Fantastic experience: Dr Marshall was great as always. The hygienist, I think Jennie, did and excellent job and was very pleasant.

Negative experience: Receptionists: not very kind. Doctors: FANTASTIC & worth it if you can handle the receptionists making life harder for you. So I got married last year. This year, when I came in for my dental cleaning (and to replace a retainer), I informed them that I was now on my husband's insurance. The receptionist was not able to tell me how much of my cleaning would be covered, yet she heavily suggested I just get the cleaning anyway, then find out how big my bill was later. I didn't want to get smacked with a large bill out of nowhere, so the receptionist said she could send a pre-authorization to my new insurance, to find out how much they would cover. To my knowledge at the time, that's what she did. Two and a half weeks pass. I come in to pick up my retainer and pay for it, which I'd at least budgeted for. I was waiting to schedule the dental cleaning once the pre-authorization came back. The same receptionist is sitting there; I ask her if there's word on the pre-auth. At first she mistakenly says "oh yeah, everything is covered!" I wish I'd gotten that in writing, because then she double checks...and finds that the pre-authorization request was still sitting in her drafts. It had never been sent. And this was AFTER she'd told me that the email could take a month to get a reply. Again, she advises / loosely pressures me to "just move forward with the appointment" and get my mystery bill later. At this point, I'm annoyed, because there's no way I'm moving forward without knowing how much I'm paying out of pocket, when she's told me that the total cost with no coverage is four hundred dollars. So I wait another two weeks. They finally tell me that the majority of the cleaning isn't covered. I'd still be paying at least $250. And if I hadn't been my own best advocate, I may have gotten that bill. I stuck it out because I LOVE the doctors, but after what happened at the reception desk, there's no way I can move forward with this place. I find it mind-boggling that some people in the medical field think the average layperson is just made of money. Please, reception desk, put more courtesy towards your customers' pockets.

Fantastic experience: Great diagnostician. Great attention to site safety, health, and detail. Never prescribes unnecessary work And cares about patients health, finances, and best practices. He does like to talk a lot, and if anything, over explains his reasons on everything. I enjoy my sessions there, especially when he tells me “no dentistry needed to address this issue.“ His guidance has been consistently correct.

I’d heard about Dr. Marshall & had made appointments for future cleanings. But then quite suddenly I had a dental infection. I saw him for the first time with a dire need that could’ve become a true emergency, had he not worked me in for exam & then made appropriate referral. He took my medical history seriously & now I’m sure I’ll be just fine! A big Thank You to him & his very nice staff!!

Negative experience: This dental office is a joke. Numerous appointments to fix their own mistakes with a crown, no explanation of how they are going to fix it. They overbilled me for a service, provided a refund, and then after saying a follow up was no charge, they send me a bill. Thank god I’m done here

Negative experience: Their dental work is pretty good but the office department won’t provide a receipt on the day you go in and charge you that same day. After you pay they will call you weeks after saying that your insurance only covered so much than try to get you for money and claim that you didn’t pay in full even though there was an agreed payment the day you went in. All I would need is clarification as to what I’m paying for the day of on a paper copy but I was denied on the day I went stating that it wasn’t ready but still I was billed on the day I went in.

Fantastic experience: Front desk staff & Ann, hygienist, are all very good & friendly. Ann gave me a chance to get a quick breath after removing the suction. Hygienists, Jamey & Julie are AWESOME. Dr. Marshall is wonderful! This practice is definitely TOP TIER in all aspects of their dentistry.

Starting from the receptionist (they are great), Jamie (she’s amazing, detailed and always in good mood), and Dr Marshal (he’s very competent and funny)… all of them are very nice and very professional. Fantastic experience: Virginia Parkway dental Is hands down one of the best dentistry I have even been to. My hygienist, Julie, is well experienced and gentle. She explains and educates throughout the visit. She is pleasant and shows that she enjoys what she is doing. The seasoned dentist, Dr. Marshall is not rushing too pull teeth or do unnecessary procedures as do so many other dentist do, rather preservation and only necessary restorations. I went to a dentist last year that told me I need at least four filling and a crown. I don’t rush when it comes to my teeth so I looked at their reviews and went for a second opinion. Best decision! I only need one small overlay on an old tooth with filling. The use of the 3D intra-oral camera was interactive and let you see what they are telling you. I found my dental home. I will certainly recommend Virginia Parkway dental to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Marshall for almost 10 years. I originally chose this office because it was close to my work. I no longer work in McKinney and now I drive about 30 minutes to see him. I've tried other dentists that were closer and every time they say I need costly work done. I ignore them, go back to Dr. Marshall and everything is fine. He's very competent and I know any problems will be addressed but he doesn't jump to doing expensive treatments like some others do.

I moved away from McKinney about 6 years ago and now live 3.5 hours away, but I have come back to this office as my main dentist, scheduling visits when I come in town to see my family.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy to have found my way to this dental practice! Dr. Marshall does not try to sell you work you don’t need! He is kind, gentle, takes his time to mske sure his work is perfect and that you are comfortable. On top of all that he explains everything and I can tell he enjoys what he does, not just in it for the money All around a great guy! His wife is the hygienist and she too is fantastic! Positive experience: FYI I don’t give 5 star reviews so 4 is very good. My hygienist was very thorough and explained cleaning Process in detail. She was also very personable and answered all my questions. Dr. Marshall was very thorough in his initial examination explaining things that he saw in detail that I had never heard before. I was very pleased with choosing Dr. Marshall to be my new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Let's start off by saying the universal standard is that NOBODY likes going to the dentist...right?! I'm part of the group with that sentiment. After 60 years of dentist experiences, that's been reinforced. Well, I needed to find a new dentist and was recently at my oral surgeon (the BEST oral surgeon in Collin County, Dr. Mark Craig!!!) and asked for his recommendation. He suggested Dr Marshall and said he knew him for years and he's a great dentist. I went the other day, and I have to say, best General Dentist experience ever! Dr Marshall is so nice and friendly and he doesn't throw a bunch of stuff at you saying you need to replace fillings, etc. He spent the time with me to understand my situation, did a thorough exam of my mouth and came up with a plan of action. I actually look forward to seeing him again, which I never thought I'd say about a dentist. Told my wife and daughter that they both need to start seeing him as well.

Fantastic experience: Just had my first visit. Have known Dr. Marshall for some time but felt like the drive was too far. Frustration with my past two dentists led me to the conclusion to make the drive to his office. Wow, I have never had as thorough an initial exam as I had at Virginia Parkway dental. I was very impressed. And Dr. Marshall’s energy and enthusiasm for his patients is just extraordinary. Had to wait quite a while to get scheduled, but we’ll worth the wait.
