Fantastic experience: Great cleaning experience, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Finally found a skilled, competent dentist in Long Beach! Everyone from Dr. Listiyo to his entire staff have been a pleasure to deal with. I had such a negative experience with my last dentist that I've avoided seeing a dentist for over a year. Dr. Listiyo recently replaced a couple of fillings and I experienced no pain during or after the procedure. If you're searching for a dentist, I would highly recommend Dr. Listiyo!

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely amazing from the staff to the doctor to the atmosphere Dr listiyo family Dental did not disappoint never in my 35 years of life have i had a dental experience like i did today all staff was very knowledgeable informative about the entire process i came in for my visit on unfortunate circumstances found myself experiencing very excruciating pain and they where able to squeeze me in same day I arrived about 15 minutes early just to have time to fill out paperwork etc upon arrival was greated by Nicole at the front desk she was amazing as well throughout the entire process i was kind of mia due to pain so my wife handled most of the speaking for me but nicole was absolutely amazing andwered every and any question we had upon arrival dr listiyo begin to bring me back and assess my situation seems i was going to need a root canal due to a on-lay situation done previously by another dentist different location recommend less than one year later its already a problem sheesh :/ long story short dr listiyo made this unfortunate situation such a great experience he is patient kind reassuring everything you could want in this situation and to take it further after all is said and done on his own time office is closed he calls to check the n me to make sure im okay just wow think i found my forever dental office thanks again team -Detric

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of visiting Listiyo Dental last minute. Upon arriving, the office was clean, neat, and smells so good! They were able to squeeze me in their schedule. It was my first time experiencing high quality service with Dr. Listiyo and his amazing staff. They were welcoming and efficiently organized. The initial paperwork was done electronically prior to my visit which made the process quick. The dental hygienist was knowledgeable (11 years experience). She explained each step of the way and the reason for any procedures given. I felt comfortable and painless because her cleaning skills were so gentle yet my mouth felt so polished! Her recommendations included actual proof of the X-rays that she showed and explained in a language that I clearly understood. (Not dental jargon) lol .. I always have bad experiences with other Dentist upselling me procedures I don’t need for a few bucks. After reviewing the X-rays I met with Matt, the doc, for any additional feedback regarding achieving healthier gums and teeth. And he was just as meticulous as the hygienist! He is knowledgeable with my current condition and has excellent recommendations to keeping my teeth from further harm. He took the time and didn’t rush me. Asked multiple times if I had any questions before he left ( very hospitable). Lastly, they also work with you financially to help out with payment plans if needed. Truly a blessing to find my go to dental place! Xoxo

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Dr. Listiyo and his office. I went in with 2 fillings that had fallen out from a different dentist's work. They recommended a crown due to the depth of the fillings and it would last longer as it's on my main molar. The entire process was very easy and the doctor always made sure I didn't feel any pain and was comfortable throughout the entire visit. I drive out to Dr. Listiyo from Riverside just because I love the work he has done and is very meticulous to detail. Would highly recommend visiting.

