Fantastic experience: Love ortho, she is great at her job/gift, and sweet as well. She listens to the patient and takes the time needed to make sure my daughter is comfortable and treated for any issues. Supporting staff is attentive as well. Thank you all

Negative experience: When I went in for the first time and it was my first going into a dentist after awhile and I knew nothing. Everything proceeded smoothly x-ray, checkup, etc. but when it came to pay for the x-ray and I had PPO insurance they charged me around almost 600 dollars and I did the payment plan and I needed a root canal they didn’t even include my insurance and I paid out of pocket and after doing more research I did pay out of pocket, few months go by I get a message from gentle dental saying they forgot to collect 470.40 I went to liberty dental Quintana they were extremely helpful and found out I have two insurance I paid nothing out of pocket I highly recommend to not go to this place because they are unhelpful just to go liberty dental Quintana jr.

Negative experience: I need to bring up a employee named Maria that had me sign so she says about dental work back in about March 2021 that I would agree to pay $400 i don't I ever agreed to this never saw the documentation got the bill 4 years later I think Maria should be investigated on this Matter plus she said her Manager won't say the name that I would pay just $200 found out from the manager that it isn't true so people are making false statements so i wouldn't recommend this place to anybody see u in court you know who you are

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at Gentle Dental this afternoon. The ladies that work there were kind and helpful and Dr. Saed took time to explain my up coming proceedure. He made me feel at ease and safe in his care. I look forward to future visits.

Fantastic experience: I had my Invisalign trays placed today and it was a great experience. The staff is wonderful. I waited before eating lunch and as soon as I removed my bottom tray I lost a bracket, I called them and I had it fixed in a jiffy. I was glad they were able to fit me in so quickly.

Negative experience: Service was terrible. They refused to pull my teeth because they wanted to do bone grafts and I refused because I didn’t have a 1000 dollars to pay for them. The dental assistant got extremely rude with me argued with me about it picked up my file said angrily they weren’t going to work on my and stormed out of the room. Would not recommend Gentle Dental to anyone. The place is a rip off. 10 thumbs down. Will never go back. You can’t force someone to pay for something that is not necessary.

Negative experience: Stay away from this dentist. If you read other reviews they just try and take your money. My husband took our daughter in for her first visit and made it totally clear they only wanted a cleaning. They charged us $19 for toothpaste and scaling was another outrageous fee. It was $256 total. My husband said there was a misunderstanding and he did not want anything else done. I called and was told I'm sorry we have a consent form and payment on file. My daughter stated she signed a form for a cleaning. She is only 18 and did not fully understand what was happening. She said she felt like everything was forced on her.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. Extremely long wait times and once I refused to pay almost $500 for a “deep clean” they did a haphazard cleaning which was basically just brushing my teeth.

Negative experience: On 6/20/25, I went to Gentle Dental for x-rays. The woman at the front desk ran my insurance and told me there would be no cost. On 6/30/25, I unexpectedly received a bill for $183.00. When I asked them to bill my secondary insurance, they refused. I spoke with them multiple times by phone and email, but they continued to insist I pay $183 instead of properly billing. I then called both of my insurance companies and spoke to nine representatives in total. Every single one confirmed the x-rays should have been fully covered. They agreed that Gentle Dental’s billing department seems incompetent and unwilling to do their job. After spending four full days trying to resolve this with complete resistance from Gentle Dental, I filed complaints with the state and federal dental boards, as well as through my insurance companies. I want to be clear: I do NOT recommend Gentle Dental. The dentist himself was informative, but the wait time was nearly an hour, and the billing office has been unprofessional and unhelpful.

