Fantastic experience: Office is awesome! Staff are great and efficient! Highly recommend! Must go!

Negative experience: It’s been 4 years ago I was looking for dentist to to get her tooth filled. I was so surprised that the doctor was going to use a mercury filling. It’s banned around the world but he in the US they still use it even on kids. That was a shocker. I had to leave the office. I don’t think it’s acceptable to use mercury filling both kids and adults.

Negative experience: * I was asked to remove this review which I wont, but I will edit and add this bit. I was let known that this hygienist works one day a week, which is Tuesdays. So beware of that when scheduling a visit for your child. I don’t want this incident to be swept under the rug, so I will keep this up. * Had a very awful experience here today with my 5 year old child with autism. It’s a shame, because the other 2 times we went I was so happy with them. Dr. Perrie is fantastic. Today however, a hygienist brought us back for my child’s second SDF treatment. We had waited in the waiting room for 40 mins by the way. The hygienist seemed in a rush. She went to put the shirt protector on my child, and she clipped the metal clip on to his arm skin instead of his shirt causing an injury. He began to bleed, scream and cry. She did not apologize once. She just said “oh,” when I told her she clipped his skin and he was bleeding. While he was still inconsolable and in hysterics, she tried to put the shirt protector back on and my child pulled away. She GRABBED HIM and tried to pull him back. I said to her “um I think he is going to need a minute.” and without saying a word she just walked out and went to help a different patient. I consoled my child further for several minutes before I decided to grab my things and leave. I went to the front with my son and told the ladies at the desk what had occurred. I then broke down in tears telling them what happened. This was so not ok! I cannot believe the treatment we got today from this hygienist. I asked who she was but I didn’t get a name. I did file a complaint. This woman should not be allowed to work with children. I am so upset with this experience. My child did not deserve this. Things like this are hard enough on him as is... I can only hope this incident didn’t traumatize him, and that we can get this treatment done soon. I rescheduled an appointment with Dr Perrie since she was sooo great with my son, but I honestly don’t want to go back after today.

Always such a wonderful experience… They truly take their time to explain to the children and answer all their questions. My daughter was so nervous to have her first cavity filled, Dr. Perrie handled it immediately and with such care! Very thankful my children don’t want to go to any other practice! Dr Rubino The orthodontist is incredible and immediately had a plan for my daughter’s overbite. Thankful to have them in our community!!

Fantastic experience: I’m so grateful to office manager Pillar for all her assistance in helping me with my kids’ accounts. The staff there is always so friendly, and the hygienists are professional and caring, especially knowing how awkward it is for children. But Pillar goes above and beyond to make sure the parents are just as comfortable in understanding their children’s coverage so that we can feel at ease knowing our children’s are getting the best care without the worry of hidden or uncertain fees.

Fantastic experience: We have been using Pediatric Dentistry of Suffolk County for 15 years. We started off in Commack with Dr Mike and when we moved we still used the practice and eventually switched offices to Medford with Dr Chris. When both my kids needed braces we saw Dr Rubino on the Medford office. In our experience both offices were great. All the doctors and office staff are kind, courteous, and patient. So sweet and puts the kids at ease. Such a pleasant and clean environment. Highly recommend. They are the best

Moreover, the doctors' gentle approach with my granddaughter, who had previously undergone a traumatic dental experience, was outstanding. I unhesitatingly recommend this practice, awarding it a flawless rating of 10 out of 10.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a root canal and a tooth filled. She was extremely nervous and everyone was so amazing to her! Made her feel so comfortable and she left saying she wants to “come back everyday and say hi to everyone” the dentist and hygienist were very welcoming. The staff at the Front desk was very nice, check in was easy, and the office manager Pilar was very helpful with checkout and getting us another appointment set up right away!