Fantastic experience: I went to Listioly Family Dental with no prior research simply because they were nearby and in-network, and I was genuinely impressed. The office was clean, modern, and calming (the zen dog slideshow on the TV was a surprisingly great touch), and the staff was gentle, thorough, and informative throughout my visit. The dentist was courteous, professional, and kind to his team, which always speaks volumes — I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I never want to go to dentist but Ralph was absolutely the best !!!! He was kind and gentle and made sure I was okay the entire time , I had a back injury and he made sure I wasn’t in pain and comfortable in chair !!!! I was in need of a crown, because one of my molars was severely cracked, causing me great pain & discomfort. I endured the discomfort due to a phobia about dentists, until the pain became worse than my phobia. Aside from routine bi-annual cleanings, I've only had my wisdom teeth removed - no other dental procedures. When I arrived, the waiting area was calm, peaceful & inviting. Nicole, the receptionist, was very warm & welcoming. She checked me in & processed my new-patient paperwork quickly & efficiently! Thank you Nicole! Olivia & Edwin, the dental assistants who aided me throughout this process, were very knowledgeable, thorough & kind! Olivia is warmly engaging & Edwin's voice is low & soothing, a very present help for nervous patients. Thank you both, Olivia & Edwin! ☺️ Dr. Listiyo is very nice & compassionate. Throughout the process, he was quite considerate and attentive, routinely asking how I was doing, in addition to checking on my pain levels! Dr. Listiyo is very skilled in his craft & he's the consummate perfectionist, ensuring his work was perfect by his own high standards & pleasing to the patient, as well. Negative experience: Please be aware of their billing and establishment ! I went into this office with a toothache. They informed me that I needed a new cap on one tooth and a root canal and cap on another. The young lady that worked there told me that I had used up all my benefits from my dental plan. They tried to get me to use an app to apply for a loan in order for them to proceed forward with my surgery. I to used my credit card and pay 2766.00 dollars. I contacted my dental plan to see if I had used up on my benefits for the year? I found out they had also billed them for 6280.00 $ and were paid that amount. Under investigation right now

Fantastic experience: I've just been once to this dentist, but I will be back! They were timely, professional, and thorough. They also seem to value and maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness (such as visible sterilizing, wearing gloves, opening new packages in front of patients, etc.), which creates a more comfortable and reassuring environment for patience. The dental hygienist took care with my service and was very pleasant. The dentist was thorough, listened to my questions, and provided thoughtful advice and care. Both the hygienist and dentist explained what they were doing while they were doing it, which is helpful and informative. The office receptionist took time to explain to me the post-visit care plan and procedures. There is a parking structure available as well, which is a plus.

Fantastic experience: This team is the kindest, most caring, helpful group of people ❤️ a rare find these days! I feel blessed I chose Dr Listiyo by chance. After reading the reviews and speaking with him via text, and discussing insurance with Tracy (she pulled a rabbit out of her hat) I felt confident about making the first appointment. He is fixing a difficult problem caused by my last dentist. Today was my 2nd visit for x-rays and cleaning. Next week I return to fix a cavity in the tooth that caused the issue. I'm feeling confident and grateful. Once in a while the Universe throws us a bone

Gorgeous view in the afternoons is always a plus!! Please don’t be scared to visit this location if you suffer from bad dental anxiety, Listiyo changed my fear into comfort!

Negative experience: This place is a scam!!! Do not trust them. Please read to save yourself some money and unnecessary procedures. I’ve been here twice. The first time I thought maybe it was just an off day for their office so I decided to give them another try and go to my follow up appointment 6 months later. And while I did have a better experience, I did have some weird things happen that made me realize I should never return here. During my first time here, they told both me and my fiancé we needed to do scaling and a deep cleaning for periodontal disease. My gut told me that was weird. What are the odds both of us were getting 5-6’s when we both take good care of our teeth and floss everyday. Our teeth and gums look totally fine. No other dentist has ever mentioned this to us before and we just went to our old dentist a few months prior. We told them we weren’t interested in this. I also think it’s important to note that all over the rooms they have little flyers and posters for this procedure. I came in for my second appointment and they tried pushing it on me again. It seems like they are trying to upsell. I am wondering if they tell every patient this? They also told my fiancé that he had 7 cavities. Again, he just went to the dentist a few months prior and had none …. Weird. He also wants to remove one of my fillings I already have and put a new one in. I don’t have any pain or problems with it so I said no. My fiancé decided to not go to his second appointment and got a second opinion at another dentist instead. The dentist said, and I quote, “No cavities and so far from needing root scaling and planing that it’s laughable.” These people are scamming clients into getting these unnecessary procedures!!! His perio charting came back with all 1-3’s at the new dentist. This place gave him all 5-6’s. On top of this, nearly every person we encountered that worked there acted like they were walking on eggshells and seemed almost scared/nervous? I’ve never experienced anything like that before. Both times this happened. My fiancé had the same experience. Get a second opinion before making any decisions here. It seems like this dentist is just money hungry.

