Fantastic experience: Just saw Marie and she ALWAYS is great.

Fantastic experience: Everyone there was very helpful and sweet. I could not recommend enough. I have tightness in my jaw and they let me take as many breaks as needed to ease my pain. They offered at home remedies and were not pushy about follow up appointments or dismissed my concerns in any way.

Negative experience: The staff were friendly and kind, but I don't feel they examined my teeth as thoroughly as they could have; practically all their reports and suggestions were based off of X-rays and none of the tools dentists typically use. But what ultimately turned me off was the price. Even with my insurance, they quoted over $1,300 for an inlay, which my insurance covers (I double-checked this with my provider, and they also said the quote was horribly wrong). I'm respectfully leaving this office for another.

Fantastic experience: Dr Cruz is really good. He is very patient and considerate of his patients pain level. He has a conservative approach which I really liked. Also he is very skillful with his hands when it comes to instrument handling. I only mention all this because this is what I pay attention to. Being “funny” is a good thing, but it is not something I am primarily looking for in my dentist. We recently moved to Roseville. Of course out of nowhere I had a broken crown. Their office was kind enough to see me quickly for a short appointment and took some short term steps to buy us some time. I came back after a few weeks and revived excellent care. Overall one of my best experiences.

Positive experience: Showed up early to a routine cleaning, didn’t get pulled back until 25 minutes after scheduled appointment time. Then had to sit around waiting for the dentist. Time management for the appointments needs to be looked into. This is the third time someone in my family has had these kinds of delays. Frustrating.

Maria was patient, took her time explaining everything, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. She also encouraged me to ask questions and answered them thoroughly. Negative experience: The girls from the front office had the worst attitude as I tried to figure out my insurance and tried to reschedule an appointment. She sarcastically offered me an appointment on the very last day I said I was available when I offered her a full 6 weeks of availability. Really? Not one available appointment for 6 full weeks for a check up until the very last day? Weird.. Then when I finally got to the appointment, they tried to charge me an extra random $55 and claimed it was because I cancelled the previous appointment ‘because it was the holidays and you didn’t want to deal with it’ is exactly what they told me, which is not true at all. They never warned me about a charge and I didn’t cancel or anything last minute either. Then they were extremely rude when trying to justify this crazy charge and only explained what it was when I asked what it was about. They tried to slip it in the with the rest of the bill. You already have extortionate prices for a strip mall dentist. Please don’t go here. Plenty of places around who are at least nicer to you. Also they give you a Starbucks gift card if you leave a 5* review. So what does that tell you?

Fantastic experience: Everyone has been very helpful and thorough. I’m happy to be making this place my regular dentist.

Negative experience: They screwed up my appointment time, luckily I was able to make it in. They prepped me for a root canal, numbed me up and left me in the chair for an hour. The numbing agent wore off in that time. I am highly sensitive to novocain and I get very jittery and feel awful. I told them this information, but I know it works the best so I dealt with it. (There is an alternative but it really doesn’t work that well) It was hard for me. My whole body tingled and my hands got shaky, but I got through it. I knew they were going to have to do it again because it wore off in that time by like 85% and I couldn’t handle that, so I left. Apparently there was a complication with the procedure before me, but no one communicated with me. I had to get up and walk to the front desk to ask. They told me to sit down and offered me a glass of water I waited 10 more minutes (over an hour in total) before I left. I’m still in pain, nothing got done, they didn’t offer me another appointment or call me after I left . I had to call them to make sure I was refunded. I spoke with Art when I called and he said “oh, I was going to call you but you seemed pissed so I wanted to let you cool off for a while” Oh, there were also ants in the room where they made me wait. I have never experienced such unprofessional conduct. From someone who has extreme anxiety when it comes to getting dental work done, this was disappointing to say the least. I do not recommend them.

Negative experience: Find a different dentist! Their quotes do not include any pre authorization from insurance. They performed a procedure that my insurance company did not deem necessary which the dentist here never clearly explained as a possibility. Then it took me multiple calls and messages to their practice before I was ever able to speak to someone. There are plenty of options for dentists. No need to waste your time with this one.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible and traumatic experience. I have struggled with my oral health after a motor vehicle accident.. I went in already feeling self conscious but needing help. The dentist and her staff literally mocked me . Dentitt refused to refer me to an oral surgeon at all, even though I told her I am in pain, stating I could not “pick anf choose”’which teeth I want removed. pretty sure I can, since this is my mouth alone. If you want to be bullied into dental care and verbally mocked, chose this dentist. I have already filed a complaint with my insurance and the dental board.

Negative experience: I recommend steering clear of Rocky Ridge Family Dental. I received a dismissal letter similar to those shared by others on Yelp. After I declined to proceed with over $2,700 in dental work that Dr. Cruz suggested, I was dismissed as a patient. It seems that this practice prioritizes profit over patient care. The numerous one-star reviews on Yelp reflect this trend. Following this experience, I sought a second opinion from another dentist, who found no issues with my teeth. This clearly raises concerns about Dr. Cruz's ethics in recommending unnecessary procedures.

