Dr. Afshari has never failed to be compassionate and caring, or to provide high-quality dental care. A trip to the dentist has always been my least favorite of all doctor appointments, but Dr. Afshari and her equally caring, professional staff have over the years helped me feel much less anxious. I truly feel that together we are a team, focused on taking the best care possible of my teeth and gums. Today an amazing hygienist named Grace took care of me during my regular cleaning visit. I know that I'm a high-maintenance patient, and she made me feel very comfortable and welcome. She also gave me many helpful pointers on caring for my teeth between dentist visits that I'd never heard before. Thank you to everyone at Fair Oaks Quality Dental for being exactly who you are. Came back, and the whole team was fantastic. Dr. was helpful and thorough. She did not send judgment on how long it had been since my last visit. Christine was very pleasant and nice in getting the prescription and appointment made. Overall, great experience in an uncomfortable situation.

Fantastic experience: THE BEST DENTIST EVER! Honestly, I've never enjoyed the dentist (EVER) and have had a lot of traumatic experiences in my past with other providers. This Dentist in my opinion is the first to actually care for my mouth in ways I never thought possible. She understands you as her patient and cares about doing the right things the first time. Best Dentist I've ever been to and actually excited to come back for checkups. Just had a tooth removed today and the Male Dentist/Orthodontist that took care of me helped with my anxiety and prescribed me medications for before and after my procedure. Just downright awesome experience, knowledgeable staff and for the first time in my life I actually look forward to going to the dentist.

I'm very critical of dental offices which claim to offer top-notch service, but ai find it difficult to be critical to Fair Oaks Quality Dental, as I've never had a poor experience here. Christine works her best to ensure all patients feel heard and provides exceptional customer service. She provides a great example all dental offices should follow regarding customer service. Dr. Afshari is an exceptional dentist, she truly cares about her patients and ensures the work her establishment performs is done perfectly everytime. She is more careful than most dentists I've seen. She is an extremely kind person as well. I'm so glad to have found this dental office. Negative experience: I came in for a cleaning and x-ray. The dentist refused to do a basic cleaning and demanded I do a $1,500 deep cleaning and that it was against her practice otherwise. Very unprofessional and made me appreciate other dental offices. If you want to spend unnecessary money this is your place! Highly dont recommend this office. Goodluck.

We actually schedule our exams around times we can come back to the area to get our bi-annual cleanings and exams. Dr Afshari is an amazing educator and clearly head-of-the-class in clinical skill, and her hygienists are all super competent and thorough. A special shout-out to Christine, who knew us by name and story by the first appointment, and each time we call, recognizes who we are by voice. She is personable and cordial, like a real friend.

Fantastic experience: I have been battling gum disease for quite some time. I finally decided to try the perio protect. I have had the trays for about 3 weeks now. I’m super excited after my office visit yesterday. My cleaning was minimal. My gums are plumper and did not excessively bleed. The money spent was well worth it already. I can’t wait to see the results at my next visit.

Have been going to her practice for the last 7+ years (since we retired to this area) & cannot imagine having to look for another dentist. Dr. Afshari’s staff (Melinda, Christine, Jessica, & the rest of the staff) are a reflection of her personality & the enjoyment she shows in working with people. All of the aforementioned statements come from a person who has never enjoyed visits to the dentist. Not to worry, Dr. Afshari and her staff made my return figuratively and literally painless. The Dr. took x-rays, moldings, and put me back on track. The entire staff showed genuine concern for my absence without a hint of admonishment. A truly terrific dental family.

I came to them because of the good reviews, but it feels like they leave them for themselves. I am very glad that my experience with them was only a simple procedure, but even then I left with bleeding gums, pain and discomfort in my mouth. And a returning fear of dentists!!! She’s quick and efficient. I never thought my front tooth would look the same with a large filling. It looks like a new tooth. I’m extremely pleased. Negative experience: Excellent Iranian dentist, but behaving unethically (Updated taking 1 star off for the reason below) ******** 1 stars for kindness. Minus 4 stars for questionable upselling, lying and restricting my freedom, and 'possibly' misdiagnosed my condition. ******** I had this dentist from since they opened, but 4 years ago I was told I had deep pocket and paid for an expensive and quite useless form fitting gel holding thing. PARADONTIC Since i never saw any real improvement I decided I wanted to go back to regular cleaning which is fully covered by insurance. First the dentist said that the insurance does not allow that unless they can see progress on gum health. So I called the insurance and they told me it is up to me and the doctor to decide, so I ask her again to be allowed to going back to regular cleaning and the doctor denied me my choice stating via the operator (she never even came to the phone) she can loose her licence (sic) if she does that!!! So she just make things up and since she did my last 'deep cleaning' I realized her deep cleaning was just another regular cleaning and nothing more... So I finally unsderstood she was just upselling me and the insurance. Periodontal care requires every 4 months schedule visits which I never did but she still wanted to force me into a protocol I never really followed. This proved me she is willing to see me every 6 months but claims i am on a periodontical schedule which is at least morally dishonest if not illegal... For a persecutated Iranian religious minority as she is from, she should know how painful is when someone else attempt to control your behavior and denies your free choice so I am really sad she decided to go against her personal history and bended her faith to pure greed which is another religion... The trust is broken and my wife will have to leave too and i did not want to. Had you practice honesty we would have stayed.... I am very sad for you but remember you live in America now, not in Iran and in America we celebrate FREEDOM Update Nov 2023: After I went to another dentist I found out that I did not even have gum desease or deep pockets as I was told for years..... I wish I could say I have done something to fix this issue in the past years, but the truth is that I have not done anything different... therefore I either experienced a miracle or the dentist misdaignosed my condition all along.... I believe in miracles but not of this kind so more likely she just made a mistake all along which cost me hundreds of $$$ in unnecessary expenses. So I would reccomend you get another opinion before you let this dentist tell you you need lots more dental attention than you possibly really need... she is very nice as a person, but I think she is simply not very honest or professional unfortunately.... :-(
