Fantastic experience: ​I had an amazing experience at Lakeshore Family Dental! The office is really clean and nice, and their customer service is truly exceptional. ​From the moment I walked in, John welcomed me and went completely above and beyond to help me out. Dr. Mark and her great assistant, Jenny, are incredibly professional, gentle, and genuinely care about their patients. They take the time to explain every detail so you feel completely comfortable. Fantastic experience: I've had a great experience here overall. My first visit was tougher than I expected because my nerves got the best of me. Once everyone realized I was nervous, they couldn't have been kinder. From the front desk to Dr. Linsham, his assistant Nina, and the hygienist, everyone has been patient, friendly, and understanding. During my recent exam, they explained everything they were doing as they went, which helped put me at ease. I was originally supposed to come back another day for my cleaning but they were able to fit it in right after my exam. I'm actually excited now to continue to keep up with my appointments now. I'm grateful to find a dentist I can stick with and one who is accommodating to dental anxiety. If you're someone who's anxious about dental visits or looking for a local dentist in general, I'd definitely 100% recommend this office.

My hygienist is awesome. This is the best dental office I have ever been to and believe me in my 71 years I’ve been to a lot of them! You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental experience I've ever had. From the moment I walked in I was treated as a person and not just a number. The staff was incredibly friendly, everyone was smiling and seemed honestly happy to be at work. I had the pleasure of being seen by Nina and Dr Zachary who made me feel Incredibly welcome. For the first time at the dentist I didn't feel ashamed of my teeth. Even at the end of everything when it was time to pay my bill and leave, I was met with incredible customer service by Mary. I wasn't pushed out the door in a "thanks for the money, byeee" kind of way, she actually took the time to explain the break down of everything while the whole time answering any and all questions I had. 10/10 experience from beginning to end and I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to family and friends

Fantastic experience: The best front office of any dentist I have seen. They are efficient, personable and they listen and get things right. The two hygienist I have had are the best and the dentist himself is great. The office seems to always run on time and they communicate when necessary. This is the dentist office I have been looking for since moving to the area (fourth dentist tried)!

Fantastic experience: I cracked a filling less than 24 hours before embarking on a trip out of the country. John accommodated my emergency and secured an appointment for me. Jenni worked efficiently to get X-rays and pics and took time to make sure I was comfortable. Dr Hong was amazing, per usual, and remedied the situation in a pain-free manner. So appreciative of the entire Lakeshore Family Dental practice!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time visiting, I called at 8:45 this morning with a cracked crown and major tooth pain and was in the office at 10 am. From the moment I called until I left the office laughing, I can tell you the entire team is wonderful. Everything is explained as you go along, my dentist Dr. Zachary and her assistant whose name I unfortunately cannot remember because we were chatting like old friends, explained the issue, made a plan, and had me all set in no time flat. I immediately felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. Absolutely wonderful. Even you, John Thank you! I will be back

Fantastic experience: My previous dentist retired and I have not needed dental work in many years. I had tooth pain that was getting worse and worse to the point I could barely eat and sleep. I called Lake Shore Family Dental as a new patient and they were able to get me in the SAME DAY. The entire staff there is very welcoming and I even got a "welcome aboard" gift, lol. Dr Zachary and Jenni figured out that I had a cracked tooth and exposed nerve, and they explained possible options to deal with it (short and long term). Dr Zachary was able to drill and fill the crack and get the tooth sealed up, which did its job and took away the pain. Dr Zachary and Jenni were both super friendly, professional, and they made the entire process easy. I highly recommend Lake Shore Family Dental. 10 stars if I could.

They were very accommodating and listened to any questions or concerns I had. They were also very friendly and personable. This was the best experience I’ve ever had getting dental work! Fantastic experience: Great first impressions starting with the appointment representative, John, the lady who checked me in, my hygienist Mariah, and Dr. Limsam; all were very thorough and helpful. The facility was clean and orderly and there was basically no extra waiting for anything. The billing and follow up appointment was done in a minute with a copy to take with me. Fantastic experience: I called yesterday to get an appointment for my son and daughter. The man who picked up (John) was able to get my daughter in THAT DAY! My son goes today. How amazing is that? Not only did they get them in quickly but the communication that John provided to me was above and beyond the call of duty. He was professional, polite and clear about how much we would owe and walked me through paperwork. I definitely gave him a lot of work that day but he did it with a great attitude and a smile on his face. My daughter loved that she got a welcome gift and excellent service. Her nerves were settled by the time the Dr. came by. Kara - our hygienist was great at providing us with information, answering questions and providing excellent clinical service. I'm so happy that they are now party of the Lake Shore Family Dental Family! John deserves a raise, acknowledgement and appreciation from this establishment; he represented them exactly how I would want someone to represent my business.

