Negative experience: The wait times are disgusting. Clear your schedule bc you will wait closer to an hour each visit to be seen. They will tell you at check in 20 mins. What a joke.

Negative experience: I had waited over a week for my appointment and was very clear when I made the appointment I simply needed to get my metal fixed underwire either repaired or removed (it’s started to come off). I showed up for my appointment on time, there was no one at the desk. Someone finally came out, she was very nice, and said someone will be out to get me shortly — I was in the waiting room for over 45 MINUTES. No one at the desk to talk too, no one came to update me. Finally the tech came, she didn’t seem to know why I was there (not for braces, just my fixed underwire retainer) then went to speak to their manager and this is when I was told it would be over $300 to repair my underwire or an office visit fee if I wanted to have it removed (over $250). WHAT? So I said thank you and left. I wasn’t even in the room 5 minutes. I asked if I’d be charged for this visit and they said no, if I receive a bill for essentially wasting an hour of my time I’m going to flip. I’m sure there can be a great experience with this office, unfortunately it wasn’t mine and I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone based on my experience.

Fantastic experience: I love this Orthodontic office I’ve been coming for about a year now and I’ve never had a bad experience. The hygienists/techs have some of the best personalities and I always have a great conversation when I’m seen.

Negative experience: I’ve never had a bad experience at this location until yesterday. I’ve had Invisalign for about a year and finally completed treatment and had my attachments removed. The lady that helped me (Anna) is what I had a problem with. Throughout the whole appointment she said very little and didn’t do much instructing. Almost as if she was expecting me to know what was going on. While taking my attachments off she was in such a rush and just digging and scraping so fast. The attachment pieces were flying in my mouth and face and she didn’t say two words the entire time. I had to ask her to check one of my teeth because it felt like the glue was still on. When it came time to take updates pictures she handed me the mouth tools and expected me to know what to do with them. She was rushing and trying to take the pictures before the other assistant came in to get more of the glue off. When doing my final scan she was shoving the tool all over my mouth and getting frustrated that it wasn’t producing a clear image. Normally the techs are upbeat and informative, but I’m this case I felt I was almost a bother to her. At the end I asked what I should do with my current liners. She said I can wear them “if I want” so my teeth don’t shift. The whole appointment was uncomfortable and disappointing. A week later I got my retainer only to realize they left one of the glue pieces on my back molar. So now I have to go back in to get that removed and it left a noticeable indention in my retainer. When you spend thousands of dollars on something you expect a little more. I signed up for Invisalign on a holiday incentive for an amazon gift card and teeth whitening system. It was like pulling teeth to get the gift card and I have yet to receive my teeth whitening kit. I was told I’d get it at the end of treatment so when I asked they said they would have it ready for me when I picked up my retainer. When I picked up my retainer the lady said she would have to contact someone else. It’s a never ending circle.

Negative experience: Don't schedule patients, if the staff is not going to show up. If a patient miss the appointments you guys put a big fit. Start by being accountable yourself.

Natalie is very methodical and kind when explaining the patients needs (my grandson Dade) to both of us. She also provided Dade with a video on You Tube that will help him better understand how to care for both his teeth and braces. Natalie is a wonderful asset to your clinical team. Positive experience: **UPDATE** I've been a client at Behl for some time now and I was really deciding whether or not I wanted to update my review. Behl is still ok as far as the staff being professional except yesterday when I had an issue and she seemed unbothered about what I said to her. So, one of my brackets broke and I called to get it fixed they said Thurs. I ended up going in there 30min early on accident. 2 is when I got there. When I looked at the time again it was 2:53 and still no one called my name. I hate having an appt at a certain time and still have to wait FOREVER. This isn't the first time. They are always backed up or running behind. When I decided to get up and say I will just come another day because you all are taking to long. She said ok! No sympathy, empathy nothing. They don't have to be on time with tightening your braces, but they want you to be on time with making your payment. This place is changing my feelings about this place. Js. I say don't go based off what I say. Experience it for yourself. I really wanted to wait to share my experience with Behl Orthodontics after I have had my braces in for a little while and I've been to a couple appt to really get to know everyone and see how they are with scheduling and with me as their client after some time. But, my first experience was nice. The head guy, I didn't catch his name, was really down to earth and funny. He wanted to get his business name out there, so all who asked where I got them done I did let them know it was Behl Ortho that did them. If I feel comfortable and I had a great experience and I feel everyone is customer service friendly all the around, from front desk staff, to dental assistant or ortho assistant, to X-ray techs etc. I'm sold. EVERYONE was Professionally nice. I appreciate that. I hope this business continues to keep it's Professionalism, and thrives.

