Fantastic experience: This was truly an incredible experience! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by friendly front-desk staff with a quick check-in, to the execution-driven hygienist and the knowledgeable, down-to-earth orthodontist. This was my first appointment, and I got the royal treatment: full X-rays, an ultrasonic scaler cleaning, a scan for a night guard, and I even had a composite filling done on the front face of my tooth. I would highly recommend this Hampton location. The facility was clean, the staff wore face coverings, fresh gloves, and used new utensils/ tools. The only improvement I would suggest is for the company to invest in new heart rate / blood pressure devices (need to be more accurate) Mine was elevated (still in a safe range) compared to my Garmin's accuracy, but it did sound like services would be rescheduled if blood pressure was not in there safe range.

Fantastic experience: Morrison Dental on Big Bethel is the place to go for all your dental needs or even if you need to lighten your mood. From ambiance to esthetics...they get an A+. The staff is super welcoming especially Cassandra. Her charm, smile, professionalism, and hands-on knowledge is top tier. I recommend Morrison Dental one hundred percent. Thank you guys and keep up the excellent work!

Fantastic experience: I love this office so much. Everyone is so pleasant, the staff is VERY diverse, and the music is always good! Thank you Dr. Hong, Christian, JQ, and all receptionists for all that do with so much pleasantry and care. It makes a big difference and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Negative experience: Despite spending tens of thousands of dollars with Morrison dental group they decided they're going to cancel my appointment that I have had scheduled for over 6 months, with only a couple days notice, something they would be charging me $60 for doing if I did it. And then they have the gall to tell me that I can't reschedule until April. Why don't you cancel someone else's appointment then? They play games like this all the time I stuck around for a while because I liked Dr.Abiad but he's not even there anymore this place sucks. They overscheduled themselves and then you have to deal with it but God forbid anything comes up that prevents you from making an appointment they're going to charge you $60 for that. Well I got at least three crowns probably more left to do but someone else is going to get that money

Fantastic experience: I usually feel anxious about going to the dentist, but the team at Morrison Dental Group completely changed that for me. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the dream team of Dr. Bitter, Sydney, Lauren, and Christine, every part of my visit was exceptional. They each demonstrate professionalism, genuine care, and an amazing bedside manner. I’m truly grateful to have them as my new dental care providers.

Fantastic experience: They got me in and out very quickly, the dentist was great and everyone was friendly. JQ was maybe the nicest dental assistant I've ever met. Super great experience.

Negative experience: (Hampton Location) Very poor Service, with disrectful front desk staff towards Veterans! All veterans should avoid Morrison Dental Group! You will thank yourself later! Read all the poor reviews and notice the patern of complaints! Their veteran representative Mrs Shannon is a liar, and very unprofessional, she always has excuses as to why you haven't been approved by the VA for treatment, never calls back, will make promises she cant keep, and will have the audacity to ask you to refer their business to other veterans. The front desk girls all have attitudes, and the regional manager, and owner encourages this unprofessional behavior! UPDATE: 11/25/25 Even after making this serious complaint, read how casual and relaxed the owner is about my complaint! He literally could care less, and that's the care you will always receive at Morrison Dental Group!

Negative experience: Don’t waste your time at the Dentist, especially for Military on Tricare/United concordia. First and foremost, definitely being overcharged. Second, they tried telling me I’m gonna pay $300 for my second cleaning because I maxed out on my allowance. I called Tricare. They said that the cleaning is not under the allowance which is what I thought so clearly they were double billing or doing some sketchy business Then I texted them three times and also called them over five times and they have not returned my calls. I’m so over the unprofessionalism I’m due for a cleaning And I told them I need to know if I can schedule it or I’m switching Dentist and they just will not call me back so files and I suggest no one bothered with this place, especially for Military. They’re a big waste of time.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient with Morrison Dental Group since 2020, and when I first started, the staff was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Unfortunately, ever since the move to the new location and the change in personnel, everything has gone downhill. Every time my family and I visit the Hampton office, they repeatedly bill my medical insurance instead of my dental insurance, even after I specifically tell them not to. I’ve had my insurance representative call and explain this directly to their manager, yet the issue continues. Either the staff doesn’t understand, or they simply don’t care to fix the problem. What’s even more frustrating is that when I switched to the Morrison Dental Group in Williamsburg, I was told that medical insurance should only be billed if a patient doesn’t have dental insurance. The Williamsburg staff immediately handled everything correctly without any issues. It’s disappointing to see how far the Hampton location has fallen. The staff needs serious retraining or a complete overhaul to bring back the professionalism and quality this office once had. I will not be returning to the Hampton location again.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Definitely found my new dental home. I will be back. I felt very relaxed and they talked me through all of my fears and anxiety.

