Fantastic experience: As much as I hate to admit it, it’s been way too long since I last saw a dentist—mostly because, well… dentists kind of scare me. (It’s a real fear, okay? Lol.) My sister goes to Clark Dental Studio and recommended Dr. Clark, but I was honestly hesitant. Let me just say this: when it comes to healthcare of any kind, I’m super picky. I don’t vibe with just anyone, and I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences. But Dr. Clark? Completely changed the game. He’s hands-down the most professional, inclusive, and non-judgmental dentist I’ve ever met. He made me feel safe, seen, and actually respected as a patient—which sadly, isn’t always a given. I genuinely won’t go anywhere else now. If you’re even slightly nervous about seeing a dentist or just want someone who gets it, look no further. Clark Dental Studio is it.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Clark is the best dentist I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. It’s been a struggle for me to find the motivation to visit a dentist, especially after years of tooth pain and other dentist claiming there was never an issue and “there’s no reason I should be hurting”. Without me mentioning this, Dr. Clark was suspicious about an issue on my first visit. I ended up having interior tooth decay and he calmly and patiently worked through solutions to save my tooth - he recommended me to a specialist for a root canal and did the crown himself. It was practically painless. And I respect his choice of sending me to someone specialized in the issue when he could have done it himself ensure I received the best care for such a specific issue. It’s been almost two years pain free and I can eat normally again for the first time in over five years. Dr. Clark and his staff are the upmost professional and friendly, I genuinely hope everyone can find a dentist as caring and experienced as him. Additionally, my dental hygienist, Molly, is as absolute delight and always leaves my teeth feeling clean and healthy. She clearly communicates what she’s doing and has never once made me uncomfortable. Together, her and Dr. Clark have made the dentist feel like a visit to old friends where I just happen to get some teeth work done. Cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Clark Dental Studios was beyond excellent! The staff is so friendly - I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. The cleaning was thorough and painless. Dr. Clark cares deeply for his patients, which is evident in how he goes above and beyond for his patients. My hygienist, Molly, was fabulous! Can't recommend this place enough!

Dr Clark and every single member of the staff are super nice and so easy to work with on everything from dental work to the scheduling and insurance stuff. The office is easy to get to and there's plenty of free parking. If you hate going to the dentist, I would give this office a try. The vibe is totally relaxed and comfortable.

They even look for ways to save you money which is a rarity these days. Dr. Clark is a pro and just makes you feel at ease. I've always hated going to the dentist, but now I look forward to it. I have never been disappointed after an appointment or receiving a bill. What more can you ask for? Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've been looking for a new dentist since I moved to Chattanooga last year. I tried a chain dental office with no luck. I was used to the personal service I received at my long-time dentist. When speaking to my eye doctor, he recommended Dr. Matt Clark's dental office. What a great recommendation that was. Fantastic experience: Dr. Clark is my absolute favorite dentist that I’ve ever had. He makes something that most people dread… PLEASANT! I always leave with a smile on my face. He also never fails to make me laugh. My father goes to him as well and says how kind & professional he is. My father is a bit more serious then I am, so I’m guessing Dr. Clark is also great at reading people and acts according. Let’s talk skill- my expectations after living in NY/Chicago are pretty high and my family and I agree that he is a master at his craft!! We have had only Positive experiences. I feel very fortunate that we found such a skilled, personable, dentist who can do it all. He has even fit me in for a sudden tooth ache during a Holiday! His entire staff are so sweet while also super efficient and respectful of there patients time. I even enjoy cleanings! Fantastic experience: Our family loves Dr. Clark! Dr. Clark has helped my husband heal from deep trauma from previous experiences with dentists in his childhood. I always have the most gentle cleanings and the dental hygienist did a great job of handling my toddler's meltdown during his most recent teeth cleaning. The office is very nice so it makes you feel pampered and makes you hate teeth cleanings a little less! Also, they send text reminders about your appointments which is huge for us as a busy family.

