Then when it came time for a crown, they were able to schedule me quickly and Dr. Lo did a great job finishing the procedure.

Negative experience: Worst Experience, Deficient personal. After confirming my appointment, by text and phone call, as showing in the picture the text message. I stopped working to go to an appointment and when I get at the office, the appointment was canceled because not confirmation. Lack of personal, deficient. And unfortunately the personal is a reflection of the boss, I just don't even want to see that Dental provider. I really hope that Dental Provider can see this review.

Fantastic experience: This office used to be professional and impressive, but my experience over the last 3 or 4 years with them has been horrible, a once healthy tooth reduced to thousands of dollars spent and cannot even get a permanent crown for an implant in before a planned vacation a month away without paying more. I would not recommend them to anyone, and as soon as this current nightmare is over, I will be searching for a new Dental service.

Positive experience: This was my first visit. The dental assistant took a lot of X-rays which I found rather uncomfortable because of the holder they use. She was caring and did her best. I met Dr. Lo who impressed me as straight forward. He listened and answered all of my questions. Unfortunately, I now have to go to an endodontist for another procedure. I was surprised that they could not do it there. Second visit: I met the hygienist and she was excellent. Saw Dr. Lo again and, again, he was extremely kind and informative. I am adding a star to my review. Third Visit on 8/20/25 I took off two stars. First of all, they have been spamming me to death with requests for a review. I have deleted at least 7 requests since I was last there 3 days ago. Abusive. Odd thing is, I did leave a review but where? I don’t remember. The dentist is 5-stars all the way.

Positive experience: Their entire staff is excellent, and that's why I continue to use their services but It is unacceptable that patients are forced to buy complementary plans due to inflated prices.The big problem these days is that no dentist office is accepting dental insurance.

Fantastic experience: Last month I was a new patient after not seeing a dentist for a couple of years. The office staff was very friendly and efficient with the check in process. First visit got some x-rays done and did a game plan. Ended up having to come back for 3 more visits between getting my cleaning and some fillings. Overall the staff is wonderful and I love how they break down what everything will cost. Dr Lo is great as well he is kind, understanding and explains everything very well.

Negative experience: Gentle Dental is truly a “PAIN”. If I could give a zero rating I would. Please avoid this place at all cost. I was given the insurance coverage cost and the out of pocket cost for a procedure, for which I paid at the time of the appointment. A few weeks after the procedure, I was notified that I had an outstanding balance. When I questioned the bill, the person I spoke to became rude and argumentative, so I ended the call. I called a few days later and spoke to the same person who was rude AGAIN. All I wanted was a clear understanding of why I was given one quote and then AFTER my original payment from insurance and myself, that there was still an outstanding balance. My insurance confirmed to me that they were paid the amount they billed. I feel like this was a “bait and switch” tactic that was never justified. I have no issues with the hygienist or the dentists, but the customer service from the receptionist was not only unprofessional but demeaning. As a customer who can get a cleaning or dental work almost anywhere, I refuse to be treated that way. It’s more about the principle and less about the money. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Negative experience: I was sent an appointment. When I got there I sat for 25 minutes then was given an 8 page form to fill out while they checked my insurance. Was led to room only to be told they don't except my insurance anymore so I wasted my morning now I have to find a new dentist. The dentist I was seeing there was great I'm going to miss him.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental implant done. I love this office. Dr Lo took the time to explain everything thoroughly. He put me completely at ease, was compassionate, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, was as gentle as possible with the tooth extraction and made the process very patient friendly. Emily, his assistant, was kind, also reassuring and put me at ease, friendly and knowledgeable. Jen, the office manager, was wonderful explaining and checking my insurance coverage. Alexa, the dental hygienist, performed a dental cleaning.She was very friendly, gentle and educated me on my teeth. Everyone in this office in Allentown, is friendly and truly cares about their patients experience! I cannot say enough good things about my experiences here. I have already recommended this office to others.

