Fantastic experience: Shout out to Gina, my kiddos Dental Hygienist! She was and always is wonderful with my autistic, non-verbal son. Her patience is beyond measure. I highly recommend Chesapeake Pediatric Dental to parents with special needs children. The whole staff is very welcoming. Thank you again Gina!

Fantastic experience: My kids have been coming to this dental office for a few years now the staff is always kind especially to my autistic baby . My daughter is 14 now she's been coming here since she's been 10 . The front office staff is so sweet and inviting the doctors everyone and I'm alway in and out ans hour tops unless my kids need work done

Fantastic experience: The best pediatric dentists my kids have ever been to!! The don’t do X-rays every visit like most dentists just to make money. They let me go back in the room with my child.. these were things important to me. They also advised that my son’s allergy medicine was acidic and caused cavities which no one informed me of previously. I’ve always enjoyed them every time we come. The hygienist and dentist are all so sweet to my child

Fantastic experience: I am very picky about Dentist offices, I worked as a dental assistant for years. Anyway, my son fell and chipped his front teeth, he is less than 2 years old. The teeth needed to be taken out and we came here and I am beyond impressed. The dental assistant’s were awesome and the dentist was great as well. Everyone was great. I definitely will recommend this office to everyone I know and whoever asks I’ll share our awesome experience. My son healed up nicely and doesn’t have any issues with us brushing his teeth now. We were worried about trauma and him not letting us brush after the treatment. No issues!

Fantastic experience: We are so grateful we found this dentist office. Everyone is so friendly. The front desk ladies are so helpful. We are a military family and recently moved here. My daughter was having some pain on a tooth that previously had a filling. So I did some research to find a pediatric dentist with great reviews but Dr. Yen exceeding all my expectations. From the moment she walked in the room she was talking to my daughter about her stuffed animal and taking the time to get to know her. And then Dr. Yen proceeded to thank me for choosing their practice. (I have never had a dentist do this). We returned a few days later to have the infected baby tooth extracted. My daughter didn’t feel a thing and after the procedure Dr. Yen reassured her that she still looked beautiful and her adult tooth would be filling in the hole shortly. I’m so glad we found this office for our time here in Maryland.

Fantastic experience: A safe place for even 2 year olds that have been traumatized by other pediatric dentist. No tears, no anxiety, a fun place with lots of kindness and smiling faces. Dr. Cho and Lauren were amazing. 5+ stars !

Negative experience: Such an ill mannered and rude staff, don't know how to communicate with patients. if you are 5minutes late , you would have to wait for the rest of the closing time and don’t get seen again !! As what happened to us. We were 5 to 10 late they made us wait for an hour & half , no one acknowledged our presence and came to us once ( usually we are on time and we always wait patiently for our turn they never took us right away in from the door ) In this whole time they didn’t communicate at all such a rude staff specially Jackie I have never seen this anywhere before. People always talk politely and show concern if you are there ( i wanted to ask anyone can sit in your office and you guys don't show any concern?) its also a security alert…. It was clear manager Jackie over there did this on purpose shame on you Jackie I wish education would have taught you some manners too At least anybody could come to us talk in this whole hour. Jackie with this behavior not gonna achieve anything in life kindness is the key Once again shame on you Jackie remember this mistreat gonna come back to you soon And Ms Stacey practice manager I left the message for you please reach me back I would appreciate that!!!

Fantastic experience: Doctor Yen is awesome ! And the whole office staff are always friendly. My kids love it here and the atmosphere is always kid friendly. The office is always Clean which is great !

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this place! ALL of the dentist and nurses are AMAZING with my daughter everytime we come. I just like bringing her to see them interact with her. They make it fun and exciting everytime so she is not afraid!! This is the place!!!!

Negative experience: NO! Do not bring your children here!!! Son was not brought back here after his last visit. My son was having fevers , complaining of pain in his gum above the tooth he had a cap put on. I was told he had no infection where the red huge bump was over top of the tooth with the cap, they did say the tooth next to the cap needs a root canal (on a baby tooth!!!) a root canal ! Are you kidding me! I took my son to a new dentist the very next day! I was told by the new dentist that all of my son’s fill ins fell out !! They were just placed a year ago! Bye Chesapeake dental, like How! & he did have a infection & needed the tooth pulled that had the huge bump above the tooth with the cap! He also needed the tooth pulled that was said to need a root canal! And all the other teeth that they had placed caps needed to be pulled at a different time! Please do not take your children here. Infections can kill you! And they are over looked here. They do not do proper dental work!

