Makes you feel at ease, explains everything in detail, very gentle, and great sense of humor!!! I didn't see Erin today, but she's a great hygienists and very sweet as well!!! Trish (front desk / handles insurance) will be missed, as she is Awesome as well!!! All around great place!!! Had to get some fillings today and as always Dr.Bessmer was absolutely fantastic!!! He does a great job, and has the best personality!!!! If your looking for a dentist I highly recommend give Dr. Bessmer a try!!!! You won't regret it!!! His assistant Anna was just as sweet as can be as well!!!

Fantastic experience: I just moved to TN from upstate NY 3 weeks ago. Last night my permanent bridge broke and to top it off, I am due to fly home to NY for my mothers 90th birthday on Tuesday! Ugh! I called several dentist not realizing many dentist are closed on Fridays in TN! I called True Dental in Hixson and explained my dilemma & they fit me in in a few short hours on a very busy day for them! The staff are great! The dentist was amazing! I’m very thankful and had such a great experience I asked if I could become their patient! I would highly recommend them and could not be happier!

Thanks to all of you for the great job you’re all doing! Mina 10/16/24 I had a routine 6-month cleaning and as usual had a great experience with Dr. Bessmer, Erin and Wendy! Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist! 4/21/25 in for routine dental cleaning. First time to meet Tracy (hygienist) and Susan (in the front .office). Very pleasant meeting! Tracy made me feel at ease right away, she’s wonderful and knowledgeable! As always, Dr.Bessmer is awesome! Along with Nisha! The staff in this office is highly recommendable! 10/27/25 for routine dental cleaning, I was worked-in due to my schedule. Susan was very helpful and pleasant to talk to! Dr.Bessmer and Tracy (also Nisha and Anna) as usual, are wonderful, compassionate and knowledgeable! As old as I am I realized too that I don’t dread going to the dentist office anymore because of the way I’ve been treated by everyone in this office! Fantastic experience: I have been going to this location for years, even before the new company moved in. Everyone at this office is so friendly, makes great conversation, and educates their patients thoroughly. I've been to some money-hungry medical practices in the past, and this is not one of them. Everything is laid out so clearly, there is never any miscommunication, and they never jeopardize my oral/dental health for the sake of upselling products and procedures. Both the dental hygienists and the dentist himself always keep a positive attitude and take such good care of me. I cannot tell you the amount of times I've teared up from laughing so hard with the employees here. I CAN tell you, however, the amount of times I've teared up from a painful procedure here: ZERO. Pain management when it comes to patient health and comfortability is always taken seriously here, and the staff do so much to relieve my anxieties. I will always choose this dental practice over others in the area!

Fantastic experience: The visit started with a warm reception at the check in area and smoothly progressed into the most extensive and professional dental exam I’ve had in years. When the Dr. entered the exam room, he reviewed the X-rays, told me what needed to be done, and then the wonderful hygienist finished be giving me a thorough cleaning. The dentist and staff are extremely cordial and professional. I’ve landed at a good practice.

As a mom of three, I’ve put myself last at times, but the staff was kind, patient, and never made me feel embarrassed. They made me feel comfortable and supported the entire time. If you’ve been putting off dental work or feel anxious, this is a safe place. They are very professional!

Fantastic experience: I had a painful cracked molar and was leaving town the very next day, and TD was able to get me in the next morning and place a temp crown. The reception staff were very professional, friendly, and caring, as were the rest of the team including Dr. Bessemer. I thought their pricing was fair.

Negative experience: Not sure who originally called me, but one of the ladies in the office contacted me to notify me of a missed appointment. I explained that my entire household, including myself, was sick, and we also have a newborn. She stated that they require a 48-hour cancellation notice. However, I had no way of knowing 12 hours earlier that I would wake up sick. I am writing this at 9:17 AM on the day of the appointment to clarify what I mean by “12 hours ago.” Also, do not fill out the online paperwork they send you, because once you do, you are agreeing in writing to pay $75 if you cancel or are late. I never filled out those forms, yet she kept insisting, “I’m pretty sure you did.” If I had completed them, they wouldn’t have texted me every other day for two weeks reminding me to fill them out.

Fantastic experience: Very satisfied with the progress at this 75% milestone with my dental aligners. The goal is to restore and hold the proper alignment of the upper and lower teeth that otherwise have a tendency to drift during aging. When deciding to have this procedure, I realized the bite correction was much more important long-term for dental health than the mere cosmetic correction. I would highly recommend True Dental to anyone having this issue.

Negative experience: Everyone was very friendly could not ask for better bedside manners, but when I got my partial plate it has never fit from the first time I put it in my mouth been back a couple of times, the dentist he grinned down on it trying to get it to fit right but never has, it had to be the wrong measurements when they send it in to get it made for my mouth, I still can't wear them, my honest opinion, they should have been redone, measured and a new plate made, the one I have is useless to me and I did pay the whole bill.

Fantastic experience: This is the only place I have been able to find that accepts United Healthcare! The entire staff was beyond kind and professional. I was in and out quickly with a clear plan moving forward. They even gave me a little welcome gift. I had a bad experience at my old dentist and they truly listened to my concerns and responded with kindness. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had a pretty good case of anxiety from a prior bad experience at a different dentist office, but when I went into True Dental and had my first couple appointments, they completely washed that anxiety away. They are very kind and gentle on teeth, and they were very agreeable when I asked about a numbing of the teeth for my first cleaning. Dr. Bessmer is always super informative and professional. Kevyn is a great hygienist that was super friendly and did her job very well. And the administrative coordinator, Susan, has also been awesome in helping with scheduling, insurance, and billing. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: While everyone was extremely nice but the issue was , I went there because I was Experiencing a very painful tooth ache and I needed it pulled. He wanted to send me to an oral surgeon because it was broken off. And I could get in, but that was only for a consultation.They wouldn't do on that visit.It was very disappointing . Therefore, I had to make another appointment with a different general dentist. Hopefully it will be taken care of soon. But if I hadn't had a problem I would have gone back.

Fantastic experience: I was very surprised when I had the opportunity to select noise canceling headphones, eye mask, lip balm, neck pillow and a blanket to enjoy during my dental appointment. I did not choose anything this time but I will definitely make a selection next time. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes. The staff was very nice and I enjoyed the calming music. Update: April 25, 2025– my 6 month check up went smooth. The dental technician was super sweet. Always a fabulous experience from start to finish.

The dental Hygienist, heard my concerns & proceeded with caution- explaining every step before attempting anything, very sweet & gentle. Fantastic experience: I broke a partial portion of my front tooth, I look and feel like Dracula. Susan made an appointment for me right away and around my schedule. The dental assistant Neoshell was very kind, she explained to me everything she was needing to do before the dentist could see me. Dr. Bessmer checked my teeth and we discussed what my teeth were doing and looked. He listened to me and we formed a plan to remedy my teeth situation. I was comfortable the entire time. I can't wait till we can start the process to a better mouth.
