Even with a crying 3 year old she remained calm and did not show any signs of being annoyed or irritated. The doctor is always so kind as well. 10/10 experience!

Fantastic experience: We’ve been patients here for close to 10 years, and all four of my children have been coming since they were little. Until today, we’ve never had a bad experience. Christine, our hygienist, is truly one of a kind. She goes above and beyond to make sure my kids feel comfortable and safe. She is incredibly kind, patient, and amazing with children. Scheduling appointments has always been easy, we’ve never had long waits, and we’re always in and out—which is exactly what you hope for from a pediatric dental office. Unfortunately, today’s visit was my first truly negative experience, and I left in tears. My 3-year-old son has his first cavity, while his twin had a perfect checkup. We saw Dr. Dhara for the first time, and unfortunately, it will be our last. She walked into the room without introducing herself or saying hello to my children. Instead, she immediately began pointing out everything that was wrong—his cavity, his overbite, asking what we needed to change at home, why I wasn’t brushing his teeth better, and demanding nitrous for his filling bc he won't sit still. What made this especially frustrating was that my son had just sat calmly through his entire cleaning, something she hadn’t even witnessed. She then began lecturing me about changing his diet and offering more vegetables for snacks. At that point, I simply shut down. My children already eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, and it felt like assumptions were being made about our home and parenting based solely on the fact that my 3-year-old had one cavity. As a parent, it was an awful feeling to feel judged instead of supported. Christine, our hygienist, could tell how upset I was and actually comforted me afterward. I’m incredibly grateful for her compassion, but I should never have left a pediatric dentist’s office feeling embarrassed and interrogated. One cavity in a young child doesn’t define a family’s habits or a parent’s efforts. I would have appreciated a conversation focused on encouragement, and partnership rather than assumptions and criticism. Despite this experience, I still highly recommend this practice because every other provider and staff member we’ve encountered over the past decade has been wonderful. We will absolutely continue coming here—but we will never schedule with Dr. Dhara again.

My young son was nervous and in tears before his appointment, but our hygienist, Donna, was incredibly patient, gentle, and compassionate. I don’t know what magic she worked, but by the time we left, he was beaming from ear to ear and saying he can’t wait to come back. It's clear that they truly care about. The office is clean, thoughtfully designed with little ones in mind, and creates a fun, inviting atmosphere that helps kids feel comfortable from the start. A special shoutout to Donna, the dental hygienist who took care of us — she was absolutely fantastic. She's loving, caring, and so patient, and she's wonderful with both of my kids. She really knew how to keep them engaged the entire time, and she also taught me some helpful tips for brushing their teeth at home, which I really appreciated. We love this place and highly recommend it to any family looking for a great dental practice!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chris and the entire Small Smiles practice has been amazing with my son and us. They’re always friendly and, most importantly, very gentle with my son who is horrible with anybody touching inside his mouth. We’ve been seeing Danielle, the hygienist, there since he’s 1 and from the very first appt they told us exactly what to expect and how to help him keep great teeth. He’s 3 now and each 6 month visit has been wonderful. They took the time to help us find a good toothbrush, gave us recommendations and even sent us home with some. Dr. Chris and Danielle are both just the best and so gentle with him and patient! Other staff we’ve been introduced to there too as well. We won’t go anywhere else!! Positive experience: Office is very clean and staff is nice. My issue is they seem to overbook. Waiting room is packed and last few times I went, I waited almost 45 minutes to be seen

They even sat through x-rays - an impressive reflection of Layla’s ability to create a calm and reassuring environment. Dr. Matt was also very welcoming and thorough! Fantastic experience: We’ve been going to Dr.Chris’s office ever since we moved into neighborhood. The office is just that, an old school family neighborhood practice. In the times of everything being turned into a corporate company, it’s really nice to have that feel these days. My daughter who has some dental anxiety is always calmed and comforted by the staff here. They consistently help work on it with her every visit. Even allowing us just to come in, sit and touch some of the equipment. They spend time talking and getting to know my daughter so she really feels comfortable with the whole idea of being there. She recently had a molar removed and it was again an above and beyond experience. Tiffany (who really is an asset to that office) treated my daughter like it was her own daughter getting the procedure. Layla also needs a shout out for reassuring in the situation it would be ok and Dr. Tarica couldn’t have been more warm and patient the entire time. Last but not least , Danielle! Danielle has been helping my daughter since day one. She has been nothing but amazing, again a huge asset to the office and to all the little patients. An amazing abundance of wonderful, professional, warm and caring people. All need to bring your children here for every aspects of dental care. Cheers to the team at Small Smiles ☺️.

Fantastic experience: Our young kids love going to the dentist because of the friendly staff and experiences. Adriana is so patient and explains everything she’s doing beforehand, like putting on gloves and the “tickle brush”. Victoria is super friendly and her energy lifts my daughter up. The dentists are also so helpful and kind. This is what a pediatric dentist office should be, and more. And all the rooms are very decorated and we love guessing which themed room we’ll get! Just a great experience all around!

Fantastic experience: We went today to take my son (4yrs & autistic) for his 6month checkup. The staff has always been so accommodating to his needs. We got there early and expressed that he was here to be checked in, and that yes, sounds and stimulation can be very upsetting. The person we had today her name was Layla and she was absolutely fantastic. She was calm and clear on directions. we had no issue during the entire time of being there. My son was able to get through the whole appointment within 30 minutes without any sort of behavioral episodes and she was phenomenal with him. The first time in his entire life he wasn't afraid of the dentist.

The office is clean, modern, and well-suited for kids. The staff is consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and prompt. Our hygienist today was Layla and dentist was Dr. Catherine. The office is immaculately clean and each room is decorated with a fun theme, as well as, televisions to keep your child entertained during procedures. Whether it is a cleaning, regular check up or a more involved procedure, Dr. Chris and Danielle always provide gentle care with a kid-friendly approach. They ease my children's fears by explaining in terms they can understand and relate to during every step of their appointments. This really helps to alleviate any anxiety or fear, and has made it a stress free experience for all. Thank you so much for providing such great care over the years!!

Fantastic experience: As an adult, I am terrified of the dentist and did not want my children to follow in my footsteps. So when choosing a dentist for my small children, I took this decision very seriously! Dr. Catherine and Danielle were absolutely phenomenal! The patience they have with these small humans is incredible and not comparable to anything i’ve experienced. My two girls (ages 4 and 7) look forward to their dentist every 6 months instead of dragging them kicking and screaming (like when i was a child). If they took adult patients, I’d switch immediately!
