Fantastic experience: My experience was great at BITE Dental! From the time I got there until I left, it was seamless. My dental hygienist, Maggie Gordon was great. I would definitely recommend her and BITE overall to friends and family.

They offer service in different languages, for example in Spanish.

Although I was a total stranger the dentist and her medical assistants were excellent I never had a sense of me and my medical emergency adding stress to the normal day for them. Fantastic experience: Outstanding experience. Everybody seemed competent and up to date on the latest techniques. Dr. Wagner is an outstanding dentist. What I particularly like was being kept up to date on what was going on. There were clear explanations before every procedure. I should mention that this visit was for a crown, my second by this group. They now make the crowns in house so it only requires one visit to the dentist. That’s double good because if there is a problem, they can fix it on the spot. My previous experiences for cleaning and diagnosis were just also good. Finally, I’m not sure where they get the technicians but every one has been excellent,

The fillings perfectly match my teeth now. After so many years of living with fillings that didn’t match on my front uppers. Changed my smile completely. So happy.

Fantastic experience: Bite Dental Center is one of the BEST Dental spots in the DMV. Dr C (Dentist) and Geneva (Hygienist) are both awesome and work as a great team! The two of them are very good with making you feel comfortable, fully informed, and always creates a warm-fun environment and amazing dental experience. Mary is also great and very diligent regarding any billing questions/issues. All around Grade “A” Dental Office!

Negative experience: Communication is AWFUL!!!! I have called in a total of 4 times asking to go over my $70,000 treatment plan, and I’ve had ZERO call backs in a course of a month! I will spend a lot of money elsewhere to fix my teeth. If you want personalized quality treatment for yourself this is NOT the place for you.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of BITE Dental Center, formerly West Annapolis Family Dentistry, for about six years. They recently got me a same day, emergency appointment. After their evaluation, they got me an appointment to see a specialist the very same day. The doctors and techs are terrific. You can tell they enjoy their work! And, I have to acknowledge Michelle. She’s always juggling calls, welcoming clients, and taking instructions from staff. On my recent emergency, she went the extra mile, extending kindness and calming my nerves while I resolved a hiccup with my employers’ insurance provider. Great team. Fantastic experience: I recently went to the beautiful office space of BITE for my 6- month cleaning and check-up. My hygienist was amazing! She worked quickly and efficiently and complimented me on keeping my teeth and gums healthy. Dr Wagner was thorough in completing my dental visit. Everything went smoothly!

Negative experience: The staff is friendly and professional but I do not enjoy the new facility or it's accommodations. It feels very impersonal and cold. The dentistry has lost its community appeal. Service options also seem pushed as if trying to meet a sales goal rather than a sincere service provided to its patrons.

Negative experience: Do not come here. This place charged my wife a ridiculous $30 fee for "Oral Hygiene Instructions" . Yeah ok. Like a grown adult does not know how to brush their teeth. Maybe for a 5 year old, such instructions may be warranted. Maybe. But either way, either for an adult for child -- a $30 charge? What a joke. So this place appears to be desperately collecting extra money any way they can. But they won't be getting another dime for me. That's for sure.

Now, I’m back sleeping with the wife without her kicking me in the middle of the night . The office is luxurious and the staff are all amazing. She spent over one hour with me and my dental insurance plan representative to look into the issue and correct it. She was very patient with me and professional with the insurance company. Fantastic experience: My family and I have been coming to this place for over 20 years because of the professionalism of the staff and Dr. C. We love Dr. C. I know she’ll eventually retire and we’ll miss her very much. We just hope that the place continues the tradition of professionalism and kindness as has been displayed by Dr. C. From what I’ve seen so far during this transition I think we’ll continue coming here to receive good care as we’ve been accustomed to over many years. My hygienist is superb and today I met Dr. Wagner who reminds me of Dr C. having a bubbly and personable character and most importantly she appears to care for her patients. Thank you for continuing to follow Dr. C’s footsteps.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had caps put on 5 molars over several years and they did a great job with them!

Negative experience: I went to BITE Dental Annapolis on August 4, 2025, specifically for botox injections for 20 years of teeth grinding. Instead, Dr. Rahman recommended an orthotic but required scans first. I paid about $500 for the scans and got them completed on the same day. Only after the scans was I told the orthotic would cost $8,000. Even with that shocking price, I was still interested, but explained at my August 25th follow-up that I'd need time to save up. In the meantime, I asked about the Botox again, or a regular mouthguard. Dr. Rahman said Laura would follow up with costs. That never happened. So I emailed Laura on September 18 and again on September 23. No reply. I called the office on September 25 and left her a message. No reply. I submitted a website chat request on September 26 asking someone to call me. Still no reply. This practice was not upfront about costs, seems focused only on selling $8,000 orthotics, and has shown zero interest in helping patients with alternatives--or even returning messages. I spent $500 for nothing, and I've completely lost confidence in this practice to help me.