Negative experience: I arrived at the appointment 10 minutes early to update insurance but had the wrong card. Came back with the correct card 10 minutes after the appointment and I was told I had to reschedule because they wouldn't have time to verify insurance. I am upset because they make you wait in the waiting area longer than that to be seen in the first place! Places that provide service will quickly penalize you but you are expected to sit around and wait for them. They could have easily had me sign saying that I am responsible for payment while they verified insurance but everyone is so "scripted" they don't even try to think of an alternative solution.

Fantastic experience: My experience here was wonderful, barely any wait. Dr. Yen and her assistant Sarah were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! They explained everything and understood my concerns as a parent and helped me feel so much better I will be recommending them to all my family and friends!!!!

Negative experience: I really liked this office and have been taking my kids for years. However this last year I have had to cancel appointments due to my child having an autoimmune disorder and being sick. Both times the EARLIEST they could reschedule was 6 months or more. That is completely ridiculous. So today after it happened again, and it is December (8 months!!) before they could get us back in. We are officially switching dentists now. I am sad because I really liked the staff, but I can’t make my kids go a year plus because I have to cancel because of illness.

Fantastic experience: Took my son here after switching from another dentist and I really love this place. They were so nice and patient with my son, let him walk around the room and explore, talked to him etc everyone here is great!!

Fantastic experience: My youngest has always been terrified of the dentist since Cool Smiles literally strapped him down. Miss Gina worked magic with my 9 year old today. He actually had a good time because of her and let them do everything they needed to. I never thought he would get over his fear but chesapeake pediatric dental made that happen.

Negative experience: I've been bringing all of my children here and have never had a problem until today, the front desk receptionist Jackie was very rude and sassy. I was told that my child would be dismissed from the practice because I missed an apt which I called to reschedule but no one answered the phone, and was told that I scheduled an apt 2 days later which was inaccurate because last I checked her next appointment wasn't until Friday March 8th @10:00 am. I proceeded to ask why? and was told I had a missed apt back in 2021 which makes no sense to me because we are now in 2024 instead of them working with me to see which days and time best fit my schedule they just tell you, you're no loner able to receive services. This is just ridiculous and I am extremely disappointed in the service !!!

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! Gina our hygienist made my kids feel comfortable by introducing them to the instruments and letting them touch them. It was as if they were on a field trip. My 4year old now reminds me she is the boss of floss. I highly recommend you take your kiddos for an awesome dental experience.

Fantastic experience: Uodate: my child fell and had a loose tooth. Once again, they were absolutely awesome in supporting not only my child but me as well. And even had a surprise drawer of toys! This office is awesome! So far 2 visits with my 2 year old. Really simple brushing and routine hygiene education. The staff is familiarizing her with the dentist office and she loves it. All the staff are very kid friendly and they have murals painted on all the walls. Great experience!

Negative experience: Didn't get a chance to even meet a dentist but the office manager was very rude and condescending. Definitely wouldn't recommend talked to a dentist and she didn't care either told me maybe we're having a bad day will be reporting this office.

Fantastic experience: FANTASTIC STAFF WITH INFANTS/TODDLERS!! Took my daughter for her first dentist appointment to the Hanover location (my daughters primary recommended me to take her for her first dentist appointment before she turns 18 months. So I actually went online and found this practice myself. I called to set up the new patient appointment, they emailed me paperwork in advance to fill out which was nice. They explained how the appointment was going to go which helped eased my anxiety about how the appointment was going to go, I was nervous more about my daughter crying and carrying on but their team was very compassionate with their care, once Dr. Yen started brushing her teeth she sang to my daughter which automatically soothed her while getting her teeth brushed. I am looking forward to our 6mo follow up!

Negative experience: I was 16 minutes late and they couldn’t accommodate me. It was my first time late. Last appointment I waited 30 minutes to be seen. So, I guess we as patients have to accommodate them, but they can’t accommodate us. I already switched my son to a different dentist.

