Fantastic experience: Very caring staff

Fantastic experience: Dr. Forbes is the best dentist I’ve ever had. He is very down to earth and explains things thoroughly when it comes to treatment. He has done some fillings and crowns for me and there have been no issues and it feels like my natural teeth. Bri the hygenist is pretty awesome too and always cleans my teeth perfectly!

Negative experience: I had been a loyal patient at this dental office for 15 years under Dr. Bickle, and the experience completely fell apart after he left. The new management and staff have been the worst I have ever dealt with in any medical or dental office in over 50 years. They mishandled my insurance so badly that I ended up paying more than $3,000 out of pocket because of THEIR mistakes. When I contacted my insurance company directly, they confirmed the error was entirely on the dental office’s side. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff were rude, dismissive, and even threatened me with collections over charges that should never have happened in the first place. The professionalism, care, and trust that once existed in this office are completely gone. Any positive reviews you see were earned by the previous team, not the current one. I have never experienced such unprofessional, aggressive, and careless treatment from a dental office in my life. I would strongly warn anyone considering this place to think twice before trusting them with your care or your finances.

Positive experience: I hadn’t been there for a couple years and most of the staff has changed. My original dentist has moved out of state, which I wasn’t informed about when I scheduled this appointment, although, the staff that is there now are all very friendly and professional. I met the new dentist briefly and was impressed. Overall it was a good experience .

Negative experience: Sadly I only knew later on but this practice is not very experience with crown and implant. My implant only lasted 9 years, when it typically should last 25 years - lifetime. When I moved and visited a better dental practice, I found out that the crown they used had too much gap with the next teeth, and doesn't account for the fact that I have heavy bruxism. I remembered asking the doctor for the option to use gold crown instead of zirconia crown due to heavy grinding, but the doctor dismissed my question quickly without giving any satisfactory answer, and just say that zirconia is very good (it wasn't, not suitable for me).

Special shout out to Wana—she is so happy and kind and she spent probably 15 minutes explaining and giving in depth answers to questions I had. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I broke a crown on my molar and had to get a replacement. This part of my mouth has been trapping food for years. I told this to the dentist, Adam Forbes, and he was able to do a few adjustments with the new crown. I no longer have that problem - So happy!

Negative experience: While I absolutely love my dental hygienist there, I'm disappointed that I did not get any notification that my dentist, Dr. Bickel (who was amazing as many of these reviews attest to) had left the practice or that there was a new dentist. The new dentist said communication would be sent soon while the front desk person (who was annoyed and slightly rude) said she did send something. It all seems odd and not how the practice had been run for so many years. I have been there for almost 20 years and will be looking for a new dentist.

Positive experience: Update September 2025. Dr Bickel is no longer there. There was no formal announcement. FYI. Another great experience! Dr Bickel and his staff are the best! The patient care is top priority, second is a fun appointment. I highly recommend this dental office.

I’ve always had a lot of anxiety about dental visits, so I was honestly pretty nervous to go. But from the moment I walked in, the team completely put me at ease. Chloe and the rest of the staff are not only incredibly knowledgeable about every little detail when it comes to dental health, but they also have such a kind and calming way about them. They helped me tackle some long-standing issues I’d been putting off for years, and made the whole process so much easier than I ever imagined. I have a lot of teeth sensitivity areas and usually I have to ask hygienists to resort to manual cleaning but Bri figured out how to clean my teeth in a comfortable way with the vibrating tool and she always does the cleaning quickly.

