Gentle Dental of Haverford

Negative experience: I will not remove my review. Dr. Nached is not a good dentist. I got my teeth cleaned. I had a cavity and Dr. Nached filled it. I had another two cavities that the dentist did not do anything about. He did not check my teeth and find the other two cavities. Gentle Dental still has an appointment for me next month in September. I am not going back to them. I am with my old dentist who knows what he is doing. Gentle Dental will not examine my mouth again.

Fantastic experience: I had a 11:20 AM cleaning and was in the chair exactly on time. The entire visit was efficient without ever feeling rushed. Jenny, the hygienist, is incredibly thorough and sweet. Dr. Nached is knowledgeable. Five stars!

Because of this I will continue to use Gental Dental. I also give Kudos to the young lady who cleaned my families teeth. I believe her name was Danisha! She was awesome!

I accidentally showed up over an hour late because I mixed up my appointment time, and they were still incredibly kind and worked me into the schedule despite my mistake. Everyone in the office was welcoming and professional. The doctor and assistant took the time to explain everything clearly, and helped me come up with a treatment plan without making me feel judged. Scheduling was easy, communication was great, and the entire visit was efficient from start to finish. This was genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve had at a dental office, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and professional team

Fantastic experience: I arrived on time and was called back in three minutes. The hygienist did a thorough exam, cleaned and polished my teeth. She was professional and gentle and explained everything. The Dentist came in and did a once over and I was good to go. Was back home in an hour and 10 minutes.

Fantastic experience: This place has the kindest, most amazing dental hygienist. She makes the unpleasant cleaning process no so bad. And if she needs to deliver “you should do better” news, she does so in a kind and non-judgmental way. Update: I just went back for my next appointment and had the same amazing hygienist. She is every-time-awesome. Truly "gentle" dental care from this woman! Second update: same hygienist again for my next appointment, and she was still terrific. Who knew a cleaning could be an actual calming experience? My appointment started late, which is the only negative I can say, but the hygienist was so efficient, it didn't matter--I was in and out pretty rapidly.

Negative experience: stopped going here a couple years ago after they said i had 3 cavities after just “fixing” my other cavities. I realized this was a suspicious amount of cavities to be diagnosed with so I went to a new dentist for a second opinion. the new dentist told me i didn’t have any cavities. it’s been years and still no cavities, i’m so grateful i got a second opinion and didn’t end up getting more dental work that wasn’t needed. but i still think back on the cavities they filled, and wonder if any of them were even needed. Updating in 2026- saw another dentist last week still no cavities! so that makes seeing 3 different dentists since I left this place. SO glad I didn’t buy what you guys were selling me.

When I had an emergency, the office manager worked until late at night to squeeze me in early the following morning for an appointment. Truly exceptional and thoughtful treatment. Fantastic experience: I have a fear of Going to the Dentist, but this was a wonderful experience. I had my teeth cleaned and a tooth extracted and I walked out there with no pain I’m am amazed. I have not had any discomfort, I told all my friends, gentle dental is the place to go, they are gentle.

We both left completely astounded that we could get our teeth worked on without feeling pain. I'm not kidding you when I tell you I started out tearing up I was so worried to almost falling asleep in the chair. I'm very grateful. 5 stars for Dr. Nached!

Positive experience: I was a patient 3 years ago…and since my new dentist asked me to provide a review, it makes me remembering about this place so i review now. The dentist was great, he did my crown perfectly but the management was horrible. My schedule was the first one in the morning and they made me wait for over 1 hour. I noticed there were other patients waiting as well and some patients came after me, but got in before. My appointment was the regular check up and cleaning. When i was with the hygiene tech, i asked her why i had to wait since my appointment was the fist one, she said it was 2-3 patients were scheduled at the same time and with her. She didn’t know why it was done that way, it was how they did it here. So even other patients were scheduled the same time with me but they came in after me, they decided to take them first, besides the fact they triple booking? The manager of the office had an unpleasant face, very rude when i addressed my concern on the waiting time as well as i questioned and my bill. I think the dentist/owner should fine her as the dentists were great but let it operated under a poor management

Negative experience: I made an appointment for a cleaning since they were in my insurance’s network. The day before my appointment, they said they would t do a cleaning without first having an exam and X-rays. Felt like a scam.

Positive experience: The dental hygienist was wonderful- knowledgeable, kind, and explained everything she did as she went. A weird scheduling thing, though- I have confirmation that I originally scheduled my appointment for 2:20, but over the next few weeks got confirmation emails that said 2:10, and then a few weeks later, 2:00. I had time to get there at 2:00, but it was weird that it kept changing.

Negative experience: I had a 1 PM appointment. I got there at 12:50 PM. I was asked to immediately pay a Bill, I knew nothing about. They said it was a copayment. My payment is $50. I paid $300. then they took several people before me finally at 1:25. I told the receptionist that I had to go and where was the dentist she told me they were cleaning the room up. I said they had the lunch hour to clean up the room that’s why I made the appointment for 1 PM. They double booked is what happened then she finally said that my appointment was considered an emergency appointment. I made it a month ago that to me definitely tells me they double booked. No one knew what was going on. It was a horrible experience. I suggest you contact orthodontist rather than to go here.

