Fantastic experience: Amani was very welcoming, kind and super informative. I loved her customer service and attitude. We need more people like her in the healthcare field. Also Emma was very helpful and nice, I high recommend both girls when coming in.

Negative experience: The fact that I have been coming here for years now and the service experience has not improved is a real shame. I have been in my braces going on four years at this point and should of been done end of last year however the same spaces I have kept bringing to their attention still exist. I requested to see Dr. Hodges specifically to fix the issue and both times I was recently suppose to see her, they said she was "unavailable". Each time you come here you usually wait atleast 30 mins to be seen but you better not be late because then they will say they cannot see you. Its rotating doctors so you usually never see the same person each appointment and my questions/concerns have still not been answered. Literally I need a proper plan to close the rest of my spaces so I can be cleared to get implants. You are better off going to a smaller office where you get to see the same orthodontist each appointment who is close to your treatment and concerned. I feel like in this office you are just a dollar amount and they want to get you in and out so they can get to the next person. My portion of my braces were paid off in June of 2025 and because I switched insurance in January 2026 they added another $600 charge to my account because they said I am no longer eligible for the discounted insurance price even tho my braces were paid off 7 months before my insurance ended. I wish I would of listened to my dentist's recommendation on what orthodontist to go to because I am sure the experience would of been much better.

Fantastic experience: Got my braces done and Mylia was phenomenal!!! I loved everything about my experience because she was so detailed , patient and polite ! I didn’t have to worry what was happening cause she was guiding me each step of the way ! I’m excited about this new journey !!!

Positive experience: Dr Hodges is a nice person really professional and honest , she did my consultation and was hoping to have her do my braces based off her experience and expertise, so I signed up and and paying a amount that was quoted to me$$$ NOT cheap let’s just say , just to have another Doctor do my treatment plan, I know she only one person and have multiple locations but if I would have known that I would have think twice.

Negative experience: All the bad reviews are definitely true!! I would not recommend this dentist to anyone came in with less issues then I have now. Communication is horrible. Doctors aren’t trained properly or maybe just overwhelmed with the many different ppl coming in. You really have to speak up for yourself because they will forget your whole treatment plan

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience at this orthodontic office working with Mylia, she was friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable.

Negative experience: Horrible, I would never go back or refer them to anyone. No one comes to talk to you to let you know what they did in the visit with your child but they always come out to talk to you when they want you to pay more money after you’ve already paid the total they quoted you.