Fantastic experience: The best dentist office and service in the area. I’ve been to many offices, and this one is by far the best. John at the front desk takes care of every question and makes you feel right at home. My hygienist, Heather, was just as friendly and made the entire visit something to look forward to instead of something to worry about.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a polish and had the most wonderful time! From the moment I entered John at the front desk was a delight! This being my first ever visit, I was met with the nicest ribbon wrapped high quality water bottle. I met with the sweetest woman, Chris, who made me feel welcomed. Chris handled most of my visit and kept me updated with details every step of the way and made me laugh. I briefly met with Dr. Hon, who was hilarious and has great taste in film. After receiving smiles, laughs, and gifts I can easily say this was the best dental experience I've had, I'm excited for my next visit and wish everyone who has ever been scared of the dentist gets to work with people as wonderful as these, John alone could make you love the dentist. I walked out of there with pearly whites and a genuine smile.

Fantastic experience: This is the absolute best dental office I have been to. Every staff person that I encountered was truly wonderful and welcomed you immediately. They even provided me with a grand tour of the building. After my visit, I left with confidence knowing you can trust this office to take excellent care of you. Update 11/25/2025 John was able to help my dad out with an emergency tooth issue and provide an appointment the very next day right before the the Thanksgiving holiday. Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful dental office. They gave me a tour, greeted me with respect, and explained my treatments thoroughly. I had a great experience here.

Negative experience: I had an extremely troubling experience with Dr. Hong. During an initial appointment for a cleaning, he was very pleasant and attentive and I was happy to book with him for two fillings. Unfortunately, on the day of the fillings, he entered the room visibly agitated and did not greet me. He rushed through the numbing process and didn't allow enough time for it to take effect. He told me to raise my hand if I felt any pain. During the first filling, I wasn't fully numb and had to raise my hand for him to stop. He was audibly annoyed but re-numbed and finished that tooth. When he began the second, I again wasn't numb but felt uncomfortable speaking up because of his previous response. The moment he started drilling, I felt sharp pain, said "ouch!" and raised my hand. He abruptly threw back his chair, slammed down his tools, and said, "You just put me in grave danger." | immediately stated my intent to leave, paid for the completed work, and canceled all future appointments. Upon my spouse later calling to inquire if I needed to act quickly or take precautions after the drill was used on my tooth, he stated no to both. A second dentist later confirmed that the tooth had been drilled into and needed same-day repair to avoid even further damage. This was an extremely unprofessional and distressing experience. Dr. Hong took no responsibility for his actions, and in fact placed me at increased risk by being untruthful about the need to have the situation quickly repaired. While the staff at Lake Shore Dental is wonderful, I highly recommend steering clear of Dr. Hong. I would additionally encourage potential patients to look deeply into reviews of his care, as mine is not the first of these incidents.

Fantastic experience: Great practice, everyone is very friendly and attentative. Ask for Nina to be your Hygentist she is awesome!

Negative experience: Clearly this doctors office wants to change policies and not inform patients about its recent insurance changes. After getting off the phone with Stephany she informed me that my husband would have to pay for his entire cleaning procedure because the Dr. Is not in network with our Insurance.. even though at the time of visit we were told that our insurance was accepted. My husband came back in April and we were told everything would be covered and we would just pay $49 for the fluoride. I have my receipt as proof. For a business to call me months later saying nothing is covered because their Dr isn't in network is completely unethical and unprofessional on their part. Stephany was no help at all and was very quick to cancel all of my upcoming appointments for my husband and I. I have been coming to this place for years and referring my friends and family members but it seems to me they do not value loyal patients. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: First time visitor and happy with the experience. Aiyesha and Dr. Hong were very friendly during the exam. Heather did and phenomenal job cleaning my teeth and was genuinely an awesome person. I’ll be back!

