Positive experience: I’m upset about the service I received at SummerHills Dental with Dr. Kaur. I went in for a filling from this office. After the filling was done, I began experiencing pain I never had before. I later learned the tooth was actually fractured below the gum line and required a root canal. Because of this misdiagnosis, I’m now paying additional out‑of‑pocket costs to a specialist. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose trust in the judgment and treatment decisions made during my visit. (The 3 Stars is because the office clean and friendly staff) Sincerely, Judy

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Summerhill Dental Care! The entire team was friendly, welcoming, and professional. The office was clean, and the dentist took the time to explain everything clearly and answer all of my questions. They only charged me $50 for my exam and X-rays, which I thought was very reasonable. They also recommended a dental insurance plan that could help me save money on future treatment, and I really appreciated their honesty and willingness to help. I highly recommend Summerhill Dental Care to anyone looking for quality dental care at a fair price.

Positive experience: It was my first visit. The hygienist was great. The dentist not so much. When she met me, the hygienist told her it was my first visit. She welcomed me, then spent about 2 and a half minutes in my mouth told me i needed a bunch of work done and left. I don’t remember her asking me if I had any questions. She didn’t refer to my X-rays when telling me what needed to be fixed- i guess she just expected me to take her at her word that i needed $2000 worth of dental work. I would recommend taking some time to build trust and rapport with someone you just met instead of spending the minimal amount of time and sending them on their way.

Fantastic experience: Came in for an emergencies tooth ache, got scheduled in for a root canal and was giving antibiotics to help damaged nerves to do procedure and slow for pain medicine to help relieve pain. All in all service from all the workers in the the building where all caring. Very nice and pleasant. Procedure was great they number it right for the beginning and gave breathers so your jaws not over worked for the root canal.

Negative experience: No introduction or explanation of procedure from dentist. Pain still with numbing medication and dentist got impatient when having to give more. I had issues afterwards that were never resolved and still have problem areas where the new fillings are. Rough handling by dentist hitting the chair control without giving me notice and head rest kept pulling my hair. Dentist just disappeared after apparently being frustrated by my pain.

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal and will have crown in a couple of weeks. I can't say enough good things about my experience. I was afraid when I went in for appt. I was greeted with friendly faces as soon as I walked in the door. It went so much better than I expected. Dr Kaur did a great job. I felt no pain at all and her and her staff made me feel relaxed and comfortable thru the whole appt. They will now be my new Dentists. Thank you for taking the time to be gentle and caring.

Fantastic experience: I recently walked out of an appointment with a different dentist. I read all the reviews about Summerhills and decided to make an appointment. They agreed to take me on for follow up from a previous treatment, and to complete what I started by performing the last few steps in placing an implant in my jaw. They were kind, knowledgeable, and ORGANIZED. The front of the house can greatly affect if a patient feels they are seeing a trustworthy dentist. These guys landed it!!! Without making one feel like they’re being “managed”. I look forward to completing the rest of the treatment I started at the other dental offices. I’m very grateful.

Fantastic experience: Always enjoy my cleaning here, everyone is fun to be around, my teeth are always in good condition with regular check ups and cleaning. I always tease the girls if a kiss through a face mask is a kiss? so far no takers, but fun to try anyway and we have a food laugh.

Fantastic experience: I been a patient at SummerHills Dental Care for more than 10 years. Everyone there are very friendly and welcoming. My dental care management is still going very well. The doctor would always provide thier professional opinion on what is important then ask you how you like to proceed without any hesitation. I say this because I have not been persuaded in doing any procedure and I beleieve they see it that patient voice do get heard. I.e. my temporary crown came off. I call them right away and they got me seen the very next day. I was in and out without any issues. Thank you,

Fantastic experience: The dentist actually was hands on and was part of the cleaning of my teeth. The front desk employee, Cheyanne is amazing!! She is so friendly and knowledgeable. She really takes her time to meet the patient's needs. I have witnessed it time and time again. Ownership changed which as so nice but Cheyenne is a big reason I chose to stay there.

