Fantastic experience: Mr. Han was an absolute blessing to my husband today who’s also battling cancer and needed an emergency extraction. He actually came in on his day off last minute and performed this procedure for him and we couldn’t be more grateful! Dr. Han and his assistant were very warm and welcoming! Negative experience: Dr Han is a nice and competent dentist. I was presented with a nearly $900 bill after being a patient for over a year. It was blamed on the former office manager. I found it incredibly unprofessional to throw this person entirely under the bus while also demanding I pay this insane sum. I ended up making a payment plan that I immediately regretted. I should have instead had them bill my insurance again and go about my business. I will never return and will tell my friends and family the same.

Fantastic experience: I did not have a dentist in Richmond when, on a Sunday night, a bridge came loose from its moorings. My wife has been going to Dr. Han for years and called to get me in on Monday morning. Although they were fully booked, they graciously saw me that day. Everyone was very polite and professional and kept apologizing for my wait time even though I didn't have a scheduled appointment. I was very impressed with the way I was treated and am glad to say that I now have a dentist in Richmond.

Fantastic experience: Caring, compassionate, focused on making every visit pleasant.......yep...... I am describing a dentist and his staff. Dr.Han and his team take the fear out of going to the dentist. His knowledgeable and specifically designed solutions for me and my husband provide us with the comfort of knowing that our health is greatly benefited while creating an atmosphere of actually wanting to go to the dentist. Dr. Han’s recommendation for an alternative to the sleep apnea machine that my husband used to use has been the best solution to prevent his snoring but also provides a happier sleep because there is no machine anymore I personally had the whitening done on my teeth and happily enjoy smiling more than ever. I just cannot express enough wonderful experiences that we have had. He and his team actually create a desire to want to go to the dentist and we are grateful for that.

Fantastic experience: I visit Dr. Han on a regular basis because I trust his knowledge and skills and I trust him to make each visit a positive experience. He has excellent credentials and I know he keeps up-to-date on the latest technologies and services. And I appreciate that Dr. Han uses the latest technology and tools in dentistry. Why is that important to me? I spent my professional life in healthcare quality and risk and so I understand that modern techniques and equipment improve diagnosis, treatment and recovery and they help ensure the highest quality care. And I like that he explains procedures to me, answers questions - sometimes lots of questions- and, gives me options that allow me to make decisions that fit my needs and my budget. Dr. Han not only has excellent skills but his warmth and calm manner, as well as the availability of sedation, when I need it, help make each procedure a calm and painless experience. I recently decided to have porcelain veneers and crowns applied to most of my teeth. I'm glad I had Dr. Han do this rather than going to one of the larger discount store-type dental practices because veneers and crowns are costly and you don't want to end up with an out-of-the-box smile that looks artificial and doesn't really meet your needs. Dr. Han worked with me to help me select a custom color and to understand and make decisions about other custom adjustments possible with veneers to enhance the appearance of my teeth and improve my smile. And, he made sure I was relaxed and comfortable throughout the procedures. Thanks to Dr. Han, I now have a smile with bright, well-shaped and natural looking teeth that make me look and feel younger. And who doesn't want to look younger? I can't finish without saying that Dr. Han's staff from the administrative staff to the hygienists are every bit as wonderful as he. Whether its navigating the mysterious web of insurance reimbursement or helping me improve my dental hygiene, they are great. Negative experience: My first time as a new patient at this office, service was horrible. I wasn’t greeted and I was scheduled when everyone was on break. Not to mention the dentist himself rushed me out the chair without any treatment and no answers for anything. As we talked, his main focus was getting to his other patients and saying he didn’t have time to help me. He didn’t explain what was on the X-ray. I had no idea of what I was looking at. I do not recommend this Dentist office to anyone. I was forced to give them 1 star. They don’t deserve any.