Negative experience: Most of these positive reviews seem fake to me. I noticed they charge a lot of patients in the reviews for same if not similar thing. I, took my daughter in for wisdom removals consultation today. This had to be an emergency removal. Two weeks ago, daughter had swollen face and neck. She, had infection. When we saw dentist, he advice to take her to the ER for life threatening infection in wisdom. He Rx antibiotics. Ok so back to today, I take her in to see the oral surgeon. The oral surgeon said my daughter needs bone graft and membrane. Insurance does not cover this and it costs $2,300!!!! mind you, she has medical! low income! She has medical for a reason! As a mother in desperate need to advocate and help my child i tried everything to get them to help her and that oral surgeon clearly only was thinking about how to make extra money! No Humanity or compassion with my daughters pain and suffering! my daughter is autistic and can't communicate when she needs help! they offered a payment plan with Sunbit and required a down payment! we can not afford this! i told them this and they did not care! They gave me a referral to Loma linda knowing Loma linda is currently closed for new patients! the staff here only wanted money out of pocket they do not settle for what medical insurance pays! This place has no humanity i do not recommend beware of these money hungry professionals ****I GOT your reply. I do not believe one thing about what you replied.You caring for my child´s well being is fake. you did not try to help her with this pain and suffering while we where there. I told you clearly she has pain and can not eat! you turned us away I asked for you to remove her two wisdoms that did not need drafting so she can get a little relieve and eat, you said no you said you are not touching those You wanted to remove all 4 at once you said medical would not cover the other 2 wisdoms at the bottom that need drafting all you wanted was money that i can not afford! You are a liar! No humanity in you!

Negative experience: Staff was fairly professional however I went on with two concerns and only one was taken care of not to mention they were price gouging for a bone graft at 800 per tooth when a family member had the same procedure done at a different provider at 250 per, following up for fillings and taking my concerns somewhere else

Negative experience: Wasted my time I spent 2 hours there they did X-rays and then clean my teeth told me there gonna put in for a deep cleaning and pull the teeth that's showing nerve doctor couldn't see me on my appt time because he decided to take someone before me I waited 2 hours for them to tell me doctor doesn't want to work on my teeth when I asked why they said they are not sure sometimes he may feel he doest want to treat a patient for his own reason so then they referred me to there specialist who has availability 1 time a month and that the slot is filled and there is a waiting list so it's safe to say my insurance paid them for the x ray the standard cleaning and the visit but no treatment so I'm looking for another dental office as we speak I will never go back.

Negative experience: Would be 0 stars. I went for a standard checkup and cleaning. After being super nice to me, they said I would have to pay out of pocket since my insurance doesn't cover it. I called my insurance and they said they did cover it. I got mad and walked out.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit. I recently changed insurance and this office was recommended thru my plan. I was experiencing a little tenderness is my mouth but nothing terribly painful. I expected xrays and a check up. Unfortunately my xrays showed a cracked root in my tooth. Dr. Said explained I was lucky as this normally comes with alot of pain. He clearly explained the issue, showed me the xrays and the suggested treatment without feeling pushy. I decided to have the damaged tooth removed before it became painful. During the procedure he consistently asked how I was doing ( no pain). He removed the tooth, re packed the area within 20 minutes. He said he took his time as to jot break the point of the root. I was actually surprised it took only 20 minutes. I joked before the procedure I hoped they lived up to their name - Gentle Dental. Which they definitely did. So glad I found a new dentist who is caring and his wonderful office team.

Fantastic experience: I had oral surgery done. My case was complicated by the fact that I have had radiation to the face recently. Dr. A and his team were superb! I am a big baby when it comes to dental work, and they all helped me to relax, and make me feel secure for this proceedure. I was sedated for this, and everything went very smoothly. Pain has really been minimal and easily controlled. I am so looking forward to having my smile back, and Gentle Dental will always be my go to place from now on. They have earned my trust.