Positive experience: Although the administration of patient files and data could use some improvement, the professionalism of the Haverford dental hygienist more than makes up for the hassles. This woman was a dream combination of excellent dental care and great "chairside" manner. Humorous and engaging while quick and painless at the job!

Negative experience: This place does not have a working phone number. I tried to call multiple times on multiple days and got sent directly to voicemail that had a full mailbox so I couldn’t leave a message. No problem I’ll make a new patient appointment online I thought. I did that for a few days in advance. My only option was to pick a “cleaning plus x rays” so I booked that and put in the notes I was having an issue with a permanent retainer and would like the doctor to look at that if possible and do a follow up cleaning. I got multiple emails and texts days prior to my appointment to confirm the appointment. Still couldn’t get anyone on the phone so I confirmed via text. I then got a text this morning (the day before the appointment) saying the doctor can see me for the retainer. I responded immediately saying I actually would prefer the cleaning instead due to the retainer issue being solved. I’m then told (still via text no phone calls) that they don’t have openings for cleanings until September. It’s currently July 17th. I said my initial appointment was for cleaning and x rays so I wasn’t sure how that was possible. The person via text said it was a problem with the “booking websites” but they can’t get me in until September. I told them I booked the appointment on THEIR website so I wasn’t sure how that was possible but that they can just cancel me moving forward. My question is what would they have done when I arrived for my cleaning/xray appointment tomorrow that I confirmed multiple times? Turn me away because “their booking website doesn’t work” but also their phone number doesn’t work? Insane I cancelled and won’t be going there but warning others not to book online and definitely don’t fill out all the new patient paper work like I did otherwise you will just waste an hour of your time. So unprofessional - get a working booking software and a working phone number it’s not that hard.

Fantastic experience: I was trying to find an emergency appointment. My dentist didn't do them and the dentist near my house. My best friend said to call Gentle Dental. I called first thing in the morning and left a message. Within 5mins I received a text asking can I come in at 11. I went and can I say this is the first time I felt comfortable in a dentist office. It's clean, bright and wonderful staff. Hopefully they will be my new dentist.

I spoke to Tara and without her checking, she stated there was not a later time available. How would she know without looking at the schedule?

Positive experience: I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment and 40 mins after my appointment time and was still waiting up front to be seen. Someone came in after me and was taken back before myself. With no one updating me that they will be with me. You come here prepare to wait. Poor staffing.

Negative experience: The hygenist was wonderful, and I’m sorry I had to stop patronizing this place because I truly loved her. But the practice as a whole will scam you with all sorts of upselling of worthless treatments, try to trick you into getting cleanings your insurance won’t pay for, and then send you bills with no explanation. When I asked for an itemized invoice, they sent my bill to a collection agency, and then when I sent them a check they refused to cash it and now it is affecting my credit score. They refuse to respond to my inquiries, and overall I would not recommend them at all. Even though the hygenist is lovely. Re: the owners response below: I have contacted the office directly multiple times, including several emails and a note I sent in the mail with my check. This has been going on literally for months and I’ve never seen a response nor have they cashed my check. They now have my money and it’s still affecting my credit score. All I ever wanted was an itemized explanation of what the bill was for. I’m not in the habit of paying people just because they send me a random bill. I’ve been scammed like this before by medical offices.

Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist and dentist accomodated a hiccup in my schedule on the fly. The work was professionally and efficiently completed. I am more than pleased.

Negative experience: This was my initial visit here. My appointment was 8am. I was in the chair by 8:13am. When the doctor came to greet me he had a mask on already so I really have no idea what he looks like. He spoke broken English which was very hard to understand. He asked what problem I was having. Without even examining my mouth. He then suggested that he would deal with the broken tooth, fill it and put on a crown, in order to save it. He called for his assistant to take an X-ray of that one tooth. After she did it, he came back and I asked him why he hadn’t examined my whole mouth because I hadn’t been to the dentist in 3 yrs. and I wanted to know the condition of my teeth. He says well I can, and only then he proceeded to check out the rest of my teeth.He then told what saw and told the assistant to take a full mouth X-ray. He checked them out and then he proceeded to inject me. Never telling what was about to happen or stating what he was going to do or doing. He left the room without a word. I waited. When he returned (maybe 15 minutes later), he just said open and started drilling. Within a few moments I almost jumped out of the chair! He had been gone so long that the Novocaine had worn off! He stops inject me again. And he leaves again! I then realized that he was working on several other patients at one time! Every time he returned he came straight to me without changing his gloves. Which were on the wall at the door. I sat in that chair until 12:50pm before he was done with me. FIVE HOURS! To do ONE tooth! And he barely spoke 10 words to me, the whole time! I was given a temporary crown and had to return the following week to get the permanent one. This too was was painful!. He is Not compassionate NOR reassuring. He works completely alone until he needs that one assistant to come help. And the whole time he doesn’t talk to you or tell you what he’s about to do to you! I will NOT be returning to this dentist, ever again!

Positive experience: I went in for an issue I was having with sensitivity in two of my teeth where my gum had receded. The dentist and hygienist were very kind and filled the area. The pain immediately stopped. My only complaint is that the fillings were quite expensive, even with my insurance.