Fantastic experience: From my first visit to my most recent appointment, the entire staff has been amazing. The front desk team, X-ray technician, dental assistants, and everyone throughout the office have been welcoming, professional, and attentive. Dr. Kellyn Hodges took a considerable amount of time with me to carefully review my treatment plan and explain what to expect moving forward. I truly appreciated the thoroughness and patience. The process of placing my braces was fast and efficient, and the team made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. I look forward to my next appointment and seeing how my braces progress.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this orthodontic office. When I began my treatment, I was genuinely excited, especially knowing I was supporting a small Black-owned business. However, as my treatment progressed, so did my disappointment, it became clear that the office and patient care were not priorities. There appeared to be a lack of professionalism and proper clinical standards. On two occasion, I observed staff running around for GLOVES, and saying there’s none basic necessity which is very concerning in a healthcare setting. Some technicians also seemed insufficiently trained, which made me uncomfortable during procedures. The office environment felt chaotic. Staff members were openly reprimanded by a Spanish lady, (no she’s not the manager) maybe another staff in front of patients, front staff yelling at each other, technicians arguing and even taunting one another. This created an unprofessional and uncomfortable atmosphere in the back waiting area. It also felt as though the focus was primarily financial. After being charged $6,000 for treatment, I was disappointed by the lack of basic patient accommodations. For example, I was unable to receive something as simple as orthodontic wax for discomfort. Patient care and satisfaction did not seem to be prioritized. I do want to acknowledge the technician in Room 9, who remained calm and professional despite the surrounding chaotic environment. She handled herself with composure and deserves recognition, She was very informative, knowledgeable, friendly, and even apologetic seeing that I was uncomfortable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office. Patients deserve a safe, professional, and patient-centered environment when receiving orthodontic care.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Dr. Kellyn Hodges Orthodontics enough! From day one, the team went above and beyond to make my treatment seamless and stress-free. They prioritized my comfort, kept appointments on time, and the results are better than I imagined. My teeth had the works from overcrowding to extractions and my teeth really looks amazing. My teeth look brand new and looks like an whole different mouth. My new smile has really helped my social anxiety. Dr. Kellyn Hodges is the most pleasant and compassionate person and is very receptive to your dental needs. She listens and takes her time when she is working with you. Dr. Hodges is the maven of teeth. Your best smile is her wish and she is the wizard of orthodontics. With a wave of her wand your teeth is transformed into well-aligned and properly straight teeth and trust me you will be glad you walked into her practice. Negative experience: Go elsewhere for your Invisalign. They were not upfront about the Invisalign process, what it entails, and how long it actually takes. Also, they do not sign up for the warranty for your retainers in case they break, and you only get one final retainer set--whereas other Invisalign providers have the warranty and include multiple retainer sets in their packages. On top of all of this, they continue to bill my insurance incorrectly without any communication to me. I have called several times and left several messages and no one ever reaches out to me, despite being promised that they would. The actual orthodontists are nice, but rarely do you end up seeing them. The assistants seem to be minimally trained as they continued to put my attachments on incorrectly and damage my teeth upon taking them off. More often than not, my appointment consisted of waiting several minutes just for an assistant to throw my next retainers at me and say I'm good to go. It was a waste of time and money and I wish I had gone elsewhere for my Invisalign.

Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Review in Progress)- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Final Review I’ve been a patient at this orthodontic office for about 39 months, and overall, my experience has been positive — but my final visit left me feeling disappointed and confused. First, I want to highlight how wonderful the staff is. Everyone is friendly, and today I was assisted by a trainee who did an amazing job, guided by another kind team member. Both treated me with patience and care, even when they ran into technical issues — the camera battery kept dying, which made the photo process take much longer than expected. I was there for about three hours in total. Throughout most of my treatment, I was seen by Dr. Chris, who is an outstanding orthodontist. He always provided excellent care, explained things clearly, and truly understood my case. I had previously discussed with him that I’m missing two teeth behind my canine and plan to get implants once I can afford them. He told me that my retainers could include temporary (fake) teeth in those spaces until I was ready for the implants. Because of this, I paid off my balance early and was really looking forward to my final appointment. Unfortunately, when I came in today, I was told that Dr. Chris no longer works there, which really surprised me . After more than two hours into my appointment — right after the final pictures — I was shown my retainers and found out they did not include the temporary teeth. When I asked about it, I was told the lab made them that way and that there were no notes from Dr. Chris mentioning the temporary teeth, only a note about my future implant plan. Earlier in the visit, Dr. Kelly — whom I met for the first time — treated me. She was very professional, gentle, and kind, and she did an amazing job filing my teeth before the assistants removed my brackets. After I noticed the issue with my retainers, I requested to speak with Dr. Kelly again. She took the time to explain that adding fake teeth behind the canine could easily cause the retainers to break, so it would be impossible to include them. I respectfully disagreed, since Dr. Chris had already discussed that option with me, and I personally know other patients (including the person who referred me) who received retainers made with temporary teeth. I understand that doctors may have different opinions, but I feel disappointed that my previous treatment plan wasn’t considered or verified before the retainers were finalized. I now have a follow-up consultation scheduled with Dr. Hodges, the owner, in two weeks to review everything. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Final Review Kelly Orthodontics is truly a great place. They have earned their reputation, respect, and loyal clients by providing quality service and care. I returned to the office on Tuesday and met with Dr. Hodges, the owner, to explain my situation regarding my retainers. She took the time to carefully listen and review my case. Initially, she explained that in some cases a temporary tooth behind the canine (K9) cannot be placed because it may cause the retainer to break. She also explained that since Dr. Chris did not leave notes in the system about adding temporary teeth, the team had no way of knowing that this was part of my original discussion or expectation. Even so, Dr. Hodges showed genuine empathy and understanding. I could tell she felt bad that I had left my previous visit feeling disappointed. Without hesitation and at no extra cost, she offered to remake my retainer. She clearly explained the process and reassured me that she would not let me walk away feeling sad or unheard — and she truly meant that. She made it right, and I am very grateful. I will continue to speak highly of Kelly Orthodontics and confidently recommend their services. The level of professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient satisfaction truly sets them apart.

