There’s often an anxiety around the unknown that can make it easy to put off, even though dental health is such an important part of taking care of ourselves. That’s why I felt so compelled to share my experience with Dr. Hensen’s office. My experience there has been truly exceptional. Dr. Elena has such a kind, gentle, calming way about her that immediately put me at ease. She made me feel comfortable, cared for, and genuinely understood. Because of her, my whole perspective on going to the dentist has shifted in such a positive way. Dr. Hensen is wonderful as well, and the entire office reflects warmth, professionalism, and compassion. Amy at the front desk is absolutely amazing and adds so much to the welcoming atmosphere. This office doesn’t just provide excellent dental care — they make you feel safe, valued, and supported. I’m so grateful to have found a team like this. They have truly helped put my fears to rest, and I cannot say enough good things about them.

Fantastic experience: This review is long overdue. I have been a dentist phobic for many years due to some unfortunate experiences in the past. Over the years, I have avoided setting foot in a dental office until I found Hansen Smiles. Dr John Hansen and his daughter Dr Elena Hansen are exceptional dentists. Their office staff and dental hygienists are welcoming and sensitive to your needs and they contribute positive vibes to the experience. Initially, in spite of reading the many glowing 5 star reviews on Yelp about Hansen Smiles, I spent a few sleepless nights in anticipation of my first appointment. Now I can say after several visits and 2 years later, that I am very lucky to have found such intelligent, talented, and capable, professionals. My bonded teeth are the best they have looked in a long time, and the healthiest, too. Thanks to Dr John, and more recently, Dr Elena. Aside from their technical skills, they show their level of commitment to the patient by investing a lot of time and energy in producing quality work. I have found my forever dentists.

Dr. Hansen did a full reconstruction, and my teeth look amazing. You would never know there was anything wrong with them. He is very gentle. From the first inquiry phone call and throughout my search for a cosmetic dentist Dr Hansens staff was professional and easy to work with. I knew immediately after meeting Dr Hansen and his staff in person that I was going to choose this path. Most people are afraid of the dentist office because they've experienced pain. Not here...scary visits are a thing of the past. Care is mostly painless (not gonna lie...still not fond of Novocain shots, but Dr's technique is amazing- like a little pinch...) and you can fall asleep during your regular hygiene visit. They truly treat you like family and make sure you are comfortable and happy. Dr. Hansen is so knowledgeable and stays on top of the latest education by teaching other dentists what he knows. Honesty, he's the best dentist on the planet!

After the x-rays were taken the dental assistant in Dr. Hansen both explained everything to me regarding what they saw in the x-rays. This was very helpful and explained in a way so I can easily understand what they saw.

Fantastic experience: John Hansen is in a league of his own in the cosmetic dentistry world. My wife and I both had our veneers done by Dr. Hansen 20+ years ago. To this day, our veneers are beautiful. So when our adult daughter needed veneers, there was only one choice, Dr. John Hansen. Even though we reside in the San Diego area, we chose to send our daughter to northern California to have her veneer work performed by Dr. Hansen. The results for our daughter were life changing. Dr. Hansen does such great work I convinced my husband to get some work done there and now my mom. I will say that I often have to pay out of pocket because my insurance doesn't cover everything but I think it is worth it.

He referred me to Endodontis, Dr.Hwang in Roseville, and, set me up for a same day appointment for a root canal and cleaning out & removal of access in that same tooth! I wa in alot of pain before I went in yesterday, but, not anymore!! Best root canal I ever had!! I can't wait to see Dr. Hansen for the follow through crown replacements I need!! Receptionist Amy greets & welcomes patients, and sets the tone for the upcoming superlative care that all the staff provides.