Negative experience: If you value your time I do not recommend Bite Dental Center. Brought my daughter here for a cleaning. We arrived 5 mins early for my appointment, sat in the waiting room for about 10 mins before being brought to the back which was no problem. Once we got to the back it took a doctor an hour to see us. No urgency and no apology when she walked in. Did not do the cleaning only the comprehensive exam because of how slow they moved. This was unprofessional and a complete waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Thought I lost a filling and came into get it repaired. Instead it was determined I just had bad plaque buildup some of which had chipped off making it feel like I had a hole in my tooth. And instead of making me come back for a cleaning Dr. Wagner cleaned my teeth herself and then sent me on my way. This was over and above for a dentist. Now that’s customer service!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I found this office to be typical of a lot of the newer offices who deal with TMD issues. Despite my KNOWING my specific TMD issues (car accident related) and explaining I was only there to start the process for new night guard, that was not going to be possible in this office without a $400 CT scan and then they proceeded to give me a treatment plan that was $8,000. It is bad enough that as a TMD patient you end up in a tug of war between the medical and the dental insurance but when the offices also look to make money off of you it just is very disheartening and disappointing. I went back to my old school TMD guy and they got me in right away with no extra tests. It's good to know that some offices still truly care about what their patients can afford and what they're dealing with.

After so many years of compassionate care that included all forms of sedation I was devastated that I would not be able to find anyone to replace him. The minute I walked into the Bite practice and met Mary, I knew I had found the right place! And then, when I had my consulation with Dr Rahman and her assistant Taylor, I was finally able to relax. It is not an exaggeration to say that after months of worry, sleepless nights, and panic, I am once again able to feel confident about my dental care knowing that these wonderful people understand my special needs and are so caring! Fantastic experience: As a patient of West Annapolis Family Dentistry, it was pleasing to have my first appointment at their new location, now known as BITE Dental Center-Annapolis. The new offices maintain their standard of an appealing waiting room, offices, and the sincerity of the staff from checking in, the hygienists, dentists and the ease of checking out, making future appointments and methods of payment options. Their website is easy to access in updating your personal information, as is the text and email messages regarding your appointments while you are still checking out. They have set the bar high for other dental practices to achieve.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Rahman for some time and have had extensive work done. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Rahman and her staff. Dr. Rahman is knowledgeable, thorough, and sensitive to the needs of her patients. I feel lucky to be one of her patients.

Negative experience: I visited Bite Dental Center (formerly TMJ Annapolis) on April 22, 2025, seeking relief from chronic TMJ issues that have significantly impacted my quality of life. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment but was not seen until 20 minutes after my scheduled time. When I was finally brought back to the patient room, the assistant asked for TMJ-specific paperwork, which I explained I had never received. She left and returned with the forms for me to complete while seated in the dental chair. After filling them out, the doctor entered and provided a basic explanation of TMJ—information I was already familiar with—before stating I would receive a cost estimate. At no point during the visit did the doctor perform a physical examination or even ask me to open my mouth. The doctor spoke with me for approximately 10–15 minutes and then left. After another 10-minute wait, I was taken to the office manager, whom I believe identified herself as Diane. She presented me with a quote of $8,396.00 for an orthotic appliance and associated costs. When I expressed the need to review the cost, she informed me that the 60-minute consultation would cost $175. I explained that the face-to-face time was not 60 minutes and that I had spoken with my insurance company prior to the visit. They informed me that they covered the initial consultation and would need procedure codes to determine coverage for treatment. Diane explained that due to the recent name change from TMJ Annapolis to Bite Dental Center, the office was still in the process of being accepted by my insurer. She said she would submit the claim once they were officially in-network and that, if not accepted, the visit would be written off. Despite this, on May 14, 2025, I received a bill for $175. When I called to speak with Diane, I was told by Michelle at the front desk that Diane was no longer with the practice. I asked to speak with the current office manager, but after being placed on hold multiple times, I was told the manager was unavailable and would call me back. I never received a follow-up. Michelle acknowledged that there should not be an issue with insurance related to the office name change, which only added to the confusion and frustration. This experience was deeply disappointing. I left without any meaningful examination, guidance, or treatment plan—only a sales pitch and a $175 bill. I expected a professional evaluation for a serious medical issue, not a rushed visit followed by poor communication and an unexpected charge. I would strongly advise others to seek care elsewhere—where transparency, professionalism, and patient care are prioritized.

Fantastic experience: My brother and I and my mother who has since passed have been patients of Dr. Maria since the 80’s. I had issues of concern going on with my teeth and had called and Mary was able to fit me in. Dr. Maria is so caring and thorough and passionate in giving the best top care and explained what was going on and advised me on a proposed treatment. Karen her assistant is excellent and such an asset in assisting Dr. Maria and is as sweet as can be. Justine does a great job with our cleanings which is so important. Mary goes above and beyond whenever I have questions regarding insurance and billing and she certainly was a blessing today in answering some questions I had even though it was past quitting time. The reception area was very impressive and the receptionist was very accommodating. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Maria Colucciello and all of the staff at BITE are excellent. They are professional, caring and accommodating. The work is of the highest quality. The new offices are beautiful, functional with a good flow. I have to admit that I miss the Italian theme of the old office just a little bit.

Today Dr C and her dental assistant stayed way past quitting time to take care of an emergency issue I was having - on 1 days’ notice - and it’s not the first time. And their new offices are sleek and modern. Can’t recommend them enough.