Negative experience: Back to say they are still awful and continue to discriminate. Don't even bring your dog here. On September 17th I accompanied my 4 year old on a scheduled tooth removal at Pediatric Dentistry of Suffolk County (Medford location, our regular dentist and 6th visit at their practice) only to be faced with sheer discrimination and humiliation. What started as confusion regarding the license on file resulted in the very rude front desk associate questioning if I was my son’s “BIOLOGICAL” and “REAL” mother. As I attempted to explain that my children LEGALLY have two moms, she continued to ask louder while clapping her hands in my face, who the “REAL, BIOLOGICAL MOM” was until I was forced to say “not me”. The associate continued to badger and harass me, falsely reporting that my son’s “biological mother needed to be present for his appointment” all while my young child stood nearby. Shortly after, we were asked to leave with my son in tears. Though my wife was able to clear it up over the phone and his procedure thankfully got done, this very unprofessional stranger asked me to validate my parental status in front of my child and a waiting room of strangers. I was made to feel small while being asked to relay completely IRRELEVANT information. If this was a dire situation in a hospital setting and I encountered this misinformed associate, would I have been denied the proper and necessary medical care for MY child? I spoke with Pediatric Dentistry of Suffolk County through a Human Rights representative over the course of the past 6 months. Initially, I wanted them to do the right thing and reconsider their employment relationship with the awful associate who made me feel like I had to validate who I am to my children, but they refused. I agreed to settle in silence if they would agree to proper training of their staff and they failed to agree. I requested an apology, and they rejected that as well. Pediatric Dentistry offered me $200 in exchange for my silence- No amount of money could ever reverse the discourse and subsequent hurt and humiliation I had to face that day, but $200 wouldn’t have even covered his procedure! Monetary offers continued with no further consideration of my other reasonably requested terms. I even suggested they utilize the money offered as a donation to an LGBT foundation, no response. I have opted to retain my integrity and warn others that Dr’s Mike and Chris Ioannou of Pediatric Dentistry of Suffolk County clearly support the actions of their untrained, prejudice staff- subsequently supporting bias and discrimination of their patients and their caregivers. It is an absolute shame what occurred to me and my family that day and thereafter. It is my hope that no family ever gives their company the opportunity to do it to them and that no one ever has to feel small at the hands of ignorance.

Negative experience: BEWARE!! Two years ago my daughter got an appliance she didn't need (found out after) teeth pulled that didn't need to be and billed for nitrious oxide when she didn't have it. They are 1000% charging insurance and people for services that never happened and today I just got a repeat bill that was paid in full for over a thousand dollars with- you guessed it -nitrious oxide that she never even had on it. Total scam-beware all it will do is drain your deductable and try to scam you out of every dollar they can. Looking into reporting them for their shady practices. Learn from my mistakes!!

Fantastic experience: My 3 year old son has a severe speech delay and really really hates the dentist..unfortunately he needed surgery in the OR with Dr. Goldstein. I had so much anxiety going into it, but I cannot say enough about how incredible Dr. Goldstein was with my son. My son can be difficult to connect with due to his speech delay, but even he loved Dr. Goldstein…his bedside manner was amazing. Dr. Goldstein was very understanding and patient and explained everything to me in a way I could understand and never made me feel judged. I would highly recommend Dr. Goldstein to anyone who needs a pediatric dentist, especially if your child needs to be seen in the OR.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience for my daughter! Dr Mike took us in on short notice. He was incredible with my daughter. He was very patient and made her smile and put her at ease. Dr Mike did an excellent job removing my daughter’s teeth. My kids will never go anywhere else. Dr. Mike is our guy and we strongly recommend Dr Mike and his practice to all parents looking for a pediatric dentist!

Negative experience: The place is OK but they have no respect for their customers time. They'll constantly warn you about being late, but then they won't start until 20 minutes past the scheduled appointment time.

Fantastic experience: Our hygienist Jessica was so wonderful with my daughter. She explained everything to her in child-friendly language, showed her everything before using it, sang songs, and just chatted with her to make her feel comfortable. My daughter had a great experience. The dentist we saw was also so kind and sweet with my daughter. He turned her exam into a game, which she loved. Very grateful for such a kind and gentle team!

Fantastic experience: First, I went to the wrong location so when they called me to ask if I was bringing my child, they graciously directed me to the correct address. We were 15 minutes late, which I felt terrible about. They were so nice about it and saw us anyway. The doctor was quick and efficient. He explained everything and was extremely thorough. The doc and his assistant were calm and help my daughter feel comfortable. It couldn’t have gone better!