Negative experience: This is by far the worst dental office in Hampton. They lied about insurance, charged us $1200 just for a cleaning, and added unnecessary 'new patient' services we didn't need or want or ask for. Completely dishonest and not recommended.

Fantastic experience: Went this morning for my first visit and when I walked in I was in awe!! Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful front desk staff! I saw Dr. Bittner and he was so nice. I am terrified of the dentist and I was so comfortable there! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My experience at Morrison Dental Group in Portsmouth has been PHENOMENAL!!! I was scared but determined to take better care of my oral health. Tessa their Office Coordinator has been superlative in every aspect of my journey. She has shown amazing grace and patience. She has been extremely knowledgeable about ever aspect and procedures. She makes sure you understand what's happening and ensures your comfort. Tess and the entire office staff will definitely calm any fears or anxiety. For this review, I really wanted to take the time to highlight one team member who has consistently made my dental cleanings stand out — Daniella, the dental hygienist. I’ve had the pleasure of having her clean my teeth twice now, and both times, she was incredibly gentle, thorough, and always made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The entire staff at Morrison Dental is always welcoming and accommodating, making each visit stress-free. Fantastic experience: My experience with Ms Shannon the VA coordinator for Morrison dental has been nothing other than reassuring. Her demeanor and patience with a frustrated veteran was able to bring me calmness. This was very welcoming and very much appreciated.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE DENTIST OFFICE, don’t go to this location… after only going there for 8 to 9 months and seeing three different dentist (all now gone) they not only cracked my teeth and re-did crowns and cavities over and over, but then refuse to fix it after agreeing to it!Then as I try to go to another dentist, purposely did not send my notes (probably changing them, crooked people) and made it hard for the new dentist to see me. Not to mention a few other fraudulent things that they have done, you best steer clear of this place. They don’t value their customers, don’t keep their word and do bad work and then try to not be held liable. Go elsewhere and save yourself time and pain, trust me.

Negative experience: I had my first appointment scheduled and the dentist became unavailable and asked to reschedule. I totally understand, things come up- but the first available appointment after that is now two months later! It's frustrating that I was asked to reschedule an appointment due to their scheduling and now I have to wait two more months for a day I now have to take time off work for because of their request. When I asked the person on the phone if anything else was sooner she seemed irritated I would even ask.

Fantastic experience: The front desk staff were funny, inviting and made me feel welcomed. The hygienist and Dentist were very accommodating and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Shannon and Ms. Krissy are everything you need to keep this practice afloat; yes, them. They are professional, funny, calming, efficient, effective, and informative! If you lose them, you lost big. Do what it takes to keep them happy. Happy employees are productive employees and the backbone to an organization.