Negative experience: The staff here is quite unprofessional, with the exception of Shakerra, who is truly a standout. If you don’t happen to see her, you may find yourself out of luck. I’ve noticed they openly discuss other staff and patients in front of everyone, which raises concerns about HIPAA laws, but it seems they are indifferent to those issues. Moreover, if you ask questions about your own teeth during your appointment, they often react with frustration, even if you’re just trying to understand the situation. It’s unsettling to feel their disdain, especially when you can sense their irritation through heavy sighs and eye rolls. The only redeeming quality is the owner, a kind and pleasant woman, which is why I still choose to support this place.

Fantastic experience: There are not enough words in the English dictionary to express my love and appreciate for the staff at Dr. kellyn Hodges office. I started my journey 12/15/2015 and my braces come off today 10/4/2018. This amazing staff has changed my life ever, they have provided me with this jaw dropping smile and I am forever grateful. Their professionalism and knowledge in oral care is next to none, they are truly the best in the tri- state area. To Dr. Hodges and the entire staff thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥️.

Negative experience: She is a nice doctor, the office aesthetics are nice, the staff is not professional and a lot of them need more training. The front desk is okay, some are helpful and polite, others not so much. My review is based off being a patient there for over 10 years, getting my braces done 3 times and experiencing the office in a whole as it went from being patient centered to a not. Every interaction I’ve had with the office hasn’t been bad, but this last time I can say I had more negative experiences than positive. Two people I would like to highlight for their assistance are: Angel and Linda. They both were exceptionally helpful my 2nd to last visit there. It is my hopes that the business keeps thriving and revert back to putting the patients first as well as make sure ALL of the staff there is properly trained to do all aspects of their job when it comes to the patient’s treatment.

Positive experience: There are 2 orthodontic technicians that were very helpful to me. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was OK. (Tosh and Daijah). I thank GOD that they were patient as they were. I hope and pray that GOD will continue to bless them throughout their career.

Negative experience: Be prepared to be there all day long! Absolutely ridiculous. I went in for a 10:20 consultation appt and I didn’t leave until 1:00. I was extremely late for work, and disappointed that I spent my entire morning here. This is not ok!

Negative experience: I've always had a great experience here until my appointment today i was a little late for my appointment I called up like they tell you to ans I told them I was late and they said ok come on up I got up there and then girl tells me im late with an attitude i kept my cool because everyone else has always been so pleasant especially the tall light brown skin young lady she's always pleasant.I said I know im late I call and said that I late but was told to come up! For the amount of money I'm paying her customer service could be better after I have refer a couple of people to them 17 minutes late an to be told with an attitude that I have to reschedule and coming from Jersey is crazy.

Fantastic experience: Dr Chris is Amazing I always see him but Linda the tech is amazing as well. The conversations, her spirit, her personality is just top teir. I am so lucky I got her today to do my teeth (8/29/25). She is so sweet and amazing. I love her so much already and I just met her. Linda is truly 1 of 1 an overall an amazing person.

