Fantastic experience: This was my first time at the Ford Dental and I will be coming back! Wonderful people, knowledgeable and kind and very very gentle. So happy I am a new patient.

Negative experience: My mom booked an appointment here and was told beforehand that it would be a deep cleaning. What she wasn’t told was the cost, or that it wouldn’t be covered by her insurance. She only found that out once she was already at the appointment (fair - we should have contacted our insurance beforehand). Once she heard the price, she said she didn’t want to move forward with the deep cleaning and asked if she could just get a regular cleaning instead. She was told they don’t offer regular cleanings, only deep cleaning. So at that point she wanted to just leave — but was told that canceling right then would mean a $150 cancellation fee. So she was stuck: pay for a deep cleaning she hadn’t agreed to the cost of, or pay $150 to walk out. A lose/lose situation. If you’re considering this office, make sure to ask about pricing and insurance coverage before your appointment, not after — otherwise you could end up in the same bind we did.

Fantastic experience: Ford Dental Group was recommended to me by my mother-in-law a few years ago and I cannot be happier. As most, I get nervous going to the dentist and I recently had to get some dental work done and Dr Safi, Ken and staff made me feel at ease and always reassured me my comfort was a priority. Dr. Safi is amazing, and gentle with my gentle work. I would 100% recommend coming here if you are looking for a dentist!

Fantastic experience: Liz was very informative and she got me an appointment to get started with getting new sleep apnea mouthpieces very quickly. Dr. Ford was thorough and answered my questions and got the job done very quickly. I have been through the process a few years ago with someone else and it all took much longer with few answered questions and little satisfaction. Here’s hoping the rest of the process goes as smoothly.

Negative experience: Went in to get a simple composite bonding for a chipped tooth. Was told that I needed to complete a costly deep cleaning (around 1000 dollars) and only then would the doc do my composite bonding (~100 dollars). Scam much? Lol.

Fantastic experience: The Ford Dental Group is Huntington Beach's Premier dental practice! Dr. Ford has deep ties to Surf City, and he and his staff provide excellent care for my family and me. If you want a first-class experience, this is the place to go! Office Manager Linda and Dental Assistants Judy and Jen are amazing!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first appointment at Ford Dental group, I was thoroughly impressed with the beauty and technology (the imaging is SO great!) offered by the office. The front desk staff is kind and helpful- including warm welcoming smiles! My new hygienist Jen V, was meticulous in my cleaning, attentive and intuitive in areas of sensitivity and explained everything to me very clearly. She was friendly and chatted with me when she could, which really helped keep my nerves at bay. Dr. Tran was personable and friendly, obviously very knowledgeable and detail oriented and took his time to explain and show each of the areas of concern I had with my teeth. It’s nice to know we can get such great care. Thank you to their team to giving my teeth an awesome new home!

Fantastic experience: Although I never was a patient of Dr. Ford I contacted his office with some questions about a procedure he personally returned my call we spoke for a good 20 minutes he answered all my questions and gave me some good advice. He followed up the call with his email address and told me to contact or email him if I ever had any questions I was just blown away with his professionalism of that of a Dr and just going to the extra mile to provide exceptional service and medical advice. Who does that anymore?? Very few people and especially not very many medical professionals. Thank you very much and I hope I am able to see you in the future

My dental hygienist Judy was the sweetest lady and made me feel so comfortable while getting my cleaning and scans done. She talked me through everything which made me feel very aware! I highly recommended scheduling your appointment with her. The overall technology they use is very advanced and almost all of the scans are done in one room. The front desk ladies are also so helpful and sweet.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with Dr. Ford, Dr. Tran, Judy, Diane and their team. This is the most cutting edge dental practice I’ve come across. I had the best experience from the moment I set foot in their office. Also, Dr. Ford pretty much saved my husband’s life. As a sleep apnea expert he immediately recognized issues during my husband’s first routine visit. At his suggestion my husband got tested for sleep apnea. We were blown away by the results. We had no idea my husband’s sleep apnea was wreaking havoc on health for so many years. It was undetected for most of his life. Thanks to Dr. Ford’s intervention my husband’s condition significantly improved over the past year. He is getting the best sleep of his life and we’re seeing how it quickly improved his oxygen levels, blood pressure, energy level, quality of life, and much more. It quite literally added years to his life. We are forever grateful to Dr. Ford and his team of experts.

Negative experience: They make zero effort to try to find an in-network specialist, and will not mention the specialist they send you to is out of network. No option to fill out paperwork before showing up. They also lie, or have no clue about the number of specialists covered by insurance. I was told that “99.9% of specialists do not accept dental insurance.” Turns out that is wildly inaccurate. I would not recommend going here if you care about your oral health.

Positive experience: The best part of Ford Dental Clinic is the staff. They are awesome. The place looks like it's built for millionaires and their prices reflect it. Someone has to pay for all that new marble and high end equipment. I have always been satisfied with their work but I would encourage you to shop around if you are having expensive procedures done - especially is it is out of pocket. If you are having basic cleaning or a simple cavity filled and insurance is covering it, I highly recommend Ford.

Fantastic experience: I have postponed dental care since 2000, and dreaded making an appointment for overdue care. My anxiety was quickly abated upon arrival to a welcoming office staff and a beautiful, state of the art facility. I could not be happier with the dental hygienist, Jen. She was gentle, but thorough and spent a lot of time building a personal relationship as well as in dental education. Dr. Ford was warm and professional as well. So happy with my new dental home!

