Dr. Charles Ankar DDS

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ankar is truly an exceptional professional. He took time out of his busy day to personally follow up with us and made sure my autistic daughter received the best possible care. Speaking with him was a powerful reminder that there are still kind, compassionate people in the world; and he is absolutely one of them. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Fantastic experience: I visited the Vetrans Affairs folks for audiology assistance and all went well, and when leaving I noticed that one of my teeth needed attention at this time and I knew that Shallowford Family Dental was only a couple minutes away. I stopped, went in and the receptionist looked up my information, was very helpful, and was able to work me in in just a little while. An dental assistant came out and took me to her area, checked out the tooth, did an ex-ray, and called-in Dr. Charles Ankar. He checked it out and said that the tooth is infected and needs attention, that he would right-out a prescription and that his assistant would call my pharmacy. Later the pharmacy sent a text, saying it was ready for pick up. All three (3) of these Dental professional were kind, helpful, patient, and had the attitude of "what can i especially do for you". I appreciate each one of them and currently (one day out) taking meds twice and day and hope all will be well in about a week. So, thanks again for your service to your customers, you folks are outstanding!

Negative experience: I feel that the higienist are very aggressive and rough not taking the time to be patient and understanding .they just want to run around your teeth with the sonic tool and be done with you. I was very disappointed with how I was treated.

Fantastic experience: I chipped a front tooth over the weekend, I called and left a message on Sunday afternoon, they called me at 8:15 Monday morning and Dr Ankar and his team had my tooth repaired and on the road by 10 :15 AM. All I have to say is they are AWESOME... They ALL are Polite Professionals....

I look forward to seeing her and Dr. Edwards. I know I am in safe and excellent hands with them. The entire office is so friendly in person and on the phone. I feel welcome every time I’m there. I love the text reminders also, and their office smells like heaven. I would highly recommend them, and I will remain their patient in perpetuity! April was very professional and caring as she prepared the site by removing the temp then refitting the permanent one. Dr Ankar then took over and glued it in place and finished the procedure. Dr Ankar and his staff are very caring.

Fantastic experience: I came for a bridge for a tooth with a few problems. The most recent is that the crown would not stay put. It was extracted and included in a bridge fitting. Dr.Gardenhire and Kala worked like the fine team that they are. I was made comfortable during the extensive work. Although it's a temporary piece of technology, the bridge feels excellent. My dental work is done only by Dr. Gardenhire. My family of four only uses this practice, and those I have referred over the past 26 years have also had pleasant experiences.

Because Dr Ankar was not there I saw Dr Edwards who went over my x-rays really well and helped me understand any side effects from a recent infusion that I had. I recommend this practice highly.
