Fantastic experience: We’ve been coming to Children’s Happy Teeth for about 6-7 years and we’ve always had a great experience. The staff is welcoming, patient, and always answers any questions I have. My daughter especially loves getting a little gift after her visit—it gives her something to look forward to! We’ve been so happy here that I now bring my two younger children as well. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Brought my 2 year old here for first dental appointment. They were professional, great with my kid, and really seem to be doing everything in their power to center the kids experience at every step. Didn't try to upcharge me for anything or sell me anything. Will be coming back

Negative experience: Parents beware! They normally call the day before to discuss our treatment plan and give us the total cost we expect to pay. When we arrived, they nearly doubled the cost and blamed it on the staff calling that they did not disclose all the fees associated with treatment. Bait and switch. I don’t normally make complaints but I felt this situation needed to be shared and addressed. I am willing to pay for services as long as I am given the correct information. They stated they need to run the insurance and let me know what was covered and what wasn’t. So we received a call the day prior to the appointment to discuss all that. I agreed to the treatment and cost. When we show up for the appointment I was quoted a different price - nearly doubled. The staff then apologized and stated I was provided the wrong information. Which I felt was not okay. The staff calling the day before should have provided all the information pertaining to the treatment - there should be no surprise costs when we arrive. Staff spoke to the office manager twice and was going to reduce the price but not to what I was quoted the day prior. They did not honor the price quoted to me as discussed on the phone. We canceled our appointment and will be taking our business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Staff is always nice and friendly. They are great with the kids and my daughter loved that after her visit she was able to choose a toy from the wall.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my kids for years to Children’s Happy Teeth in Lakewood and it is the best Dental office I’ve been too. From their general office to their ortho office. They are very professional and all the staff are always respectful and kind. I went in today for my eldest cleanings and Hope greeted us with a big smile and checked us in. Colette brought us to the back and was so sweet to my youngest daughter that did not have an appointment today and made her feel included and even printed a hello kitty sheet for my daughter to color while waiting for her sisters. Every time I take my daughters to their Ortho appointments Ana always receives us with a great smile and always asks us how we’ve been and always has those school notes ready for us for when we leave. Luis is also very kind by always making sure he asks if my girls need anything from bands to wax for their braces. The Dentists are so sweet as well, and good with kids, when I brought my 3yr old son to get his fillings the Dentist was very patient with him as well.

Fantastic experience: I love this facility so much, I was sad last year when my HMO plan said my kids aged out. So when it was time for open enrollment I made sure to get the PPO plan so I can come back. The front desk staff is very kind Bre and Hope. They are always helpful if I have questions. The Dentist and dental assistant are always patient with my daughter. I highly recommend Happy Teeth!

Fantastic experience: Ive been taking my kids to Children's Happy Teeth for a few years now and they have been nothing but lovely. The front office ladies Hope and Bre have always been pleasant when I've been in and every doctor we've seen has been great. My kids have small mouths and their xray tech Fatima has been great handling that to get the photos they need. My kids have always felt really comfortable with the hygienists which has made for easier trips to the dentist.

Positive experience: The staff is very friendly. You do feel the warm feeling of the staff and that they all get along well. The place itself looks extremely clean and the decorations are wonderfully placed. With that being said, my main issue is that the consistency of explanations when it comes to procedures is not there. From my personal experience, it seems that the providers explain briefly what needs to be done but not in detail. Once you actually show up on the day of the appointment for the procedure, the front desk/secretary tells you to sign the consent and are ones left to “explain” the procedure. Which is exactly what happened this morning. I was very honest from the get go with the staff and questioned why is the front desk left to explain a procedure when it’s supposed to be the Doctor’s job. I will say though, that the Doctor who took over today (which was not the initial from prior appointment who recommended the procedure) did make amends with me as a client. Which I truly appreciated. The Doctor who took care of my child today was wonderful and even though I was definitely upfront about my frustration of leaving it to the secretaries to explain procedures, the Doctor did verbalize that this is something out of his control and that his personal practice is to ensure that the patients/parents/guardians understand every detail of the procedures being done, which I definitely felt he cares for the patients and did not seem to take my complaint personally. If you are a client reading this review. Which I hope it does get posted, just ensure that you get explained directly from the Doctor ANY procedure being done and always ask for an itemized receipt. If you don’t understand something like a “spacer” or “porcelain crown” vs. “silver crown” and so on. Just ask what it means. Most people who don’t work for health/Dental Care or are not familiar about Health Care Practices put their FULL trust into providers because it’s a trusted profession to help people and the community. But ultimately it is up to EACH INDIVIDUAL Practitioner, Provider, Assistant, staff, and whoever OWNS a practice to do the right thing, which is explaining procedures by the providers and not the Secretary. And if a client is directly verbalizing their concerns as to why a secretary is explaining procedures instead of the provider, then it is the OWNER’S responsibility to take action and make a plan to correct their practices. All in all, this is honestly one of the best Dental Children’s clinics I can personally attest has an AMAZING Customer service. So if you are looking for a place to make you feel welcomed and super sweet Doctors and staff, like Jenny (at the front desk) then this is a great place for you to take your child, but again, whenever you sign consents make sure it’s all fully explained by the Provider! Love the atmosphere & kid-friendly decor, coloring table & pages for kids, tvs in the waiting room, lovely music, and toys at the end of visit ( while supplies last) My daughter is always looking forward to her appointment and wondering when it’s time to go back! There’s also quiet / private rooms if needed and Ortho is right next door& super convenient to keep in mind for older kids.