Fantastic experience: I’m always treated like Royalty when scheduled for appointment. There is no long waiting time once I’ve checked in. There is aways a smiling and cheerful technician who greets me with a smile. I’m told what they will be doing whatever that is a cleaning or adding a crown. Fantastic experience: Just got my dental cleaning done and Rocky ridge Dental is the best place to go. Josh the Dental Hygienist did an amazing and thorough job with my cleaning. My teeth feel clean and renewed. Definitely a great practice if you looking for cleanings.

Every time I come in, it is very welcoming, fun and we have a great time which is crazy considering it’s the dentist and I have major dental anxiety, but Dr. Cruz always seems to calm my nerves and make me feel very comfortable and has the best chair side manner, which is why I continue to come back Every six months (Normally, I would hide from the dentist because of my high anxiety) Brenda, let me tell you, she is like the best hygienist I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting my teeth cleaned with. Brenda is very gentle, calming and is never rough with me. I recommend Rocky Ridge Dental to anyone that would love to experience a very welcoming pleasant group of providers and staff! Negative experience: Would Not Recommend them! I called Rocky Ridge Family Dental today to check on the status of whether they sent a pre-authorization to my insurance. I spoke to the new receptionist and informed her that I had left a message for Sherrie, requesting her to run a pre-authorization with my insurance. I asked the receptionist to forward me to Sherrie so that I could speak with her directly, not leave another voicemail. She said she would check if Sherrie was available. After about a minute, the receptionist came back on the phone and said that Sherrie had instructed her to tell me, “Because you have HMO insurance, we do not run a pre-authorization. The amount listed on the paper is what you have to pay.” I told the receptionist that this was crazy, especially since I am new to this office. I feel that I am being discriminated against because I have HMO insurance. Although the dentist who evaluated me was nice, I would not recommend this office. I think Sherrie is dishonest. On my first visit on May 13, I asked her directly how much a crown would cost. She did not give me a straight answer and told me firmly that I didn't need to call my insurance, as the amount they were charging was what it would cost me. As it turned out, to have crown done is free according to my insurance this person did not have the audacity to even speak to me on the phone. It is very unprofessional for her to do that. This is the first time I have encountered discrimination based on my insurance. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Benhiwal and hygienist brenda were great!! Front staff was awesome checking in before appt and making sure my insurance was up to date. Was concerned by some bad reviews I had read before but my experience the past 3 times has always been awesome.

Fantastic experience: I had a great appointment at Rocky Ridge Family Dental today. Sherry, the receptionist, greeted me immediately when I walked into the office. She reviewed the steps that would be taken during my appointment and made sure I was in agreement with them. I was promptly brought back to the room where Dr. Behniwal and her assistant Kathryn took care of me. I have to go back for more treatment, but with how I was taken care of today, I will be looking forward to getting my teeth in great shape!

Fantastic experience: Brenda is an exceptional hygienist. The quality of her service is consistently outstanding. Brenda is diligent and my teeth always feel so good after seeing her.

Negative experience: Not happy with this dental office and think everyone should consider a different office to take you and your family. I have spent 10s of thousands of dollars out of my own pocket with this office and the work is subpar at best. Two of my crowns have a large gap and my new dentist said that is the worst gap hr has ever seen between two crowns. He laughs at it everytime I go see him. Also, rocky ridge is sending me threatening letters over $50. The kicker here is that I had to cancel my appointment but only gave them 40 hours notice of the required 48 hour notice and that wasn't good enough for them. Even though when I called to answer they said it would be fine. They called my wife's phone and asked her if we could pay the $50 and my wife asked if they could please forgive our 4 hour mistake and the lady said she would have to ask and never called back again. Now, here we are months later and they are threatening to take me to collections over $50 we assumed they were going to forget about because they never called us back. This is after myself and my insurance paid the close to $30,000. Now they are sweating the $50. STAY AWAY! SHOTTY WORK AND PETTY PRACTICES!!

Laser scanning to CNC cutting of new crowns makes the process a quick same day experience. Dr Cruz is genuinely mindful of his patients comfort by always checking in throughout the process. All of my work is done without painkiller. This request is handled in stride and with complete professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Cruz / Rocky Ridge Family Dental since around 2018 or 2019. The entire staff are always smiling and very comforting since it is not always a good visit when one goes to the dentist. The girls in the office are always so helpful! I cannot say enough good things about RRFD and Dr. Cruz! He is amazing, kind and does an excellent job, always with the concern of his patient. He also treated my granddaughter (age 17) who needed a lot of work done after her braces did a lot of damage and she hated going to the dentist so it was really difficult to get her there until she met Dr. Cruz. After that, she liked going and each time would mention how gentle he was with her teeth and he made her feel better each time and for this grandmother, was a joy for us to FINALLY see her smile!! When we lost out dental coverage after COVID, RRFD offered a plan that helps with costs for those who do not have dental insurance. They really try and work with your budget and are understanding. ABSOLUTELY ALL DAY LONG, I WOULD RECOMMEND RRFD to everyone! Thank you to all the staff who definitely have saved me multiple times. You are the best!!