Negative experience: Scheduled over 2 months in advance and they didnt check insurance coverage until the day before and now i have to pay out of pocket... Cant afford it so had to cancel to again hunt for a dentist who can take my Tricare insurance... fun!!! I have anxiety with dentists so it already took a lot of courage and preparation to even schedule this appointment, just to have to cancel and be frustrated and on the hunt again. Really disappointed and upset with how this was handled especially given the fact i scheduled months in advance. Also, an edit right after posting my review - i called another dental practice nearby who checked immediately upon calling for insurance coverage and showed me its really not a big deal and pulled me up in the system. Now I have to wait another 3 months to be put on their schedule. So a big waste of my time because a lack of minimal effort on the part of office for the client. Very sad and frustrating because everywhere i go for medical they are so easy to say you can just pay out of pocket. Clients aren't walking wallets a lot of us rely on insurance. Maybe keep that in mind for future customers on insurance.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and service from the moment I walked through the door. It was my children and I first visit and I was worried for them. The staff greeted my scared children with stuffed animals and reassurance it was going to be okay. The kids did great on account of such a great staff. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My girlfriend goes to their Williamsburg location and suggested I come here since my old dentist office was fairly unprofessional and not the cleanest location. This is the only dentist I've ever been to that properly numbed me up. I've gotten 4 of my front teeth fixed with fillings, by Dr. Hong, and I'm extremely happy with how my teeth/smile looks, now. The contrast between my previous dentist office and this one is astronomical; Morrison Dental has a very neat and clean looking building/environment and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend choosing Morrison Dental as your dentist, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I love going to Morrison Dental because everytime i go there they always make me feel comfortable while being seen. The VA rep Shannon is always pleasant and she always goes out of her way to make sure that the VA gets all of the approvals on time. I wouldn't go anywhere else for care, they are the best.

Negative experience: Morrison Dental group changed my life in 2017 when they fixed my smile.... at no cost through their dental program that serves veterans without insurance. I tried to return for a new upper denture and experienced being put off and my treatment delayed waiting on someone to send or look for my treatment plan. Shannon( veteran coordinator) first very nice, decoded that I wasn't grateful enough after I complained to her about being hung up on by a ride receptionist. When I didn't seem apologetic enough she began ignoring my calls and not seeing my updated plans. I've been reassigned to 3 dentists and only had 1 thing completed.... it's been 7 months ago I needed was an upoer denture and partial. They do not want my business I suppose.

Fantastic experience: I am not from the Hampton VA area. I was here visiting a friend. I had a temporary crown crack and come off. I found the Morrison Dental Group using an internet search. They took me in on the same day. Dr Hong DDS was able to repair my temporary crown and glue it back in place. It was a miracle for me. If you need a dentist in the Hampton VA area, I highly recommend Dr Hong DDS and the Morrison Dental Group.

Negative experience: Didn’t not have a good experience here. I Show up to my appointments promptly, but was turned away because they had the phone number wrong even though I was still getting Emails the DAY of confirming my appointment. I drove 30 minutes just to find out that they canceled it. Do better Morrison dental group.

Fantastic experience: New to the area and needed a new dentist. I had two visits within a month and both visits were wonderful. Everyone is very kind and made me feel very comfortable start to finish. I absolutely loved Dr. Hong, you can tell he cares about his patients and takes the time to explain any concerns and the steps needed to take to fix them. I'm so glad to have found this office!

Negative experience: They called me less than 1 hour prior to my appointment, to inform me the dentist would be unavailable for my appointment. Highly unprofessional and I won't bother with that practice.

Negative experience: So, I just tried to schedule a much needed appt as a new patient. I had a crown come off a couple of months ago and have been in need of a new dentist in this area. I told her I was having issues with this now, but the earliest I could get in was the 25th. Then, she requested my SSN, and I told her no. It is not legally required for medical practices to ask for that. Many medical facilities ask for it, but we do not have to give it. I offered the last 4 #'s, but she said she had to have the entire number to make an appt for me and could not go any further. She did not offer why they needed it, and she did not offer how they maintain security to prevent fraud. Medical facilities are one of the biggest places fraud occurs. It is a shame that they will turn away new customers because a client does not want and legally does NOT have to provide this information!!!!

Fantastic experience: Last year my location for Morrison Dental shut down and I was devastated. Since it was almost time for my next appointment time I reached out to Hampton thinking they were my closest option. I spoke with Shannon who is a receptionist there. She was absolutely fantastic. She helped me get set up at Norfolk, which is a closer location for me, and made time to tell me about the area. I was thoroughly impressed by how wonderfully, genuine she was. She truly made the switching office experiences easier and also quieted alot of my fears about the change.