However, I recently paid off my past-due balance in full. Today, it was my first appointment back in about a year or two. I was fortunate enough to be paired with Linda, who was incredibly amazing. I felt a sense of comfort and trust in her care. She explained everything step by step and continued to check on me throughout the appointment. Fantastic experience: Absolutely Outstanding Experience at Kellyn Hodges Orthodontics! The entire team is beyond professional, warm, and incredibly skilled. Negative experience: I had a really disappointing experience at Kellyn Hodges From the start, it felt like their main concern was money, not my care. Every conversation seemed to revolve around payment plans and add-on services rather than what was actually necessary for my treatment. They kept pushing expensive options without fully explaining why they were needed, and I never felt like they had my best interest in mind. It was clear they were more focused on making a sale than building trust or delivering quality care. If you’re looking for an orthodontist who genuinely cares about your health and not just your wallet, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Positive experience: Dr. Hodges orthodontic was a blessing to my life. One of my greatest investments was my teeth. It helped me to be more confident and excel in my career. The only thing I’d say is there was an issue with my retainers. I had my braces off for two weeks, and was scanned twice before receiving them. It was a stressor as my teeth more than likely shifted. Otherwise, all went well!

Negative experience: Steer clear. This practice is like an orthodontic money making factory. It's crowded, hectic, and loud. They treated me like a wallet, not a patient. They got the job done, but I don't feel that anyone actually listened to my individual concerns, and so I was guided to the most expensive decision when in fact my problem could have been solved for much less. I know this because I switched orthodontists, and my new orthodontist is very caring, attentive, and thorough. Hodges charges $75 to send patient records to new orthodontists, which is not typical and is frankly ridiculous. My new orthodontist said they would never charge to send patient records as long as the patient didn't have any outstanding payments due. All this to say, find someone else.

Fantastic experience: the amazing experience I’ve had at Dr. Kellyn Hodges’ office. The office is efficient when it comes to assuring the needs of everyone is met and setting the tone of a healthy environment. Not ever has there been a negative experience during my time here. In regard to helping this office be successful, I’d like to acknowledge how well the technician Naylyn does. Since the day we met she’s reflected the office in such positive ways. Going above and beyond to make sure my needs were met and that there was never a time I felt uncomfortable or unacknowledged when I was present. Naylyn has made this such a wonderful experience. This place is somewhere I highly recommend.

Negative experience: I am writing to express my concerns regarding the ongoing issues I have experienced with my appointment scheduling and wait times at your office. Today, I faced yet another disappointing situation. My appointment was scheduled for 12 p.m., but I was not called back until 20 minutes past that time. After being seated, I waited an additional 10 minutes for the doctor to arrive. Following a brief check, I was informed that a technician would come in shortly. However, it took another five minutes for the technician to arrive, at which point she asked what color of rubber bands I wanted before leaving again. After a further 15-minute wait, a different clinician, who was not my designated technician, entered to inform me that they were looking for an instrument. After I expressed my concerns regarding the delays, the technician stated she would do her best to locate the necessary instruments. Unfortunately, it took another 10 minutes before my technician returned, and the treatment lasted only five minutes. I want to emphasize that I schedule my appointments with great care around my work commitments. Spending an hour in the office for only a five-minute appointment disrupts my professional responsibilities and has become a persistent issue. I pay for my treatment on time every month, and I expect the same experience in return. I value the care I receive at your practice, but better management of appointment times and client expectations can be improved. I would appreciate your attention to this matter and any steps you can take to enhance the patient scheduling process. Thank you for considering my complaint. I look forward to your prompt response.