Fantastic experience: My son absolutely loves the staff! We have had two wonderful visits. My son will be 3 in May and the staff does so well with him he will sit by himself and let them polish and rinse his teeth just like a big boy. Could not ask for better!

Fantastic experience: Dr.Cho is the absolute best at what she does. I work with her and after seeing how she is with the children at work I just knew my kids would be in good hands at the office with either her or Dr.Yen. You guys have an awesome team on your hands and I LOVE them

Fantastic experience: We switched to this dentist because it was close to home and I’m so grateful we did! The front desk staff was super welcoming and helpful. The hygienist was very friendly and kind. And the dentist took the time to make my toddler feel super comfortable! She was incredible patient and sweet and tools the time to get to know my kiddo!! Very positive experience and looking forward to going back. As a parent, I also appreciated how they had welcoming picture murals in all the rooms instead of technology!

Fantastic experience: My son had his first appt at 2 years old today. He was a bit scared when we first went back, but Dr. Mai was wonderful at helping him warm up. He ended up loving it and even let her brush his teeth and apply fluoride. So happy with the office, everyone was great and I highly recommend

Negative experience: Hello, They have terrible customer service and they play games with ur appointment (were talking about the front desk). They take ur appointment and give it to other people. They have attitudes with us and they werent even trying to help us with our situation. My daughter didnt go to school so she can go to her appointment. We made it 6 months ago and the day before the appointment they cancelled it for no reason. We call to confirm our appointment the day before and they still cancelled it.

Negative experience: Was an Amazing dental practice especially dr Tennessee. Have been bringing my children her for long time. My youngest son 3 years old always gets motion sick in driving all the time. This time he gets sick before the appointment. They refuse to see my other 2 children as well. I drove0 minutes to this location because dr Tennessee. But was very disappointed at the treatment of front desk manager WILL go to different pediatric dentists. So disappointing

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cho is the best. Very professional, personable, and I appreciate how she takes her time to communicate with my son and answer any questions. The Hygienist was also awesome. She was efficient, personal, and professional. I need not to forget the front desk staff (Jennifer) is bomb. Update 3/7/2023 I went back again for my 1 year old and again was impressed. Assistant Amurrisa was awesome. I can't say enough about services.

Positive experience: Great experience. Everyone is so professional and friendly. The only thing is that of you ever forget to confirm your appointment days before, you will loose it and it can take months before a new one is available. Other than that.. they are supper great.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love taking my kids here. As a dental assistant I fully trust everyone and they are very supportive, patient, and great with my toddler. Everyone is great from the front desk to the drs, hygienist, and assistants. I will recommend everyone with kids to bring them here! 11/10!

Fantastic experience: Got referred here by another pediatric dentist a couple years ago for X-rays. My 6 year old had a quick and painless procedure done at the hospital and has been seeing them since. All the staff are very accommodating and efficient. It’s also a beautiful office with a convenient location and parking so that’s a plus.

Fantastic experience: I. LOVE. Dr Yen! She is so nice and friendly towards kids and her bedside manner is top notch. My child had to take one of her teeth out from the office and she didn’t even feel a thing. Dr Yen was quick, gentle, and knew exactly what she was doing and made the child super comfortable. I recommend very highly of her to anyone looking for the best pediatric dentist in the area and highly respect her professional knowledge and expertise (although I want to keep her to ourselves as a hidden Gem ). the staff are also friendly and nice! Fantastic experience: My daughter had her first dentist appointment today and I cannot stop thinking about how well it went. She is 2 years old and I definitely thought she would cry, however the entire visit she did great. Check in was fast and they even took us back early. Our receptionist, hygienist, and dentist were all super pleasant. The dentist was excellent with my daughter and even made her feel comfortable enough that she was able to brush her teeth with no crying or fussing. We love this pediatric dentist!