Fantastic experience: Just had my first dental appointment with lake shore family dental and I am blown away! Office staff was so friendly and I was given a tour immediately. The hygienist I had was amazing and super thorough, best cleaning I’ve ever had. She took the time to gather all my past dental history, ask about concerns, my preferences, everything. The dentist was great with answering my questions, following up about my mouthguard and examining it. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Lake Shore Family Dental is the best! I've had some negative experiences with dentists in the past, but my family and I have nothing but positive things to say about Lake Shore. The staff is amazing! I came in recently 8 months pregnant and my dental hygenist was so warm and considerate. She did everything to make me feel comfortable and to help me get in and out quickly with a thorough cleaning. Dr. Limsam is wonderful. He has such a calming presence and is great at explaining procedures. He was even able to fit me in same day for a filling. He's also amazing with my 3 year old. We've been coming to Lake Shore since he turned 2 and Dr. Limsam us great advice for setting him up with good routines. I even forgot my sunglasses one time and the office staff called me back to let me know they were being held at the front desk.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit there. I have severe dental anxiety and they made me feel comfortable showed me the entire office and even split up my X-rays and cleanings. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a caring, affordable, and close dentist in the Pasadena area to give them a call.

Fantastic experience: Professional, clean, up to date office. Friendly front desk staff with clear information regarding billing/insurance coverage given prior to treatments being performed and an abundance of appointment reminders. Kara the hygienist is knowledgeable and gives amazing attention to detail during her cleanings while still being gentle. Dr Limsam is astute in his practice and has great bedside manner. Highly recommend this team for your dental care.

Negative experience: The office and staff are very nice… the dental work, not so much. I recently left this practice because every tooth I have gotten filled is now so sensitive (years later) and one requires a crown because of excessive gapping around the tooth. In my opinion, Dr. Hong is very rough and rushes through his work. I went to a new dentist and was told that I will have to have all my fillings replaced due to inadequate dental work and material which is causing the sensitivity. I had braces and take care of my teeth so having dental work resulting in gapping and sensitivity is very disappointing and fixing the problems he caused is going to be expensive.

Fantastic experience: This dental office has been providing me with great care Today, Kara did an excellent job cleaning and inspecting my teeth and gums!! She went above and beyond to ensure that my concerns were addressed. My mouth has never felt cleaner! Also, I have always been treated so kindly by John who explains all details concerning my treatment plan! He takes care of processing my insurance coverage! Of course , Dr. Hong is great at diagnosing any problems that I may have been experiencing! I trust his advice thoroughly!! He is also very kind !!

Negative experience: I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience at Lake Shore Family Dental. I came to this office with high hopes after leaving other dentists who constantly canceled appointments, changed their hours without notice, and had ridiculously long wait times to reschedule. I was hopeful this place would be different. At first, things seemed fine—but that didn’t last. Without warning, they abruptly changed their office hours in a way that makes it nearly impossible for anyone with a standard 9-to-5 job to be seen. On top of that, they canceled my appointment and blamed it on “staffing issues,” which frankly feels like an excuse rather than the truth. I made time in my schedule, arranged everything to be there, and they clearly didn’t respect that. It’s frustrating and unacceptable to be treated like just another slot on the calendar—easily canceled or pushed aside when it’s inconvenient for them. I’m looking for a dental office that values patients’ time, takes healthcare seriously, and operates with professionalism and consistency. Unfortunately, Lake Shore Family Dental has proven that they are not that kind of place. I’ll be finding a new provider who respects their patients instead of treating them like an afterthought.

Fantastic experience: I cannot explain how great experience I had with the team here! I had a an emergency root canal here while in town as I was here for family arrangements. This place not only took me in in less than 24 hours, but their level of care was amazing from the front office, financial, and dentist. The work they did was so smooth, and I practically fell asleep while they did my root canal! Complete opposite of what you think a root canal is going to be especially the trauma I had on that particular tooth. The dentist and the assistant had never actually worked together until me, and if I didn't know that I would have never of guessed. Their professional care with me was top notch. Not to mention the dentist I visited when returning home, bragged on the incredible job they did on the root canal and said it was beautiful! I was they were my regular dentist back home as a dental practice like this is hard to come by.

