Fantastic experience: It is really hard to find a good honest dentist. Beach City Dental, Dr. Baker and his staff are the absolute best. Dr. Baker very detail oriented, stays on top of and is always learning the newest techniques. He is very honest and thorough. His hygienists are also the best. Before finding Dr. Baker's office, I thought cleanings had taken on lesser standards. His hygienists proved that wrong with the first and subsequent cleanings they do for me and my son. My insurance has changed and they are not in my current network. Dr. Baker and his team are so good I will not go anywhere else and will pay the extra for the honest and excellent care. When you find a dentist that will preserve your original teeth for your best health and not do unnecessary work for their financial gain, you need to keep that dentist. Dr. Baker is that dentist. Thank you Beach City Dental for your excellent standard of care and concern for your patients.

Dr. Baker gave me over an hour of his time just to walk me through my options for my front teeth, numbers 8 and 9. After getting two other opinions, I realized just how special Dr. Baker is—he’s the best of the best. He didn’t just push for the most expensive route; he was incredibly honest, patient, and focused on preserving the work I’d already done. I never once felt taken advantage of. On top of his incredible skill, Dr. Baker has this wonderful way of making you feel relaxed. He even cracks a few jokes in between, so it never feels tense. And even while he’s working on my teeth, he keeps up a light conversation, so there’s never that awkward silence. The entire visit was thorough, and I left feeling confident and cared for. If you’re looking for a dentist you can truly trust, Dr. Baker is the one. Also, I cannot leave this review without mentioning highly important point if you’re looking for an elite dentist office The atmosphere of the office is incredible—so clean and beautifully designed, with every detail thoughtfully considered. They even have a live feed of the Huntington Beach pier on their TV, so you can relax and take in the ocean view while you wait. It’s the perfect antidote to dental anxiety—every corner exudes calm and care. ✨

Fantastic experience: It’s my first time seeing Dr. Baker based on my neighbor who’s a retired dentist. You can’t get a better recommendation for a dentist coming from a dentist himself. The staff is friendly, the facility is very clean and although they seem busy, the place wasn’t chaotic. Dr. Baker walked me through every detail on what he was doing and also provided plenty of education and options for decision making. I highly recommend this facility.

Any procedures needed are explained very easy and detailed. Dr. Baker informs me of any potential problems and gives me options. Fantastic experience: Today I had cleaning, Sue is excellent, followed by a cracked tooth repair. Dr Mortensen gives a painless mandibular block, important to me. The most important is Dr Mortensen is one stop shop, fillings, Implants and TMJ solutions by him. No farming out to other dentist. Very important to me.

Negative experience: Went to see them today, because it's one of the only places open on Sunday. I asked several times on the phone how much a tooth extraction would be. They refuse to tell you anything over the phone. I get there and spend $89 for them to tell me a tooth extraction is $689!!! Just a heads up guys, literally every dentist in OC is literally a 1/3 it that cost. No wonder they don't tell you what the cost is until they get your $89! Scam Scam Scam.

This new place is clean, has walls that aren't attached to the ceiling, minimal pictures on the walls and the lights are super bright. This new place seems very sterile in the sense does not have a home-like feeling atmosphere. This place has walls that aren't attached to the ceiling, which creates less of privacy for a client(s) when they are having a conversation with their hygienist. On a positive note, it is always nice to be taken care of by Dr. Mortensen and his hard working staff. I have known Dr. Mortensen and his staff over 26 years and I have always felt top notch care from all of them.