Fantastic experience: This is the absolute best dentists’ office I have been to. They office staff is very warm and friendly, and I always feel welcomed when I come in. Dr. B is also super personable and does a great job remembering his patients are human and not just patients. 10/10 would recommend anyone, especially if they have a fear of the dentist like I used to! Fantastic experience: I’m scared of the dentist but I feel very comfortable here with everyone who has worked on my teeth. I had an emergency appointment for a toothache and got an appointment quickly. Since then I’ve had my teeth cleaning and two cavity appointments. Other dentists that I have gone to have been mean to me about my teeth (I don’t have bad teeth) but here it was just the service and I was out of there quickly. They are also very nice and gave me a blanket for my 7am appointment because I was cold. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Bickel in 2015 then left the area a few years later. I just moved back within a 3 hour drive, and it is worth the drive. Both Dr. Bickel and his staff keep up on the latest in dentistry, and it shows. Had my first major dental surgery at 53 years of age, and it was painless and easy. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: I did significant dentist research within the Redmond, Kirkland, and Bellevue area. With a recommendation from a coworker, I went with Redmond Art of Dentistry. I was immediately greeted by the ever-cheerful and charismatic Davina Jones (Sweet Dee) at the front desk who goes above and beyond in assisting you with any concerns you may have. Dr. Bickel and Oana are amazing. If you're the inquisitive type, I highly encourage you to ask questions as they have always provided accurate and insightful answers. And I've asked dozens of technical questions. I can't stress how important it is that everyone in the office has factual feedback. Another dope part is that they care about you. That's another vital factor when looking for physicians. Are they interested in you? They legit care. Highly recommend them. And don't hesitate to ask questions about anything at all.

Davina in the front desk always keep ups with your appointments, send reminders, and make sure that you can get there when you need it! Fantastic experience: I have to say, I'm always skeptical about going to a new dentist, but I had to do what needed to be done and I was amazed at how awesome the experience was! The staff was extremely courteous and friendly and Dr. Bickel was a pleasure to work with. This is, by far, the best dental office I've ever experienced. Cannot recommend enough! Will go again 10/10. Update October 2023 I’ve been back a few times now and would like to confirm my original posting is still 100% on point. Best dentist office this side of the Mississippi for sure, possibly even the other side too.

Negative experience: I had chosen this clinic seeing Dr. Bickel's good credentials. However, my first dental filling appointment with him was below expectation, something I had never experienced before in my 20 years of visiting innumerable dentists. This appointment came after my initial consultation with him. Thought the filling procedure was swiftly done, Dr. Bickel hardly communicated with me throughout the entire one hour except an introductory hello. Even when I asked him questions regarding my condition, he kept quiet, and his nurse on the other hand, answered on his behalf. If anything during the procedure was causing me pain, he was stoic, no reaction; again his nurse stepped in. She was great in terms of making me feel at ease and communicating the entire procedure in live. I will give her 10/10. But I have consulted innumerable dentists before, but never seen such a dentist who never speaks during the entire visit. Even when the filling was done, and I got up and turned around to ask him something, he was gone! At that point, I really felt weird; because the doctor should atleast be present to ask if everything was fine and answer any of my questions. The clinic charges quite hefty amounts for procedures, so I am not sure why Dr. Bickel is so cold and unresponsive towards his patients, as if he was doing me a favor or doing treatment at subsidized costs. Even then I think, dentists are not so cold. It was as if the nurse was the doctor and not him! I am highly disappointed. Hope he rectifies his attitude else he will lose patients for sure.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bickel is amazing. He isn't pushy like some dentists and respects the patients wishes. He also isnt trying to upsell you and make an extra buck like my last dentist. He seems to genuinely care about what is best for the patient and he always does an amazing job! I also love all of the staff from the front desk to the hygienists. This place is the best!

Fantastic experience: I've only ever had great experiences at this clinic! The exam chairs lean back to have you pointed straight at a TV with subtitles, changed to any popular channel you like while your teeth are cleaned instead of staring at the ceiling. All the hygienists and techs and front desk staff and kind and funny and able to keep up conversation no matter how early it is in the day. Any questions I have are answered completely, and the techs give advice to keep your teeth as clean as possible while also taking into consideration time and money. Scheduling is always easy and convenient, and can be done in office, over the phone, on the site, and even over text. Their insurance coordinators are fantastic as well.

I didn't develop the best of dental habits growing up but everyone here has been super accommodating, put me at ease, have been doing great work in helping me be proud of my smile and take pride in maintaining better oral health.