Fantastic experience: Wow! This place is absolutely amazing. From the receptionist when booking my son’s appointment to my arrival at the port jeff location. The office is so clean and perfect for younger children with the fish tank and movie area. My 4 year old had the best time! The dental hygienist Danielle was so beyond sweet, patient and fun! My son kept saying “this is so much fun!” Lol. The doctor was also so welcoming and warm. Thank you so much for such a great experience!

Negative experience: This place was a HORRIFIC! I made an appointment for my sons first dental checkup before his 2nd birthday. When I arrived the waiting room was PACKED- standing room only, shoulder to shoulder. My son had a dirty diaper so I went to the restroom only to discover there is NO changing table so I had to change my son ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR. That's disgusting, what kind of PEDIATRIC medical facility doesn't have a family restroom My appointment was at 11:30 and I waited until 12:45 after asking reception twice what was going on and they just shrugged, I finally made them go back and check what was going on after that I was told another 15 minutes still. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: If I said excellent it would be an understatement. The staff was very caring, the dentist performing the filling went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable. Olivia complained her lips were chapped and he took a qtip and placed Vaseline on her lips so delicately. He was meant to be in pediatric dentistry. His assistant was great. I hope they never change staff.

Fantastic experience: First time here with my 10 year old and 8 year old. Glad I came. I called and got an appointment the next day. Office is clean. Everyone was friendly. And the dentists and nurses were sooo extra nice and informative with the kids. Made them feel soo comfortable. Thorough cleaning and x-rays and coating..Kids didn't complain, not once since it was all pain free. I've never seen my kids so happy leaving the dentists office. Definately a great first time experience. The kids can't wait for there next checkup. A+

Fantastic experience: Everyone is so nice. Wait times were minimal and the dentist always remembers my son and any issues we've talked about in previous appointments.

Negative experience: The office was very unaccommodating when my son needed work on his cavities, they were unwilling to give me an appointment after school so I didn't need to pull him out for the day or take off from work even though they had availability only because he was 6 and in their words "a baby." They acted like they knew him better than me telling me "babies are easier to work with in the morning" and didn't care when I said those times didn't work for me and I didn't want him to miss a whole day of school (besides the fact that he dislikes the dentist no matter what time of the day it is and they don't know him at all to tell me when he's easiest to work with). Then the day of the appointment (after pulling him out of school and taking off from work) they called me while I was on my way and threatened to cancel and charge me for the appointment, claiming I was 10 minutes late for the appointment when their confirmation text to me the day before told me that I still had 10 minutes before the appointment time.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed. Today I decided to look for another dentist. And just so you know, I don't often write negative reviews. Today was the second time at this office. The first time, they call patients in that had arrived after my daughter. I complained that I had been waiting for a white, then when they called my daughter in, the staff said "Sorry, blah blah blah.. they are short staffed and are running behind". Then on the second appointment with Orthodontist, we walked in 15 minutes earlier and there were two patients in front of us, then someone else walked in and they went in first and I'm still waiting, then another one walks in to see the (only) Orthodontist in the office that day, then the patients gets called in to see the Orthodontist. So I went up to the receptionists and they where conversing and acted if I wasn't standing there so, I said "So Sorry to interrupt" and asked, "how many Orthodontist do you have in this office?" she said "one" so then I said "Everyone has been see even the people after me, including the one person just called in to see the Orthodontist and my daughter was here first. I also mentioned that the same thing was done on the prior appointment. The two receptionist did not even apologize, they just said, let me find out and both got up as if they didn't know what they had done, they never put my file in. Then I hear one of the receptionist say "Don't worry, we are human and we will make mistakes" LOL. Instead of saying sorry, she was talking trash, very rude and unprofessional. Then when my daughter was seen, the lady working with the Orthodontist was kind enough to apologize for them and said that they where "Short Staff". Also, If I'm gonna pay more than $5000 on my daughter for braces, I don't see how the dentist literally took 3 minutes to look at my daughter's teeth and decides this is the amount. That's insane. I will never step foot there again. Moral of the story, how many times can you actually use the same line? "Short staff" AND the word "Sorry" is often used to rectify a situation. Maybe the receptionists should practice using that word...