Negative experience: It has been a while since we left this dentist. The reason why I am just writing now is because my grandson and daughter are having the same issues. While he is efficient dentist and gets things done quickly. Four family members have had the same issues. All of us had a filling put in. I was the first to have a filling, but I notice that the tooth was really sensitive to anything I ate or drank after he put the filling in. I just figured it would go away. The pain did not go away for two months. Then my husband had a filling and the same thing happen to him. Again my daughter had a filling the same thing happen to her. I "Oh Welled It" thinking it might be just my family. In all these years this never happen to any of us after a filling with any dentist in this whole area. My grandson just had a filling put in and he was telling me the pain he was in after the filling. This encourage me to inform other patients to be aware of this dentist practices. I must add disturbing experience with one of his hygienists. She NEVER STOP preaching to us how to clean our teeth. She was so ANNOYING from the time I was in the chair for cleaning walking all the way up to pay and still instructing me how to clean my teeth; Iam 70 years old ENOUGH! Then the manager at the front desk sells you on their Smile Club membership. Be careful here if you do not have both of the husband and wife sign up the same time they charge you 20.00 more. Did this to both my family members only 20% discount plus a rude man. Since then all family members have left and we notice they are so much higher then the other dentist we have gone to. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Lake Shore Family Dental for quite a long time. In fact, I've was a patient for many years before they moved to their current location. Dr. Hong has invested a LOT in modern dental technology in that office and it shows. I love that they have a lab facility right there in the office. If you need a crown, there's no more waiting for weeks and getting a temporary. It's all done while you are there in a single visit. The office itself is VERY clean which I appreciate and the front desk staff are top notch. They are always friendly and send out several reminders prior to your scheduled visit. Although they have more dentists now, I still use Dr. Hong. He's is very thorough and detail oriented and has done a great job with me over the years. I recently moved to Virginia but I joked with their office staff that I was keeping my same insurance, just so I don't have to change dentists. I have been to a few other dentists in my lifetime, but none of them are even close to the level of care I have received here. Simply put, I cannot say enough positive things about their practice. It's A++

Positive experience: Great service. The Dentist Mark and Anna very gentle. I gave it 4 stars because I think being a senior and paying out of pocket could of been a little better. That wasn't considered. Anyway I recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I always recommend Lake Shore Family Dental and Dr. Hong specifically for anyone searching for a new dental office. The staff here is always helpful and friendly, overall a 5/5 experience every time. Dr. Hong has been my dentist for a few years now and I am incredibly hesitant to receive care elsewhere. He is very skilled at what he does and I have not had a negative experience, or any negative ramifications as a result of his work. He squeezed me in for an emergency appointment today despite his busy schedule as the holidays approach. I am immensely grateful for his flexibility and willingness to help me out even if it may have inconvenienced him. Thank you!

Negative experience: I’ve only come here 3 times and all three times I have had a great experience with the dental hygienist and office staff but a horrible experience with Dr. Walter Hong. I scheduled with this office due to the previous office I saw (which I loved and saw since I grew teeth) was booked out for months. I have never had a dental problem but as soon as I was seen here I had a cavity and 2 cracked teeth, this really scared me I have great dental hygiene. My first encounter with Dr. Walter Hong he informed me that I had a cavity and did not answer a single question I wanted to ask. As this was my first dental issue I was very upset and didn’t understand the process or why this happened. I came in for my filling and I asked him a question (I did not know this wasn’t allowed since I’ve never prev. had dental work) and he snapped at me for asking, I probably wouldn’t ask if he took the time to talk to me the first time. I came in today for a cleaning and exam and was there for over an hour, it was quick with the hygienist and I’m a healthcare worker so I understand running behind but when he eventually came in to see me I asked how he was and he said “not good” never even looked at me nor asked about how I was (basic manners & customer service skills). He probably said about a total of 10 words to me. Looked in my mouth for 5 seconds and when my hygienist brought up issues that I would like to address to him he said that he won’t even answer those until I got my back teeth filled. I asked for a photo showing my cracked teeth since I can’t see them and I was curious, he said “believe it or not I don’t have a car payment I need to make” since I guess he didn’t think I believed him (extremely rude). Overall, due to him I will not be returning and will be cancelling my future appointments. All of the staff I have come in contact with have been kind except him. He is nothing but extremely rude and disrespectful, he does not care and is completely unhelpful. The hygienist helped more than him. This is the first review I have ever made and for a good reason.