Negative experience: This is the worst experience I have had with a visit to the dentist. if you cannot pull a wisdom tooth do not attempt send your client to a surgeon. My cheeks and gums are butchered. Thankfully Dr.Padgett at Richmond oral and cosmetic removed my tooth in less then 15 minutes. Do not put yourself in this type of pain unless you are into torture. Fantastic experience: I was in desperate need of some pain relief when I ran across Dr.Han. I had been up all night due to my tooth bothering me. He got me right with same day service when my reg dentist didn't have any openings. Everyone was so helpful and friendly im so appreciative.

Melissa the hygienist is one of the best hygienist you could ever meet, I got my teeth cleaned with her and let me tell you what a great Service . She took her time I never feel rushed with them at all. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Staff at this office were amazing, I had an emergency dental appointment was able to be seen the same day, the staff was polite, friendly, and welcoming they even gave me a tour of the office where I was going to be seen. When it came down to the exam I was offer a dental plan and given options, and lastly the price was affordable since I was paying out of pocket. I can truly say I have found my dental provider.

Negative experience: Mr. Han is a good dentist but he was so unprofessional towards one of his staff. He told her that he didn’t like the way she was standing right in front of me. How could you be so unprofessional? I’m appalled and I hope that his employees learn to stand up for themselves because no one deserves to be treated sh!tty!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: First of all, let me say that everyone in this building was absolutely amazing. I had a dental emergency and couldn't get ahold of anyone to see me today. I googled emergency dentist and this practice pulled up. I called and the receptionist set me up for a same day appointment. She was very helpful and friendly. I got there and almost immediately went back. I have extreme anxiety, I absolutely hate going to the dentist. Every single one of the assistants and Dr Han were so encouraging and helped to calm my nerves. I couldn't have had a better experience. They were just unbelievably nice, down to earth and genuinely kind. I left there with my tooth fixed and my anxiety decreased. I will definitely be going back and bringing the family to this practice. Not only were they friendly, caring and genuine but the office was clean and relaxing. I highly recommend this practice, Especially if you have anxiety or fears of the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Han is the kindest, most compassionate dentist. I have high dental anxiety, and had let many issues go unattended. He and my hygienist Ashley are patient, friendly, and non-judgmental. I’ve needed significant work done, and they’ve been fantastic every step of the way. I appreciate the broad range of pain and anxiety management (I’ve tried a little of everything to find the right combo). They are thoughtful in the little details too- a blanket when I was cold and nervous, and a protein drink after a particularly long procedure. I still don’t love the dentist, but I do love Dr. Han and his staff!

Fantastic experience: J Han Dental has been doing an excellent job since I began seeing them earlier this year! They have been with me every step of the way and explained every part of the treatment process to me as well as the bill, for those who made have a difficult time understanding these things (lol). All the staff has been great any questions I had while not in the office was promptly scheduled and taken look at often the same day if not the day after. Could not reccomend anyone better . Reviews and the service should spean for itself . And special props to Laura, consistently, al looking out making sure i get the proper information on billing treatment etc. If you need to see a dentist this is the one!

Fantastic experience: Dr Han along with all his staff are really easy to talk to, knowledgeable, friendly, and truly have your best interests at heart. They do their work with professionalism while accommodating the needs or wants of patients. I have never been in another place of business where I was treated so well. Dr Han tells you the truth and doesn’t sugarcoat it and takes the best course of action with your benefit as the number one priority. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a dentist especially anyone who has had bad experiences before or think of their teeth as a lost cause.

Negative experience: I went to Dr. Han with an open mind and Faith that I was in good hands. However, I left the chair with a big hole in the side of my tooth “which later I found out that the nerve of the tooth was exposed”. He proceeded to tell me that it was always there. “This hole happened after he went poking around that particular tooth. He was very defenses when I asked him about it. After getting a second opinion from a different dentist office, it was told to me that my tooth was soft in that area due to it having a cavity and could have easy cracked if poked. If Dr. Han would have told me this instead of trying to aggressively convince me that the hole was always there, which it wasn’t, I would’ve received that better and trusted him.