Negative experience: Wish I could choose 0 stars!! For almost two years I seeked medical attention for my son who had a deformed tooth, (my son is only 2.5 years old) I was told it would grow in normally when his adult tooth pushes against it. I was told discoloration due to having Covid while pregnant. My poor baby had cellulitis and a 2 night hospital stay because this was left overseen. I Chose to go elsewhere for another opinion when he woke up saying mommy tooth hurt and screaming in agony, and I’m glad I did because I was told his tooth was severely infected with an abscess and needed to be extracted. This all could have been prevented if they conducted a thorough examination. From bedside manner to expertise in their field ZERO STARS. How do you miss this hole?!?!

Fantastic experience: Is a great pediatric dentist they pay much attention to detail they make your child feel safe welcome and comfortable

Positive experience: I have to say, as far as dentists go, they are pretty good. I've been taking my kids here for years. Sometimes you wait a little, but they really try not to let that happen. The staff I've always found to be friendly enough. And, they do their job with good results. The only thing that stop me from giving 5 stars is the size of the place. The waiting room is virtually non-existent. Not really, but it's small. Also, walking through the hall to the rooms is a little crowded.

Negative experience: I happen to think most of your office staff is very rude and condescending. One of my children is in the process of getting braces. Last week I got no call or reminder which is fine I called to confirm as I write most everything down. This week I didn't have a missed call from the office I again called and who ever answered was like YEAH we did call and left a message. No like oh, sorry sure you appointment is such and such.Ok. No problem. As i sat with my daughter in the waiting room, we in the past had not such a great experience with one assistant. My daughter nervous as is says " mom i really hope we dont get her" well we did. Now we get in a room, and the assistant tells my daughter what she's having done. My daughter is just looking at me. Because she's 10! Never went to school to be an orthodontist is nervous. So I ask what is that? The assistant clearly wide eye'd says you don't know? Now part of the problem with this women is her facial expressions. She needs to manage that. So i say no can you explain. Now every other time, every assistant always explains what's being done before they start. Not this one. She says they should have showed you a video in the beginning of the process. So I say yeah? It was you, I have short term memory loss. Now not that I should have to explain anything to anyone but I suffer from an auto immune disease that causes short term memory and cognitive issues. This woman has very poor bedside manore and working with children who have not a clue she should have the mentality on how to educate not only kids but adults. I love the orthodontist and any dentist and all other assistants it's this one women. When I said it the mood completely changed she rushed out of the room and continued to talk in a side room. Completely unprofessional. I have a disability and have a hard time as it is with life. I don't need other people not knowing anything about me making me feel dumber in front on my child. If I have to ask questions then obviously your staff is not doing a well enough job. I happen to have amazing insurance and you guys ran it 3xs to make sure it was actually that good. I could go anywhere but chose your office because I like it there.

Negative experience: The office was fithy the women at the front were very rude, while I was in the waiting rm the staff at the front we're talking bad about the doctors that work there wich made me feel that my children would not have a good experience, I recommend 4 other parents to do there research about this office be for bringing their children here, WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son is only 5 years old and was very afraid to go to the dentist…but they were so amazing with him that now he loves the dentist. She has been my daughters dentist since my kid was 2 years old and now she is 7 . I have nothing to say but all great , amazing things about Dr.Cooper ! I highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a gentle, friendly and very professional dentist for their kids . My daughter never complains of pain whenever she is having work done over there. Fantastic experience: My son is 3.5. This was his second experience at a dentist office. He loved it. The hygienist Ms. Linda made the experience great for him. She was so gentle and caring, did the ABC’s while cleaning his teeth and that made him happy. The dentist was also great. He’s excited to continue to go back for routine cleanings.

Fantastic experience: I'm extremely happy that I found a place for my kids! @first I was disappointed that the appointment I made in September for January was not entered BUT when I called to confirm my appointment the representative that assisted me was able to honor my appointment for January. My kids were seen at time of appointment. The hygienist was GREAT! Very friendly and professional. Thumbs up all the way.

