Fantastic experience: If we could give Midgette Dentristy 6 stars we would. The facility is completely up-to-date and beautifully designed. The staff is awesome. It's obviously that everyone who works for Dr. Midgette is happy to be there, and Dr. Midgette is fully engaged, not only with us as patients, but with his staff, mentoring them and teaching them as procedures progress. He has invested in cutting edge technology that produces excellent results as well as reducing unproductive time for his patients, his staff, and himself. We could not recommend this practice more highly!

You know what I'm talking about- there are some in the medical profession, like other professions; lawyers, builders, plumbers that we would rather not experience twice. This is not one of them. I take my 88 year old mom here and everyone from the front office to the dental technician to the dentist to the ladies that take the payment to those who make the follow-up appointments, everyone takes time to listen to her and explain everything to her down to each procedure beforehand. Excellent office atmosphere, location and treatment look no further let Midgette Dental take care of all your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Always given prompt and courteous service and attention. Today’s appointment included scheduling the next phase of implant. Staff, particularly Sue, went beyond the call of duty to follow up with calls related to scheduling appointment, including getting me back in for scan. Wonderful customer service!

Fantastic experience: The staff here are extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The staff takes their time to explain in easy to understand breakdowns your dental situation as they couple that with modern-day imaging technology. My cleaning was quite quick and quite painless as they used modern cleaning tools. This is a terrific dental practice!

Fantastic experience: I moved to Richmond recently and was looking for a new dentist and hit the jackpot with Midgette Denistry! I just had my first appointment and Dr. Midgette and his entire staff were so welcoming and professional. Everyone took their time to explain things and I never felt rushed. They even me gave me a sweet card and lots of welcome goodies. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better experience on my first appointment in my life and find it funny that I’m actually looking forward to going back to the dentist! Haha!

Positive experience: My wife has been going here for years and has had a generally good experience with the staff. We recently moved away 1 town over and had an incident where our dog chewed up one of my wife's retainers. It hasn't even been a week since the incident happened and this office will not ship out a new retainer without making her come all the way to Richmond(about 1.5 hours) to do a re-scan even if we accepted the liability for the new trays not fitting. This policy is incredibly dumb as last year my wife left her retainers by accident while on vacation and was without them for a over a month until the car rental company sent them to us and she had no issues with them fitting and keeping her teeth straight, so now we need to make an appointment with another dentist office to do a re-scan that she doesn't need which means that my wife will be without her trays for even longer when they have a perfectly good scan of a retainer that they could send off to be processed. What a waste!

Fantastic experience: Having difficulties to find a dentist in France, I finally quit my job and came back to the States (after 12 years in France). Dr Midgette took me right back as a patient : On the first appointment, he took X-rays and gave me an evaluation on the work to be done: Everything was well explained and very detailed. He “fixed” everything that same week. While he works, he is always very gentle and explains everything he is about to do. The office is such a peaceful place: quiet and you can tell the team is working well together. When you see everyone with smiles and caring, you know you have found the best dentist ! Oh… and I drive from Virginia Beach to Richmond: this is how much I trust and like Dr Midgette’s team! This is really a safe and professional place to go to. You can go there with your eyes closed.

Fantastic experience: Ive recently moved to VA. I have an implant that fell out over the weekend. Dr Midgett’s staff was welcoming and reassuring that I would get my missing front tooth repaired quickly. I feel lucky that I’m feeling comfortable with my move and my dentist.

He is such a wonderful professional I drive two hours each way to see him. I know I'll receive the most comprehensive and highest standard of care. Another huge shout out to Heather who cleaned my teeth with the utmost of care for my sensitivity. During the cleaning we BOTH forgot about my sensitivity; that's how gentle she was! I had a long hiatus from going to any dentist based on a horrible experience at another practice in Richmond (trying to push treatment, unnecessary surgery etc.) Since making the switch in 2020, this practice has been a perfect fit. Through COVID they were amazing and open and honest throughout the changing of the medical landscape while still providing excellent and safe care. They are always flexible, professional, friendly, and every appointment is timely but not rushed. Would recommend everybody that is looking for a new dentist to give this practice a try!