Fantastic experience: I had forgotten our masks when we had arrived for my sons appt. I called and explained and the woman (I think her name is Shannon ) was incredibly friendly and said they had extra. Great phone manner-clear speaking voice & kind. Check in with her was a breeze. We waited about 10 mins & then called back to the room. The Assistant, Gina was AMAZING with my son who was scared of the X-ray machine. She then had him go ahead & get in the chair for his cleaning. She was sweet, funny and calmed him down. I watched in amazement as his tears dried and he started to smile and talk to her. She was great showing each tool she would be using and letting him touch and ask questions. After his cleaning she took him back to try for the x rays again and she explained everything and showed him and encouraged him. He got through it & no tears! She said he was a rock star-I think they BOTH are! Absolutely nothing negative to say about this office or the kind staff we encountered. My son is even looking forward to his next appointment.

Positive experience: I've been taking my three daughters here for many years. That's the only reason for the 3 stars. Never again after yesterday. Nice and comfortable environment for children however, not for parents receiving excellent customer service. Front desk was rude when I arrived. I made the appointment two weeks ago for my daughters tooth pain. When we arrived, front desk couldn't find her name and said we have to reschedule because they couldn't get a hold of us by phone to confirm the appointment. What? Really? I took off of work, we arrived on time, and you're telling me to reschedule. I've never experienced this type of procedure with medical facilities. Normally, people are penalized with a fee if they don't show up to an appointment or don't cancel it within 24 or 48 hours. I would understand this type of nonsense if this was a surgical procedure. But, this was just a regular appointment to take a look at what was bothering my daughters tooth pain.I also never received a phone call from the office. I did receive an email that confirmed my appointment. So make sure you call the Hanover office "EVERYDAY" to let them know you're coming because you might take off of work for nothing and your child will not be seen when you expect it.

Fantastic experience: Took my 1.5 year old to the office today and let me just say…..I love this office! As someone who works in the dental field I do hold offices to a higher expectation than most people and this office exceeded all of those. The assistant was thorough with my child’s medical history and the wait time between assistant to dentist was non existent. The dentist we saw was AMAZING. Even though my 1.5 year old was crying a little she was able to control the situation and calm my baby down. The amount of patience she kept as well as being able to show me some tips for brushing a toddlers teeth while handling a toddlers emotions was unbelievable. The office worked like a well oiled machine which, to me, is very important. I can’t wait to return for her 6 month check up. If you have any doubt about this office-don’t! You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking my kids here since they were very little. I absolutely love this place! The staff is always so kind, friendly, and helpful. They're always so great with the kids, my kids feel so comfortable going to the dentist. We're also usually in and out pretty quickly, we rarely have to wait for than 5-10 mins to be seen.

Fantastic experience: Check-in was quick and simple. The reception staff were very pleasant. Sarah, the hygienist, did an amazing job helping my son feel at ease. She gave him a thorough cleaning and gave me some good tips to use at home. The dentist was kind and friendly. I would definitely recommend this practice. Fantastic experience: I have been taking my son here for the past 5 years since the age of 2. They are very professional, no long waiting and truly know how to deal with their clientele, children. Today was his first experience with getting a filling, but because he was never anxious, nervous, or afraid to visit, it went well. the technique used and involving the child, like it's no big deal and is very relaxed. I highly recommend.

My son's last dentist was rigid and rude, with his nurses telling me he wasn't good with children. These ppl were a much needed breath of fresh air!!

Fantastic experience: We've been coming to Chesapeake Pediatric Dental Group for 1.5 years now and have been seen by two different dentists (Dr. Yen and Dr. Tennessee). They are both excellent dentists and I highly recommend both. They give excellent advice regarding dental care tips and they are very friendly. The hygenists take their time during the cleaning and the dentists take their time during the consultations. I never feel rushed during our visits which is very important to me. They are also quite engaging with my children during cleanings and procedures. They put my children at ease as soon as they enter the room. The waiting area and bathroom is spotless as well as kid-friendly and the wait time is never more than a few minutes. The staff is always very friendly, accommodating and in a good mood. You can always expect a wonderful experience with Chesapeake Pediatric Dental Group!

