Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff, did quick work, and helped me out while i was in a stressful time!

Negative experience: I had a friend come here (i am posting this on her behalf because she doesnt feel comfortable to do so but im not letting this go for her) and they treated her so so horribly. She was quoted close to 9k for dental work and when she finally called to question it, the receptionist was incredibly rude and condescending. the lady on the phone claimed to know how much the cost of the treatment would be in an attempt to keep my friend as a patient at their office and when it was questioned about the actual insurance coverage, not once was she ever informed the office was out of network until the lady said it. my friend asked for a treatment plan in written format but she had to ask for it 3xs until she went and had to sign a release form (to go to a different dentist) and she had to wait until they produced what shes been asking for. as a former receptionist myself i find this incredibly disrespectful that the receptionist was acting like the judge, jury and executioner essentially. mean girls either become nurses or receptionists because people like that should not be in front facing jobs.

Fantastic experience: The staff are super great very attentive. You feel comfortable and at home. Considering its a dentist office. I was nervous but the doctor and staff made it so much better. Impeccable customer service as well as Dentistry work.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Le was very good and he did an amazing job on my teeth I recommend people to go there. They are very friendly and nice dr. Le thank you very much .

Negative experience: Bill ran me 1400 dollars and 3 fillings were done in maybe 15 minutes Cleaning was done in 10 minutes that is WAY TOO quick for a cleaning. Also I was waiting around in the chair for probably 1.5 hours total for available people to work on me. Edit from 2 months later*: When I asked the insurance to submit a claim for me after I paid out of my pocket, the person on the phone then asked me to REMOVE MY NEGATIVE GOOGLE REVIEW! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Also they will not give me the insurance money until I sign a settlement agreement that relinquishes several of my rights. Its been over 3 months now that I have been waiting on my refund. FYI, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN A SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT TO RECEIVE YOUR REFUND! If the dentist has been paid by insurance, you are entitled to that money. (I forgot to give them my dental insurance card upon my visit and am now paying a major price of money and stress from this office).

Negative experience: Walking into this place is like walking into a car dealership! What are they going to try to SELL me today! I have never experienced an office that try’s to upsell at every turn. I’m not sure how anyone can trust their opinion with the amount they try to sell and up charge. BUYER BEWARE take your teeth elsewhere.

The entire staff is friendly and helpful, and scheduling/rescheduling is always easy—Adriana is on top of it and reaches out well in advance. I’ve been doing Invisalign for just under a year to close some gaps, and I couldn’t be happier with my results so far. Every visit feels professional and reassuring. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had nothing but a positive experience here. Yesenia, Andrea and Ryan have done a lot of work now because my teeth were an absolute catastrophe. But they’ve slowly saved what’s left and capped the rest. They’re very kind, efficient and professional. Totally recommend.

Fantastic experience: I only have excellent things to say about this dentist office. They do an excellent job with their actual dentistry work all around. The staff all pay close attention to detail and make sure the patients are comfortable while doing their work. They are incredibly hospitable and make the experience a fun one. A couple of staff that made my experience great were Yesenia and Dr. Ryan. I would definitely recommend Dentist of Long Beach.

Negative experience: Spoke to receptionist, was referred to there other location in the city of Gardena(Dentistry of Gardena). They had me set up an appointment for my son and ran my medical insurance to verify everything prior to appointment date and verification was checked out good and when I arrive to there other location on time I was told durning the waiting time in the lobby that they didn’t have the proper equipment to do the service on my sons mouth for X-rays. This place is a joke. Waisted my time, money, gas and when I told them they need to pay for all these things They refused to remedy the problem they created and amplified from one location to another. They are not honest dentistry’s.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dentist of Long Beach for about 10 months now for my ortho treatment and I have nothing but good things to say about this dental office. The girls in the front office are so sweet and always very charming. The ortho doctor is amazing too, she’s very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend this office to anyone!

Negative experience: The lady who comes to bill / share the breakdown is rude & will try to sell the unnecessary procedures aggressively & when I said sure il think about it got weirder and judgemental. Been to two dentists afterwards to get a second opinion and not only did BOTH of them suggest way less fillings / procedures needed they were way better in price too. Shop around, this place isnt it. Only giving an extra star cause they book you immediately although im now thinking that’s because theyre not having clients.

