Fantastic experience: I am a Suffolk County Retiree. My wife, my daughter and I have been going to Dr. Rahr for 3 years. Over the course of those 3 years, we have had routine cleanings, as well as procedures done. Across the board, Dr. Rahr and his entire staff have been nothing but professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. In the event that any prior approval was needed, they were proficient and kept us informed throughout the process. When we have an appointment, we are greeted warmly and seen promptly. Overall, this is a practice that uses current technology and standards but manages to maintain the feel of an old school neighborhood dentist. What more could you want?

Negative experience: Dr David Rahr worked on one of my back teeth for less than 30 minutes on two occasions. Neither Dr Rahr nor his secretary told me they didn’t take my insurance. No price was ever given to me before he did his work. Then, they told me they didn’t take my insurance. I gave them a payment when I left. I get a bill in the mail for $1500. I refuse to pay this outrageous amount for 1 hr worth of work with no payments discussed before hand. I now have him suing me for the payment. I am going to court to fight this. It’s the principle to me and they know they are wrong. Now I’m going to the better business bureau to report him. I do not recommend this dentist at all.

Fantastic experience: Myself and my daughters have been going to Dr. Rahr for quite a few years. He is one of the best and his staff is excellent. Always pleasant and with a smile on their faces. About two years ago , Dr. Rahr replace a broken tooth that was over 75% filled with the old silver filling they used to us. It is perfect and looks like my own tooth. I have never had any pain or issues since.

A few years ago, I was overwhelmed with dental anxiety and had fallen behind on regular cleanings and care. Just the thought of going to the dentist was terrifying. But after finally working up the courage to make an appointment, everything changed. From the very first visit, Dr. Rahr and his staff made me feel safe, supported, and completely at ease. Not only have I been able to stay on top of my dental health, but just yesterday I had my wisdom teeth removed, something I’ve needed (and feared) for over a decade. I never thought I’d actually be able to go through with it, but with Dr. Rahr, I felt more confident. He is patient, compassionate, and incredibly skilled. I felt no pain during the procedure and am feeling great today. His gentle approach and reassuring manner made what once seemed impossible feel completely manageable. Fantastic experience: We are so lucky to have such an amazing dentist right in the heart of Kings Park. Dr. Rahr and his staff treat you like family. They not only care about you but they are also very good at what they do. A long time ago, we had a dental emergency and Christina at the front desk was able to squeeze us in to see Dr.Rahr. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem and start the treatment plan right away. Since then I have been taking my 97 year old grandma in for a two year treatment plan in which he removed her infected bridge and replaced with dental implants. My grandma has the nicest teeth in her memory care unit. Even with dementia and her old age she felt safe and trusted Dr Rahr. My husband and I are always happy with our cleanings and now we bring our son there too. I really look forward to catching up with the ladies at the front desk and I love the staff. Five stars for Dr Rahr!!!

I am glad I found Dr. Rahr and stopped going to Aspen dental. Aspen Dental is a fraudulent institution, I recommend switching to Dr. Rahr if you are with Aspen Dental.