Fantastic experience: Amazing team! My son (3 years old) was horrified by his last dental visit (different office) but when we came here they made sure he felt safe, cared for and comfortable! He didn't even want to step foot in the room and the nurses were so nice and patient and tried to make it less scary for him. Dr. Yen engaged with him in such a polite manner she was very patient with him he felt safe and he felt heard! I let them know my son hated fluoride because his last dentist used mint flavored and then told me they have various flavors to make his experience better. Also they put a note on his file to remember for his next visit to try and make it fun! They discussed all the options for his cavities made sure I was informed and Dr. Yen also made sure I saw what she saw she engaged me in the visit and I loved it! My son walked out happy and confident never have been with a better dentist definitely the best I will be changing my older son to this office too!

Fantastic experience: We have hunted for years for a dentist who could put my son at ease. Every place we went, was an epic fail, and he'd freak out. Well not any more! Dr. Yen is absolutely amazing! My 8 year old has been twice due to an infection, and today he hopped right in the chair and was calm and cool as a cucumber. It is absolutely amazing, that even while talking about extractions, he is so willing to go back in a month. It makes my heart so very happy and I am so very grateful for her and the rest of the staff at Chesapeake pediatric dental. Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: They are amazing from the front door to the back . We were greeted with professionalism and care , my granddaughter wasn’t a number she was a patient, asked how she was doing explain the process. We then went into the office greeted by an incredible team, her doctor asked her questions and explained the process and eased her fears. I have never seen a dentist go step by step assuring her of each step . I was waiting for screaming and tears it never came . They are the best dental group around . Thank you thank you thank you .

Fantastic experience: Chesapeake Pediatric Dental Group is an awesome place to bring your children!!! The Dentist, Dental Assistants and front desk staff were all awesome and nice! My daughter had the best dental experience ever and I’m in the dental field, They really impressed me. You guy’s are stuck with us until my daughter turns 18, LOL.

Fantastic experience: We love, love, love this dental office!! The staff and doctors are the best, they really are!! My 2 kids go here and have been since their very first dentist apts and they always make them feel so safe, comfortable and just all around in good hands. Even for us parents they make sure we know what's going and explains everything, every step of the way. My daughter thankfully hasn't had anything but regular check ups, my son on the other hand has had to have 4 cavities filled since his first visit and they explain everything that is going to happen/ use on him, they let him feel the tools first just so he knows what to expect and they never even know they get shots in their gums!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a dentist for their children.

Fantastic experience: We receive stellar service every visit! The doctor and dental hygenist are pleasant and eager to answer all questions, and they are good at making the appointments very comfortable. My son actually looks forward to his visits!

Fantastic experience: The whole staff is very polite and friendly. My 8 year old loved the dentist who worked with him, she is highly professional and wonderful with kids. The building is clean and updated. My experience there was excellent and I recommend anyone with a kid to go to that dentist.

Fantastic experience: Very good with my two tots ( 2 and 3.5) We are military and live in Fort Meade so it’s in a convenient place for us right next to the mall. They talk to my children and ask them questions and I love that because it makes them feel like big girls and it makes my kids want to brush their teeth. This place deserves five stars alone just for interactions with my kids.

Fantastic experience: My son is very difficult with strangers and the dentist was amazing! She sang to him while doing his cleaning and was so so gentle! From the staff to the office atmosphere and to the doctor, everything and everyone is really friendly and clean!

Fantastic experience: Took my son in for his first visit here. Great staff, very friendly from the moment you walk in. The dentist was great at explaining and they are patient and kind to kids. My son did not want to go to the dentist but now can’t wait to go back. I don’t ever leave reviews but they deserve it.

Fantastic experience: I love Chesapeake Pediatric Dental Group! My son is autistic and this Dental Group is amazing with him!! In the beginning they took things slow with my son at each visit and made him feel safe and comfortable. Now he looks forward going to the dentist.

Negative experience: My daughter's first dentist visit was awesome they were very friendly and patient. My daughter and I did not have any bad experiences in this place. However, her second annual check-up. A lady was helping the hygienic was rude and a couple of times told my daughter "no". I was involving all the time when my daughter wanted to touch the stuff that she should not be. I did not like that the nurse gets involved and warning my child. She has Autism and we are not using the words "NO" for her. They should have trained their staff to not get involved with the child in this way unless the mother is not involving. She had a tantrum after about an hour. This place for children if you hire a person who does not have the patience for a child, this place is useless. I don't think I am returning for her check-up.