Negative experience: Will NEVER return to this office! You take off work to make your appointment then they miraculously can’t find your appointment (even though you have proof and documentation) and then be rude about it. NEVER AGAIN!

Negative experience: Switched dentists because this place gave me a service my insurance would not cover and kept trying to push me to pay for it even though my insurance disputed the charge. Got some X-rays done and had so much going on in my mouth that I wasn’t told about during any procedure with this place that the new dentist asked in asked who my dentist had been in disgust. The filling I paid for with them this year was gone without a trace in the new xrays. Just a waist of money

Negative experience: Made an appointment for an extraction and spoke to someone multiple times. At the time of the scheduling asked for laughing gas and was given the price per 30 minutes and confirmed I would like it. Received multiple texts and calls the week of appointment to confirm appointment each time the person I spoke to didn't have notes someone else had already reached out. Get to appointment to check in and was told the lady who does laughing gas doesn't work Friday's. How was this appointment even scheduled then. Wasted day off of work as well as the time of the person giving me a ride. Really disappointed in the lack of organization and communication.

Negative experience: By far the worst dental experience I have had to date!! While the staff is nice, there is a lack of organization and training. Cant remember her name, but there is one female that got pulled continuously while working on me. One of the techs did not clean cement from between my teeth before it dried so the dentist had a hard time flossing between my teeth. He even said while I was there that he never wanted that specific tech working with him again. And forget about the billing department. We were seen in Sep/Nov 23 timeframe and I am still working on the claim. Needless to say we found another dentist right away. Do not waste your time here. Find a more reputable office.

Negative experience: My brother go to see Morrison Dental and they told him the treatment that he needed to do and he don’t understand much English so he asked me to call them for him and I spoke to Charnda she said she can’t give me his Information because I’m not in the patient which is ok I understand and today I got my brother with me and he called the office again give them the permission to speak to me and they still said No they still can’t give me his Information he needs to come to the office and sign some paperwork in order for them to speak to me .That’s so sad that they make it so hard and inconvenient for people that don’t speak English like my brother .

Fantastic experience: This was easily one of the best experiences I have ever had with a dental group. Dr. Levi and Antonio were awesome and the front desk ladies were super friendly and helpful with getting checked in. I came from a crown and from the time I sat down to getting my temp crown while the perm is being made. I was able to get numb without feeling either of the two shots to get me numb ans the prep was super relaxing and I was not drown in water the whole time like I have been before. We took breaks to empty easy 10/10

Fantastic experience: 10/5 service. My son is nonverbal/autistic, he doesn’t handle being around people who are going to touch him. Unfortunately he broke a tooth, thankfully a baby tooth. For the average person that’s a painless quick procedure. They helped him and let him hold his Mario stuffie during it. The dentist really took his time to make sure he was comfy. The front desk apparently had a mushroom from Super Mario Bros at their desk, they gave it to him. To this day he carries it around and shows everyone. The service was amazing, people were amazing and now we go there for cleanings

Fantastic experience: So far, our experience our Shannon and the group has been fantastic. They know the ins and outs of military coverage. We are on short time line to go overseas, and they are bending over backwards to get us in and taken care to meet our time lines. We will post more when the work is done, but out of 5 pages of phone calls on the tricare dental page, they are BY FAR the friendliest and most helpful.

Negative experience: I'm not happy with my experience. I've been multiple times to have a crown put on. They keep messing up the mold and I've been without 2 teeth for months. I've tried asking to talk to a manager and never received a call back. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a wonderful experience at the dentist's office with Daniella, Antonio, and Dr. Miller. Daniella did an amazing job with my dental cleaning, leaving my teeth feeling fresh and squeaky clean. Antonio was very thorough and gentle during the dental filling preparation, making sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Dr. Miller did an excellent job with my fillings, ensuring that they looked and felt natural. Overall, the entire team was professional, friendly, and provided top-notch care. I highly recommend them for all your dental needs!