Negative experience: I was greeted by my dental hygienist and another staff person and told I had to have a panoramic x-ray. I asked questions about it, and the technician was unable to adequately tell me about it or why I needed it. I feel very strongly that exposure to radiation should be done with informed consent. Later, the receptionist told me man insurances would not pay for certain procedures without a "panoramic." I asked which procedure those were and she mentioned extractions. However - I was in for a cleaning and check-up. This practice has changed hands in the last few years. We chose this practice when there was another dentist. While Dr. Kaur is very nice, I did not get the impression she felt my concern about informed consent to have this x-ray done was a big deal. That's unfortunate. Both dental and medical professionals need to make sure that clients are well informed of the procedures, any side effects that might occur, or any dangers. With all x-rays, a patient is covered with a lead vest and the technician leaves the room to start the x-ray. That's pretty clear that there are some harmful effects to radiation, and I felt Dr. Kaur minimized my concern. There is a quick fix to this. Ask the company that built the machine or who sells the machine to provide the practice with an information brochure that can be shared with patients. I'm pretty sure a company selling, or renting such a massive machine can provide that.

The front desk staff were so friendly, welcoming, and made the check-in process super easy. The dental team was professional, gentle, and took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand. I felt comfortable, cared for, and truly valued as a patient. I’ve had many dentist over my 70+ years (Unfortunately I’ve had bad teeth most of my life;) and I would have to say that with most dentists I’ve had, they’ve sought to sell me more procedure. I have excellent insurance and they want to make money. I’ve not once experienced this type of sales pressure at Summer Hill. This has been the most ethical dental office I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Very nicely received and treated. Asked and got what I was looking for. Now it's just a matter of what I choose to do going forward. One negative was that when I was quoted what the cost factor was going to be I assumed, and was not told otherwise, that the, $1680.00 dollars I paid up front was for all work to be done. When I returned for the follow up and completion I was advised their was an additional cost! Did not sit well with me at all but I, of course, paid the additional amount! I would suggest that going forward ALL charges to be paid by a patient be brought up prior to work being done and not piece meal as this was done.

We fully trust them for our dental needs and highly recommend. 10•18•24 Update: Today my Mom went in and had several procedures done. One of which was a root canal, we were both extremely relieved that this was pain free. I cannot praise this practice enough! They are gentle, caring, knowledgeable, professional and very, very patient. Upon arrival today, we were greeted by one of the staff holding the door open for us! We were so impressed with the show of respect and courtesy. Every single person here is outstanding. Also, when I was researching dentists, it was for my Mom. On her first appointment, my husband went with my Mom and I. Our first impression was so good that he signed up with them as well. They were even able to see him that day. I just adore every person at SummerHills Dental Care.

Fantastic experience: I had an extremely wonderful experience at SummerHills dental. The team was super friendly and on top of that they were accommodating. I had initially gone in because I had a dental emergency. Through my first great experience, I later went in for a routine exam and then had some fillings done. All throughout the staff were outstanding and I felt very heard. My previous dentist had neglected some of my previous concerns, and it was such a relief having an outstanding Dentist look through my teeth during the exam and identify areas of concerns (teeth that had been bothering me before). This is what I mean when I say that I felt very heard because the Dentist went in and immediately identified areas that could developed into major carries in the future. Throughout the filling procedure, the dentist was super kind and kept checking in on me throughout to ensure I was comfortable. (I didn't feel a thing at all)! All in all, this dental team is outstanding and you will have a great experience. The price was very reasonable also! I also wanted to give a big shoutout to the receptionist: Ray for being such a "ray" of sunshine, and the dental assistants for being super accommodating. Dentistry is something that I do not have much knowledge about, but something that sparked my curiosity.. Due to my inquisitive nature, I asked so many questions and the dental assistants, receptionist and the dentist were so open to answering the questions. *random, but when you are sitting down getting work done on your teeth, you tend to notice on the conversations in the background. You can tell that it is such a positive work environment. Everyone seems to care about each others success and it just felt like such a homey work environment. Was about to drop by job application (but alas, I have no dental experience)- LOL Thank you so much to the team!

I came back to see Dr Kaur because I need two root canals everything when really smooth the Dr and Dental Assistant were very nice and friendly, I was numb and I did not feel any pain, thank you for taking care my dental problems, you both are doing a great job. I came again to see Dr Kaur today they are going to put my 2 crowns everything when smooth and my crowns they are very nice and they are fitting in to perfect, all the Staff and the Dr. Are very nice, friendly and professional. I am very pleased with the dental work was done on me and I highly recommend Dr Kaur for any dental issue you may have.

Negative experience: I am beyond frustrated with this dental group! Billing department refuses to call my dental insurance department to request a peer to peer call to discuss why they denied the claim twice. The woman there has always been difficult to deal with. She advised me when I called her to notify her that she had another step they could do to get this processed she said she wasn't going to put anymore effort in this and decided to send me to collections anyways.