Fantastic experience: Two appointments in a row have gotten cancel the same day of my appointment. I have gotten the days off from work because we are a family of 4 and they were kind to accept all of us but there is no point if we never get to attend the appointments. I will update if things change but as of now I'm upset and disappointed. I lost money and a whole day... Edit: They recently change their Doctor and also I was seen on all my appointments. I think they drastically change for the better. I also appreciated how my dentist is focus on doing the right thing. He is a great example of what a Dentist should be. Negative experience: Stay away from Gentle Dental in Apple Valley! I've visited 6 other dentists/orthodontists since my first visit with Gentle Dental & I can confidently say I could NOT recommend this office at all. I was able to compare their services and know that the service I was provided with here was below average, rude and unprofessional. I'd not been to the dentist in awhile & I was anxious. I did quite a bit of research looking for a dentist that would be compassionate & ease my anxiety. I settled for Gentle Dental based on reviews. My biggest dissappointment was the dentist's professionalism & work performance. When the dentist came in the room, he never introduced himself & barely looked at me. I still don't know his name but he's their main dentist there. He looked in my mouth less than 2 minutes & said I had no cavities & was pretty much ready to walk out the room. I had to voice my concerns so he could take a second look at my teeth but even then he didn't do a thorough examination. He was overall rude, lacked empathy & work performance was basic. He talked directly to me once & then never after that. The assistant/xray girl did most of the talking for him & was the one asking if I had any questions. He didn't make me feel comfortable or satisfied with the examination. And even thought my wisdom teeth clearly show on the xrays that they're an issue, I had to request for a referral to get them removed. The dentist was just in a hurry to leave the room. After all that, Laura the office manager came in to explain pricing. She gave me pricing verbally however, I never received or saw a single piece of paper like an invoice or a receipt with the breakdown of the total & information on what job was being performed. So you don't get any itemized bills, invoices or estimates which is suspicious. Every other dentist & ortho office I've gone to give paper or electronic invoices, estimates and receipts. Laura also didn't provide me with an estimate or schedule me for the wisdom teeth removal. She said she would later reach out, send me the cost & contact me regarding the removal. She didn't give me any info there which made no sense since they have all the pricing info they need at their office. To this day I've not received a single phone call or email from them. Despite this I decided to give them another chance & get a braces consultation with their ortho. The ortho was friendly and examined my teeth thoroughly. So no complaints there. I spoke to Laura about the cost of the braces & once again I didn't get an itemized estimate. Not only that but they don't have any in house financing. The total cost she quoted me was about $8,000 & she said they required the entire amount upfront. Laura then said she would email me the link for the Care Credit option. I never received anything from her. So twice, Laura didn't follow through on what she said she would do. On top of all that, getting a hold of anyone in the office is a nightmare & I've called over 20 times. When you first call, the answering service gives you an option for new patients & one for existing patients. When you press the existing patients option the phone rings & rings until you get a voicemail that is full. You are unable to leave a message so no one can ever contact you. Other times when I've selected the new patient option their call answering service also tries to reach them & are unable to. There was also a time I stopped at their office on a Friday at 3:00 PM & the office was closed. Their business hours say they are open on Fri until 6 PM. I was honestly surprised about all the good reviews after my experience. But when you start looking more into it you can see that their own employees write the reviews. As there's at least one review of the place from the office manager Laura Ferreira. (Took a screenshot in case she deletes after this review). Employees shouldn't leave reviews for their employer. Google's guidelines prohibit reviews from employees because they are likely biased and don't represent a typical customer. Go somewhere they will treat you right!

Positive experience: The 3 stars are for the nice and professional Dr, hygienist and front office staff. But back office, xray tech needs to be more friendly and smile more and the girl who verifies insurance gives you quotes for procedures as well. The moment I said I had private dental insurance of course that’s what wanted to be used instead of my denti-cal and when I asked to be called back to set up my procedure she told me “ well I’m busy too, so hopefully I have time to call you” I mean if you want my business you’ll call me and if you don’t then I can take my business elsewhere that simple. I wasn’t scheduled a follow up apt until I was at home 1 hour later I receive a text with my 6 month follow up? Horrible service!

Negative experience: So I needed them to call my primary for a doctor's ok because I just went through that process and have the information they need ready to go. They would not and rather than going through that hell again. I'm off to find another Dentist. I explained I have throat cancer and need this done right away before they start that treatment. The girl and manager didn't give a rats ass and were happy to cancel me. What a waste of time. There is no care from the staff at this place. I don't know how you make money letting your staff run away business like that.

