Negative experience: Today was the second half of my deep cleaning... regular hygentist was not there...not pleased with the one filling in for her. Did not review the chart to see what service I was to receive. Not sure of her duties or where items were and had to keep stopping to ask other staff for whereabouts of supplies. Not gentle with service of cleaning!!.maybe more training needed when filling in for another hygentist. Be familiar with each procedure before patient comes for appointment.

Fantastic experience: Semi new in town and needed a dentist for emergency work. Was able to get an appointment with someone who took my insurance. (Victory) Quick appointment just after holidays. So happy I got that. Very nice people running the office and the assistants were all also very kind. You could tell they liked working with each other. I’m about halfway done with a couple procedures (extraction) and it went so smoothly. Highly reccomend.

Fantastic experience: I really like going to GE. The staff is really nice. The hygienist are thorough and they always convey what they are doing or need to do. They also try to get everything accomplished in ONE visit and not make you come back over and over! They are also fast but it doesn’t feel like you are being rushed! Still GREAT TODAY -12/08/2025 I am not sure how my same review pops up but on 11/27/24 I had another great experience and the hygienist Andre was great and had a great personality. His assistant today was super sweet and lovely to talk to. I highly recommended this dental office!

Fantastic experience: For me to be a first time patient and have anxiety...I have found my dental home. The nurses were outstanding!(I had a crying moment and they made me feel comfortable and safe.) Dr. Smith was excellent.

Fantastic experience: Today's visit was a modification of an appointment made a few weeks ago because over the weekend I "broke" another tooth. Dr. Smith determined that a filling had come loose and replaced it. I really like Great Expressions Dental. They are friendly, courteous and do great work. The staff has also been very helpful with my insurance policies to save me the most (i.e. least out of pocket cost to me).

Fantastic experience: I went for my cleaning and saw Ajita . She is very personable and friendly, always smiles, but is also is very good at making it painless. It is always a very good experience with her as the hygienist. My only complaint, though not with her, is that we always seem to need to double-check what we are being billed with what our plan pays since it's had to be changed a few times. As long as we try to be careful with that, this is an excellent place to go since the dentist, Dr Brian Smith, is excellent and painless, and the dental hygienist we see is really great.

Fantastic experience: This was my first appointment after some years of bad experience with another dentist office, I can say that they treated me with kindness and compassion. Negative experience: Friendly staff I think it would be my first and last time. I understand everyone needs training but I spent 2 hours at this office while a student was doing X-rays for literally my whole appt time. Then they did a cleaning and I agreed to let them once I was finished I was last client they told me to sit outside because it’s lunch time they can’t allow anyone to sit in lobby. Meanwhile I was dropped off by my coworker. My thing is if they didn’t have me there for two hours of X-rays I could have been left and not been waiting outside in the heat. That part unprofessional!

Negative experience: The dental office change dentists, a lot of miscommunication between dental staff and office staff, lady who files insurance made me cry by telling me “she couldn’t understand why everyone else who came up there had to pay but I didn’t”, even though she was wrong and correct by dental staff/dentist, the biggest and most chronic issues were with the lab used by this office . The lab they send repairs to has yet to repair the issues I had from February to June of 2025. The ladies who are dental assistants were very kind and I hate that they have to work in that environment and with that particular insurance office lady.

Fantastic experience: Linda and Kristin were very helpful with all my insurance questions and appointment scheduling. They were courteous and polite, a real asset to the business. The hygienist and dentist were very gentle and thorough too.

Fantastic experience: I was new to Savannah, and someone recommended Great Expressions Dental. From day one, the service has been great! Every time I've been here, Christi and Linda have welcomed me in and treated me like family. I love that personal touch ... I know I'm not just a customer number. Additionally, they helped me navigate my insurance benefits to help ensure I maximize my dental care needed to maintain my health and keep costs down. The hygienist and dentists have been great as well. Never had any issues, they had an easy touch when they worked, always friendly, and answered any questions and gave explanations if there was something to improve. I highly recommend trying out Great Expressions Dental if your looking for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: At great expression they have a great staff Miss Christie and Linda they both were very helpful and understanding of what I needed as a patient especially my insurance. oh that Dr Smith is so friendly.

Negative experience: Edit: I'm pretty sure they cracked my tooth but will never admit it. I'm in constant pain and no longer have the insurance to fix it. I'm considering legal action at this point. I went to this dentist's office a bit ago for fillings and have had trouble with a few of those teeth ever since. It is painful to even chew. They never stopped hurting even after the procedure. I thought the pain was normal at first. I called and was told they would charge me for whatever was wrong with my teeth. I'VE ALREADY PAID ONCE TO HAVE THEM FIXED! Something isn't right here. I really am wondering if they are scamming people. I have more pain now than before they did anything. The "hospitality" (or lack thereof) has shown my family that it's time to find a new dentist. They will also lie and tell you the most expensive option is your only option. When sales are more important to a business than your well-being, run. Side note: the receptionist is AWFUL! She is very rude. I have heard her talk badly about customers, badly to customers, and treats everyone like a problem. I'm not sure why they keep her, nearly anyone can sit all day and work a computer.