Fantastic experience: I can not explain in words the gratitude, the professionalism and the care I receive from Dr Lam and the staff at Lake Shore Family Dental. I have been going there for a few years now. At first I just received regular maintenance routines. But the last couple of years I experienced some real dental emergencies and they have gone above and beyond. From extractions, to crowns breaking and the same day crown replacement, emergency fillings, I just want to say thank you, thank you, as you have calmed my nerves and my fears. I have my family dental care with this practice as well and my children have a pleasurable experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for over five years. This is the best dentist office! First off the environment is great, I have a-lot of anxiety when it comes to visiting the dentist, but I'm always comfortable here and never have a bad experience. Dr. Hong is my primary dentist and he is patient considerate and does quality work with great attention to detail. Dental hygienist Kara is very, warm, and professional, she made me feel welcome from the moment we met in the waiting room. The main thing I appreciate is there’s never any sense of judgment or lecturing, always relaxed and practical approach, while always taking my input into consideration.

Fantastic experience: I loved my experience with Lake Shore Family Dental. The facilities are top of the line and the office is extremely clean. The staff is professional and very nice. This will be my permanent dentist office.

Fantastic experience: I had an initial appointment at LSFD in late April and their staff was tremendously welcoming and friendly. After evaluation and comprehensive cleaning, it was determined I'd need a number of fillings. I was presented with an itemized treatment plan complete with price estimates and appointment time length. This level of transparency gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to spread the cost across a few visits. Dr. Lam and his hygienists were kind, thorough, and compassionate. I felt assured (even while nervous about procedures) that I was receiving quality care. Having now completed the treatment plan over 3 visits, I'd highly recommend their practice, especially to those who may have some level of anxiety about dental work.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tommy Lam is the best . He doesn’t rush and answers all questions. He doesn’t look “annoyed” like most docs do when you ask questions

Negative experience: I gave the office a 24 hours notice for two appointment cancellations due to having COVID and not feeling well. The office refused to allow me to book an appointment and would only allow me to book same day appointments which is not feasible. Would not recommend Lake Shore Family Dental Office.

Fantastic experience: I have been going LSFD for 7 years. Dr. Hong is a wonderful, caring dentist. His office staff, hygienists and dental assistants are all very knowledgeable, helpful and caring too. The office is state of the art. When I first started going I and my 2 children did not have dental insurance. They have Smile Club which you pay for once a year and covers 2 cleanings, exam, X-rays and fluoride. Also a percentage off of fillings, if you need any. This was a great plan for us. I highly recommend him. I was a dental assistant for 7 years, so I’m very choosy when searching for a dentist and wouldn’t recommend one if they and their staff didn’t tick off all the boxes.