Fantastic experience: I had my dental cleaning and exam this afternoon at Midgette Dentistry and I have nothing but great things to say about my hygienist, Channing, and my dentist, Dr. Brian Midgette! Channing was gentle and thorough as she cleaned my teeth. Dr. Midgette has been my dentist for over 25 years and he is excellent. If you are looking for a dentist, this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit with Midgette Dentistry and it was a great experience that started the moment I called to make an appointment. I was fully anticipating an appointment for a future date but I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to see me same day. The office was nicely decorated, smelled amazing and had an overall relaxing vibe. All of the staff were very nice and friendly. I saw Olga and Dr. Midgette. Olga was comforting and reassuring. Dr. Midgette explained his findings and the next steps for treatment. I appreciate that everthing was explained clearly and I was able to understand and know what's ahead. While I'm not thrilled about my upcoming dental work, I look forward to working with the team to get everything resolved.

Fantastic experience: I arrived at the office at 11:00 am and was seen at noon. The service was excellent. A thorough exam was done and oral surgery was scheduled with an orthodontist for a medically necessary immediate implant. Recommendations were made according to priority. His office image is impeccable, staff acts as if they have known you for a lifetime and puts the patient at ease. Dr. Midgette is wonderful and ensures that the patient obtains the best of care. Everyone is highly professional and take their jobs seriously.

Negative experience: The clinic is clean, appointments are easy to make and the staff is courteous. the owner/ doctor changed last year it’s not Dr Gardener anymore. On my last visit for a dental check up. The Dr insisted I needed a crown to protect my tooth from decay (I didn’t have any issue with the tooth). I placed the crown and for 3 months now I cannot eat cold nor can I eat hard food. I returned to the Dr’s office. He did some adjustments but no change in the pain. He said the only solution is to do a root canal. And he doesn’t do it. He will ask another doctor to do it. In addition, the billing staff keep making mistakes. My family went to the office 6 times and each time there is a mistake. They say we only give you an estimate for the service on the day of service.

Fantastic experience: Highly professional and friendly staff. Clean and organized office. I had cleaning and a dental exam, I few questions about the process and they explained every thing to me with clarity and patience. They even have me a little goodie bag after my cleaning. Fantastic experience: I've seen Dr Gardner for appx 45 yrs, almost my entire life. So i trust him explicitly. When I came in for my cleaning appt I saw Dr Midgette for the second time. He was just as great as last year!!! He was personable and funny which reminded me of Dr. Gardner. Negative experience: Very disappointing. I had a stroke July 19, 2022. I actually called the office from the hospital to change my appointment to six weeks later, September 7, 2022. When I arrived, it was then they asked for the cardiologist and neurologist phone numbers to get clearance for semi annual my teeth cleaning. They didn’t clean the teeth or examine me after I arranged for transportation to the dentist office 28 miles (round trip) away. They asked if I could come back later in the day in the hope they would have heard from a specialist. Now I’m waiting to see if they billed my insurance for this NON visit, per the advice of the insurance company. This will determine whether I now have to file a claim against them. A horrible experience!

Negative experience: I went here because I was interested in getting the Chao pinhole gum surgery. It’s a very specific technique that a dentist or periodontist has to be trained and certified on. Many don’t have this certification. Dr. Alice was the only one at this place that had this certification. I called on a Tuesday morning and they got me an appointment for that Friday morning. I specifically told the person over the phone that I was only interested in this pinhole surgery. I get to my appointment that Friday where they were running about a half hour behind. Finally, Dr. Alice sees me and after looking at my gums for a couple of minutes, she brings in the periodontist, and tells me that she is leaving this dental practice to start her own practice. They then tell me that no one else is certified to do this procedure and then they went into other options. These other options I had already done so I wasn’t interested. They weren’t necessary. I wish that when I made my appointment, they would have told me that this doctor was leaving the practice. I never would have made my appointment had I known that. So basically, it was a waste of time, energy, and money. I’m very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful office! The staff is welcoming and very kind. Dr. Alice is so sweet and my hygienist Channing was very gentle and educational.

Fantastic experience: There for my 6 month checkup and met Kristen the new hygienist. She did an awesome job. Great to see the continued success of this practice. Have been a patient since 1975.