Fantastic experience: I was impressed with the dental care I received from Gentle Dental in two specific ways. First of all the service was prompt and there was practically zero wait time. Secondly, the teeth cleaning I received was thorough and done professionally. The technician even gave me some instructions on flossing in order to better keep my teeth and gums healthy. My first experience with Gentle Dental was positive and greatly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I had some sensitivity in a tooth for a couple weeks, but then it went away. I found the doctor to be very thorough in his examination of me and looking at my x-rays to determine that he didn’t really see a problem and that he would just keep an eye on it. I like the fact that he was not aggressive and moving into doing fillings or caps or root canals. I would highly recommend him.

Positive experience: Always thorough and gentle! That's why I keep going back. But the discount plan they offer could be a little better. $267 for a filling. I got 2. Plus they were going to rip me off a second cleaning but told them that wasn't fair. I got in sooner because of a cancellation. The woman did have a tone in her voice, I just ignored. Staff doc good.

Negative experience: I scheduled an appt today to get my teeth cleaned which by the way I had to wait 2 months for. Just for them to check my teeth and got scheduled in December to get my teeth cleaned. A patient walked in trying to figure out where check in station was, when she finally did she knocked on the door trying to be polite and she was greeted with “You don’t have to knock on door it really annoys me when people do that” Clearly she hates her job you can also tell by her fake customer service voice. The dentist office looks very run down and needs a big upgrade. Safe to say I am not returning. They just steal money from your insurance and send you on your way home. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else

Negative experience: I schedule an appointment months ago for a cleaning. This was my first visit to your establishment. I advised them months ago I just had X-rays which were sent over months ago. They insisted I get new ones since I got new insurance. Then I find out they aren’t cleaning my teeth today. I took time off of work and now can’t be seen until after Dec 17th. Total waste of my time. They never told me this when I schedule my cleaning appointment. Not a good experience for my first visit.

This was my 1st visit and I was relieved it went so well for my molar extraction! Very proficient with “Statement of Services” , Treatment Plan, and Post Extraction Instructions “! Haley, his assistant was also fabulous and made me feel relaxed. Even the receptionist was very nice. Overall….5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Definitely will be my NEW dentist

Negative experience: Attempted to over charge without using, or correctly, using my insurance! Gental Dental said insurance virtually paid NOTHING (nothing for deep cheaning and only 100 usd for crown, (after contacting insurance co), when it turns out insurance pays, 40, 60 plus percentage. And in many cases insurance pays 100 percent. But at this scam office, they said insurance virtually (literally) pays nothing! My advise is to stay away from these ppl. Also baby dentist said does not know how to do fillings as it will change bite! LoL how did they do it at my other (retired) dentist??? Scam artists at Gental Dental with dentist of no skill.

Negative experience: Scam! They tried to write up a future bill where the insurance company does not cover anything! Liers! Why doesn't my insurance cover what was covered at prior dental office? Only reason I did not get same work done elsewhere is because dentist suddenly retired. Could they be double dipping? Ripping me off is unquestionable. Well they need the money for being sued trying to represent themselves as Doctors lol.

Positive experience: Did not give me a cleaning even though I requested one. Just had the doctor look over my teeth. Wasn't going to complain, but I've now received multiple texts and emails asking to review the ONE appointment I had. So here it is.

I didn't experience not even a little pain and she did a VERY thorough job! Thanks to her greatly! The paperwork I had to fill out was a bit ridiculous though. Positive experience: As a patient, who had a traumatic experience with a former dentist, I highly recommend Gentle Dentle for their understanding "bedside" manner & customer service. Both the dentist & dental hygienists assigned to me were understanding, kind, & caring. Also, the office staff provided A+ customer service. However, being fully charged for a service, that they then submitted to my insurance company (that the insurance company covered almost half), but NOT being refunded for (they credited my account, which I may never actually use because INSURANCE), SUCKS! Never been to a dentist that doesn't submit first & then bill. Also, if I hadn't called after receiving the statement from my insurance company, I don't know that they would have credited my account.

