Fantastic experience: I love Hero Pediatric Dentistry. We’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and we always have the greatest experience. They recently renovated their Herndon location, which looked great in my opinion before but now is just beautiful. They have touchscreens built into the wall for kids to play with in the waiting room and of course a beautiful coffee machine for parents. Every hygienist/assistant we’ve had has been so gentle and kind and sweet with my daughter. Today we had Simone who is so lovely and just the kindest! Dr. Matt Dudek is absolutely the best. He is patient and attentive and is just great with my daughter. He addresses my concerns and offered me suggestions and reassurance about my daughter’s habits and is just about the nicest guy. The facility is beautiful and is thoughtfully designed with screens above for the kiddos to watch fish peacefully swimming underwater as they lay back in their chair and they have the latest fun Disney tunes playing in the background which my 4 year old was loving. In the end, your kid gets a token to use at one of the machines in the lobby for their prize which is the highlight of the visit for my daughter of course! My daughter actually loves going to the dentist so if you have nervous kids and are looking for somewhere new, id highly recommend Hero. See you guys in 6 months!

Fantastic experience: I have 3 boys. Hero Staff and Dr, Dudek are so awesome - I want to have 3 more kids - just so they can go to Hero Pediatric Dentistry! Dr. Dudek was so awesome on my baby’s first appointment. And then extracted 2 teeth from my oldest who was so anxious. Afterward he said he felt no pain and the experience was so positive. If you live in Northern Virginia and have kids - whether nearby in Herndon or Reston, or even further out, it’s 100% worth going here for your children’s dental needs. You won’t regret it one bit. Plus they just remodeled their facility so everything is super clean and nice too!

Fantastic experience: Staff and Doctors here are so welcoming and sweet. As a single mom it’s hard making it on time to appointments or even scheduling can be conflicting. The staff here at Hero does a great job of supporting patients. Not to mention the renovations are amazing. My son has a hard time with dentist appointments and they are so patient with him. He has improved since starting with the practice.

They feel encouraged by their staff to actually take good care of their teeth. They are attentive, caring and we never feel rushed or pushed. Fantastic experience: My first time here staff was very friendly, very clean, love the little play waiting area . Super gentle with my 21 month old baby girl aria . The dentist gave us good information about her dental hygiene and some pointers how to brush her teeth. Later that night she loves her new toothbrush they gave us and she actually wanted to use her toothbrush in the morning too. Definitely recommend this place.

She does really well as the dentist and staff is so attentive and gentle (and we all know how hard it is to get little ones to sit and and stay put). Everyone is so happy and nice. However, the anesthesiologist at Hero Dentistry was incredibly patient and thorough, spending significant time with my wife and me to explain every detail—potential side effects, risks, and the entire process involved. On the day of the procedure, the entire staff was nothing short of professional, compassionate, and reassuring. They took exceptional care of my little girl, completing the dental work smoothly and safely. She was brought back to us without any issues, and the entire experience was as positive as one could hope for in such circumstances. Melissa was awesome in taking care of all her appointments and even bumped her sedation appointment up early. The sedation team including Dr Matt and Karla did an amazing job during the procedure, I couldn’t have been more happy. Even though she was super nervous everyone did such a great job relaxing her before hand. When she woke up she was so excited to see her new mouth and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Positive experience: The dentists there are great at their job but for this visit they went a tiny bit rough. They give fake coins to put in the toy machine to get prizes.

Negative experience: I am not going to give this place 1 stars because not all the people there were bad. Its one person in particular with another nurse. It was a blond white woman whose job I think is to wash and floss the teeth before the actual dentist comes in. She was extremely unprofessional, talking and laughing and cursing with her friend while working on my mouth. She clearly was not paying attention and was very rough with my gums causing it to bleed. I didn't have any problem with the others except with this assistant dentist. Its not wrong to expect you to do your job properly is it? I don't ever want to come here ever again.

He was very swollen after that procedure so we decided to try a new pediatric dental and we absolutely loved Hero dentistry. Negative experience: We had been here several times and saw Dr. Matt, which was a good experience. Yesterday my daughter (3 yr old) saw Dr. Freedman. She was unengaging and cold, so my daughter was uncomfortable with her. She then said to her "if you don't open your mouth, I'll force it open for you". This was in front of my husband, cannot imagine what she says to children without adults. I'd never allow my child to be in the hands of someone with such abusive and threatening language and ideas. She shouldn't be working with children of ANY age if she even thinks that way. Very scary experience.

Fantastic experience: I will give it a 5-star rating for this practice and everyone who is part of this Hero pediatric clinic in Herndon.. My son is having toothache since 3 days and needs to get the baby rootcanal for his cavities. I called most of the pediatric clinics with long wait times to get this done but Hero pediatric was able to squeeze him in and ready to get this done the very next day I called them. Everyone here is so welcome and made my kid super comfortable and with their approach, my 8 year old felt very comfortable to get the root canal done here. Due to his discomfort even though he gave a hard time to the doctor, the doctor was very sweet to convince him and made him rest, talked him through and was explaining the procedure through every step of the way which made my kid push through the entire process. I am making my 2 kids permanent here from now on. A very big thanks and to Dr. Matt Dudek for all the amazing work and spending time yo treat my kid and also I am a big fan of Mr. Matts timing to come up with an alternate solution if something does not work right. Special thanks to Jose for little and comfortable conversation with my kid which gave him a very comfortable and happy start. This convo gave him the trust he actually needed to go through this difficult procedure. He said "I like it here I know I am in safe hands".
