Fantastic experience: Basically this was just a check up. But, as in the past visits, the Staff are all Very Careing and Professional people. My lower plate had gotten very hard to remove. They remove and loosen the wires a bit. The x-rays showed I will need some additional work in the future. I will return for the Great Staff to work on my mouth. To the Staff - THANK YOU !!!

Negative experience: I made appointments for myself and my husband over a month ago with HFD. I confirmed every text requesting I type C to confirm by sending a C reply. I CONFIRMED MY APPTS. 3 SEPARATE TIMES FFS! Today I called to ask a question and I was told that I was taken off the schedule because I didn't confirm the $100 copay text they sent me this morning! at 9:59 am!!! I called at 1:45 pm and was told that I was taken off the schedule because I didn't confirm the copay. So, now I'm stuck looking for a new dentist because this one doesn't know how to schedule and confirm appointments!

Negative experience: Must be short staffed. Front desk will not answer the phone

Negative experience: Not good. I was kept waiting for 45 minutes re: paperwork, then got into dental chair, another wait, about 20 minutes—then—the dentist came in to me, but left and went into another office for an hour, leaving me alone in the chair !!! When she returned she told me that she was talking with the manager, at the manager’s request. Totally unprofessional of the manager and I’m sure very discomforting for the dentist, who was quite nice. (I hope she relocated to another practice because I think she may have been quite good). No procedure because procedure not done in their office. …partial tooth loss..later mi I was able to get into my regular dentist and—without the surgical referral recommended—he fixed the problem in his usual professional way. It really was sad, managerial, not the dentist who was quite nice, as I said, and I trusted her care, if she had been able to give it to me! No nitrous, so if you’re uncomfortable in the dental chair like I am, it’s not offered there. Again, not good at all.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this dentist which has multiple locations locally for over 10 years and never had any problems what few problems I may have had they've been very attentive and accomplished Reckoning these issues with me quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anybody who wants a Brighter Smile LOL the staff is always friendly and courteous and professional, and more importantly they do have a couple of offices locally that take VA benefits this is really nice and helps veterans. Definitely one of the better dentist and dental families in the area to include Chatham County in the surrounding areas.

Fantastic experience: Love this dentist. Quick and to the point and everyone is friendly. We moved here from Chicago where they don't even offer teeth cleaning anymore, instead they diagnose you with needing a "deep cleaning" that insurance doesn't pay for. Going to the dentist is simple and easy again and these folks are excellent with kids.

Fantastic experience: Good staff, I got my teeth cleaned here and I didn’t catch her name but a mid 30s Chinese woman was my hygienist and she did a great job. I’ve never liked going to the dentist, I felt my care was prioritized here instead of my wallet

Negative experience: I’m quite disappointed in this office. I just received a text confirming an appointment for November 7th. The issue is 6 months ago when I made the appointment, it was to be at 7 am. The confirmation text has the appointment at 1:20 pm. I called the office and per staff, they cannot accommodate me until APRIL 2025. One call informing me about the time change with an opportunity to schedule an appointment in a week or so would have been sufficient. This is totally unacceptable!!!

Negative experience: Update: I see they invited me to call the office to discuss my review. No need. I discussed the ill fitted crown Dr. Julie Howard installed on two subsequent dental visits. The gap between the crown and next tooth was too big. Food packed it solid and even went beneath my gumline. Often during meals the pressure packed food put on my gums was painful enough I had to leave to floss it out. I struggled flossing because the food was packed in so dense. I often injured my gums trying to remove it. Dr. Stevens was not very interested and said the crown was fine both times I asked for help. Time for a new doctor. Dr Gladden looked and right away saw the gap and wounds on my gums. He took several photos of the problem and sent them to my insurance company. Although the crown was only one year old, they acknowledged it was not properly fitted and covered the cost for a replacement crown. Dr. Gladden uses digital scanning technology to replace crowns. My new crown was perfectly formed and fitted and I am very happy I finally found a wonderful dentist.

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin? Everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienists and doctors were INCREDIBLE. my hygienist was Alicia who was so kind and gentle. I have dental anxiety and she made me feel assured in everything she was doing. I was in and out in little to no time! Dr.Emily sasser was extremely professional and was able to get me set up with an easy treatment plan. The front desk staff were so accommodating and helpful with my paperwork and check out process. Y’all are the best!!

Negative experience: My husband had a good experience here with an emergency service and we have referred several other patients from my husband's company. However, that will end. I contacted Savannah today for an appointment for my daughter. It was an emergency appointment after having seen urgent care last night. They told me they could get her in "whenever she could get there." He specifically said, "we will see you at 11.....and did not complete his sentence and then said, well whenever you can get here." They asked if she could leave right away and she did. She arrived in 45 minutes, the distance from our house. When she arrived, they said they would no longer see her because she was "late." She even spoke to the receptionist on the way to let them know that she was in construction traffic but still on the way. When I called back to speak to the office manager, he refused to let me speak to them and hung up on me. In addition to this experience, I tried both Beaufort and Bluffton for cleanings. I was open to any time this year, but they would only do it in 2 sessions. No one has time to book 2 sessions for a simple annual cleaning.

Negative experience: Updating my original review. After not doing my cleaning on my first visit (despite rebooking specifically to include that) they then knowingly booked my cleaning when I wasn’t available. When I reconfirmed I wasn’t available, the response was “ok I’ll just cancel it then.” And didn’t even try to find another appointment until I asked. They then offered something another 3 months out. When I complained about the whole situation they MAGICALLY found something only TWO months out. Wild way to handle customer service.

Positive experience: Communication was very frustrating. I rescheduled my first appointment as suggested by reception to ensure I would have a cleaning on my first visit, yet upon arrival I did not get a cleaning. “Because we don’t know your treatment plan ahead of time.” I’ve moved many times and started with new dentists many times, and this is the first time I didn’t get a cleaning on my first visit. They also didn’t bother checking my insurance until arrival. I will note that the hygienist and dentist were pleasant, quick and effective. But the overall communication was very frustrating and disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the area and had to find a good dentist. I was fortunate enough to come across this practice, and I must say, my experience has been fantastic. Jamie and Brittney were absolutely amazing! They were incredibly sweet, educational, and truly excel at what they do. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable throughout the entire visit and guided me with such care and professionalism. Positive experience: I have been going to Howard’ s Dental for over Twenty five years. Since Dr. Julie retired the practice seems different. I didn’t recognize any of staff , they were all new. I had a problem in July and was going to have surgery. I called in to see if I could see the Dentist. I was informed she was on vacation and see if she would call something in for me. I never received a return call. I ended up paying $425 at another Dental office. Howard Dental has several offices in Savannah. No excuse for this.

I’m new to the Savannah area, and it took a minute for me to find a dental office that accepted my dental insurance (Delta). My first appointment was Jan 2024. Today marked my fourth visit, finishing my treatment plan. My experience across the board has been positive. The Howard Family Dental staff have been an absolute pleasure over the phone and in person. The front desk staff are pleasant, thorough, and kind each appointment. The atmosphere is welcoming with a vibrant energy! I enjoy my side chats with the dental assistant(s) and dentist(s).
