I have been to many different dentist’s and that seems to be the running theme in OC almost all of them try to get you to do things you don’t need! She is extremely thorough in her cleanings, has good bedside manner and actually cares about the health of your mouth with a strong focus on gum care. Fantastic experience: I had stage one of a dental implant today. I was really nervous about all the pain I was going to have afterwards. I mean they were going to put a screw inside of my gum so why wouldn’t I have pain. I was assured that I wouldn’t have any pain and I am happy to say that I didn’t have one bit of pain, even after the anesthesia wore off! I definitely recommend this dental office.

My parents switched our dentist because our previous one was telling us we had cavities when we didn’t. Coast Dental has always been honest and trustworthy, and I appreciate that. Fantastic experience: I called the office at 5:30 PM and they answered. One of my crowns had chipped off and they had me come in the next morning. They put a temporary crown on and next week I return for the new one. I was in and out in less than 2 hrs.

Fantastic experience: Got in almost immediately upon our arrival. Did a regular teeth cleaning on my 94 year old mother. All went well & the hygienist even suggested that she needed to floss her back left side teeth. Found out later that mom never flosses that area. So thanks for all the kind friendly care.

Fantastic experience: This was absolutely the best dental visit I have ever had in my entire life. I had two extractions done here by Dr. Clara on the same day. It is day two and I still have felt no pain where she did the work. Zero pain, I really need to emphasize this. The entire procedure she took the time to explain what was going on and gave me options at the time of the surgery to ease my anxiety. I’ll never, ever go to another dentist again. Fantastic experience: Update: I've been going to Dr. Clara for almost 10 years. Today, I went in for a cleaning and exam. My hygienist Tracy listened carefully to my problem areas and was able to remove the plaque which was causing sensitivity to my teeth. Dr. Clara fixed all my problem areas in one visit. I'm very afraid of needles, but I couldn't even feel the local anesthesia. My exposed root was fixed with bonding without any pain. I went in to see if I needed a crown for my molar, since I was told by other dentist that I needed one. When I went in to see Dr. Clara, she said she can save my tooth and just give me a big filing. I love how Dr. Clara tries her best to go the more conservative route and not up sell at all. I trust her with my teeth. Update: 5 years later my big filling is still intact.

Everyone, myself included, is afraid but that is one own's fault. I needed two extractions, some cavities filled and it was all broken down to me in a professional, yet informative manner. Negative experience: Informed me that they require their own x rays and that they do these every 6 months. My insurance (and likely most others) will not pay for this. Also, I do not want or need x rays every 6 months. I’ve never heard of this in all my years going to any dentist and clearly seems like it’s about money. They also would not accept recent x rays from a prior dentist, saying they must do their own. Unreasonable and profit-driven

Fantastic experience: They did an awesome job on fixing my crowns that came out on my front teeth. They made it work for me and I am so happy!!! It has been about 3 weeks and my teeth are still working. I do have a second pair if needed but I’m so appreciative of their hep!!

I always feel cared for and have all my questions answered. Growing up, I felt nervous going to the dentist because I don't like drills but they always ease my anxiety and make me feel comfortable before any procedures. Dr. Clara is always trying to find the best solution for my teeth and explains even the smallest details that I'm concerned about. I truly feel like she cares about my teeth and my teeth journey. The receptionist Candy is also amazing and friendly. Candy also makes sure that I know any payment plans before any work is done, which I really appreciate. They are a great team and I highly recommend them.

Negative experience: The office is clean and doctor was nice. However we went in for doing a new crown. I finished my appointment for temp crown at around 11:50am and my temp crown felt off by 4:20pm same day. I called the office right away and the scheduling center informed me that they will text the office and someone will call me back. Since I didn’t get a call back, I called again at 5:09pm. Once again the scheduling center stated she already text and can only text the office again. The scheduling center informed me the dentist office closed on Friday until the next Monday. I asked for advice and asked what if no one ever call me back. The scheduling center told he she is only doing scheduling she can’t answer anything else. I called the morning of 4/17 at 8:35am. Still can’t get on hold with the s hauling coordinator to schedule a fix. I understand this might not be an urgent matter for a dental office but a very poor customer service. This is such a disappointment since I do like Dr. Nguyen. I missed Dr. Clark who sold the practice to Dr. Nguyen. Maybe the dental equipments aren’t as new but Dr. Clark and her team treats patient with respect and good old friend type of care. If you are thinking to attend this office, just know this might happen to you.

Negative experience: My first in the dental clinic. I specifically requested for a teeth cleaning since I am due for cleaning but I decided to changed dentist. They took an xray and the dentist looked at the xray. Just checked a little and said you need a deep cleaning and you need cleaning 4x a year. She need I need a root canal as well. Then she said your done. I was surprised and asked her I’m done? She said go to the front desk and Candy will discuss the costs of the treatments. No teeth cleaning was done. I had been to other dental clinics and they always do teeth cleaning on the first visit. I have a good dental insurance.