Fantastic experience: On Tuesday, 5/27/2025, I experienced pain in one of my molars during dinner. I called Great Expressions Dental Center, Savannah Oak Park Location and was able to get an appointment on Monday, 6/2/2025. I went for my appointment and was X-rayed and examined by Dr. Brian Smith. We discussed my options and I made an appointment to have some dental work done. Dr. Smith phone in a prescription for me for some antibiotics. My appointment was satisfactory and I enjoyed my visit. The Staff, as always, was wonderful, professional, friendly and very helpful. Thanks Great Expressions. See you!!!!! I always have a wonderful visit at Great Expressions Dental. Dr. Brian Smith and his Staff are AWESOME!!! They are friendly, professional and very courteous. My most recent visit was today, 03/11/2025, and as usual it was great!!! Fantastic experience: I’ve never seen anything like this before, what an amazing Dental Office. Everyone is so polite and kind. The dental hygienist was simply amazing yes She was amazing.

Mrs. Linda made an effort to explain in detail the procedures to follow for the oral treatment. Fantastic experience: While staffing has changed from last year, the current team is very friendly and welcoming. The waiting area was clean and well-maintained. All procedures were clearly explained beforehand, and the cost of my next appointment was disclosed prior to scheduling, which I found to be a valuable service.

Fantastic experience: Ms. Christa and Ms. Linda were absolutely wonderful. I had called panicked about a cavity that I had spotted and they were able to work me in for a same day appointment. Additionally, I was at home with my 4 month old and they offered to watch him at the counter while I had my teeth cleaned. It was incredibly kind of them and they must have made my son happy as I didn’t hear any cries. When I finished up he was happy and smiling at the front desk. Post Note: But they are happy to sell you the discount insurance that only works at their location. That’s how they were able to stump the insurance agent that sells everybody’s product, they came up with their own! “You didn’t have to pay for this”, (because you already paid for that and more!)

Positive experience: I had my first visit there and I have to say I was extremely satisfied overall. However, the lack of information provided to me regarding a potential serious issue that I have was rather disheartening, leaving me very upset regarding the potential outcome of the situation.

Negative experience: Staff is rude. They only got one dental hygienist. They make up all kinds of ways to charge you for treatment that should be free. Before you ask I'm going to do everything I can to bring this low level dental office to light. They had a hygienist who worked for the office who done a TERRIBLE job with my annual cleaning which lead to tater build up. It has taken almost 6 months for them to fix the issue.Their a rip off and service is terrible. If I could give them a negative 5 I would. Went in today for cleaning dental hygienist spilled something on my lip and now I have blisters. I wouldn't recommend this dentist office to no one. If you have been treated by them in the last year I suggest you get a second opinion and seek legal counsel

Fantastic experience: My appointment was for a crown to be re cemented today by Dr. Smith. The staff was very professional, friendly and pleasant. Ms. Linda was checking clients in and out. Answering the phones, making appointments and answering questions, by herself. Christie was out of the office today. A young lady from the back came and gave her some assistance. Fantastic experience: Today was my new patient appointment. The entire staff was exceptional. Even when mishaps occurred (printer errors, appointment mixups, etc.), everyone was still kind, respectful, and professional toward one another and the customers. Dr. Smith is the sweetest. He addressed every concern and explained his insight and referrals so plainly. The dental assistant (I believe that’s her role, but she took all my teeth X-ray’s) made me feel very comfortable and very well taken care of. The lady up front did a great job explaining my treatment plan, dental insurance, out of pocket cost, and everything in between. She assured me they would get my work done at my earliest convenience and do all of what they can in a single appointment. I feel hopeful and grateful to finally be getting back to a healthy mouth. As my hygienist said, “Your teeth are sick. Let’s get them better.” I’m ready.

Fantastic experience: For 30 years I was in and out of dentists offices, only to never return. I never felt that any dentist office could calm the fears I’ve had. Were they going to hit a nerve, drill to deep, not numb enough.. that is all I thought. Here me now…. Great Expressions has changed my opinion (not really…. Still don’t trust dentists, but I will trust the staff at Great Expressions).. If you are like me, and have feared all things dental.. don’t worry about this place. They got you..kind, caring and compassionate.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for years. The front desk has always been super nice and take the time to go through everything to ensure I understand the insurance portion and out of pocket. I also have had 2 root canals done with dr. Smith that I went well. The new hygienist is super sweet and I think she goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable with calming music and I love the Vaseline on my lips so they don’t get so dry.

Fantastic experience: I’m an existing patient. Always great customer service. I had a tooth extracted where part of it was already cracked but it was causing me a lot of pain. They numbed me up really good. I could only feel the dentist pulling the tooth but no pain. They gave me thorough instructions on after care which helped speed up my healing process.

Positive experience: This is the.mist impersonal dental office I have ever experienced. Nobody introduces themselves, including the.actual dentist, who came into the room, stood behind me most of the time, did her exam and left without saying her name, standing to the front of me to welcome me, etc. That said, the actual dental procedures and care seem adequate and complete. The entire staff, while failing to introduce themselves, were polite and attempted to be friendly. I just find it to be a somewhat odd environment.

The doctor and dental techs have been personable, professional, and skilled at their jobs. All of my questions were answered and all of my concerns were addressed. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: All went well for the most part. The staff is pleasant. The billing was not. I always paid in. But after a so called audit on my account I ended up owing $500. And to make it even worse is that the audit billed me almost exactly what I was disputing. Because I'd already paid for the partial and was only going back for adjustments. Nothing else!!! At first they tried to rebill me for the partials. When that didnt work they did an "audit". Very disappointed.