Fantastic experience: About two years ago, my front filling came off and my regular dentist couldn’t see me in an emergency. Listiyo Family Dental understood my situation and saw me right away. Dr. Matt stayed after business hours to work on my filling. For that I am grateful and appreciate of Dr. Matt and his team of professional staff.

They’re warm, professional, and genuinely kind. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’re in good hands. There’s no upselling, no pressure. just meticulous, thoughtful dentistry. I have underlying health conditions that affect my gums and plaque levels, and for the first time, I feel like I have a team that truly understands how to manage it. The attention to detail in every treatment is remarkable. They take their time, explain everything, and make sure you’re completely comfortable throughout. Communication is also top-notch. They’re incredibly responsive, even over the weekend. It’s rare to find medical professionals who are this available and attentive. Most importantly, my gum and dental health have never been better. I finally feel like I’m not just getting cleanings, I’m getting actual care. I can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: My family and I were needing to find a new dentist because we just moved down from Texas. We searched online and saw that this place had great reviews. We live 20 miles from this location but wanted to check it out. If I could rate this review more than 5 stars then I totally would. Our overall experience was fantastic. Dr.Listiyo and his entire staff treated my kids and I so well. We went in for a regular cleaning and I can honestly say our teeth has never been so clean after the sessions. What’s even more great are the prices. We got our x rays, testing, and cleaning for each of our teeth for under $130! This deal is unbeatable because other places would charge over $160 for just the cleaning. Based on our experience, I can tell they genuinely care about the overall health of your teeth and they’re not money grabbers like other places. The dentist here also give wonderful suggestions and advice to keep your teeth healthy. I told my husband that we’re going to start coming here for all of our teeth checkups. Even though I live far from this location, I don’t mind the drive because I trust what they’re doing.

Fantastic experience: Prior i searched google for a dental clinic, i prayed for guidance from God for a good & not a money hungry dental provider as i was so discontented & disappointed with my previous dentists. I typed in “best dentist in Long Beach” in the search box. The Listiyo Family Dental showed up with a whopping 4.9 rating. I got curious so i went through the previous reviews. I was amazed as they were all praises & appreciation for Dr. Matthew down to his assistants & front liners. Thanks be to God for guiding me to the Listiyo Family Dental. That, at last, i founded complete satisfaction & contentment with their dental services. Assistants Tracey, Violet & Ralph were kind, courteous & gentle in the execution of their respective roles. The dentist himself, Dr. Matthew is so great!! He is very careful, gentle, considerate & honest. Too honest to say that there’s nothing wrong with my fillings as i initially thought it was partially chipped off coz i can feel the sharp edge rubbing onto my tongue & is hurting me. He said, the edge is just rough & he can simply smooth it out if, i agree. Had i went to any of the dentist I have had before, they will surely make the job complicated so they can charge more (based on my own experience). I knew, though that polishing is not costly but, i definitely NOT expecting a free of charge service since, they took photos, x-rays & Dr. Matthew spent his precious time & effort polishing it just to make me feel better & comfortable. I can’t THANK YOU enough, Dr. Matthew in expressing my deepest gratitude for your kindness, care, understanding, consideration of my needs, feelings & my capacity to pay. Although I don't particularly love going to the dentist it makes it so much nicer when the staff is a 10 out of 10. If you live in the Long Beach area this practice should be top of your list. Fantastic experience: I came to Listiyo Family Dental after a bad experience at another dentist. I was very tentative going in but that quickly went away as the staff was so kind and helpful. Had a root canal done and was well taken care of throughout. Quick and painless! I can happily say that I have found a dentist I trust. Thanks Listiyo!!