Negative experience: I recommend you listen to the call with the receptionist Adriana around 11:50pst today which was recorded for training purposes. Really good learning opportunity for customer service, I truly felt like she was having a different conversation than me. Completely unable to provide me with easy information and pricing relative to my needs and kept answering my questions with sarcasm. Had to part ways with the service before I even got into a dentists chair. I wish you and Adriana the best.

Fantastic experience: Super cool staff. First time doing this process on my own after my other dentist fell through and everyone I’ve met at this office has been super friendly and helpful as to helping me get back on track, So thankful I came across them. 100% recommend coming here

Fantastic experience: I’ve bee coming to Dentist if Long Beach for over 3 years now and I always have a great experience at Dentist of Long Beach. The staff is friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The receptionist Dani and Adriana are amazing, they always work with my work schedule and fit me in. My dental hygienist Andrea was gentle yet thorough with the cleaning and took the time to explain everything she was doing. The dentist also came in to do a quick exam before and answered all of my questions clearly. The office was clean, modern, and followed good hygiene protocols. I left with my teeth feeling fresh and sparkling. Highly recommend for routine cleanings, Invisalign and teeth whitening services here.

Negative experience: Give people the correct plan breakdown information and make sure the patient understands they are maxing out their benefits. Also, provide copay information PRIOR to patient coming into the office for an appointment instead of broadcasting to them and the entire waiting room their unexpected fee amount. And when the patient calls to inquire more info, instead of talking over the caller, be respectful and listen to them fully.

Fantastic experience: I had just moved into the area and needed to see a dentist asap. DOLB were able to see me and I had an emergency extraction performed. Everyone was so kind, gentle and reassuring that everything would be ok and it was. I’m so grateful!

Fantastic experience: I had a good experience. Andrea did my cleaning and was very careful and checked in with me. I get anxiety but she walked me through it. The front desk was very nice too. Freddy who did the xray was funny. It seemed like a really good ambiance. The dentist who reviewed my teeth was very gentle. I am supposed to go back and I will follow up how the treatment goes. So far it’s a really good place to go to.

Fantastic experience: There are only 2 receptionists i got to meet and liked bcuz they are always greeting me and are very respectful. The ones in the back, everyone changes b4 i get to know who they are. But not good. I had a problem i needed tp clarify with my regular dentist, but he left b4 he finished and No one told me which was upsetting to me. I wasnt happy with the work at the end. I left dissatisfied. Adriana is my favorite. Her people skills are exvellent and she is not only friendly and understanding, but efficient in her work. I wish some of her personality could rub off on some of the people there. Thats just my opinion.

Fantastic experience: They seem to be very thorough, in all the services they perform. But I felt somewhat pressured on my initial visit to accept all the services they offer. I hope that any of the services I decide to accept, I will have a positive experience. Their hygienist, Andrea is absolutely great! She is thorough, very understanding and easy to talk to. Fantastic experience: I can’t thank this dental office enough! I was in so much pain and scared about a possible infection after a recent implant surgery. I called on a Saturday, desperate for help, and they got me in the same day! The entire staff was kind, professional, and so reassuring during such a stressful time. The doctor took the time to explain everything and made me feel safe and taken care of. I’m beyond grateful and highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, prompt dental care.

Negative experience: If you're looking for personable, attentive, and friendly dental care, this is not the place. I went in for a routine cleaning after a year and had a genuinely awful experience. Right off the bat, the front desk told me my insurance was terminated. I insisted that wasn’t true, but the receptionist dismissed me with, "I just called them and they said your coverage is terminated. Sorry. Call them yourself." So I did. Turns out they contacted the wrong number. Still, no apology, no help, no ownership from the staff. I almost walked out right then and there, but I had already waited 45 minutes, so I decided to stay. Mistake. When the dentist finally came in, he didn’t look at me, didn't listen to me, didn't do a proper examination, barely said a word, rushed through the consultation, and made the whole interaction feel cold and impersonal. Then, after over an hour and a half of this chaos, they quoted me $800 for a cleaning. I declined the servvcies and I will NEVER be back the or any dental office associated with this group! DO BETTER! Absolutely absurd.

