Fantastic experience: There are no words in any dictionary that can describe my amazing experience at Quarterfield Dental Arts!!! As a member of the “High Anxiety and Fearful of the Dentist Club, I cannot believe that I sat through a major dental procedure, and left with a smile on my face❤️! Dr. Soni gave me the best anesthetic injection that I have ever had!! I had my eyes closed the entire time and didn’t realize that she had numb my mouth several times…10/10! My procedure went so well before, during and after that I cried just because I did not experience one second of discomfort!!!! I have worked in the dental profession for over 30! Years and I can absolutely say that Dr. Soni is beyond one of the best dentist that has ever treated me!!! I am so proud of her and the entire team for making me feel comfortable and helping me through my anxiety and previous dental traumas!!! THANK YOU FOR BEING PHENOMENAL!! I will recommend Dr Soni to everyone that I know!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the lack of information given at each visit for 4 teeth that needed crowns. At every visit I was given a different cost for the work to be done. After what insurance covered and my deductible, I still had to pay about $10,000 out of pocket, which is almost double what I was quoted at the beginning. Visits took much longer that I anticipated based on the information given me. The last visit was very painful as my gum and inside cheek were cut and bleeding. The crowns are larger that the teeth that were replaced and stand out instead of blending in. After my upcoming visit to complete the permanent crowns on the last 2 teeth, I will find a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I came in today for a scheduled filling and sealant appointment. I arrived slightly early and was seen promptly at the scheduled time. Dr. Pooja Soni, who performed the procedure, was extremely accommodating and attentive to my requests. She went above and beyond by addressing additional issues that were identified during the procedure. Her skill was especially evident during the numbing process, which she administered effortlessly demonstrating her high level of expertise. Overall, the procedure was painless, and the results were excellent. I am very pleased with the care and treatment I received today from Dr. Pooja and her team.

Negative experience: First 2 times I went after the pandemic were good and the hygienist worked with me and my severe anxiety but every time after that they were bad. Wasted $200 to fix a tooth that rebroke in less then 24hrs and is still cutting my tongue to this day, the last 2 times I went I had a man for the cleaning part and he was terrible! Like I walked out of there looking and feeling like I took a shower with the water thing they squirt in your mouth, no spit takes were allowed or offered so I was just quietly drowning trying to breath through my stuffy nose and I haven't gone back here or even to another dentist since and I dont think I ever will again. They also aren't willing to work with you if you dont/cant make phone calls. I email them and I'll just get a quick "call us back when you can to talk" voicemail at like 9am which for me is 9pm since I work nights. Like read the room ppl, if someone emails you at 2am in what world do you think they want a call back at 9am? To make it worse they dont even include any info in the VM just a "call us back". overall ew and no to this place.

Negative experience: This office will not disclose the dental materials used for fillings. They dance around it however they can. There’s good composite material and bad ones. Some with BPA, some without. Some that stain easily and some that don’t. It’s a very reasonable question when talking about a material that will be in your mouth for the rest of your life. Also the front desk manager seems pretty disorganized. She makes loads of communication mistakes but never takes responsibility for any of it. The doctor himself seems okay in general competency, which is why I gave this office 2 stars instead of one, but it’s really terrifying that the materials used are off the table for discussion.

We are convinced that Dr Miller’s recommendation of a special dental appliance will be the solution for Mike’s sleep apnea after a prolonged & frustrating struggle with CPAP. Both Dr Miller & Tracey were very kind & helpful in explaining everything carefully to my husband, who has Alzheimer’s, & me. We know that they will be patient & encouraging as he adjusts to the appliance, which should be arriving soon.

I am a new patient, so Dr. Miller called me the day before to introduce himself, and ask if I had any concerns. This put me at ease to know he really cares about his patients. I knew I had some dental issues, but kept putting it off because I've had a few bad experiences in the past. Now, I am actually looking forward to getting these issues corrected as soon as possible. I would definitely recommend Quarterfield Dental Arts, especially for scaredy-cats like me.

Negative experience: Your initial visit is great, the dentist calls you at home & welcomes you. Everyone is so friendly in the office & Angela (hygienist) is awesome but this doctor only cares about money. He changed my treatment plan afterwards & started charging me more money & coming up with different reasons on why. I couldn't get a straight answer & then he gets defensive. Do not recommend this place.

Negative experience: I feel obligated to speak up just so others don’t have their teeth, gums, and general health damaged by Dr. Miller. Dr. Miller changed my treatment plan without informing me or getting my informed consent--I was supposed to get two separate individual crowns, but he cut corners and decided it should be a connected crown even though that was never discussed, nor would I have ever agreed to that, and it certainly isn't what I paid for, and it isn’t what his office billed insurance for. He was disinterested in proper communications and consent procedures and has been reported to relevant authorities. The shoddy dental work Dr. Miller did caused a severe gum infection and also necessitated root canals on both teeth that were supposed to just get individual crowns. It took 3 phenomenal dental experts and thousands of dollars more just to fix the damage Dr. Miller caused. The dentists that helped were true professionals and credit to the dental profession, Dr. Miller is the exact opposite. The minute Dr. Miller was called out on his conduct, he became very rude and dismissive. I advise against allowing Dr. Miller to perform a gingivectomy, he claims it is necessary but absolutely get a second opinion because it was completely unnecessary for my situation, and it did a great deal more damage. He was completely unskilled in the dental work he performed on my teeth; other dentists didn't even initially believe the work was done by a licensed dentist because it was so bad. I really wish the reviews would allow for me to load the dental imaging but because it can reveal personal medical info, it isn’t allowing it. The dental records from him were atrocious, they were horribly handwritten and near illegible on what looked like loose-leaf paper. Not sure if it’s on purpose to obscure records but it certainly makes for sloppy record-keeping and documentation. I also received mixed over-the-counter painkiller medication from Dr. Miller before he performed the dental work, but none of it was documented in any of the medical records when my records were requested. I asked about it, and if it was a standard dose, he gives to everyone, it still took him a week to figure out what he give me and at what dosage. He never asked about height and weight so this cocktail was not adjusted for me as an individual patient.