Negative experience: Dr. Listiyo told me I had one cavity. Then, I went to get the cavity filled and he said, "You have three cavities, which one are we filling today?" I said I only have one cavity. His office kept telling me I had two additional cavities. I emailed Dr. Listiyo, asking to show me the X-Rays where I had the two additional cavities. He responded and said he cannot see them in the X-rays and will remove them off the treatment plan. A few months later, his office called and said AGAIN I had two cavities that needed to be filled. By that time, I went to another dentist, and they did full Xrays and said I had 0 cavities. Also, my stepdad was a dentist so I know what questions to ask, and it's upsetting that his office kept telling me I had cavities when I did not. I lost trust is his practice and will no longer return.

Fantastic experience: I feel like I hit the lottery with Dr. Listiyo’s practice. The office itself is easy to find, offers parking in the back and is clean with a relaxed atmosphere. Dr. Matthew is soft-spoken, kind, detail-oriented, conservative when it comes to treatment, and checks in frequently to make sure you’re comfortable. Something I really appreciate about the practice is how comprehensive it is; besides the basics like fillings and cleanings, he offers Invisalign and CareCredit, can do crowns in-house and I want to say root canals as well. Aaaaand he’s open Saturdays! The office staff is absolutely wonderful. So far I’ve met the funny and caring Tracy (front desk), friendly dental hygienist Naomi, hilarious Rachel, who numbed me up with the gentlest hand (I used to be needle-phobic and I hardly felt anything), Olivia, who used a fancy tool to take 3D images of my whole mouth, and one guy whose name I missed but assisted Dr. Matthew during my procedures. Each one was excellent at their specific job, personable, knowledgeable, and kind. I really can’t say enough good things about my experience so far. I’m just beyond thankful to have found them.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Listiyo and his wonderful team make going to the dentist a positive experience! I was very nervous for my first visit because I was experiencing pain in an old filling and expecting the worst (root canal). Renee assured me that I was in very good hands and would be taken care of, after which I felt so relieved. The second visit ended up being almost 4 hours long and involved a fair amount of injections and drilling, but Dr. Listiyo and Nicole kept me comfortable and calm the entire time. They even have noise-canceling headphones and Spotify to drown out the drilling sounds, which should be an amenity in all dental offices! I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a small holiday gift after that marathon appointment. By the third and final appointment, where I would finally have the permanent crowns placed, I wasn't nervous at all. I trusted that I would be taken care of and that they would do everything possible to minimize my discomfort and pain. There was a mother and 8-year old patient in the room next to me and I could hear Nicole interacting with the little one, who would be receiving numbing shots. She did a great job of comforting the young patient and preparing her for the pain. The staff here is extremely thoughtful and considerate of their patients well-being. If you're looking for a great dentist and dental staff, consider paying Dr. Listiyo and his team a visit!

The front office staff went above and beyond to help me understand my insurance and what I should expect for the current visit and future visits. The hygienist was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. The dentist came in and did a comprehensive overview. During the overview, the dentist empowered me to make informed decisions based off his recommendations and findings. Every staff member really took their time to make sure things were being done well. Overall, I’ve never had a better dental experience and will be recommend Listiyo Family Dental to friends and family. They will be my primary dental office going forward.

Fantastic experience: I love this place! I know that’s not what people typically say about a dentist, especially after getting three fillings. Haha! Dr. Listiyo and Hector were both so polite, professional and gentle. They made time to fit my schedule in a short notice to help me with an ongoing issue I had from a different dentist and I am so happy I switched to Dr. Listiyo. I switched insurance from HMO to PPO to make sure I could go to them. His wife and all the staff are super nice too and I just always have a good experience since I switched. It took me 3 years since moving to SoCal to find a dentist I can trust and not worry about being overcharged and know we will be treated well. So grateful we found this place.

Negative experience: I go to the dentist every 6 months. I've had one cavity in my life, 55 years. While out of town my wife & I visited this dentist for what we thought would be a cleaning. I had 4 cavities that needed to be drilled. My wife had 5 cavities according to this dentist. I went in for the work, my wife did not. My wife went back to our normal dentist, not 1 cavity or issue was found for drilling. I am still having problems with a tooth that he drilled twice. I blame myself for agreeing to the work. I knew better.

