Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience! The entire team is friendly, professional, and makes every visit comfortable. The dentist is knowledgeable, gentle, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. Highly recommend Golden Peak Dental.

Negative experience: I switched to this dental practice at the recommendation of my husband. Before my visit we looked on the website to confirm that they accepted my insurance. And when I scheduled my appointment they called to confirm my insurance information. There was no mention of the fact that they were out of network with my insurance! At my appointment there was no warning either. A couple months later i receive a bill of $150 as my insurance was unwilling to cover the full cost of services! Never in my life have I paid that much for a cleaning and exam. I didn’t even get an x ray - and I’m glad I didn’t! I can’t imagine how much more I would have ended up paying. Ive never owed a cent after insurance with the dentists I’d seen prior to this. Note to dental staff: The average patient with insurance is not expecting to pay out of pocket for a cleaning. To any potential patient reading this - double confirm that your insurance is in network. Just because your insurance is accepted does not mean it is in network. The staff won’t bother to warn you if it isn’t.

Fantastic experience: I am always apprehensive of going to the Dentist, and being new to the area, I was not looking forward to finding a new Dentist. However, I stumbled upon this place at random and am reporting that I had a very pleasant experience. I had some dental work that required 4 appointments, and everyone was pleasant and friendly every step of the way. I dealt with Addie, Dr. Ashley, Jess, and the receptionists, all of whom were super friendly and made the process more bearable. This will be my go-to dentist, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area!

I came across Golden Peak Dental and I am so happy I did. Brittany was willing to work with me and have patience while I work through insurance issues! Their communication was absolutely fantastic! I really appreciate her taking the time and going back-and-forth with me to ensure I could still be seen. I have never been to a dentist office that was willing take their time, educate, be so kind, patient, and make me feel so comfortable. Kenna was absolutely delightful. She made me feel comfortable, took her time, was so gentle, reassured me, and educated me about how to help me with my dental health! Dr. Scherbenske was also truly amazing. She was patient, answered all questions, and made sure I was able to feel confident about my check up! All-in-all, go to a place that cares about your dental health. This place is it! Kenna was my hygienist and she always made sure I knew what was going on and also made sure everything was good on my end while cleaning, overall she absolutely crushed it. 10/10 recommend scheduling with Golden Peak Dental, the best dental experience I’ve every had.

Positive experience: Good experience with hygienist. Frustrating experience with billing. I made a point every step along the way to ask what was covered by insurance and what would cost extra. Hygienist did tell me that so things would cost extra, such as a fluoride rinse, that I agreed to. I paid the extra when I left, and was told that I was good. I was surprised to see a bill for $233.83 on my health insurance app. I contacted Golden Peak Dental, who said that number was incorrect, but I did owe $82.26. That the code the hygienist used was covered at 80%, not 100%. I’m not sure what else I could have done to have avoided surprise charges.

Fantastic experience: I have always experienced significant anxiety about visiting the dentist, but Golden Peak Dental completely changed that for me. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the receptionist, whose warmth and kindness immediately put me at ease and helped alleviate my nerves. During my cleaning, Kenna was exceptional. She took the time to clearly explain each step of the process, patiently answered all of my questions, and ensured I was comfortable throughout the appointment, including making sure I was properly numbed. I did need a small cavity filled, and Dr. Ashley and her assistant handled the procedure with remarkable professionalism and efficiency. I was completely comfortable and felt no pain at all. After the procedure, when I experienced some minor discomfort, the office was incredibly responsive and willing to accommodate me on very short notice, within an hour. I am genuinely looking forward to future dental visits, something I never thought I would say after decades of dental anxiety. The only minor drawback was that the office was a bit difficult to locate within the building on my first visit. Otherwise, this has been an outstanding experience, and I highly recommend Golden Peak Dental

Fantastic experience: I came here initially to get a previously botched root canal fixed. I was nervous. But everyone has been so nice. Dr. Ashley listened to my concerns and anxieties about being at the dentist. Her assistant Jess was amazing as well. I also did a cleaning with Kenna, she was great and explained everything! After having the worst time at a dentist 6 years ago vowing I would never go back (in a different state) and then going here I would highly recommend them.