Negative experience: Called ahead of time asking for minimally a cleaning. Was scheduled for the appointment. The woman who scheduled was rude over the phone I should have took that as the first red flag. Get to the appointment. After they run my insurance I’m told they have no cleanings available for about 8 months. Makes no logical sense. Shady business and bad service.

Fantastic experience: I was promptly greeted upon arrival by a receptionist. My hygienist took me back within 5 minutes to start my cleaning. Her name is Alexa. She was very pleasant and friendly. She cleaned my teeth thoroughly and was professional. I enjoyed her conversation with me.

Fantastic experience: I was having toothache pain for over a week, but Tuesday night was when I really felt it get more severe so I mustered the courage to call and get an appointment. They got me in same day. Everyone I encountered was very sweet. Check in was so simple and I got called in on time. Dr. Meskin and his assistant were amazing. You could tell they really care about their patients. I had an infected wisdom tooth and they were able to extract it at the office. I was terrified but they helped my anxiety and made sure I was okay throughout the whole process. Only a few short minutes later and my tooth was out. I felt no pain from start to finish. I am now almost 24 hours post extraction, and I can't begin to express how much relief and how happy I feel. Thank you to the whole staff!

Negative experience: Awful the the lady at the front desk failed to tell me I needed money for my X-rays told me she didn’t find out my information but I gave them all my information over the phone she was nasty and gave me an attitude idk if she was having a bad day or hates her job but easily could of been avoided if she just told me on the phone that I would possibly need money for an X-ray would have been the more professional way to take care of that but yeah didn’t get appointment and now will be going somewhere else because of her yall need to do better Gentle Dental!!!!

Fantastic experience: Very nice and respectful staff, very clean office, made me feel comfortable and included me in my treatment plan. The doctor was straightforward and to the point and did not sugarcoat anything; many people don’t like that but I appreciated his honesty because I felt like I was finally being told the truth. Joanne is AMAZING. She was gentle and very informative, I loved the fact that she showed me what needed to be worked on by my X-ray before the doctor came in. Looking forward to working with office in the future and making it my permanent dental office.

Negative experience: I confirmed my appointment the morning of yet they cancelled my daughter’s appointment 1 hour before the appointment time. I would not recommend this place.

Negative experience: My recent experience with this dental office was incredibly frustrating and felt very much like a bait and switch. My initial consultation went smoothly, though it was inconveniently difficult to schedule a family appointment for both adults. The real issue arose on the day of the scheduled appointment. I received an urgent call stating that, upon reviewing my X-rays, the dentist and hygienist had identified numerous issues. The estimated out-of-pocket cost was nearly $700, with many of the suggested treatments not covered by my dental plan. What's most concerning is that the original dentist I saw during the consultation did not express any of these significant concerns. This drastic difference between the initial assessment and the last-minute, costly recommendations is deeply misleading and felt like an attempt to upsell services. This office's approach to patient care and transparency is seriously lacking.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a dentist and came across gental dental and let me tell uou they did not disappoint walk me through all the steps as she was doing the deep cleaning and i really liked that any wuestions i had they answered will definitely be my main dentist glad i finally found a place i am happy with!

Fantastic experience: I had a broken tooth and I called for an appointment for the dentist to check it. I was given an appointment in a couple of hours and was able to get a temporary crown on the broken tooth right away. I've been going to Gentle Dental for years and am always satisfied with my experiences there!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Minetola for many years. He is a thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate dentist and I never have less than excellent care from him and his staff. Although this last appointment was routine, Mark has always been available to attend to any dental emergency or concern. I have recommended his services to many of my friends, family and associates. Update 06/06/2025 I was contacted by the office yesterday that I had to reschedule appt with Dr. Lo to get a crown. However, the staff and Dr. Lo made the necessary accommodations to get me into the office the same day on his busy last day before his leave. I am very happy to see the same customer service and patient care I have had through the years with Gentle Dental. Eight years ago we moved an hour away from this office but remain patients with Gentle Dental for the above reasons.