Fantastic experience: First time visiting and it was very warm and welcoming. Greeted with a smile. Came in for x-rays and cleaning. I always have a problem with taking x-rays because I get really nervous, but my person was nice and professional. Overall I would recommend giving them a try if you are looking for a new dentist. Fantastic experience: got me in for an emergency appointment within 24 hours of my call. ended up pulling the tooth that was bothering me that day. needed to come out. dentist did not mess around with the numbing medicine!!!! it has been 12 hours since my appointment and i still can't feel my face. thank you so much!

She answered all my questions, even the ones about the two dentists on staff. I’m very nervous these days about my trips to the dentist after having one who was very heavy handed. Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend them if you need anything more involved than basic cleanings. It's impossible to get an appointment less than 3 weeks away. My husbands crown fell off on New Years and we've been getting the run around for 2 months now. And the temporary glue they use to seal his old crown back on wears off in less than a day so they have no concern about protecting his tooth. If the crown wasn't still covered under warranty I'd go somewhere else because this has been ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I am a person who is TERRIFIED of the dentist. I had a pretty bad tooth problem & came in. I had Tina who was absolutely amazing & made my visit so comfortable. I walked in shaking & left with a smile. She even went out of her way to help me call and schedule an appointment for a procedure. You can tell she genuinely cares & that this is her passion. Will definitely be coming back, and this time a lot less nervous!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Morrison Dental for the better part of a decade and there’s a reason I have stayed with them for all of these years. Everyone is friendly and professional, and their new location is really nice too. Dr. Miller has also been a great addition to their practice and is incredibly patient—I hope he continues settling into the region and stays with them for a while. Overall, the staff at Morrison almost make you wish you had a reason to visit more often! 10/10, would recommend.

I love the diversity of staffing within the office, the professionalism, and the dedication of the team. Each time I go it’s quick and efficient. The service is definitely worth what I’m paying and I can tell they take care of their employees because they are always joyful doing their jobs all the way from front desk, to the dental Assistants and the doctors.

Fantastic experience: I came in as a veteran for the Smiles for Heroes event at Morrison Dental Group. The entire experience was beautiful. Due to having no dental insurance, I’d not been to the dentist for several years and while thankful that MDG hosted this event, I was extremely anxious about the entire experience. My anxiety was 100% unnecessary. Every single person I encountered from the greeters to the acting receptionist (Shannon) to the dental hygienist asst to the dental hygienist (Logan) to the dental assistant (Angie) to the dentist (Dr. Syed) were absolutely wonderful, competent and caring to me. They all treated me with such dignity and I am so appreciative of the entire experience. Thank you for your kindness and support.

Negative experience: Scheduled a 10:30 appointment. Called the day before to cancel it at 10:39…. Charging me for a canceled appointment … 9 minutes?? Seriously?? because it wasn’t 24 hour notice. Congrats, you just lost four patients.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. THEY WILL CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT then can't get you back in. They have Terrible customer service. How this place is in business is beyond me. I had this appointment scheduled since December. I took off work to find out I dont have an appointment. The receptionist said I signed a financial disclosure stating my appointment would be canceled if I didnt confirm. Come to find out. I never signed that said disclosure. So they was trying to pin it on me but actually its their wrong. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PLACE

Dr.Gurevra & his Asst . Brandi Work well together, and it made me feel very comfortable and cared about when they were working on my treatment plan together the front Desk I don’t know their names But for me, it starts there and they were awesome and friendly .The vibe was great & comforting.

Fantastic experience: I cannot give Shannon, one of the front desk ladies, enough praise. I’m a new navy wife and was having trouble understanding my new insurance policy. She was so patient and understanding, reassuring me that if she could not find the answer right then and there that I could call again later in the week. I called again and she walked me through the issue explaining where the mistake happened. One of the most comforting people I have every talked to. Happy with this office so far! :)