Fantastic experience: TLDR: Literally the best dentist and dental experience out there. This is the best dentist I have ever been to and it's not even close! I have been to many dentists and orthodontists growing up, so I am not stranger to the ups and downs of different dentistry practices and how hit or miss it can be. When dealing with a dentist, it is like finding a good car mechanic that you can trust and not get price gouged as well as trusting they will perform quality work. Just like you want to show off your car, you want to show off your smile, at an affordable price too! My experience here has been nothing short of amazing. From the first visit and "orientation" to already going 4 times for dental work and fillings. Dr. Lam is the BEST dentist I have ever used. First off, HE CARES! Let me tell you how important it is to have someone that actually cares! I had pretty extensive fillings and repair done to the front of my teeth which is obviously the main part of my smile. He frequently makes sure that you are fine during the procedures, but not to an overbearing point. Basically, he is aware if you are uncomfortable or something is "wrong" and will make sure that you are okay with everything going on. Furthermore, I had some staining on my teeth (from the braces) and he removed the staining on a tooth that I was not quoted to work on and he did it AT NO CHARGE! WHO DOES THAT Once again, it is because he cares and he prides himself in the quality of his work. My smile has never looked better. He shaved my teeth as to be more uniform and symmetrical. It honestly looks amazing. I have had other dentists who tried to do fillings on the front of my teeth and they didn't match the shading of the teeth correctly and it just looked horrible. The work that Dr. Lam did was more than incredible and it is almost weird now to actually smile and not feel self conscious about it. We did extra work on my molars and side teeth and I did have to go back 2 times in order to correct the bite and I also had extra sensitivity to hot and cold. Each time they offered to see me that day but I kept my original schedule as it wasn't an emergency. I went in and once again, it was apparent that Dr. Lam cares and he took his time to ensure that we were correcting things and I wasn't in pain or anything else was going on, which can be the case with teeth. If you are looking for a dentist or have a fear of the dentist or any hesitation, I would highly recommend that you at least give them a try. You can see from the other reviews how highly rated they are but it really is warranted and everyone from the front staff to the assistants and of course, to the doctors... This place really deserves the 5 stars and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: I had had a really bad toothache that had been going on for over a week. I had called around a couple places and the earliest I could get in was a month out. I seen Lakeshore is number which is the closest to me and decided to call one day on my way home from work because the pain was so unbearable. They asked where I was at I said on Bayside Beach Road they said turn around and come on and we can see you now. From that moment on I knew they were the one. Nothing but kindness very informative very compassionate staff from the phone call until the very last visit. Lakeshore Dental is very professional and very informative. Anybody who knows me knows I am very impatient at times and can let my words be heard. Well what I would like to be heard here is that they have never disappoint it they have been on top of things from the get-go. I cannot and do not say enough nice things about the staff and the care. I had to have a few teeth polled a few fillings and I even got my husband pulled in. He’s a very hard one to please, But as I he cannot find anything negative to say but just give praise. Anyone wanting to feel comfortable about their self to feel comfortable with a staff and be told upfront about everything that’s going on and just all in general once a good dental team go to Lakeshore they will not disappoint. Tell him I sent you ..lol

Fantastic experience: I moved to the area and was looking for a new dentist after not being seen for my regular exams and cleaning for about 2 years. I have a lot of dental anxiety, but after reading all the reviews for Lake Shore Family Dental I figured I would give them a try. After being greeted by John at the front desk, I was given a brief tour of the facility and a gift before my appointment, which was so thoughtful. For my appointment, Morgan was my dental hygienist and she did an amazing job of listening to my concerns, going through my priorities, and explaining everything. She did an exceptional job of making me feel comfortable and talking to me about our next steps and health plan. Dr. Lam went through the roadmap of concerns, talked me through everything, and made me feel very comfortable with our plan to get my teeth back in good shape. After my appointment, I called my family and told them how impressed I was with everything and all of the employees at Lake Short Family Dental. They are truly a testament to their mission of being welcoming and prioritizing their patient’s comfort. Thank you, John, Morgan, and Dr. Lam! I can’t wait to come back for my next appointment… and I have even started flossing twice a day.

Negative experience: EDIT!!! I’m editing this review because after being here for awhile, my experience has turned VERY sour. First let me say that the staff and dental assistants and Drs Lam and Limsam are all fantastic: incredibly helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and just overall a great staff. The head doctor however, Dr. Hong, is one of the rudest medical staff I’ve ever had the displeasure of seeing. He was so rude that I was blown away at my appointment. He snapped when I asked questions, got flustered when I wanted clarification and didn’t explain anything. I cannot believe that someone who owns their own practice acts like this. Also, after speaking to an oral surgeon, I believe that he put a filling in incorrectly which caused an infection and required a very costly and painful root canal. After reading several reviews saying the same thing about him, I can totally understand where they were coming from. I will absolutely not be continuing my business with this dentist. If you make an appointment, make sure it’s with a different doctor. Just came as a new patient. Fantastic experience: everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. They give you a cute little tumbler and thank you note as a new patient which I’ve never had before. Nice little touch. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I moved to the area recently and needed a new dentist. I saw on a Pasadena Facebook group recommendations for this place. Let me just say, I am BLOWN away!!! They were so organized, so kind, so caring. They explained everything that was happening and made sure i was ok with the procedure and prices before continuing. My hygenist was super friendly and great to talk to. The office was VERY clean and super nice! The dentist himself was very friendly and great. I felt cared for. I definitely cant recommend this place enough, they are amazing!

