Fantastic experience: I love Serena Smiles! I was referred here years ago by a friend when I lived in Huntington Beach, and I’ve been a loyal patient ever since. I’ll be honest — I’ve always dreaded the dentist. For years I felt unheard or dismissed when sharing concerns about my dental health, with my worries minimized and the advice always reduced to “just brush and floss more.” Dr. Ta completely changed that experience for me. She genuinely listens, prioritizes my comfort, and has an incredible gentle touch — I never feel a thing, even through a root canal and wisdom tooth extraction! I also love the whole Ta family team. Christine at the front desk is warm, welcoming, and always makes sure I fully understand my payment options. Tracy Ta I believe also does my cleanings and creates such a judgment-free environment — she never makes me feel bad about my flossing habits and does a fantastic job every time. Every single staff member has been kind and attentive across all my visits. I recommend Serena Smiles to everyone I know and can’t imagine going anywhere else! ♥️

Fantastic experience: Been thinking about invisalign for a while now but swept it under the rug for a while just because my teeth aren’t terrible and it would just be a slight adjustment. Finally after 4 years of thinking about it I finally consulted at a few spots. Serene Smiles Dental was my last stop to get another opinion on it and make sure the quotes I was getting elsewhere was within the same price range. What made me ultimately decided on this spot to go through with my treatment was how knowledgeable and kind everyone at the office was. Dr. Phu was the one that did my consult, Christine was the one that that helped me with the price break down and helps with my scans and the a kind gentlemen did all of my other scans. They weren’t pushy, they told me that I could take the price breakdown home and think about what was going to be best for me either paying in full, payment plans and/or insurance. Glad I decided to do one last consult here. Love the space and loved the team. Would recommend to all of my friends or family. Also wanted to note, I decided to do the suresmile aligners!

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with this dental practice from beginning to end. During my initial visit, they performed a comprehensive cleaning and provided clear explanations. They suggested addressing three cavities with fillings, which I returned for during my second appointment, and the entire procedure was executed smoothly and comfortably. Fantastic experience: Dr. Ta and her entire Team make what is normally a less than pleasant time going to the dentist an enjoyable experience across the board. They treat you like a client with an established relationship rather then just another patient, taking the time to explain and communicate effectively whatever the purpose or procedure they will be performing while there for your visit.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ta and her staff were very friendly and professional. I had a bit of an emergency with a broken Crown and I was able to get an immediate Appointment. Xrays were performed within 10 minutes of walking in the door. I was impressed that the office was equipped with the latest in technology including a Lab that builds the new Crown in house. Pain-free, I left same day with a beautiful, stronger Zircanium ( titanium) than my older, weaker resin/ porcelain Crown. These people were the best and I will be back in a couple weeks for routine exam and cleaning. Impressed!

Fantastic experience: This dental clinic is truly amazing. Doctors and staff show they care very much about your dental health and well being in general.

Positive experience: Dentist was great, but assistant didn’t seem to fully know what she was doing. Several times she had a tube in my mouth when the dentist asked me to close my mouth. Like five times in a row. She also jammed the chair into my arm a few times while she was sitting in it and holding the tubes. At one point somebody came into the room while the dentist had the drill going in my mouth and surprised her enough that she jumped back and pulled the drill out of my mouth. Outside of that, the work the dentist did was great. My mouth looks really good now and I felt no pain. I would give Dr. Ta five stars, but the assistants made the experience pretty awful so I downgraded my overall score to three stars. This was the first of two experiences in the office where the work itself was great, but the assistants were not. I look forward to this being rectified on my next visit so I can give the office a five-star review.

I've been seeing Dr. Ta and Dr. Phu for the last few years and it's worth the trip for me to come from San Diego to see them. They're very patient with me and answer any questions or concerns I have. They also don't pressure me to get unnecessary procedures and suggest more novel (and more affordable) alternatives with scientific backing. My wife and I always leave happy! Fantastic experience: This is a special place. All the paperwork are web based. This makes the entire process from booking appointments to filling forms can be done easily. That's that. The main reason for my highest rating is the dentist. She is so professional, great at what she does, and has a way of explaining complex medical procedures in easy to understand language. All insurance and Medicaid are accepted.

They sent me a link to fill out some super easy forms that took less than 5 minutes, no paper forms! Once I walked in, they immediate greeted me by my first name and walked me to the room with no delay. Their friendly staff were warm and kind and very caring. Fantastic experience: Serene Smiles is the best clinic! I started coming here over a year ago and all the staff has been exceptional. I recently had severe pain from one of my molars. They were able to see me the same day I called. Dr. Phu was very thorough and found that I had cracked my molar. Initially she mentioned I would need a root canal and crown, and I scheduled an appointment for the work. On my following appointment she determined I only needed a crown since the crack wasn’t as bad; any other place would’ve done the root canal, but Dr. Phu is honest and only wanted what was best for me. The whole staff has made me feel valued. I definitely recommend this clinic because they are honest and care about their patients.

Of course the dental work is impeccable as expected from a well run office. Going to the dentist is never a joy but Serene Smiles has certainly made it exponentially more pleasant.

Fantastic experience: I had a toothache that was in severe pain which made it difficult to eat and drink anything that was cold or hot or bite down on the tooth. I called Dr. Ta's office on Thursday to get an appointment. Maceda (the office manager) got me in the next day. Dr. Ta came in on her day off to perform a root canal. Thank you so much for treating me before the weekend as the pain was driving me to distraction and I wasn't able to sleep! I feel so much better now.

Super clean facility, really nice staff (even gave me a little birthday cake because my birthday has just passed) and the hygienist doing my cleaning was super gentle and thorough! They gave me great advice to help with a sensitive tooth and didn’t try to sell me anything or say I needed unnecessary procedures. High recommend!

Fantastic experience: This is far and away the best dentist I have ever been to. You are seen immediately, there is no wait, and Dr Phu is very gentle and thorough. She is also beautiful and explains everything in detail and answers all questions with patience. The novocaine she used was the not over done and I wasn’t knumb for endless hours afterwards. I will never go to another dentist again. Very very happy.