Fantastic experience: Morrison Dental Group is truly the best dental practice in our area. I have a high degree of dental anxiety, but the caring staff has always never failed me in helping me feel at ease. They are professional, honest in all their dental practices regarding billing, which is something many patients may not fully understand. I have an out of network insurance that is not always honest, BUT morrison helps me understand this, which allows me to advocate for correctness with the insurance company, which is Aetna, and well, Aetna does not practice ethical billing at all, BUT I stay with Morrison Dental Practice because they have always treated me with patience and kindness that help ease my anxiety in the dental chair. In all areas from the front desk staff, to the dental assistants, dental hygienists and dentists that practice, they all truly care about dental health for all people and giving back to the community. There is a family atmosphere that you will see among those working. I have received care in a few of there locations and they are always, kind, patient with my dental anxiety, professional and they go far beyond just providing dental service at that time. Shannon at the Hampton office gives me encouraging words for dental anxiety, Catie is funny and is always kind, Dr, Pole is thorough and gives great attention to detail. ALL the dental assistant's are friendly and caring. The dental hygienist Lauren M. was so patient with me, gentle and kind. Dr. Garcia and her assistant at the East Beach location were so patient with me, they made me laugh and Dr.Garcia is gentle, thorough and one of the best dentists I have ever seen that uses trauma informed care skills, when doing her work. The front desk staff at East Beach are always so friendly. Even when I have called other practices, they are friendly, kind and very professional. Morrison Dental Group keeps me coming back even though my insurance is out of network, because of the level of not only care they provide, but also the family atmosphere within all their practices. Morrison Dental Group, also does community outreach and volunteers time and much needed dental material to events like "Give Kids a Smile". They truly care about providing dental care to everyone no matter the socio-economic demographics of the people within their surrounding communities or within their own patients. This is how you know that a dental practice truly cares. They actively within ALL of their practices on ALL levels show an immense amount of morals, ethics and a level of kindness within their services that you will never find at other dental practices. This is why they by far are the best within our communities. They go far beyond just their dental practices to continue an exceptional level of community service, patient care as well as education. They have so much to offer. They even have a Dental Assistant Education Program. Thank you ALL so much to each and every person that shows this level of care and service. It has meant and continues to mean so much to me and it has allowed me to receive dental care and has helped me face my fears of dental anxiety as well as personal growth. Thank you ALL so very much! Fantastic experience: OH MY GOSH WHERE TO START WITH THIS PLACE!!!!! I won’t start with I originally had another dentist in this same building (different name), on this day I was in so much pain I decided to come in to see about some previous paper work to see about the cost to stop my pain. When I pulled up the sign was different the place looked so different in the inside (honestly I was scared about being able to get help on that day). But Katie (KATIE IS AWESOME!!) she was able to get me seen as a Walk In. My doctor (Dr.Aldo)(AWESOME!! And Ms. Brandy AWESOME!!!)so SWEET and informative. I came back a week later for the actual procedure, I was SO SCARED (everyone in the office knew it too). But the actual procedure was absolutely NO PAIN. Dr. Aldo was so sweet he kept checking on me. Him and Ms. Bandy answered aLL my questions (and I had a LOT). Needless to say when I left out this office I told my mom, my daughter anyone that talks about a dentist visit around me “Go to MORRIS DETAL on Big Bethal Rd in Hampton VA”!!! I promise you won’t regret it. They went Beyond for me and I’m sure they will do the same for you!!!!

Fantastic experience: Even before the pandemic, it was quite the challenge to find a health care practice that was not all just about dollars and cents. The pandemic has worsened this, with some of them going out of business. Worse yet is the plight of health care workers; overworked, underpaid and who represent the face of the business when equally stressed out patients / clients walk in. Frustrating on both sides. I have found Morrison Dental to be very different. That is why as a patient I left my dentist of over 20 years and crossed over to Morrison. The latter has now devolved into a concern whose bottom line is nothing but the money, like most health practices these days. The care is gone. At Morrisson I am looked after with care and with dignity. Options are explained, and after respectful and well-informed dialogue, I am assisted in making decisions on planning and meeting my ongoing dental healthcare needs. The staff is not pushy at all. They are knowledgeable, resourceful, always willing to help and are compassionate. I feel my teeth now have a home, so to speak. Plus, their new office in Hampton has a very relaxing and pleasant ambience. Beautiful too !