Negative experience: Very expensive; of the four dentists that we consulted, the Dentist of LB was the most expensive and felt they offered services which were not requested or needed. Not recommended.

Negative experience: They don't seem to take me serious. I had an appointment and the dentist was running late and they didn't think to call or email or text to inform me. They left me waiting in what would have been over an hour to an hour and a half for the dentist. This is extremely unprofessional behavior and I am* completely taken aback by the unprofessional treatment of the front desk staff. Be aware of this. *In addition to this, they inform the patients to be 15 min early for their appointment, yet they don't have the decency to inform the patient if they can't reciprocate this courtesy.*

Fantastic experience: Daniela (receptionist) Andrea & Yesenia (hygeniests) always polite and very courteous, makes my usual nightmare at the dentist a dream...because of them I don't dred going to the dentist, great dental office overall, I definitely recommend Dentist of Long Beach

Negative experience: I have been disappointed with this dentist for the last three visits, but did mot switch because it is a pain to do so. Every time they have a new hygienist and insist on xrays every visit. Today I refused xrays because they did them twice in the last year. XRays are only needed that often for those with serious issues. They refused to just clean my teeth. I walked out and will not return! I am 58 and have never had xrays more than once a year until this Dentist office, which changes staff often. I would not recommend these bullies, pushing unnecessary services! Maybe the Dental board needs to check into this company.

Fantastic experience: This place is definitely a 5 star and definitely recommended . I went in on such a short notice after ditching my usual dentist because of some issues but looked up dentist of Long Beach and checked out their reviews before heading there. Called in for a root canal and they took care of it no problems, I was really grateful that they actually took me in with no problems knowing I was a new customer and on such a short notice but not only that, they actually did a root canal within minutes of me arriving. The check in took me about 4 minutes and about 5 minutes later I was already getting my X-rays done. I have to thank the everyone in Dentist of Long Beach especially Daniela & Marisol for being really helpful and for taking the time to explain everything to me in detail. I was stunned! The procedure was so quick and I really want everyone to know the environment was clean, smelled great, I swear it was a great experience. Oh yes, they’re all bilingual so if you prefer being attended in Spanish or you want anything to be explained to you in Spanish, we’ll look no further

Negative experience: I would not recommend this dental office. The dentist was condescending and did not take the time to explain processes as he went. I did not appreciate how the financial coordinator made me feel pressured to quickly make my choice, rather than let me think it through, and heavily encourages the more costly options. There is poor communication among the staff that cause significant issues with patient care, including the admittance of key details of my visit not being documented in my chart. The only redeeming quality about this office is their dental hygienist. I wish I could look past the many bad experiences I have had with this office to keep seeing her, but instead I have dental anxiety that I didn’t have before.

Negative experience: The front desk staff and hygienist provided great service. However, I felt pressured by the 'finance representative' Cassie, to start treatment immediately. It was clear she wasn’t happy when I chose not to proceed with the process and payments on the same day. Unfortunately, the Dentist attention was the poorest I’ve ever experienced at a dental office. He didn’t take the time to explain why certain treatments were necessary, making me feel like his main concern was money rather than patient care. I initially chose this office for convenience, but I’d rather drive 30 minutes back to my previous dentist in OC for a better experience.

Positive experience: The office staff and all dental assistants were very pleasant and helpful. The dentist himself however was not very personable. I began to think I had done something to offend him. I will go back. I can give anyone a second chance.

Fantastic experience: This is the absolute best dentist I've ever went to--so much so, that I feel pleased with having scheduled a return visit! The staff are very cordial, informative, and understanding. I had just came in from a previous dentist horror story and was afraid I wouldn't find anyone that would do a (wisdom tooth removal operation) at anywhere near a reasonable price, as the last place I visited was charging ($6,209!). Not only were they able to scale down the price for the same operation--plus bone grafts--but they had me scheduled for the very next day! I also would like to give a very big endorsement for the doctor's assistant, who was very sweet and put my nerves at ease, answering all my questions and allowing me to feel relaxed in an otherwise very stressful environment (Thank you so much Ms. Yesenia, couldn't have made it through without your encouragement!). This is all to say that if you are at all stressed about a sudden development [need for an operation] or are otherwise hesitant about visiting the dentist for a checkup, and coming from someone who hadn't visited the dentist in 6 years prior out of fear, this is the place to book your appointment!