I can’t wait to get my new dentures because they should be awesome!!!and hopefully a pleasure to wear!!!!! ***August 30, 2024 Well, it’s been 4 weeks since I wrote my first review and I’m back to praise the results!!!! I had my teeth pulled in 2011 because the were horribly bad and making me sick!! I got a set of dentures, however they never fit very well and no matter how much adhesive I used,they just wouldn’t stay in,especially the bottoms so I quickly just gave up!! So I went for OVER 10 years w/o any teeth!!! Finally I was fed up and went to SummerHills Dental and today I walked out w/teeth for the first time in years!!!!! They look amazing and while it is a little uncomfortable, I for the first time in YEARS ate w/teeth!!! I had t told my kids I was getting them today and they were amazed!!!!! My youngest grandson had NEVER seen me w/teeth was floored!!!! THANK YOU SUMMERHILLS FOR A BEAUTIFUL SMILE AGAIN AND FOR GETTING MY SELF CONFIDENCE BACK!!!! THANK YOU!!! Fantastic experience: I was referred here by a colleague about a year ago. The location was close to work so of course I had to give them a try and I'm SO GLAD I did. The staffs here are all so friendly and seems happy to be there. It's easy to get appointments. I like that they each are all very thorough with explaining things. I have always dreaded in the past going to dentist and I've had very bad experiences in the past coming from two other dentist offices. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone and as a matter of fact, I have been.

I asked a lot of questions and then asked some more and I didn't feel like I was asking too much. The two dentists I have seen there are also SO kind and communicate clearly, they are super patient. I have never felt like back burner or bad communication. I am really happy with my care here. 3 visits so far. Super happy.

Fantastic experience: First visit to get my teeth cleaned. An independent dental practice rather than the insurance mill I’ve had in the past. This wasn’t like that. Excellent dental hygienist. Nice, knowledgeable and sensitive to my comfort. Good checkup. No work needed at this time though. The Dr was great as well. I think I’ve found my new dentist. And they’re located right in my neighborhood. My first impression was a very good one. I’d give them a 10

Positive experience: Had a root canal and temporary crown, pretty much painless except for the numbing shot which I hate needles in the first place, other than that all went smoothly and very friendly staff. I would give 5 stars if they would update the numbing process to the machine with a small needle which pumps it in instead of the Frankenstein syringe lol.

Negative experience: Went in on Thursday had a temporary crown put on. Today is Saturday and the temp crown has broken. Now I haven't eaten ANYTHING except soft foods. Can't get a hold of the dentist since it's Saturday. Guess I'll just have to have liquid until they Hopefully can fix this. Not even 2 days and it broke.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient and went to my first evaluation today. I was pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome from all the staff and the Owner/Dentist / Ms Kauar. They were respectful and knowledgeable. I liked the office it was very open, modern and clean. I felt no pressure to buy, upgrade, or purchase any care. They openly gave me options and offered care at a fair price. I came in the office with a tooth ache feeling desperate and not knowing what to expect. Fantastic experience: Absolutely enjoyed my visit yesterday to Summer Hills Dental. The staff is very friendly and approachable. My first visit to this Dental Office was super easy. Generally anytime you go to a Dentist, they hand you a stack of paperwork and you have at it. The receptionist handed me a tablet instead and after some short typing, I was finished and off to my cleaning. I was so cool I had to wear shades. That's 80's style, Kyle. Neon Green too. The Hygenist did a wonderful job of going over my history and taking X-rays, as well as the actual cleaning. Everything was performed in a timely, efficient and friendly manner. If this one visit is a foreshadowing of future visits; 10/10 and I would definitely recommend. Ask for the Neon Green shades.

Fantastic experience: Quick check in with reception. Cleaning my teeth was often paused to make sure fluids were removed from my mouth to prevent choking. Staff was friendly and courteous. Appreciated getting a print out of what services were performed and their cost to me versus insurance coverage.

Fantastic experience: When they called me at 11:10 to ask if I was coming to my 11:00 appointment (which I had mistakenly thought was 1:00), they made an exception for me. I dashed to the appointment and they not only were accommodating, but also gave me a thorough cleaning. Great staff there!

Fantastic experience: I loved my first time at SummerHills Dental Care. Imin was the best and I told her it was her calmness which was the factor of making my cleaning so very relaxing. I must have her for every cleaning. Cheyenne, was so pleasant and kind to me from start to finish in the office. It was a highlight to speak to her again on the phone to make my next appointments. Dr. Kaur was great and took time to explain without pressuring me what I would need going forward and also including a referral to another office for additional specialty work. I hope to be a patient here for many more years to come.
