Negative experience: I will not be returning to this dental office due to the disrespectful treatment I received from the front desk staff. I recently welcomed a new addition to my family, and I am still learning how to navigate the insurance process and understand the requirements for obtaining coverage. Unfortunately, I was unable to provide the necessary insurance information until the day before my scheduled appointment. I called the office to apologize and explain that I would not be able to attend the appointment because I had not yet obtained the necessary information. I understand that this situation was my responsibility, and I take accountability for the inconvenience. However, the way the front desk staff spoke to me was extremely rude and disrespectful. I understand that office policies must be followed, but there is no reason for a customer to be treated unprofessionally, especially when they are making an effort to communicate honestly and apologize. The conversation ended with the staff member telling me that I could find another dentist. I found this response unacceptable and disappointing. No patient should be made to feel unwelcome when trying to resolve a situation in good faith. As a result of this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Unfortunately, this office has lost a customer because of the way this interaction was handled. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the importance of respectful and professional communication with patients. A little kindness and understanding can make a significant difference in someone's experience.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cho got me in same day when I had 2 fillings pop out the night before an important meeting. I called at 8am and they had me in by 850am. I was out the door with 2 new fillings which fixed my smile by 1030am. I've been a patient of Dr Cho's for 8 years now and this is a great example of the reason why.

The office was clean and comfortable except for the chairs in the waiting room. They are not suited for tall people or for those with problems in their backs and legs.

Everyone was very nice, professional, and made sure to ask me if I had any questions and if all my questions was answered before leaving. I will be returning to this practice. I left feeling very confident in the dentist and the work that will be done to my teeth in the near future.

Positive experience: Dr. Cho and team are very professional, and detailed in the service they provide. But, the mission statement for Opitz Family Dental is misleading, and unfortunately thats because of one person, one receptionist. The mission statement states a "welcoming environment", this would be true if not for one of the receptionist. She's very rude; phone calls, voicemails, and unfortunately this is usually the first person you interact with once you enter the building. The environment is cold and unwelcoming, and not because of the temperature. Again, one receptionist negates part of the mission statement, "ensuring you receive the highest quality dental care in a FAMILY-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT". My imagine of a "Family Friendly Environment" is just that, a business I would bring my Family, My Wife and My kids. I would never feel comfortable bringing my kids to this location, because of ONE receptionist. My Wife and I stayed with Opitz Family Dental because we are loyal to our "Village", we started with this practice when the location was operated by Dr. Marilyn Coleman, DDS. Over 15yrs with one Dentist office. With inflation of prices, and the value of my dollar, I'll take my business to where I feel welcome and not just another customer with a dollar amount assigned to my chart!!!

Fantastic experience: We recently changed dental offices to this one and let me tell you they were terrific. Their customer service/front desk team made the whole process of getting our record’s transferred and set up super easy. The sent plenty of reminders so you wont forget your appointment date and time. The whole team from Doctor Cho to the dental hygienist’s were very courteous, showing great expertise and genuine concern for my dental hygiene. They did great job on my cleaning and I left my appointment feeling well taken care of. I would recommend their services to anyone. *Update* our daughter recently had fillings done for a handful of cavities. Bringing your little ones to a dental appointment can be daunting; Depending on what work is getting done, your child's tolerance level for discomfort/pain and their previous experiences with a dentist, all factor into how well an appointment is going to go. Dr. Cho and the technician at hand showed great care and situational awareness during the appointment; as our daughter started to become uneasy and move about they were able to successfully calm her down and take intermittent breaks. Which allowed our daughter to regain her composure and the filling to proceed. The whole team over at Opitz dental from the front receptionist’s desk to the dental assistant’s and hygienist’s; continues to show great customer service, excellent bedside manner, genuine care for their patrons. Highly recommend their dental services. *Update* second full year of services provide by the professionals over at Opitz Family Dental! As we enter into the new year; Dr. Cho and his team continue to provide great dental service to my family. During an annual check up; His team identified a cavity that needed filling from one of our kiddos. During the filling appointment. Dr. Cho took a high resolution picture of the tooth where I could actually see the bits of food and debris that was eating away at our sons tooth. (probably causing my son some discomfort that he is unwilling to admit, as he is responsible for brushing his own teeth). Dr.Cho and his assistant continued to work displaying great bedside manner talking with my son explaining what each tool that will be used to fixed his cavity. My son is a questions sort of fella (as most kids are), but this helped him to relax; which allowed Dr.Cho to continue on with the filling no fuss or tears.(Even when applying the local anesthetic). Anyways great job! my family continues to appreciate your professionalism and family atmosphere at Opitz Family Dental Update* Having approached 3 years of being with Dr.Cho anf Opitz family dental, we just had our third child (4yo) have their first check up and it went so well. The entire team helped her feel comfortable during the visit and of course the treasure box at the end was the highlight of the dental trip. Great job Opitz Family Dental you guys continue provide outstanding service!