Thorough teeth cleaning and fantastic hygienists. If you can get an appointment- do it!

Negative experience: Today’s experience was nothing short of upsetting. I showed up for a 3 pm appointment (that I waited five weeks for). I’m a local attorney in the area and had to take off my afternoon to come. My usual hygienist who I love - Kenna -, was unable to see me because of the office scheduling conflict. So instead they had me with a fill in hygienist who was only here for the day. I was not notified even one hour before telling me there was a scheduling error. If I was, I would have simply picked a new date. What was worse is that the billing manager, Britt, was rude and aggressive. She told me I’d have to pay the cancellation fee. I argued with her and said that I’m not going to pay a cancellation fee, simply because their office made a scheduling error and I couldn’t see my usual hygienist. I asked for a future date, and told me that “we aren’t on the same page.” Very weird. I told her I didn’t understand what we weren’t “on the same page” about. I like my hygienist, and want to stay with her. I booked an appointment in September, but I do agree, that I’m not on the same page with an office who treats a long time patient (my husband also goes here) like that. And who tries to make me pay for their mismanagement and mistake. This office used to be the best. It’s family run and it was the most personable experience. Today I was shoved in with a random hygienist who doesn’t work there, and then aggressively told I’d have to pay for their scheduling error. Go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: We are new to the city and were nervous to find a good dental office. We definitely lucked out with this one! My hygienist (Apologies, started with a “K”) explained everything very thoroughly and took her time to educate me on proper dental cleaning. Dr. V was also very kind and clear on what to expect. The receptionist was also nice and accommodating. I love the family feel of the office with the staff/family photos… Gives it a less corporate vibe! :)

Fantastic experience: Love coming to see the Golden Peak team! They are knowledgeable, kind, and make every visit a pleasure! I have some gum recession and they gave me a topical numbing cream which took away all of the sensitivity I have had during cleanings, which is such a relief. We also started bringing our toddlers and they have been amazing with helping them get comfortable with going to the dentist. I’d highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Golden Peak Dental for several years and I look forward to my appointment every time. I see Sheridan to get my teeth cleaned and she is so personable, friendly and caring, not to mention excellent at cleaning teeth. She takes her time and when I leave my teeth look and feel amazing! I recently brought my two young kids in for their first teeth cleaning and she made them feel so comfortable they are asking me to go back! I also had difficulty with a veneer that was put on by another dentist when I was in college and my gums were always irritated and bleeding. Dr. Visscher replaced the veneer and it looks perfect and my gums are happy and healthy again. He really knows what he's doing and that's hard to find! I trust them completely and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOLDEN PEAK DENTAL. A patient carried forward from prior dentist and am so very happy I remained as Dr. Visscher and his team took over and created Golden Dental. I have always been welcoming of my biannual cleanings, but as I approach my late 50s issues are arising with increasing complications and some increased pain sensitivity. Greatly appreciate the care the GPD team takes to minimize my pain and other issues while providing terrific dental care.

Fantastic experience: *edit update* I’ve now had several procedures done here and my opinion remains the same. Dr. Visscher and his team are awesome. I love their office and their service. My mother also adores this place and she’s the world’s pickiest person ;) so that is saying a lot! *End update* I have been to a lot of dentists. I’ve lived on the east coast, west coast and now I’ve settled in Colorado. This office is hands down the best office I’ve ever been to. I thought I received great care before, but turns out there’s some wacky stuff going on in my mouth. Dr. Visscher was extremely clear on what he would recommend as well as giving options at every price point. It was refreshing to have someone finally be honest with me about what it would take to get the results I want. While this is the beginning of my dental “journey” with the office I am actually looking forward to my next apt. They know how to make patients feel at ease, and they offer snacks so obviously they’ve won me over forever .

Positive experience: Dr Visscher, hygienists and assistants are excellent, so I will continue to be a patient in spite of the office manager. Brittany had no interest in what caused the ball to be dropped during my last appointment (x-rays lost, insurance claim ignored). Her only concern was making sure today's bill was paid (which I had every intention of doing); her "help" included a generous amount of snark. If you can avoid dealing with her, your experience at Golden Peaks Dental will be positive.