Fantastic experience: Kaay and all the staff demonstrated extreme professionalism, knowledge, and care for their patients. My appointment went smoothly as I knew I was in trusted hands. I cannot wait to return for my upcoming appointments.

Negative experience: The last visit we had was scary! The technician working with my child was literally falling asleep while doing a procedure! Everytime she will open her eyes, she will pick up something from the tray as if she was picking up something that was not there! I had to hold off calling somebody’s attention until i said “That’s It!” I called another staff’s attention and told her my concern. Im pretty sure Dr. Behl heard me too, as he was just standing next to the staff i talked to. I hope Dr. Behl will not tolerate his people sleeping while working. If people are not able to stay awake while doing their job then they’re not fit to work! They should just stay home!

Negative experience: This orthodontic practice is running a false advertisement for discounted treatment. I saw my first red flag when I completed the online documents prior to my visit. They ask for your SSN for a free consultation. This information was required to complete the paperwork, not optional. I did not have a good vibe when I first walked in. It was something about the lack of cleanliness and basic maintenance of the office. The X-ray tech, Natalie was professional and patient. I did not meet with the actual orthodontist to discuss treatment options, which was another red flag. The person I met with started explaining the treatment needed and the time frame it would take. She said they were waiting for my insurance to confirm authorization when I already notated on the online screening that it would be self-pay. I asked why was my SS# needed for the prescreening documents. She downplayed it and said that it is a medical check and it doesn’t affect your credit score points. They offered 3rd party financing and in house financing. If monthly payments go too low, you will pay interest, which is all understandable. This is the kicker. The estimate given was literally $1000 more than the estimates I received from the two reputable orthodontic practices I had been to in the last month. The treatment period was the same time frame as the other practices. Behl Orthodontics, thanks, but no thanks. You aren’t doing me any favors. I’ll definitely be going with Butterfoss and Barton Orthodontics right next door. It was a much better experience.

Positive experience: Pros: The work speaks for its self. Staff is friendly and informative. They take transfers and our insurance. If you need to make payments. They have different options available. Cons is over booking. So if you don’t mind waiting no problem. Price $$$. Ex. Paying 2x the amount we were paying in CA. That’s in maintenance only because we’re transfer. But they’re only one close. I could fine excepting transfer.

Negative experience: The staff is extremely kind but the wait is absolutely ridiculous. You set an appointment & you still have to wait 45min-1hr after your set appointment EVERY time!

Fantastic experience: My daughter really liked her visit to Behl. The staff were knowledgeable, and friendly. They made my daughter feel relaxed. After all, getting braces is a traumatic experience in a teens life. As her parent, I am pleased with Behl.

Positive experience: This is our 4th visit I believe since getting braces- two offices- and today’s 1 hour wait past our appt time was NOT the exception. Unfortunately very long waits and changing techs has been our experience every appt we’ve had. Each time these surveys come to us, I’ve hesitated and not done them because the techs have been so friendly and apologetic. I don’t want it to look back on them- they’re just trying to keep up. The problem is one I worried about going into getting braces… they are spread too thin with too many locations, too little techs and too packed of appts. They can’t catch up and are as frustrated as we (the patients and parents) are. I spoke to our gal and told her what I’ve written here and was encouraged to write the truth of what’s happening because only when enough patients speak out, will it hopefully change. I would much prefer the dr have 2 locations that are done nicely, put time and money into those and allow more time for appts rather than what feels like “quantity over quality”. That said, if Yorktown or Williamsburg isn’t on the list, that would be a big problem since we’ve committed to these braces and driving anything further makes it too challenging to get to for after school hours. Already consumes whole afternoon to evening with driving, traffic and wait time etc. This is another aspect that’s been a real letdown: Not only hard to get in for 5-6 week appt, it’s impossible to get in just to see someone for an issue like cutting wire or teeth resting on brackets. Impossible. We tried again and again. Hoping this helps others in deciding if it’s worth their investment of money and time. The staff struggles with it and is friendly about it all but they need it to change as well. KUDDOS to the staff who have stuck with it for so long. We do appreciate them! I hope things start changing and they get ahead of the issues at hand. I believe and hope the braces are worth it all and from that aspect, so far so good. Thank you for listening.