My two children ages 8 & 11 def have anxiety around going to the dentist in general, Dr. Chris and his team are so kind, patient and know just what to say to the kids to help alleviate any worry!! My daughter had to have two teeth pulled and literally had no idea Dr Chris had even taken them out! That’s how great and gentle he is, the laughing gas def helped too! Great option to help with visits as well! Most recently they got us in right away when I called about a concern which turned out to be nothing!! Highly recommend this office and Dr. Chris!

She is always so excited and happy to come back after every visit since she gets treated very well by her dentist, he is very sweet, patient and gentle with her. I’ve recommended this dentistry to all my friends and family members that live in Long Island and will continue to do so.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience! Tracey was truly wonderful, she explained everything she was going to do, she allowed my son to look at all the instruments touch them and get comfortable with them. Such and amazing experience!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience for my child especially being his first real visit to the dentist. The dental assistant was the best and she made my son very comfortable and at ease.

Negative experience: I have a big family of 6. When scheduling, the front desk that "we can take them all on Friday, August 19 2022. However, they failed to mention that it would be a very long and extended wait time due to the lack of hygienists. We came in expecting them to split the family, which is what they typically do and had improved efficiency in the past, but instead we were taken one by one. Each cleaning took about 30 minutes each so we were there for abt 3 hrs. Due to the lack of warning we were unable to store snacks and better prepare. The children were irritated and agitated from sitting so long especially without any food, as several families came in after us and were done as quickly as they came in. It seemed very unfair and a lot of poor planning and lack of communication from the office. The workers showed very little empathy and gave insincere apologies. I am extremely upset and disappointed about the lack of regard for my family. It goes to show the bias against big families in offices. I hope that scheduling can improve and communication will be more effective so that this situation does not occur again. I suggest that families with more than 3 children be advised to go on a day with more staff and that they will be split to increase efficiency and to produce an adequate standard of care.

Fantastic experience: As always, we had as enjoyable an experience as possible for going to the dentist (and getting two teeth pulled at once) . My son laughed and giggled the whole time (although we did decide to give him sweet air this time), but we were in and out very quickly and painlessly. They’re all very sweet and personable here and it’s nice to have a dentist who treats you like a friend. My son doesn’t mind going to the dentist because his experience is always an enjoyable one... (and he has awful teeth... so he’s always getting work done.. yet he still doesn’t dread it!). Thank you guys!

Fantastic experience: The staff is great here! Super friendly super informative and always professional. My son is a little over two and always is fussy when anybody touches his teeth but was very good when we went here because they were super friendly and understanding and made him feel comfortable. Dr. Matt and Dr. Chris are great I would highly recommend coming here with your child! So glad we found a pediatric dentist office like them!

Fantastic experience: This dentist office is fantastic! I have been taking my three boys here for years and we always have a great experience. Today I took my 2-year-old little girl for her first cleaning and it went so well! I was so nervous because due to covid she hasn't been socialized much and she is very nervous with new people, but the dental assistant actually had her smiling! The staff here is just wonderful! Thank you all so much for being so kind and considerate to my children at every single visit ❤️ We appreciate you all!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cooper is by far the best ped dentist I've ever in countered . Her bedside manner with my 4 year old was amazing. I would recommend her to anyone even kids that have fear of going to dentist.

Fantastic experience: Excellent care of my daughter. Things seem a little out dated. Dentist is great! Girls all very nice and explain things not only to me but my daughter. The one lady blonde hair I think her name is Megan needs to change her attitude. Not a very nice person! But everyone else is excellent!!

Negative experience: Brought my child and wouldn’t work with her dental anxiety (created from this office ) they did. Nothing to make my child feel more comfortable and the front desk was terrible and rude . I wouldnt recommend

Fantastic experience: I’m going for my sons first ever dentist appointment and already I have to thank you guys at the fact that the review underneath me with the picture of the boy in the seat all happy that right there makes my son so happy and wanting to go there that alone is amazing and then how amazing and nice and easy it was to set the appointment I can’t wait to go into the office I definitely will writing a review on how the appointment went well can’t wait to meet everyone