Fantastic experience: I'm new to the area and was well overdue for a standard checkup and cleaning. Since it had been so long since my last checkup I was extremely anxious. From the moment I checked in, all of the staff was wonderful! Both the tech that did my cleaning and Dr Lam who did my fillings at a later appointment were amazing! They were so friendly and caring and genuinely concerned for my comfort throughout both visits. I can't thank them enough for getting me back on track and feeling less anxious about the dentist!

Negative experience: Dr Hong…where do I begin. A year ago I went to the office for fillings in my teeth. I have anxiety with the dentist and Dr Hong gave me a script for an anxiety medication. I got to his office and he began my treatment. He made it to the right side of my mouth when my mouth started hurting. I started to move a little and asked him to stop. I told him I did not believe I was numb enough and that I also did not think my anxiety medication was working. Dr Hong became extremely irate at me. Slamming his tools down and belittling me. He yelled at me and stated he would not be finishing my treatment today. At this point I am in tears and uncontrollably sobbing. The tech put me in a wheelchair to take me out to my husband. When I got to the car my husband was upset because he could see how visibly shaken I was. I called the office the next day to ask for the remainder of the money back for the filling that was not completed so I could go elsewhere. They would not comply since they already billed my insurance. I made another appointment to go in but this time with my husband present and in the room despite Dr. Hong not wanting him there. The tech asked why my husband needed to be there and I stated because Dr Hong can’t seem to control his anger. My filling was done and as I was being taken back out the tech apologized to me stating “please don’t give up on us. Come back and see another Dr. Dr Hong is just mean”. Recently I went to a new dentist and all of the fillings Dr Hong had done have significant problems. One had even come out with in two months of placement. My new doctor was phenomenal but stated the previous dentist did a poor job on my fillings. Needless to say I never ever returned. I pulled both my children and husband from the practice and never looked back. -E. Cole

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mark is outstanding and the entire staff and desk Staff cant be any better. Truly outstanding and most helpful in any dental care anyone needs , this is the place to really be. Just got a cleaning 3 weeks ago and a wisdom toothe extraction today. This dental office is highly recommended and for anyone that needs any ectractions/crowns/fillings etc. If only could give the option to give 10 stars on google i would do it.

Negative experience: I rarely leave a review, but due to the amount of time I spent at Lake Shore Family Dentistry without a solution I thought I would share. My wife and I decided to join Lake Shore Family Dentistry on 11/22/22 as a new patients, since our previous dentist retired. It was Lake Shore's Family Dentist recommendation that we both have several older fillings replaced so we scheduled the 1st replacement on 12/22/22. Neither my wife or I were having issues with the existing fillings. Immediately after our first filling replacements we both were experiencing sensitivity and not able to chew on the filling replacement tooth. We both went back for "adjustments" of the fillings and noticed very little relief. Over the course of a few months we both revisited seven times for "adjustments." My wife three times and I had to go four times. The only explanation we received from Lake Shore Family Dentistry was that large fillings require adjustments. Over the course of multiple visits and adjustments I am now experiencing food getting trapped under my tooth, and must floss after every simple meal. During my last visit 3/8/23 the staff explained they were just as frustrated as I am and asked "what would you like us to do?" I responded with "I would like to be able to chew and not have food trapped under my tooth after every meal!" After a combined 7 visits from my wife and I, it is now Lake Shore's Family Dentistry recommendation I will require a crown and possibly a root canal. This entire procedure was the recommendation of Lake Shore Family Dentistry with no communication of future visits, adjustments, root canal, or a possible crown. Currently after multiple visits my condition is the same, not able to chew on the right side of my mouth, and I must floss after every simple meal. My wife and will not be returning to Lake Shore Family Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I've always avoided going to the dentist at all costs but found myself in need of one rather quickly. I was able to make an appt online and was seen within 2 days. Everyone at the office was extremely friendly and informative and the hygienist and the dentist were great!! I was even welcomed as a new patient with a gift and a tour of the office, which made me feel super comfortable. I would absolutely 100% recommend them!!!