Fantastic experience: Everyone there was very welcoming and professional. Their X-ray machine blew my mind! We were able to find an affordable payment plan for my procedure and started right away. The Dr. kept me informed with everything he was working on and was incredibly focused. It was my first time going to the dentist in quite some time and there was never any judgment examining my teeth. With nothing other than reviewing our concerns and giving us straight forward answers without pressuring us. Never experienced at a dental office in my nearly 80 years such a pleasant visit...

Negative experience: My 1st visit was very unpleasant and traumatizing. I clearly explained past trauma with dentists and they extracted a tooth with minimum numbing. Did not ask or offer sedation. I was visibly traumatized, crying and trembling during the extraction and was told to be still and don't move. I had to insist they stop procedure and request sedation. The dentists exhibited no empathy or showed concern for how overhelming i was feeling. The dental assistant's were very comforting. I had to return the following day for the 2nd extraction with sedation. I would recommend they explain the procedure and set expectations for patient. Explain the potential pain or pressure the patient may experience and viable options such as sedation. I've already financially committed to a 12 month dental treatment plan and pray the continued service improves.

Fantastic experience: Only dentist we could find that could see me same day for an emergency I had. 4 hours and an emergency surgery later and I feel great. The staff and the dentist were amazing in helping me, they were even willing to numb me before we figured out what we were going to do. Very empathetic staff and I genuinely don't know what I would have done if they hadn't been able to help me. Can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Long Beach from New York and I was thoroughly impressed with Dentist of Long Beach. First off, I was able to get an appointment so quickly. From the moment I walked in to the time I left everyone was extremely friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. All of my questions were answered, and I felt comfortable from start to finish. The facility is clean and they got me in and out for my first appointment in a decent amount of time. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth was sooo friendly and personable which I appreciated! Fantastic experience: Honestly one of the best Dental experiences I ever had. I have been traumatized of dentist all my life due to bad experiences. The doctors here took real good care of me, I went for an emergency visit due to pain and they had to perform a root canal. The dentist made me so comfortable and always checked in with me during the visit. I didn’t feel any pain at all!!! Not only were they great, but also help me finance. To top off the experience the girls at the front desk are just amazing! Great customer service and support whenever ever you call and need something. This dentist is now my forever home when it comes to my dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I went to get an estimate for an implant. The receptionists were very nice and the paperwork easy to fill out. The wait for the doctor was short and the radiographs were done in a gentle manner.

Negative experience: They kept me wait6iver an hour with no excuse i had a 2o'clock appointment I arrived at 140 wasn't seen until 3 then didn't leave until 5 got nothing accomplished they tried to overcharge me I asked if they took my insurance b4 I booked the appointment I was very disappointed and would NEVER RECCOMEND OR EVER GO BACK!!!! Fantastic experience: The workers there were super nice and had a clean environment. I went for a second opinion on what my other dentist said about emergency crowns and emergency cavity fillings, and the dentist here told me that my teeth were fine and healthy. It was great to have reliable and trustworthy dentists telling you what is genuinely wrong with your teeth (or not wrong in this case). This’ll be my new go-to dentistry and not the other place I used to go to. I wish I knew this place earlier!

Fantastic experience: I previously posted a 1-star review, but after talking to them, I realized they deserve 5-stars. When my husband came in for an estimate there was a miscommunication because he asked if they "take" our insurance instead of asking if they were "in-network". A few days later we got an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for an out-of-network service priced at $637. I tried calling their office to resolve the situation, but was having trouble getting in touch with the office manager, and assumed they were trying to duck my calls, which was how I ended up giving them a 1-star review. It turned out, however, that Nora the office manager had been out sick with COVID. Upon her return she immediately gave us a call back and apologized for the misunderstanding. She made it so that we didn't have to pay anything at all, and with a lot of patience and understanding explained that an EOB is not a bill. As a show of good faith she also offered discounted rates for my husband's dental work. This was a best case scenario for me, and left me awestruck at Nora's empathy for patients and ability to resolve tricky insurance situations. I would absolutely recommend Dentist of Long Beach to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Dentist of Long Beach was very good. All of the staff whom I met were courteous, pleasant and very professional.