Fantastic experience: I am someone who hates going to the dentist and combined with a move into the area, I just delayed seeing a dentist for years. When I finally decided to make an appointment, I found Dr Listiyo online with good reviews. I couldn't be happier to have found him. Filling out all the forms online prior to my appointment allowed me to simply give my name for check in. The 3D imaging was an a great tool for seeing exactly what all my teeth looked like. After discussing my action plan, Dr Listiyo and his assistant offered to stay an extra 4 hours to finish most of my dental work that same day. The entire staff made me feel like a VIP with service above and beyond, I'm happy to say I found my new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Update after 9 months: Dr. Listiyo told me upon the first x-rays that I had two cavities that needed to be removed, one of which he did an excellent job filling. I didn't have time to do both fillings in one session. I was out of town and I chipped my crown (15 yr. old crown) and put in adult braces, having to see two separate dentists who did x-rays on my teeth. Neither dentist identified the cavity, and I lastly went to my friend who also said he couldn't see it. I made my friend drill in the tooth and he said it was a deep cavity, and that he was glad he drilled before it became more problematic. THREE other dentists did not identify the cavity. I cannot recommend Dr. Listiyo enough. The staff and Dr. Listiyo were very attentive and friendly. They have newer technology/equipment to examine your teeth and were considerate of my time crunch. I went in for a cleaning, which was thorough, and we talked about dental health goals and made plans accordingly. Highly recommend this practice!

Negative experience: TL;DR - Providers should read the patient chart before asking a bunch of condescending questions and assuming we don't know how to brush our teeth. Read the chart, confirm with the patient to build trust and verify, and then make a plan together. Don't make me repeat everything that's in the chart. My teeth are in my head and I brush them multiple times a day. So, perhaps I know my health history. Yes, I have recession and know why. Read my chart. Yes, I have a ton of sensitivity and use sensitive toothpaste. Read my chart. Yes, I know how to floss. If you had read my chart, you'd know I have a special flosser AND Waterpik. Yes, I had my previous dentist send you the last 5 years of history. Please read my chart. Yes, I've seen two Periodontists in the last 2 years and know my options for gum recession. Yes, I wear my Invisalign at night to avoid grinding. READ MY CHART! Then, confirm with me and then let's make a plan. Don't scold or shame me about my teeth. And then don't do it AGAIN on my second visit. Patient experience is more important than selling more services or your god complex.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Listiyo and staff are AWESOME!!! He is a fantastic dentist with excellent bedside manner who explained my specific dental findings in great detail and didn't push me to pursue any interventions. Just gave his recommendations. During my fillings, he always asked if I was doing ok or needed anything throughout my procedure. Further, his staff is fantastic and the prices seem very reasonable compared to my prior dental experiences at Marina Smiles, which was essentially a corporate car dealership where I would be pressured to pursue more in-depth cleanings and even an expensive procedure with no explanation or hint of an issue at my prior 6 month cleanings. I never had that feeling with Dr. Listiyo or staff and appreciated it. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest dentist in Long Beach.