I’m so impressed with this office and the service they offer, (don’t know why i took so long) however my orthodontic is extremely informative and caring. The tech for the most part look young how their knowledge is definitely not a young person knowledge , these techs are fully trained. The office always smells good and looks clean. Fantastic experience: I recently had an appointment for my braces, and I’m pleased to share my experience. From the moment I arrived at the office, the staff were warm, welcoming, and efficient. The waiting area was comfortable, and I was seen promptly. I had X-rays taken, then photo and more photos. During the appointment, the orthodontist was thorough in explaining the process and what I could expect from my braces treatment. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. The process of getting the braces placed was quick, and I didn’t experience any discomfort beyond the usual dentist appointment, my two nurses was phenomenal, friendly and most of all fun. The office itself was clean and well-maintained, with modern equipment (singing X-ray) that made me feel confident I was in good hands. They also provided detailed aftercare instructions to help manage any soreness and ensure I get the best results possible.Overall I’m satisfied with the service and the professionalism of the team. I feel like I'm in good hands with my orthodontic treatment, and I’m looking forward to seeing my final results!, I’ll be back with my end result, Can’t wait!!!!

Negative experience: My son’s teeth moved within weeks after paying top dollar for their service and years of appointments. I spent $700 on a permanent retainer that they refused to replace. The braces were $8k and they wanted another $3500 to put them back on. The ortho told me it’s not worth putting the fixed retainer back on but said there was nothing they could do about the $700 I spent?? They also wanted another $300 for new retainers. I’m absolutely disgusted and sick to my stomach.

Negative experience: I have repeatedly requested, on multiple occasions and to different individuals, that I did not want an enameloplasty (teeth shaving), either before or after having my braces removed. Despite my explicit instructions, an employee ignored the notes in my file and proceeded with the procedure anyway. I did allow her to slightly perfect my canines after expressing that I didn’t like how sharp they were. However, I made it clear that I didn’t think I would like my teeth shaved further, even though she insisted they would look beautiful if I did. As she finished working on my second canine, she immediately proceeded to shave my bottom teeth without hesitation. I was in shock and had no time to react. In her mind, she probably thought she was showing me how good they would look, but that’s obviously something you can never take back. I never expressed dissatisfaction with my bottom teeth—I loved the way they looked and never wanted them altered. I told myself I wouldn’t bother to write a review… BUT it has been a year and my bottom teeth STILL remain very sensitive, and I’m unsure what to do.

Negative experience: I am not Satisfied with how they are running this business! just 4 days ago i had got a permanent retainer placed behind my teeth and the experience was HORRIBLE!! the first girl that was helping me didn’t know exactly how to put the retainer on.. that’s fine everyone is learning but when she called for assistance the other lady who put them on was careless, she put too much glue on my Canine on my right side when the person who was originally helped me saw that she did that she said to the other lady “that’s too much glue” the lady then proceeds to say “it’s never too much glue”.. she started drilling excess glue off and hit my gums! and now it’s been 4 days with them and they are coming off.. LITERALLY THEY ARE FALLING OFF!! today i had a burger and while im eating my burger i hear something crack, its the retainer COMING OFF!! im disappointed ive had problems on multiple occasions but now im fed up.

Positive experience: I wanted to share some feedback regarding the office experience. The location is excellent and the ambiance is quite pleasant. Some of the staff at the front desk are nice and friendly, although not all. However, once I pass to the second waiting room, the atmosphere changes. The staff there often speak loudly or in hushed tones, laugh, and converse among themselves while patients wait to be called. This behavior is making the experience unsatisfactory. On a positive note, the doctors are truly amazing, and the diversity among them is commendable. I have referred a few of my friends, and they had similar experiences with the staff. I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the overall office environment.

Negative experience: This Orthodontist is a thumbs down!! They hire people that don’t know what they’re doing in your mouth and there’s a new doctor every few weeks and half of them don’t even know what they doing half of the time. I had to show 1 of the doctors that my bottom row was still crooked because she couldn’t even tell and she’s the one with the dental degree not me……. But yea Anyways Very unprofessional. Oh And Ms Susie is such a weird lady! 0 stars! Wouldn’t recommend. This place is money hungry!