Negative experience: My appointment was on a Monday and I started running a fever on Sunday. I called first thing in the morning, before the office even officially opened to reschedule, and they told me it would be a $50 fee without a doctors note. If my appointment was on a Tuesday and I called on a Monday to reschedule I wouldn’t have to have a doctors note so that policy is BS. I’m going in the office even though I’m sick because I’m not going to be charged a $50 fee and I won’t be returning. Which stinks because I’ve never had a bad experience at this office, I’ve been going for years and travel 45 minutes from my home to continue to go to the office because I like the dentist. There are a lot of options for dentists in the area and this experience has made up my mind to find a new office since this office doesn’t seem to give any leeway for their rescheduling practices, even in the event of sickness.

Fantastic experience: Let me start off saying that I love this dentist office! I've been coming here for years and the same faces remember me! I love Serena and Sue! They are so sweet and they always make my visit so comforting! I love how they remember the little things I tell them about myself! After 6 months I get the greeting of, "omg Victoria how have you been? How are those babies!!" It's genuine and caring. I have a dentist office near my house, walking distance...but I'd rather make the trip to go see these lovely people! They also answer the phone right away!! Can't forget about Doctor Cho!!! He's literally the sweetest! The way he handles his patients and how much he cares! As well as knowing little details about his employees! I thought it would be a hassle to go to the dentist ... but coming here is enjoyable. I appreciate everyone here and I hope other places could learn from this practice!

Negative experience: DO NOT TRUST THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. Go see their negative Yelp Reviews about this rude receptionist. I did not find this practice professional based on my interaction with the staff on 10/26/2023. The office building numbers can be a bit confusing. I called to ask for clarification because I only saw 225 and 235. I did not see their office (220.) The receptionist was very unhelpful and rude. She asked if it be helpful if she stood outside the office. After walking around and not finding the building, she called my phone back and told me she didn’t see me. I walked to the back of the building and I found 220 (their office.) The receptionist proceeded to continue her rude tone. She told me that I was supposed to come at 11:30 for my 12:00 PM appointment to fill out patient forms. I did plan to come early but I explained to her that I was lost and it took me awhile because of the building numbers. This entire experience was uncalled for and made me cry in the middle of my appointment. I never planned to deal with a rude receptionist. While I was crying, the dental assistant hinted to me that this is a normal occurrence with this particular receptionist. If I knew that the staff was going to be rude, I would have planned to go somewhere else to establish dental care. I will never come back to this practice. The dentist and dental assistant were nice but I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. If the business owner sees my review, please email me my dental x-rays so I can seek care at another practice. I refuse to call the office because the receptionist makes me uncomfortable. Edit: to respond to the owner’s review reply: the dental assistant did indeed hint that the receptionist is always in a bad mood. She said “she’s always like that” referring to the receptionist’s bad attitude. You all should check your cameras before accusing me of lying. Also, I did not call 40 minutes after my requested appointment time. My appointment was scheduled at 12:00 pm. You all can’t request patients to come 30 minutes prior to appointments because you are short of office staff. This practice is very unprofessional!! The receptionist I’m referring to is an Asian lady. I believe her name is “Soup” or Sue.

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give Opitz and Dr. Cho ten stars! This is my third visit, and every visit has been outstanding. Dr. Cho and his staff are kind and professional. Above all, Dr. Cho is honest about the treatment plan, explains every step patiently in plain english, and is very detailed and thorough. At my most recent visit where I had to get a crown, he was very diligent looking at my xrays, removing rotten parts of my molar tooth (and making sure I am not in pain!), examining the crown was structurally sound, and making sure the crown fit properly. Three weeks later, I am happy to report that my tooth feels awesome thanks to Dr. Cho. No issues whatsoever - you wouldn't even know that there's a crown! Thank you for taking such good care of me!

Fantastic experience: I went to Opitz Family Dental for teeth extraction. First, I was skeptical when I made an appointment with them. But when I entered their clinic, the staff members were straightforward and polite. It didn't take so long before one of the dental associates called me to be seen by Dr. Cho. I wasn't comfortable at first until I met Dr. Cho personally. I ask Dr. Cho some relevant questions concerning my dental needs to ease my tension and feel comfortable. With his knowledge, professionalism, and flexibility, he answered me politely and respectfully, which gave me comfort and confidence during my entire visit. Dr. Cho always asked me if I was okay during the whole procedure, especially when I felt a little sting from the needle. I highly recommend Opitz Family Dental to my family, friends, and relatives.

Fantastic experience: Had my bridge of 10+ years replaced. They made sure I was happy every step of way, the initial bridge came back and I wasn’t happy and they sent it back to lab to correct. The my listened to all my concerns, were patient with me and made sure I was completely happy with the end product.

Fantastic experience: When a young Korean doctor naught a clinic from Dr. Coleman who retired, I was a little bit worried. Once I moved away from this clinic to another. But the other doctor was always picking on very small cavities and prescribed very expensive procedures, so I came back. He looks young but I was told that he is not as young as I thought he was. I’m very happy with his diagnosis and he is taking time for me to know what is wrong with my teeth. I’m sticking to his clinic from now on.