I had been with the same dentist for a majority of my life, and as I got older, the patient care went down significantly. I had fillings that weren't placed/done correctly, and ultimately took the chance to visit a brand new dental office. The Listiyo dental office immediately addressed my concerns, fixed my fillings, and did a full consult to educate me on how to increase my dental preventative care. Fantastic experience: Best dentist experience I’ve ever had!! I’ve always struggled finding a decent dentist, sometimes due to type of insurance, and sometimes for other reasons. When I made the appointment they said to plan for 1.5 hours (it was my first apt with them so it was longer than normal). At the end, it was exactly 1.5 hours which was helpful to have known from the beginning especially in the middle of a work day. Rene was my dental hygienist and she was extremely thorough, very informative, made sure I was comfortable. The office also has great updated technology for x-rays, full scan, etc. Clean office. Front office staff Nicole was very helpful answering my questions about pricing for different procedures and my options. Dr. Listiyo was very friendly, informative, and made sure I left with all questions answered. Highly highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience. I came in for an emergency visit due to an extreme tooth pain. Not only was the Listiyo Family team super welcoming, they all took such good care of me. I was able to be seen the very same day for a root canal that didn’t hurt at all! On top of everything I am currently 35 weeks pregnant with a high risk pregnancy & they were so patient with me and took all my worries away. I highly recommend this practice for all your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Mimi, Matthew and Nicole at Listiyo Family Dental took such good care of me. I suddenly chipped my back molar in my sleep and needed to fix it asap. I was able to get a same day appointment for a cleaning and assessment, and I came back the following morning for the quickest and smoothest filling I've ever had in my life. Everyone feels kind and takes the time to know you. I'm glad to have finally found a dentist since I recently moved to the area.

Fantastic experience: I don’t know who looks forward to dental work. If YOU do, you need mental help. That said, if you have to go (and you should) this office is THE BEST. If dental work was Disneyland, this is it. I’m probably the worst dental client a dentist could hope for by everyone ignored that and constantly asked if I was OK, texted the day after to confirm I was okie. Amazing.

Fantastic experience: Moved to the area about 2 years ago and was so hesitant to find a dentist because I’ve had such horrible experiences in the past. Then one day I had so much pain in my back tooth I had to find someone to fix it. Enter Listiyo Family Dental, I had to have two cavities filled and a wisdom tooth extracted. I had so many nerves and so much anxiety for absolutely nothing! They took such good care of me the numbing process was so gentle and so effective I felt NOTHING. Fantastic experience: Very impressed! I have spent the past 5 years searching for a dentist in Long Beach that I really actually liked. After visiting three different ones over the years that were just ok, I think i’ve finally found my spot in Listiyo Family Dental. They were above and beyond friendly, attentive and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Tiffany who cleaned my teeth was wonderful, easy to talk to and explained everything thoroughly. It was also my first experience getting a digital scan where you can really see everything going on with your teeth/gums on a screen right in front of you. It was especially helpful when the Dr came in and could point out my exact problem teeth and i could see it too. Dr Matthew was so so warm and kind and made sure all my concerns were addressed and questions answered. 10/10 would recommend to all my friends in the Long beach/Naples area. Oh and street parking with no meter right in front was a breeze during the time i went so that was a plus!

Fantastic experience: Simply treating people with a little care, respect & kindness is definitely a lost art now days. You really have no way of knowing what a person goes through on the daily. Currently I’m dealing with a traumatizing experience that has had me closed off from people and most interactions. Overwhelmed & Uninsured I was afraid while dealing with my recent dental problems causing unbearable pain which forced me to reach out to near by offices. First few calls wasn’t exactly ideal, by god’s grace I came across Listiyo Family Dental! I can hear by the tone of Nicole’s voice & words spoken that she actually cared, I was scheduled and the rest was history. Dr. Matthew and the listiyo fam staff mirrored the same care sentiments along with elite professionalism upon my visit. After Two extractions and a filling it felt like life was restored. Fantastic experience: I ate hard shell taco and cracked 2 teeth.. I call the next day and got a same day appointment for consultation. Scheduled for extraction two days later. I have never seen a dentist office be so accommodating to their clients. And they do procedures often during the week so that you don’t have to wait for the once a month schedule.. The Dentist and his crew are awesome!!! The office has a welcoming feeling. The assistants know what they are doing. The doctor knows his stuff and has a gentle touch and a great sense of humor.. I was freaking out when they said you will awake but numb while we pull these two teeth. But the doctor’s touch was so soft I didn’t feel anything. The drill sounded like R2-D2 I pointed out and we had good laugh. The wait time is not long at all. And post check up took less then 30 mins from walking on the door.. I am so grateful that my goggle search for dentist was not a dud…
