Fantastic experience: I had a great visit today with Designer Smiles Dental. As always, the service was great and I was very pleased with their work.

Negative experience: I underwent full-mouth cosmetic crown treatment at Designer Smiles Dental Studio. The case remains incomplete due to concerns I raised regarding shade uniformity, crown retention, and overall cosmetic consistency. Several crowns appear visibly different in shade, creating an inconsistent aesthetic outcome. In addition, more than one crown has come off during the course of treatment. I also have concerns that certain restorations, including a bridge, do not properly meet or contour to the gum line. Because of these issues, I paused placement of the remaining implant crowns until the concerns could be properly evaluated and addressed. I communicated these problems directly with Dr. Richardson and office management in an effort to resolve the matter before posting this review. I was initially advised the concerns would be reviewed. However, I was later informed that any additional corrections would be my responsibility. I was also directed to contact the dental lab regarding shade concerns, but the lab clarified they operate under the dentist’s direction. Given the scope of treatment involving multiple crowns and implants, I expected stronger coordination, quality control, and clear follow-through. I am currently seeking an independent evaluation before proceeding further. I hope this experience encourages improved communication and oversight for patients undergoing complex cosmetic dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy the service I receive from Designer Smiles Dental Studio, they always give excellent sevice! From the moment you walk in the door the office Attendant's are pleasant & helpful in getting you ready for treatment! The Dental Assistant's & Dental Hygienist are caring & attentive doing their best to make sure your visit is completed in a timely manner while being kind!

Fantastic experience: Great Experience, I actually dislike going to the dentist only because I don’t like having my mouth gaped open for extended periods of time as I hear tools scrape the plaque from my beautiful brushed teeth. This technician is a wonderful person to converse with as well as her technique of cleaning. I felt so comfortable and at ease as if I were at home getting my teeth cleaned. Negative experience: This place doesn't listen. I made in clear what I wanted. I explained on the first visit that I wanted a bridge.She does unnecessary things for the sake of billing. I only went to two visits and both consisted of X rays. No cleaning No actual dental work but sent in an extremely high bill. If you want a dentist that will listen to you then keep looking because this place DOES NOT CARE.

Fantastic experience: The staff was very welcoming, they treated me with great care. When I had a dental emergency, Dr Richardson asked me to come within 2 hours of calling. Upon arrival, I was taken to the back into an exam room by a friendly staff member. I didn't need to wait until the following day and miss work. When I moved to Prattville, there were so many choices for dental care. Designer Smiles with Dr Richardson and her staff were highly recommended to me by a coworker. Anyone new to the area like I was, may not know who to trust with dental care for themselves and their family. I made an excellent choice.

Fantastic experience: Designer Smiles is an amazing dentist office. They have been so helpful to me when I had a couple dental emergencies last year and one of which I wasn’t even a patient yet. I was in so much pain, and other offices that I called would not see me until their first available appointment which is typically 3-6 months away. Dr Richardson is the best and squeezed me in right away. When you’re in pain, you cannot wait 3-6 months! I have yet to find a dental urgent care. Lynn, the hygienist, is quick and gentle. All of the staff is friendly. I cannot recommend Designer Smiles enough.

Negative experience: First The office staff were great. However my cleaning was one of the worst I have had. I’m highly sensitive and I clearly stated that. I was in pain the entire cleaning. I move constantly and have been to numerous dentist offices. I have never experienced a cleaning that painful. If you have sensitive teeth or gums I would be fully prepared that they do not take that into consideration. Also the hygienist was explaining a prescription tooth paste for me however the dentist only spoke about a tooth paste they sell for $25.00. Never took the time to explain any prescription options. I ended up buying it just trying to get out of the office and hope to find some relief.

There was never a long wait time to see the dental hygienist and Dr. Richardson is always present and involved. They do an excellent job informing and explaining the need for and how a procedure will go. The office is always clean and the aesthetic is chic and calm.