Negative experience: Profit over people here. GO TO LONG BEACH DENTAL, ON 3RD, IF YOU WANT BETTER CARE! I Called in with a cracked wisdom tooth emergency. They got me in same day just ti tell me the only thing they ever do with a wisdom tooth is an extraction (which they could have said over the phone). They xrayed the tooth, but then also gave me a full pano-xray even though I questioned it and said it had nothing to do with the tooth in question. (They obviously just wanted to bill my insurance for more services, even if they gave me needless radiation to my head.) Finally, after a long wait, the dentist comes in, and takes one quick look before saying "We only extract wisdom teeth. It's a useless tooth and we won't even consider a filling." Then, they quoted me almost $500 with my insurance to extract, even though my regular oral surgeon can figure out how to do the same service for $0.00!!! Now they won't give me a written referral to my oral surgeon, because they claim that they can do the service in-house, and they won't refer to a specialist. The staff is friendly enough, but they are clearly trained to over-treat, and generate sales, over genuine care, and the whole system seems designed to take advantage of poorly informed patients. Absolutely not recommended. (Update...) I went back to my regular dentist, who said that my wisdom tooth was absolutely save-able, and even though it's not common, I should keep the tooth. I was then referred to an endodontist for a root canal, and went back to my regular dentist for a crown. ...More evidence of poor practice and impersonal service.

Fantastic experience: Started coming to Dentist of Long Beach early March. it has always been a pleasure, from the front desk receptionists to the Office manager helping me in answering All my Questions about my loan. thank you Nara for reaching out to me and explaining my treatment breakdown with costs of everything. Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience with Nara who worked with me on prices and the best route of payment, she’s incredibly knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. My dental assistant was Judy who was very patient and kind during my procedures. Over all has been a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I had an issue with the billing that I received from my dental insurance at first but Nora the office manager explained the charges to me and reassured me I didn’t owe them anything. Highly recommend. Great staff .

Negative experience: Came here expecting a good experience, based off reviews, and was greatly disappointed in their customer service. First time here and they didn't even go over my x-rays with me. Came back and said my #17 needed to be removed. Like I know what that means. Come on, do better! Then, the woman proceeding to go over the financial aspect of it seemed like she had no clue what she was talking about. Terrible. The appointment took about 5 min. I still have no clue what exactly is wrong with my tooth and why it needs to get pulled out. 1. Train your team 2. Know what you need to explain to a patient. Unreal.

Fantastic experience: I used Dentist of Long Beach to finally replace my 16 year old retainers. Andrea custom made my retainers herself and they fit my teeth perfectly. She was very nice and helpful during the entire process even though I was very specific about what I wanted. All of this was at an affordable price as well. 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: The office manager worked extremely hard to get me financed for my dental work. she was very patient and attentive to my situation and in the end got me the best deal possible for my budget. I would definitely recommend Dentists of Long Beach to anyone looking for that bang for their buck.

Fantastic experience: I regret not coming here any sooner, I previously had major dental work done by another office and was unhappy with treatment completed by another Doctor office. And I came here they made me feel at ease and was able to help me correct my dental treatment plan. They are very thorough with their explanations and very detail. I left understanding my treatment plan and Dr Choi is amazing along side the Office Manager Nora who helped me along the way. I recommend this office to any one who is in need of dental work.

Fantastic experience: This place is friendly and honest. I love their staff and orthodontist! Their office manager took amazing care of my son and gave him a memorable experience with his first time getting braces. They were knowledgeable and took the time to explain to him and teach him how to take care of his new braces. Definitely recommend this dentist/ortho if you are looking. They will not disappoint.

Fantastic experience: Super impressed with this Dentist office. Had my first ever deep cleaning done and felt so safe and in such good hands the entire time. Like most others, I dread the dentist but this office was a great vibe, friendly staff, and great care. I only planned to establish care with this dentist for a deep cleaning, but I will be going to them for all my dental needs from now.