Negative experience: The front desk staff is really great but we had a bad experience with the dentist here. He took over a holistic practice and his website claims to be the same but he is not. In fact, when we brought up something claimed on the site, he contradicted it and said it was not true. If you're looking for a holistic dentist who is conservative with treatment (ie: does not overtreat or rush into treatment), go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing facility. I felt welcome from the moment I stepped across the door. The office set up is warm and inviting. It has been beautifully designed from the paintings on the wall to the marble chest pieces sitting on the table. Every employee was knowledgeable and very welcoming. I was given a tour upon being called back for my appointment. The Doctor was amazing, and most importantly he was knowledgeable about his craft. I would and have absolutely recommended this office to others.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today and 2 weeks ago and I am excited about Dr Han and Dee his assistant professional manner . I would highly recommend this practice, been going there over 20 years to Dr Pranee White when she was the owner, but she has left me in good hands, gentle dentistry is the key, and that is what they provide and excellent work.

Fantastic experience: Always have the best experience with Dr. Han and Dr. White. Prompt, professional service with a smile; and they truly CARE. (corny, but true...and what else would you want in a dentist?) Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: No one wants serious work happening inside their mouth... but the Adult in me, knew I needed to get this long procrastination resolved. Cant say there wasn’t any pain... but my imagination had it at 8+ (moments before the procedure began). When it was all over, the dastardly deed done... the reality was more like a 1.3. And that is all about technique and skill. It was complicated. More time spent than expected. But I had veterans at my side throughout the entire event window. I felt safe. I miss that wisdom tooth and so too his three remaining brethren. That I also know the names of his fellow team (hi Melissa, hi Laura) is because they too have been delightful and who doesn’t want to remember the names of those who helped make your day more bright. More shiny.

Positive experience: Pros: The office was extremely clean and very beautifully set up. The staff, dental assistance and the dentist has amazing bed side manner. I could not have been more pleased. Cons: We were told there was a "free consultation" which was very misleading. I had to pay $250 to get an Xray and be told nothing they can do for me and I have to go to an oral surgeon. Had I of known that I would have gone elsewhere as there are many dentists that include xrays in your free consultation. Mind you this is uninsured, I cant speak for what it would cost insured. As long as you don't mind spending the money on Xrays then I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I've known Doctor Han personally for some time, but only went to him recently due to COVID-related scheduling issues with my other dentist. Dr. Han noticed a chip in my front tooth, and in the space of about 3 minutes showed me how it would look if he fixed it. Holy cow. Take the time to give him a call. Plus, he's an easy guy to chat with who will give you the straight story on your teeth.

Everything was super smooth - I was really impressed by the team and the office. It was the first time I felt relaxed with a dentist after years of struggling to find someone I could trust. Fantastic experience: Always a friendly greeting here. Staff are professional and well equipped to operate safely in this pandemic. Laura did her utmost to work out lower payments for me vs my insurance payouts. Ashley is such a friendly and personable technician, even seeing me when the office was closed. It was to replace a temporary crown of mine that was beginning to loosen, but showed their true commitment. Dr Han took the extra time to carefully remove my broken tooth so as not to damage my jawbone, meaning I didn't require a bone graft. I was glad to be in such professional and friendly care for my bridge procedure. I would thoroughly recommend this practice.

By default I came to the office just because we didn’t feel like switching to someplace closer to our home in Glen Allen. What a totally amazing surprise in this entire experience! Wow! I came in to see Dr. Han and his staff for a deep cleaning and a root canal and crown. The office is beautiful, the staff are the most friendly people on the planet, and the experience was just completely different from any other I've ever had in a dental office. If you like modern equipment, Netflix/Hulu on demand while you’re in your chair (they have awesome taste in tv btw), Down-to-Earth staff, great conversations, and the best numbing perfectionist I’ve ever met- GO SEE DR. HAN! Oh, P.S. His kids bake the most ridiculous chocolate cookies that he keeps in the front checkout. Seriously, Goodie Bags and awesome teeth to chew them with! Thanks Dr. Han!
