Fantastic experience: Dr. Archer is probably one of the best dentists ive ever had and definitely the best dentist ive had in the past couple of years. He definitely knows what he is doing and made years of toothache disappear. He even adjusted my crown countless times until it felt comfortable enough for me. The care provided from Dr. Archer and the staff is top teir, they really seem to care and the place is very clean!!!

Negative experience: Did they fire the previous team when they switched? I was looking forward to my routine dental cleaning with Sandy and upon arrival nobody notified me it was a different hygienist. We received no notification or anything of the recent changes and it was quite disappointing. Previously it used to feel welcoming and friendly, but now i feel like just a number. Highly disappointed in the lack of transparency with their new team, I miss the old crew and how they treated us as patients.

Fantastic experience: Great dentist and great staff

Negative experience: Annapolis Smiles used to be a great dentist office that I was a customer of for many many years. Recently they changed hands, and the quality has changed dramatically. It used to be a clean and hygienic place, but the chairs and rooms looked filthy at my recent cleaning. All my favorite staff left, and now it is a shell of the place it once was. Bummed to be on the look out for another dentist.

Fantastic experience: I came in with a chipped tooth and as always, Dr. Archer and his great team took care of everything perfectly. I was a patient of Annapolis Smiles before Dr. Archer’s arrival. It was good then. It’s great now.

Fantastic experience: I felt very comfortable and we'll taken care of while having 3 small cavities filled recently.Dr. Archer is wonderful.

Negative experience: Had been going to this dentist for 20 years. Booked in for clean and check up. Completed some x rays, (which have turned out to be no use) and ran out of time for clean. Charged a lot for this visit. I have changed dentists.

Negative experience: Had a great experience here until they sent my husband to collections over a $40 bill we never even received . No phone call or anything. And then proceeded to cancel my entire families appointments with no notice when I had an upcoming one scheduled to take care of pain I’ve been having.

Fantastic experience: I’d like to thank the staff and the new dentist, dr Archer, for getting my son today for an emergency appointment. He returned home happy, and stated he felt comfortable and would return to them for further dental work.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Duane Archer is AWESOME! I called Annapolis Smiles because I was in immense pain from a rear molar. They got me in right away, and Dr. Archer did an emergency pulponomy followed by a root canal. Then the temp crown was too high and he came in after hours to fix it. His bedside manner is impeccable, he is focused, friendly, and extremely talented. I cannot recommend Dr. Archer enough. He is the BEST dentist I have ever had.

Fantastic experience: Just went to Annapolis Smiles for my bi annual check up/cleaning and met the new doctor. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the new doctor Dr. Duane Archer. He was so warm, welcoming and made me feel like he had been my dentist for years. Nidia was my hygienist. I was so excited to see that she had returned back to the office and she did an amazing job just like she had in the past. My teeth have never felt so clean. I’m so excited to tell my friends to go to this practice. You won’t regret it!!!

Negative experience: I had the worst cleaning experience I’ve ever had there and won’t be returning. They are understaffed and have just one hygienist and one dentist currently, with the dentist doing a lot of the cleanings. He was clearly much more accustomed to his patients being unconscious. It was very awkward to talk to him, he didn’t listen, it was very rough and the cleaning was messy (it was bloody, and water and saliva kept spilling onto me), and painful. Afterward the assistant said “oh yeah, he’s been getting a lot of complaints.” Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a dental cleaning and Nidia did the cleaning. I could not have gotten a better, more thorough cleaning than I did from Nidia. She explained what she was doing, gave me feedback on what she found, and better ways to keep my teeth and gums in great shape!! I have had other dental cleanings done by other hygienists, and no one beats the quality cleaning I recd from Nidia!! Thanks, Ann Hugel

Positive experience: There have been some changes at this office and things are too new for me to give a very thorough review. I do miss my old friends.My regular hygienist, Sandy, is on leave so I am looking forward to meeting Giselle. Dr. Frazier has left the practice. I just met Dr. Shahmoradi for the first time. He seemed pleasant and careful. I had chipped a crown and all that was necessary was smoothing the rough edges. The crown may break again but we will consider a replacement crown at that time.

Positive experience: Disappointed that Dr's Finley and Frazier have left practice. Dental assistant Gisele was rough in cleaning this time.

Fantastic experience: This is the dentist office you will want to chose after researching options and asking others for referrals. That’s what I did, choosing Annapolis Smiles as our family dentist despite living 20 miles away in Howard County, MD. It is an excellent dental practice, including the dentists and all staff. The entire team is caring and personable, it is easy to reach a live person by phone or to text to make appointments, and the dental services they provide are truly exceptional. It is hard to judge the quality of dental work you receive, but if you ask a dental specialty provider who sees lots of work by area dentists (e.g., an endodontist, periodontist, orthodontist, etc.) they will tell you that Annapolis Smiles is excellent, and they are correct!

Fantastic experience: Had my quarterly dental cleaning today with Christine. As always the entire staff was amazing. If you have any concerns with Covid-19, rest assured, Dr Finlay and associates has it all covered. I felt extremely safe. This office always goes above and beyond. I have been a practicing dentist for over 25 years. I am familiar with most practices in the Annapolis and surrounding areas. I choose to have my dental treatment at Dr Finlay and Associates for many reasons, but I will focus on a couple for review purposes. First of all, the quality of dentistry and costumer service is exceptional.This is true, not only relative to the Annapolis area, but the entire United States. Secondly, Dr. Finlay, Dr Anderson and the staff are amazing. They are so friendly and so efficient at what they do, it is a pleasure to watch them work....like a well oiled machine. I could go on, but simply said, 5 stars is not enough! Had my quarterly dental cleaning today with Christine. As always the entire staff was amazing. The front office staff scheduled all the necessary appointments even before the treatment began. Doctor Frazier gave me a painless shot (best shot ever) and then proceeded with the two fillings explaining every step she took. Now my treatment is complete and my teeth look and feel better than ever, I would recommend Annapolis Smiles and doctor Frazier to anybody looking for world class dentistry without hesitation.

When my front teeth grew in fused together as a child (leading to very challenging intertwined roots underneath and an odd appearance) no dentist could figure out how to save my teeth. Dr. Finlay’s practice put together a comprehensive multi stage treatment plan utilizing his expertise as well as the expertise of other dental specialists in the area. I’ve had really beautiful teeth now for over 25 years because of their care and I continue to get compliments on my smile every single week. The practice has excellent operating standards, runs on time, retains their team, is progressive with cosmetic and restorative treatments and serves as a teaching practice for newer dentists. Will never go anywhere else.