Fantastic experience: Who hates the dentist? I did but I just found a new one! Dr. Tran at Ford Dental Group in Huntington Beach. I just moved to the area and was looking to find a new dentist. Ford Dental Group is impeccably Clean and has state of the yard equipment. I can say with many years in the dentist chair that I had my first injection which I didn’t feel. I had a permanent cap Placed in one visit. Dr. Tran is of the upmost, professional and friendly dentist. Jennifer my dental hygienist was fantastic and Manny. Who assisted with my crown was very kind and personable. I made sure my family all made appointments that day as I was the guinea pig lol. Kidding aside. It’s really a very clean office with all the latest equipment. Make sure you call them.

Fantastic experience: I was working away from home, and one of my molars broke. I needed to get it fixed right away, and one of my co-workers referred me to Ford Dental Group. I called them, and was able to get an appointment the following day. I hate going to the dentist even for cleanings, and I was really nervous because I knew I was probably going to need a crown. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and took me right in. Manny, one of the assistants, came in and took an x-ray and a bunch of photos, then Dr. Tran came in to see me. He looked at my tooth and the photos, and told me I definitely needed a crown. Nervous, I asked him about the process and the risks. He explained everything thoroughly and was very kind and made me feel comfortable about it. I asked Dr. Tran how many of these he has done, and he told me "thousands". He exuded confidence and I felt like I could trust him. Dr. Tran and Manny went right to work. It takes a lot to get me numb, and I told them about this. Dr. Tran did an excellent job, and I never felt even the slightest bit of pain the whole time. I was laying in the chair listening to music with my eyes closed, and when I opened them I saw that Manny was now Oliva. They had switched so that Manny could go to lunch and the switch was so seamless that I didn't even notice! Oliva was great too. She was gentle and very careful not to pinch my lip against my teeth with the vacuum tube like so many often do. Once all the grinding was done, they took more scans of my teeth which they used to create a computer model. This office has a fancy 3D milling machine that created my new crown from a block of zirconium IN JUST 20 MINUTES!! Oliva brought the finished crown in and showed it to me, and when they placed it on my prepped molar, it fit PERFECTLY! It was amazing!! Dr. Tran cemented it in place, and was very careful to ensure that it fit well and that I would be able to floss around it. He also polished a little bit off of the corresponding molar on top because one of its points was digging into the lower molar, which is most likely why it broke in the first place. From start to finish, this entire process took under 3 hours. I was thoroughly impressed! Dr. Tran told me I would likely have some pain for a couple days, which was understandable, but as the numbness wore off I was very surprised that it didn't really hurt at all! My gums were a little tender, but there was no tooth pain, and I mean zero. I didn't even take any tylenol or ibuprofen. The following morning as I drank my coffee, I let it touch my new crown and it wasn't even sensitive at all. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Tran, Manny and Oliva. They are the best! Thank you again for such a great experience! I only wish I lived close enough to make Ford Dental my new dental office.

Fantastic experience: I had a crown replaced this morning and was very impressed with the CEREC technology Ford Dental uses to create new crowns in less than two hours. Not only did the procedure go quickly and pain-free, but Diane, the dental tech explained the entire process as we went along. I was also able to watch the CEREC machine cut the crown in about five minutes. It was a Five Star experience and I highly recommend Ford Dental.

Fantastic experience: I had a new crown procedure done on a bottom molar at my last visit to the Ford Dental Group. Dr. Ford was assisted by Oliva and also Manny. The team was extremally professional and the process was almost painless. The crown was manufactured while I waited using the latest technology. The result was flawless as the fitment of the crown was absolutely perfect the first time, no adjustment was needed. I had almost no pain in the following hours and days and did not find it necessary to take any pain meds, none. A remarkable experience to say the least. Thank you Dr. Ford & Team!

Negative experience: $250. for a "consult" to be told, "I would do nothing" and not even offering any options to help fix daughters mis-shaped teeth. Bonding would be an affordable option that any dentist would do. The treatment was very strange. The doctor gave his opinion then had his "office manager" come in to re-iterate his opinion. Felt like they were treating me like I was crazy. I was only going on the referral of our Orthodontist who recommended some cosmetic dental on 2 uneven teeth that my daughter has. We've spent a lot of money on several ortho surgeries and braces, this was the final step. Just bizarre behavior on behalf of the doctor and his "office manager". I had to get back to work and finally had to say, I need to leave now. I'll never go back.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, welcoming, helpful. And professional staff. Clean facility. Latest technology was used throughout the office which made for a much less painful and relaxing experience. We haven’t received an EOB yet from our insurance carrier, but they do accept our insurance. Hopefully it’s the same out of pocket cost as our previous dentist, which we reluctantly had to leave because they no longer accepted our insurance. For a first visit, it was a great experience and we plan to move our entire family to this practice for our future dentist needs.

Fantastic experience: I had been going to another dentist for many years. My dentist retired and I felt it was a great time to find a new Dentist closer to home. The Ford dental group had great reviews so I made an appointment. The office is beautiful with state of the art equipment. Everyone is super nice and patient. I got a new crown and a filling replaced. Absolutely painless and such a caring staff. So professional! My wife will be changing to Ford Dental too. So happy to have found them. I didn’t know Dental offices were like this. Dental appointments shouldn’t be scary, come here.

Fantastic experience: Have had two crowns done here, as well as dental cleanings. The staff is friendly and the technology is amazing. No more temporary crowns, the whole thing is done in two hours. I can’t recommend them enough! Would dream of going anywhere else.