Negative experience: This has got to be the worst customer service ev-er. I have literally been waiting since Feb 6 to get my clear retainer. My permanent retainer broke so I went in to get it fixed on Feb 6th. Got there, they said I should get a new retainer since it might not fit the new perm one. I said OK. I got scanned. That retainer was supposed to come in Feb 26th. I go to pick it up on that day because I got a text it was ready - get there, it hadn't come in yet. OK. Rescheduled. March 4 - I went to the location to get them, and the front desk said they tried to call me (the morning of an 8:45 am appointment) to tell me it hadn't come in yet. We rescheduled. [Got a text, so I went in one more time, I can't even remember the date, as I stopped putting them in my calendar. When I got there, though, I told her to PLEASE give me 24 hours to let me know of the cancellation because I had to travel to that location!] March 11 - Got a text. I went in to pick up my retainer and they FINALLY told me it's lost. Said that it was better to rescan because it had been so long since the initial appointment. Please note: Each time I went to this location, I received a TEXT message that my retainers were there and REMINDER of my upcoming appointment. This was NOT me skipping to the location hoping and wishing they arrived. March 25 - Behl canceled my appointment and texted me to tell me it was rescheduled to 4/8. March 27th - my perm broke again! I called in to ask why on earth my appointments keep changing. The customer service lady said a note went out that "patient canceled." I read the text they sent me (on March 25th at 8:39 am) back to her. "Invisalign is still delayed with shipping retainers." She tried to rush me off like, oh, well, the next appointment is on 4/8. She had NO clue what was going on. I didn't cancel anything! I don't know if it's the Hampton office, but that Yorktown one never did this to me! There were times when I came and they were delayed a bit, but they communicated that to me BEFORE walking in that door. And they definitely didn't put any notes in file saying I canceled appointments (that I absolutely needed) to. It's going on 2 months now.... This is out of control. Keep your teeth safe and away from that Hampton location.

Everyone was so nice and professional, especially Ms. Latrice (not sure of the spelling of her name). She always had a smile on her face and an encouraging word every time I saw her. Thank you!

Negative experience: Honestly, if I didn't already start my kids' braces here, I would be leaving. They were good at first, and slowly their office in Hampton has gone down hill. They are ALWAYS running late. Not by 5 minutes or anything, more like 30 minutes every time. I can't wait for my kids to be done here.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this orthodontist to everyone! I got Invisalign. I am beyond impressed and satisfied with my results. My teeth look great they are nice and straight. They were crooked and had spaces before I started. I was very insecure about smiling and taking pictures. Now I smile showing my teeth all the time. Thank you so much Dr. Behl! Update: I went back May 2023 because I lost my retainers. The staff is always so polite when I visit especially at the Hampton office. I always feel comfortable coming back knowing that the people helping me out is going to be so friendly. I would highly recommend this orthodontist to everyone.

Dr Bel & his team works fast he told me he could fix my smile in 10months and I was super excited to hear that he even has a dentist office that he partners with if you don’t already have one so you can get regular cleanings seriously he’s the best don’t walk RUN to see Dr.Bel to fix your crooked smile

Negative experience: Do not recommend. My daughter had a plan worked out I approved it. Thats not what was done to her teeth. She has missing teeth, one tooth turned backwards. We have to start from scratch again.
