for a crown and said I needed multiple crowns—again, the first time I’ve ever heard this despite consistent visits. I left because I didn’t feel comfortable being refused the service I came for and being pushed into costly treatment that had never been mentioned before. I’ll be getting a second opinion elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a fantastic experience with Isai at Mint Dentistry in McKinney! He’s incredibly friendly and puts you at ease right away. He explained everything clearly, worked gently yet thoroughly, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. My teeth feel so clean and fresh—it’s exactly what you hope for when visiting the dentist. You can tell he really takes pride in his work and cares about his patients. Highly recommend Isai if you want a good care with a personal touch!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever not only they tell you one thing over the phone to get you in then they wanna come with a treatment plan to get rich not based on your care I got one extraction and during that the Dr cracked the tooth next to the one he extracted they wanted me to wait til after lunch after being there for 8am he rushed the job I swallowed pieces of broken tooth and all 0 stars I would have preferred

Fantastic experience: I have severe dental anxiety that is mostly triggered from the sounds. Historically, it seems my procedures were sometimes rushed and hastily done. Understandably, as I sometimes I involuntarily tear up. Jeanie was so calming and kind. She worked fast, but she was so thorough. I can easily say Jeanie gave me the very best cleaning I’ve ever gotten. If you have dental anxiety, don’t put off your routine cleaning. Ask for Jeanie.

Fantastic experience: All professionals and even though I waited a bit more in the lobby because I had switched insurance they still got me taken care of and out the door in a reasonable time. Also helped I didn’t have cavities.

Fantastic experience: My experience recently was absolutely amazing! Everything was smooth and fast. I needed some feel-ins done and a cleaning. There was 0 amount of pain, the process went by so quick, I was surprised. The Doctor, her assistant and the cleaning dentist communicated with me through out the entire process, so I felt more comfortable, plus the cozy blanket they gave me and back massages from the chair. Everybody there is always so sweet and accommodate to anything you may need. There’s no other dentistry I’d rather go to honestly.

Negative experience: Today I went in for a routine cleaning at this location for the first time. Everything went smoothly and had a pleasant experience except for the main girl (Rachel, brunette with glasses) who did my imaging. She took me back to stand and do the rotating image machine, and before she started she asked me if I had any ear piercings and I said no, just a nose ring. Then she proceeded to ask me if I could take “that” off, referring to my headscarf, I said no? What a weird question. I can’t tell if she was genuinely asking me to remove it although there should be no issue to get the image with my hijab. Or if she was just plain racist and lacked basic knowledge of other cultures and religions living in America. Anyways, please educate your staff. Ty!

Fantastic experience: I've suffered from severe fear of dental visits my whole life. (Who hasn't) From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I was treated with nothing but kindness and patience. Someone even sat with me through my panic attack and made sure I was okay before proceeding with the work. My cleaning was quick and Rachel talked me through it and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I have finally found a trusted dentist!

Issa has been the dental hygienist who took care of me the last few visits. Super cool. Has a deft touch and a great musical taste (I guess I'm old, so I'm picky; don't get me started on modern music) easy to talk to but won't push the conversation if you're not feeling it. Everyone is so caring and gracious. I need extra dental work and they always remind me but are never pushy about it. I have been waiting for my own reasons. I would recommend to anyone to try them.

What I appreciate about Mint Dentistry is that you get the same quality of care wherever you go. My first visit to McKinney office was a testament to that. From the front desk to hygienist to dentist, I felt completely cared for. That you Carolina, Isai, my hygienist, and Dr. Peterson for taking care of me and my sexy teeth.

Fantastic experience: Today 11/04 Again I have been treated like a person , insist of an insurance recipient. I come in Kiera with the warmest greeting , I waited til Ms Rachel came and got me . We crack jokes in the bad , she assure me that she was gonna take care of me . I freak out about needles , but to my surprise She calm my anxiety and begin doing her work , which she was quick on the draw . Everything was superb and I didn’t have to cut Ms Rachel shoelace lol. Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO MINT DENISTRY! They are shady and dishonest. All the hype you may hear on the radio is BS! None of the advertisements are valid and do not apply once they get you in the back. They do not show you pricing for services done. They will charge your insurance for services the HAVE NOT DONE! Is that even legal? STAY AWAY!!!

Fantastic experience: Christine, my dental hygienist was really amazing! The past dental hygienist that I’ve had (not at mint) were so rough with my clean to where I can feel them hitting my gums through the numbness. But with Christine I could have sat in that chair all day. Also she was very caring making sure I was comfortable and checking on me throughout the clean.