Fantastic experience: There's nothing I fear more than going to the dentist. With that being said, Doctor Bickel and his staff have gone above and beyond to meet my needs and reduce my anxiety as much as possible. I've gotten cleanings, dental work, and I'm in the process of straightening my teeth with ClearCorrect aligners. What I love the most about coming here is that I'm met with the same friendly faces each time I come. I don't have to get acquainted with an ever rotating set of staff and that means a lot to me. They're also very prompt. I never have to spend time in the waiting room. That helps a lot with my anxiety as well. While I can't say I love anything about going to the dentist, I must say that there's no other dentist I'd rather go to!

He paid attention to my all my concerns and addressed everything in detail. I spent most of my time here with Oana who I'm guessing is the assistant. She is a true angel! Having had an unpleasant experience at a previous place, I was pretty nervous to go in but she put me at ease, treated me warmly, and took care of me in the best way possible! I am so so thankful to her and I'm not going to postpone my dental treatments ever again.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for incredibly friendly staff and recognition upon each return, this is the place for you. After a serious bicycle accident I went to see Dr. Bickel, who had seen my husband for general dentistry. When we arrived, the concern and care for me and my injuries and my presence in the office was immediate. Virginia, Davina and Oana couldn’t have made me feel more welcome in the wake of a traumatic experience that will require Dr. Bickel, along with 2 other local professionals working together to create a plan for me. In my past I’ve actually needed Valium for teeth cleaning so this obviously is not something I look forward to. What I do look forward to is the staff interaction and being treated with tenderness and familiarity.

Fantastic experience: The entire team from the reception staff, hygienists, and Dr. Bickel make coming here great every single time. Everyone is very upbeat and personable and makes the anxiety I have much lower and will always explain steps and processes in detail so that clients have the full information when they go in.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Nickel has been my dentist for nearly a decade. I first met him while having something of an emergency, and he and his staff have been there for me ever since. Cleanings, fillings, now an implant; all of them handled professionally, as painlessly as modern medicine could allow, and with utmost care for me and my dental health. Throughout this pandemic period, the office has been taking every precaution to look out for everyone's health. I wholeheartedly, and enthusiastically recommend Redmond Art of Dentistry, even though I've moved farther from Redmond, I still make the trip, and suggest you do as well.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Dr Bickel for many years now and he and his staff are great. I can't say I love going to the dentist in general, but the whole office and staff makes the appointment really as comfortable as it can be. I also appreciate his honesty on what needs to be done and if it's urgent or not, I always felt like my old dentist tried to oversell me on unnecessary items, not at this office! They also have a TV set on the ceiling to distract you (HGTV and tooth cleaning go very well together), so all in all, the best dentist around.

Fantastic experience: Awesome staff! Definitely makes going to the dentist less stressful. They also have tv’s you can watch on the ceiling while getting your teeth cleaned. I’ve moved away from the Redmond area, yet still choose to come back here. If you need a dentist in the Redmond area this is a great option.

Fantastic experience: I have to say Dr. Bickel is by far one of the best dentists I have ever had! I have been coming here since before he took over and I continue to make the drive now even after I moved away because of the care I get not only from Dr. Bickel but his amazing staff! One of the biggest things that stand out is a little over a year ago my toddler fell face first onto the cement and his tooth was hurt. Dr. Bickel took the emergency call from me (it was after hours) and reassured me that his tooth was going to be ok, and then followed up the next week to make sure he was doing ok. Any time I can, I recommend to people who are looking for a good dentist to look them up. :)

Fantastic experience: They were able to see my husband very quickly who was truly suffering from a toothache. We do not have dental insurance because my father is a dentist in Kansas and with the pandemic, we haven't been able to get back to him for any dental procedures. With that being said, they worked with us on the prices. Whenever we walk into the lobby, we're greeted and embraced like old friends. Dr. Bickle is incredibly knowledgeable and explains to you what and why he's doing what he's doing. My husband felt very comfortable in his chair and left with great results.