Negative experience: Be very careful with this place. I have been waiting to leave a review until I had a second opinion. Long story short was told I needed a Root canal, crown, special mouth guard made to put special paste in it for nighttime use, deep cleaning and maybe some other things I can’t remember. I asked what if I just want to fix my back molar and get a cleaning? She told that’s not possible and that my appointment couldn’t continue without agreeing to receive that treatment. Not even a cleaning. So I left. Went to another dentist. Thank God I left because come to find out my teeth are perfectly fine. Just needed a deep cleaning. No root canal, no crown no nothing. Told me that they were straight up lying to me to make a PROFIT. just to think that I was about to endure that pain without even needing too. Be careful. Plus the paste they were going to give me is known to give health issues to patients. A lot of dentist don’t even acknowledge that paste anymore due to that reason. Very bad morals. Who knows how many countless patients they have lied to to make a buck. Quoted me $3500 ended up paying $80. BE CAREFUL.

Negative experience: Gonna be honest, one of the receptionists yelled at me 2 years ago and I never went back. When I went in for the first time an older lady at the computer couldn't find my dental insurance using my medical card. I kept telling her the name of the dental provider and that I don't have a dental card, just the regular medical insurance card (that other dentists have been able to use before with no issue) and suggested they look up my parents to see if that helps (because I was under their insurance). Another lady came in and yelled at me saying "okay! Your parents haven't been here in over a year so that's not going to work!" To which I started tearing up because I came in for horrible pain, other patients were staring, and I had to excuse myself to cry in my car outside. Never went back. Never will. 0/5. Was not a gentle experience.

Negative experience: I was very displeased with my experience at this office. My first priority is to keep what teeth I have left. They wanted to pull 3 of them. They insisted I had an infection in one of my teeth. I had a blood test with NO elevation of white blood cells, no swelling and no pain. The cost was extensive on top of that.

Negative experience: The dentist didn’t know what he was doing, and I dentures fit horribly can’t talk with them. Can’t eat with them. It was a mess and overcharged and didn’t charge my insurance. Recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: 3 months and still DO NOT HAVE MY REFUND!!! They are holding my money and not calling me back. Has requested a manager multiple times to give me a call was even told to call and when I called back, they told me the managers are aware of the situation and will follow up with me, but I still have not gotten a call back. I even called And submitted a grievance against the Apple Valley office and still have not gotten a call back. My next steps are to call corporate or to file a lawsuit about my refund. They are only interested in collecting your money, but not returning the money that they owe you.

Negative experience: Y'all I'm going to be so fr, I was supposed to see them in February for a retainer appointment and got there at 8 (like they told me to on my appointment card) it was closed. No big deal, but I needed that eight o'clock appointment because I had an interview that day. I called them a few times that day, then about twice everyday until March with no answer. I left a voice mail once everyday with zero call backs.

Negative experience: Very rude over the phone . Called with a few simple questions and was told “we can’t tell you anything unless you are seen” . Definitely helped with my decision to NOT use their services .

Fantastic experience: Dr tran and staff are curious and caring. Dr Trans went above and beyond to help me when I most needed with a scary dental problem I had . He help me with out a question did everything in his power to make sure my situation was resolved. For the pricing the staff: Laura was very understanding and even offer me payment options for my treatment which was very helpful in this economy. Over all gentle Dental Dr tran and his staff are the best . Caring, professional, and quality service with dignity at all times.

After waiting 3 months from my last adjustment only to be told that they no longer take my insurance and that for an adjustment it's going to be 194.00 or close to that amount pay in advance. If they no longer took my insurance I would at least think they should call me and let me know so that am not wasting my time going somewhere that's not going to finish what they started in giving me these dentures.

Positive experience: I called for an emergency visit because I needed to have a crown re-cemented. I was extremely pleased with how professional my contact was from my initial phone call until the completion of services. I was not pressured to get services i did not need or request. I was treated like a valued patient throughout my contact. Staff were professional and caring. I will return.