Fantastic experience: Wow. This place is as good as it gets. They seem to have put thought into all aspect of your visit to make it a great experience. As a new patient, John met me at the door and immediately gave me a little tour and a welcome gift. . One thing i really appreciate is that they discuss any charges before doing any work. Dr Lam and Courtney did some fillings for me and were unbelievably good.

Fantastic experience: I was so terrified of getting my wisdom tooth pulled but so Happy I decided to let Dr Lam do the procedure. Dr. Lam was absolutely Amazing!! With the assistance of Ms Hazel. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Lake Shore Family Dental by a coworker who recently had a first time visit there and shared nothing but good things about the staff and atmosphere. I called to make an appointment for my daughter who is 7 and was pleasantly surprised to get something rather quickly. I filled out the registration paperwork online and showed up a couple minutes late which they were very understanding about. The front desk was extremely polite and welcoming, explained any fees I'd have to pay out of pocket that my insurance wouldn't cover. We were brought into the back with very little wait and Amanda, the dental hygienist, introduced herself. She made us feel so comfortable, and more importantly she made my daughter feel at ease and explained everything she would do beforehand. Dr. Lam then came in and spoke to my daughter directly, told her who he was, what they would be doing, and spoke about the importance of brushing and flossing. Out of everything, I was most appreciative of the fact that they were very engaging with her so that she understood how crucial it was to take care of her teeth! My only mistake was not getting the names of the front desk receptionist and billing so that I could include them in this stellar review. Thank you for assisting us today and taking care of my daughter! I highly recommend this dental office, especially for families!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best dental facility around. Not only is it incredibly modern with all the newest technology but the staff is friendly and Dr. Hong, is the best! I broke a crown on my front tooth and he was able to match the tooth perfectly and I was never in any discomfort. Everything was done in three hours and I didn’t have to come back because they do everything in house. I would give them an extra star if I could!

Fantastic experience: Really impressed with the quality of service and care Lakeshore Family Dental provides. The office is very clean and professional. The staff are wonderful and very patient! I especially love that they cater their care to each patient. My husband and I are opposites in most ways - I prefer to know the details and tend to ask a lot of questions, while he’s a bottom line kind of person. The staff accommodated both of us. My husband hasn’t gone to a dentist in years because of a tooth sensitivity, but because of the care Lakeshore Family Dental provided he’s already scheduled for his six month cleaning and will start going more regularly. Would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quality dentist in the area!

Fantastic experience: I needed to be seen soon for a broken tooth. I was able to make an appointment next day and was able to get the work done the next day! I have always had a fear of the dentist. Negative experience: Our first time here went smoothly. They gave us a tour and even a small welcome gift. The staff was very friendly and they stuck to our appointment time. Initially rated 5 ☆ ....but several visits later we were given a total estimate for our visit prior to having work done (thinking they ran the insurance since the cost was zero on the forms they showed me) later found that they never actually ran it for that visit and their provider was no longer in network so we were billed out of pocket after the visit. Very misleading to show me my cost ahead of time implying the insurance would cover it only to find out it was not preauthorized and now I have a bill. Had they simply run it, I would have know the provider was no longer in network and would have rescheduled elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I love this practice everyone is friendly and professional. They have advanced technology which is amazing I had to get a crown they made it and put it it the same day. The fit was much better than the traditional method! If the tell you your appointment will take an hour it takes an hour they understand that people's time is important. My teeth have never been heathier!!

Fantastic experience: Had the BEST experience here today. I haven’t been to the dentist in quite some time because I had such a bad experience years ago. Anna greeted me at the front desk and some nice man (forgot his name) gave me a tour and a welcome gift! What! I got a present for going to the dentist!! Then Amanda who was my hygienist explained everything super thoroughly and throughout the entire process asked me if I was doing okay and always checked in on me. Dr Limsam was super thorough and gentle. I can’t say enough good things about my visit. They even have massagers on the chairs and TVs for you to watch!

Fantastic experience: First trip to the dentist had a lot of anxiety and they helped they walked me through everything before they did it, they gave me a quick tour of the facility and I have no insurance for dental and they have affordable treatments even if you don’t have good or any coverage! At least give them a call to check them out!
