Fantastic experience: I followed Doctor Yai to Doctor Ackerman's office. I had previously seen him in Rio Linda. I am happy to have followed. He has done a fantastic job each time I have seen him. He listens, and tailors treatment with my wishes in mind. He is very professional with a pleasant low key personality. I highly recommend Doctor Yai. The office staff was also very friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: Every time I go to Dr. Ackermans office it is always a great experience. I just had another appointment and I am amazed at how wonderful the entire staff is. From the front desk to the dental hygienist (Stacey is absolutely amazing and the best I’ve ever had for hygienist) and Dr. Ackerman - they all are so fabulous. He is honest and so gentle and trustworthy as well as knowledgeable, So patient and understanding and professional. I am so glad to be going to this office and to of found them.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new dentist because our family dentist sadly retired. I found this practice through Delta Dental and I am happy I did. The staff is wonderful! The dentist was very thorough and his assistant was fantastic! My husband and I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Going to Dr Ackerman’s office for a dental check up is like visiting a few friends for an hour. The staff is always so welcoming & friendly. Besides being friendly they are always improving their skills. Now some of the assistants have Expanded Functions to more efficiently help the Drs. Of course Dr Ackerman is his usual congenial self while being professional at the same time. It’s a No Stress dental visit.

Fantastic experience: The appointment was completed in a timely manner. The Dental Hygienist was efficient as well as professional. Dr. Ackerman introduced himself as soon as I was taken to a room and informed me how the rest of my visit would go. He came in after the X-rays were taken and did an additional exam and let me know about the condition of my teeth, which sounded good and I was done.✅

Fantastic experience: Everyone is so friendly and Dr. Ackerman and Svetslana are the best! In fact...they all are... From Olivia, to Val at the front and Dr. Yai and his staff in the back, they are knowledgeable, personal and empathetic. I love hanging with them, just sad it's for dental reasons!

Negative experience: I would avoid this place, they operate under friendly efficient guise but 3 major issues, any inordinate requests such as can I speak to dentist they say will call you never does, they ensure to collect every last dollar up front regardless how long been a patient of if made thousands of you, is deplorable and disgusting the level of greed here. Their assessments and advice have been correct. After moving dentist new one advised me on exactly condition of teeth and long term remediation down to floss type, rinse type in detail.

Fantastic experience: He is an intelligent and calming man. His high tech system and the incredible women who work with him as a team that makes everything run smoothly. All in all a very good professional team working in unison.

Fantastic experience: Doc A is far and away the BEST dentist one can ever have! He provides excellent and compassionate care, gives thorough explanations before and during procedures, and has a disarmingly great sense of humor. Most importantly, when necessary he’s an expert at knowing how to give completely painless novocaine injections! I mean, how awful is it to have a needle in your mouth, right? Trust me, no need to fret with him as your dentist. The hygienists, assistants and office staff here are top-notch as well. Everyone is competent, cheerful and friendly making visits here quite pleasant. As of this writing I have yet to meet his colleague Dr. Yai but word has it he’s terrific too. I expect Dr. Ackerman wouldn’t bring a dentist into his practice that wasn’t of the same caliber as himself. In closing, I think so highly of Doc and his team that I make a 30 minute drive there for my appointments. If that doesn’t tell you the confidence I have in them then there’s nothing else I can say to convince you!

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a dentist, I would highly recommend Dr. Ackerman. Dr. Ackerman and his staff, Olivia, Val and Svetlana were all wonderful. They all assured me I would be well taken care of, and I was. Dr. Ackerman sat down with me to go over my dental and medical history. He was easy to talk to and showed interest in me. I felt very much at ease. Even though no procedures were done, he still spent a good hour with me, just to get to know me. I couldn’t be happier with the treatment I received. The whole experience was awesome.

Fantastic experience: FIRST OFF, I MUST SAY I'M A WIMP WHEN IT COMESVTO GOING TO A DENTIST. I RARELY WRITE REVIEWES THAT MIGHT BE PUBLISHED ONLInE. However, I must make an exception for Dr Ackerman. I came to him with almost all of my front lower teeth missing and broken. My upper teeth weren't in such bad shape but still needed work. He made a plan, always with my input. I was to have oral surgery to have all of my lower teeth removed, and some roots cut out where several teeth broke below the gum line. The oral s surgeon also put in two bone graphs which later I hope and pray will secure implants. Those implants will help secure the lower dentures in place. The plans (he made two) included not only what he would do, but what my insurance would pay, as well as my out-of-pocket expenses would be. After surgery, the oral durgeon is supposed to leave the denture (and partial) in place to help act as a bandaid to help stem the bleeding and hold the swelling down a bit. My oral surgeon did not leave the dentures and partial in place after the surgery, yet the report she sent to Ackerman indicated she had. Not sure of the confusion. My lower jaw felt like it was on fire later in the day of the surgery and during the night. So I didn't know what to expect when I was Dr Ackerman this morning. I'm terrified of going to the dentist. The pain was and is intense.this morning, and I was so apprehensive about what he was going to do, and how much more the pain would increase, etc. BUT Dr Ackerman was calming. He was very professional yet SO gentle. He explained what he was doing every step of the way. He made me feel like my questions weren't silly. He let me practice putting in and taking them ot. (Something small, but important to me) His staff are all the same. They make you feel at ease, and you're the most important one there. I will go back on Friday and next week, if needed "until we get it just right". I must say, I almost started to cry when I couldn't pronounce certain letters without a lisp. (Like 's', 'x' 't' and 'th' among others). Dr Ackerman reassured me this was normal because we were taking my bite and how it had declined over these many years and making it new (or how it used to be.) I had to get my 'muscle memory' back. And one of the best ways to do that would be to read to myself out loud. When I get stuck on a particular word or sound, say it over until new muscle memories take over. I'VE PROBLBLY GONE INTO WAY TOO MUCH DETAIL. BUT PLEASE KNOW, YOU COULDN'T BE IN BETTER HANDS THAN DR. ACKERMAN.OR HIS STAFF. EACH ONE REALLY LETS YOU KNOW, AS A PERSON, NOT JUST A PATIENT, HOW VERY IMPORTANT YOU ARE. THEY TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT!! THEY VALUE YOU. IF THERE WERE TEN STARS, I'D GIVE THEM TEN. .

Negative experience: Zero stars wasn't an option -Patient of nearly 30 years, I couldn't make it to an appt because I needed a driver. My driver couldn't take me and I called to reschedule. 75.00 charge. So if I would have been in a car accident on the way and not been able to make it? still would be charged?... I knew Dr A for a very long time. If that's how he treats those that helped him continue to build his practice treats someone after so very many years. It's not about caring or a family practice anymore it's about money and not caring for people.
