Fantastic experience: Just love DR Hillyard his entire staff and dental hygienist are above par. The only Dentist I have ever heard of that came to see great grandma that was bedridden because her dentures no longer fit correctly and hurt her so much she stopped eating solids. Not that this is something he offers just an act of kindness on his personal time/ day off. She cried when she realized how kind and gentle he treated her. I have ptsd from getting my teeth knocked out in a bicycle accident since childhood. Instead of giving me the 3rd degree for not getting there as recommended they all have been nothing but kind and caring. Over 18years, out of my insurance network , so not 100% paid by insurance but I wouldn’t go to anyone else and they work with me. If you have fear of getting dental work, I highly recommend this office .

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit to Dr. Hilyard’s office. I was seen promptly and Danielle did a great job as hygenist, cleaning my teeth thoroughly, and answering any questions I had. I then met with Dr. Hilyard who did a thorough examination of my teeth, took some pictures (not x-rays) and then went over the photos with me. He explained areas where my teeth have some minor changes and recommended some minor work on two teeth. I was so happy to be back to a practice that took time with my cleaning and dental exam. I researched dentists in the Media area after going to a dentist in Swarthmore where my cleanings lasted 15 minutes, tops, and the dentist spent 15 seconds (no exaggeration) doing an examination of my teeth. My sister-in-law Penelope Reed who lives locally was quick to recommend Dr Hillyard, her local family dentist. The office staff got me in immediately. The free standing office building was easy to find. There was plenty of parking and they were quick to help. Penelope said Dr Hillyard's daughter was excellent at dental implants and would recommend them to anyone. I agree. The technology was cutting edge. The staff followed up and kept in constant contact with me. The dentist, Dr Hillyard, was happy, friendly and could not have been better. Fantastic experience: Best practice I have come across in my 60 years of needing dental work. Painful cleaning today. I come every 6 months, but today the flossing part tore me up pretty bad. I’m not having great start to the holiday weekend. I called to ask what I can do, but it’s 230 and the office is closed for the holiday. I’m amending my review to reflect the fact that Dr. Hillyard responded to my less than perfect review within an hour of posting. He called to offer the diagnostic advice and the treatment I needed to correct the problem. 12 hours later I am feeling great. Thanks Dr. Hillyard!

I was very nervous, but upon entering the office, which was very clean and calming, I noticed that the rooms were nicely spaced out. The office personnel that assisted was very pleasant. The dental assistants were kind and understanding, and Dr. Hillyard was so kind and compassionate. He took the time to thoroughly examine my entire mouth and make an appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan. I have been too many many dentist over the years and Dr. Hillyard is one of a very few exceptional dentist. He took the time to explain and educate me on all of my dental care, which was so important to the outcome of the treatment plan he has in place for me. Fantastic experience: My entire family has enjoyed the proficient and compassionate dental care provided by Dr. Gregory Hillyard. He is the gold standard of Doctors of Dental Medicine. A change to my dental insurance led to a short term use of dentists from another practice. During a root canal procedure at the alternate dental provider I had a concern with the quality of that dental procedure. The dentist finished the root canal faster and with less final diagnostic review than had been my previous experience. When he declared I was done and ready for a crown he suggested another dentist in his practice. He directed the last step, a dental crown to one of his associates in the large dental practice that accepted my dental insurance. Rather than using them for the crown I decided it would be better to pay out of pocket despite getting the crown for no out of pocket cost under my health insurance plan. Instead I decided to use the dentist, Dr. Hillyard, that had performed flawlessly with previous crowns and dental procedures. During the diagnostic work to confirm the tooth was ready for the crown Dr. Hillyard confirmed the root canal was not properly completed and communicated his observations with the dentist who performed the root canal. The dentist did not disagree or question Dr. Hillyard's observations. He completed the root canal which meant removing the material that should have been removed during the previously performed procedure to ensure I wouldn't have to endure a second root canal. Dr. Hillyard completed the restoration with a crown and I haven't had any problem with the tooth. Despite the option of no cost or low cost dental care from others I determined I am only using Dr. Hillyard for my dental needs and am a happy patient with over twenty-five years of quality care from his practice. My wife and children completely agree with my opinion and have the same experience with Dr.Hillyard's superior dental care.