Fantastic experience: There is no shortage of dentists in Chattanooga, but Dr. Clark is one of the few excellent ones. The care he puts into his work for his patients, and the personality he brings to the experience is second to none. The fact that his staff genuinely seems happy doing what they do and working with him, both the front and back staff (Sherry, Shelby, Jenny and Molly to name a few), I believe speaks for itself. I've had a few poor procedures over the years, but Dr. Clark has cured any concern I may have had to potentially have another one. He did a remarkable job on my crown, and after almost 2 years, I haven't had a single issue with it. It also feels like the real tooth that was there before the root canal, and based on a previous awful procedure, that is not something every dentist can do. He also recently gave me some great recommendations on the steps to take for another procedure I will need in the future. They weren't based on him or any referring dentist making as much money as possible, but based on what was best for me. In my opinion, it's just one more thing that sets him apart from the rest. Thank you, Dr. Clark. Your work is truly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: My really excellent dental office experience: The reception area has a variety of seating options, current reading material, and several striking paintings by a local artist. It is 7:30 am and I receive a cheerful morning greeting from the office manager (who I happen to know has worked here for many years). My appointment was for a basic cleaning but I had not had one in almost three years so I was a little nervous. The hygienist was so kind and gentle but certainly thorough and made my mouth felt “sparkly” again. She also had some helpful tips for my routine brushing habits that I very much appreciated. After the cleaning Dr. Clark came in to review the X-rays (recommended based on my last visit) and the chart history with the hygienist. He immediately puts a patient at ease with his friendly, yet professional, manner and just the right touch of humor. He asked if I had any issues, or changes, in my mouth that might be of concern (which I did not) and agreed with the hygienist that my using an electric toothbrush would be beneficial. At checkout I wasn’t sure if my insurance coverage had changed. A quick check on the computer showed it had not. After a very friendly (and most reasonable) suggestion about my not waiting quite so long between cleanings I was on my way. With much appreciation for everyone at the Clark Dental Studio, ~ MCK.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency today and my dentist happened to be out of town. Dr. Clark made himself available within an hour! He and his staff were so lovely and accommodating.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Clark is not my normal dentist but he was on call for my guy. He and his staff were welcoming, attentive, and thorough. He explained each step along the way and was finished quickly. I'd recommend this dentist to anyone in the area.

Negative experience: Unfortunately having to change my review due to how my family was treated. We are a family of 7 and with that it is hard to make appts all the time due to sickness, injuries and just unexpected things in life. I was just informed that we are no longer able to be patients of Dr. Clark's due to missing too many appts. Let me just say none of those missed appts were on purpose. First missed was due to an allergic reaction that I was immediately let them know about as I was on my way to be seen for. The second time was being deathly sick with gallbladder! Surgery and recovery later I let them know before surgery and everything what was going on and went on to reschedule. Now my family is sick with sinus infections. Coughing and sneezing and just not great. Call to inform them they didn't answer. Call again and get informed we are no longer patients. This breaks my heart because my kids and I loved him and everyone there. I hate having to write a bad review. We have enjoyed them over this last year but now have to find someone else. I do not recommend them since they have no care for family emergencies and sickness. I was also never informed of this policy which wouldn't change anything since I don't have much help for my kids. Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience getting my teeth cleaned by Molly today! She’s very professional and did a great job, but she’s also easy to talk to and put me at ease. Dr. Clark is thorough, considerate of my time, and a good communicator. I highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I have, what I consider, pretty intense dental anxiety. What I really appreciate about Dr. Clark is he takes a very holistic approach to this challenge. He gave me different shaped stress balls for each hand, coached me through breathing techniques, while keeping me informed of every step while encouraging as many breaks as I needed. I normally request nitrous to stave off the anxiety attacks, but he empowers and seems really invested in making sure a safe space is created for all patients. Today I had a crown pop off and was able to get a same day appointment and was in and out in less then half an hour. Thanks to the Clark Dental Studio Staff! The front desk and hygienists are just as attentive and fun to work with.

Fantastic experience: I have only been in TN 4 years. I found Clark Dental Studios when I was looking for something close to my office. Dr. Clark has a fairly new practice and was accepting new patients. Honestly, I have only been to 3 dental offices in my lifetime (as a child, then on my own as an adult, and now here in TN). Dr. Clark and his staff are fabulous and he will likely be my dentist until my death or he retires (thank goodness he is young and we will grow old together). Dr. Clark has always addressed my concerns and any potential problems my husband and I have. He has a sense of humor and often cracks jokes. He used to give out t-shirts for a great dental checkup. I like free t-shirts. Go see Dr. Clark and his staff, you will have the best dentist in the area.

Not the biggest fan of going to the dentist in general but these two (and the nice woman behind the counter) made my entire visit easy and fun.