Negative experience: Do not go to this money hungry orthodontist. They take your money and that is it. I was told I had to pay a certain amount to get them removed because I was done my treatment. I recently called to confirm and now they "practice manager" don't know what I am talking about in regards to what was told to me

With such detailed imaging, Dr. Hodges gives an insightful evaluation, examination, and treatment plan. After performing such an informed assessment, I was able to see that obtaining a beautiful smile is very possible. Fantastic experience: I love Kellyn Hodges Orthodontics! I refer them to any one in search of an Orthodontist. All staff members are friendly, and the practice is always clean. Unfortunately, it took me several weeks to adjust to my braces. I had occasional sharp pain or discomfort due to the wire poking the inside of my cheek. Any time this happened, and I could no longer tolerate the pain, I'd call to make an appointment. Within a few days, I am seen, and the issue rectified. I appreciate this practice, I trust them, and I can't wait to see my final results in 2025! Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: Before I ever visited Dr. Hodges, I had very wide gaps that made me feel so uncomfortable about smiling and it was really messing with my confidence. Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this office. Everyone on the staff is always so friendly and helpful. They are quick to get you in and out but also not rushing through your apppt. The front desk staff is amazing!! The service you get walking in the door and over the phone is always so pleasant and upbeat. This was the third office I went to for a consultation and I felt so good about being treated here I signed up that day. She was very patient and gentle during the process. I have very sensitive teeth so she gave me breaks when needed. She was very kind. The Bala Cynwyd office overall has very friendly staff. Negative experience: Got braces removed since this office is never in time but will not hesitate to charge a 50 fee for lateness. Last appointment was scheduled for 10am and they called at 9:30 to say don’t come because they failed to get retainers on time. Yet if I would of cancelled on the same day, they would of charged me $50. They are extremely unprofessional and waste of time to their customers

Negative experience: This place is horrible! The tool that’s used to keep your mouth open is passed around from patient to patient. Most of the dental assistants are not very knowledgeable about what they’re doing. This place is very money hungry and they mess peoples teeth up with those rusted wires that they put into peoples mouth! The metal rings keep coming off of my teeth because they’re not put on correctly. I wouldn’t send my dog here, it’s really that bad. L&I needs to come out and inspect this place badly!

Negative experience: Today I was seen by a rude and dismissive Dentist Foley. I had been having tooth pain due to the metal ring and was seen for this. When he entered the exam room he said hello and preceded to exam my teeth. Then he starts informing the dental assistant on what she is to perform. I then preceded to explain why i felt I was having the tooth pain. He rudely tells me he wasn’t done speaking to the assistant. The whole time he never addressed my tooth pain. I am so underwhelmed by this office to say the least. There is a million dental assistants working on the patients and you barely see anyone else. The dentist are in and out in 2 seconds, never listening to patients or explaining the process. If I knew what I knew now. I would have went to a different orthodontist office who doesn’t treat their patients like they are in an assembly line.

Negative experience: Update: Apparently you can do worse customer service than abysmal. So after I posted the review, I got a prompt call that they could have handled it differently and waived the fee. I told them that I gave the office clerk plenty of opportunity to research into this, but they weren't willing to do so. Now the office manager spelled an email for me to send my request to (you have my email, why don't you just send it to me or my phone???) and I tried multiple variations, none worked. I managed to contact a different office manager and sent multiple emails, still i haven't heard anything. Stay miles away from these people. Also they will overcharge you here. My wife paid 2x for the same treatment because she wasn't comfortable haggling with them. She has long transferred to a better orthodontist. Original post: Had my Invisalign Treatment here, despite getting an extended set of aligners, we didn't achieve a perfect outcome, mostly because the required attachments weren't placed. Treatment was ok, I didn't like the waiting times. Never saw Kellyn Hodges once, she outsources everything. Long story short, I wanted to transfer to a different office and simply for signing a simple document, that requires not effort at all on their side, they want to charge $75. Worst customer service ever. I had already heard from others who transferred, that it took unnecessarily long to get this document, now apparently they charge for it. I will contact Invisalign and inform them of this practice.