Fantastic experience: Had to find another dental practice after my old practice dropped my insurance. Dental Arts was in my provider list and only 2 miles from my residence. First visit was seamless, very knowledgeable hygienist and Dr. Miller was very personable when he came in to look at my teeth. Quick but detail oriented first visit.

My teeth cleaning was painless, and the doctor was quite friendly. The doctor actually scheduled an appointment for me to see a specialist! It just doesn’t get any better than that! I walked out in record time with a gleaming pearly white smile! Thank you, and I’ll see you in 6 months!

Negative experience: Dr. Miller is great. So is the hygienist Allison. However, the front desk? Totally incompetent. And I've given it two chances. The second chance went like this: spoke to K (I'll let the office figure out who) regarding an appointment change. Specifically said to her Wed at this time, she reads the time back. I get a notification the following morning for a Tue appointment at an obscure time! First chance was blown when the woman managing insurance SNATCHES my cellphone from my hand and emails my insurance info from my WORK ACCOUNT on my Outlook app. I was so stunned; I've never seen anyone ever do that. This place was great pre-pandemic. I guess the labor market is tight?

Negative experience: Always check the billing and insurance codes from Dr. Paul R. Miller with your Explanation of Benefits EOB from insurance. Dr. Miller billed for unauthorized additional fees as well as miscoded services. Dr. Miller for example billed for PPE Dental Code D1999, labeling it as an unspecified preventative procedure, approx. 20 dollars per visit. This has been prohibited by the Maryland Attorney General since 2020 and needs to be reported to your insurance and the Maryland Attorney General’s HEAU if he refuses to refund or remove all the charges. For all other suspect charges, if Dr. Paul R. Miller is an In-network dentist with your insurance, he can only charge what has already been negotiated by insurance. All dental services have a dental code, so it should be submitted to insurance and they will inform patients what is covered or not in the EOB. Even for things not expressly paid for by insurance, there is still an insurance fee schedule that caps how much any in-network dentist can charge for services.

Fantastic experience: Professional, honest and simply wonderful! I highly recommend.

Negative experience: I wish I never came here. Three weeks ago, Dr. Miller and his assistant cemented my dental bridge leaving a root canal and cavity of tooth #31 untreated under the bridge. That is big-time dental negligence. Plus, the cemented bridge now is dislocated and twisted which makes chewing foods difficult and even painful. When I came the next day with a complaint, Dr. Miller offered me a new bridge for $5,000. I guess he just made up this nice big digit from his head. I will never return back here even for a free service. I realized that a friendly dental clinic does not mean it is professional and caring. Do not risk.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment yesterday to begin the (long) process of fixing some poorly done dental work from a different dentist. The hygienist was the best I have ever had. I have sensitive teeth and she was very kind and gentle and managed to get my teeth very clean without pain. The front desk has been very helpful with rescheduling and also with sending me my records as well as giving me my estimated costs in advance of my appointments, so I don't end up with a surprise bill. Dr. Miller called me before my appointment to check in and welcome me and asked me specifically what I wanted to have done rather than telling me a bunch of things I don't need. I was provided with great aftercare instructions including some I have not heard before. This is not the cheapest place, not that any dentist is, but trust me when I say it's cheaper to have the work done right the first time.

Fantastic experience: I went in to have a cleaning and to obtain a 2nd opinion. The staff were very knowledgeable and my tech was awesome! She explained everything and was very patient with me. Dr. Miller was awesome as well, he even called me the day before my appointment to introduce himself and talked with me about my expectations which I thought was great.

Fantastic experience: New patient! I have only been to 2 dentists in my lifetime. My insurance recently changed and I had to acquire a new one. I have extreme anxiety and need consistent step by step instruction so I can prepare myself. I went in for a cleaning and found out one of my fillings had failed. The first experience 10yrs ago was ok, but it hurt more than expected. The needle hurt and I jumped out of the chair, only to be met with, “don’t do that.” When Dr. Miller saw that the filling had failed he made sure the hygienist showed me. I quickly made an appointment and they got me right in. Knowing I had the worst anxiety his assistant pre numbed my gums with the numb gel and held my hand as the needle was going into my gums. I was told everything, every step of the way so I could adjust myself. Dr. Miller told me not to eat until the numbing wore off and even called to check on me HOURS after the procedure. I will continue to use this practice! I’m impressed! They also have tvs for you to watch and he’s super hip to the fist bump after a job well done!
