Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best experience at any Dentist visit. Both Dr. Kevin Phung and hygienist/assistant, Anna were top notch! Professional, knowledgeable, down to earth, positive etc. My procedure could have potentially involved some pain but with their expertise, it was painless. Such expertise that I had to be informed of the completion. Both Kevin and Anna were in such a positive mood that I felt as if I hung out with some friends during a visit. The communication and careful execution of the task was amazing and refreshing. My new Dentistry Office! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I came to Tkatch Dentistry for the first time in December 2024. I hadn’t been to the dentist in about 10-12 years, had a tooth bothering me that I wanted extracted and also knew I needed some more work done. Dr. Tkatch was direct with me, that I’m still very young and he felt if I got on top of getting my cavities filled, I’d be in good shape as long as I continue to stay on top of my dental care. He stated “you don’t have a cleaning problem but a flossing problem.” Some may find that rude, but he was right, I never really understood the benefit of flossing and most of my cavities were in areas where if I’d flossed, I may not have the same issues. Now I am an avid, everyday flosser. Your dental health can affect so many other parts of your body including your brain. He got me set up with a treatment plan in which I’ve fulfilled almost all of, nearly a year later and my mouth is feeling much better. During recent cleanings I was complimented on my current home care by the dental hygienist and was pleased to hear “you don’t have a lot going on in there” as I still have a few cavities to fill. Both Dr. Tkatch and Dr. Kevin have treated me and all of the dental hygienists who have assisted have been great! Dr. Tkatch is direct and will tell you like it is and Dr. Kevin is funny and has a bubbly personality. Both great dentists and I appreciate all the work they’ve done to help me and educate me so I can keep all of my teeth for years to come! Edit to add: the office staff have always been kind to me and gone over any potential out of pocket payments that may occur, and have been great when trying to find me a Friday to schedule as it works best with my schedule. Also, I have been put on a waitlist a couple of times for a potential opening at an earlier time and each time they were able to call and offer a time which was great when I needed to get in earlier!

Fantastic experience: Dr Tkatch and Sabina helped me with extensive dental work and did a superb job on fixing my smile. Both of them explained the entire process in detail and helped made me feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. Their attention to detail is flawless and feel like they spent the same time and effort helping me as if they were doing the same procedure for themselves. The ENTIRE Tkatch staff are really amazing and everyone makes you feel so welcome in their office. I have only had cleanings and exams, so I can't say much about getting a filling or other procedures done, but my husband has and he always has a positive experience. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was VERY fortunate to get a last minute appointment with Dr Kevin for a long-past-due yearly checkup/ cleaning. Dr Kevin and his assistant, Anna, were INCREDIBLE!! Anna was so patient and professional, helping me get thru the X-ray process ( I'm a pathological "gagger" ) ! Dr Kevin literally LIT UP the room when he walked in (RIGHT on schedule). His enthusiasm and positive energy was infectious, immediately putting me at ease, in what CAN be a stressful situation. His kindness, knowledge, and expertise were genuine and appreciated ! Krista offered one of the MOST thorough cleanings I think I've EVER had. If my mouth were a crime scene there wouldn't be a speck of DNA ( or food residue!) left !!! Painless and meticulous ! Fantastic experience: Look, I got a mouthful of issues. In the past, I have been made to feel bad about said issues, not at Tkatch. EVERYONE understands they have a job and are there because of you. Friendly, engaging and concerned about your dental well-being, they are willing to listen and work with you while outlining a plan to repair dental maladies. A couple weeks later I started with getting 3 teeth extracted. I was very happy that Sabrina was there. It was nice to have a familiar person by my side. Fantastic experience: Always a 5 ⭐ from the Sparkes-Allen family! Apparently, if you've already left a review, you can't add a new one, so I wanted to add to this one. It's easy to give five stars when all you experience are cleanings and the occasional filling here and there, but when the big stuff happens, that's when you know the real deal. Dr. Tkatch and his team had been suggesting veneers to me for years so I wouldn't have to keep spending money on filling some pinhole cavities in my front four teeth. Also to help with some discoloration as well. I have severe dental anxiety after my family's struggles with their teeth, so it took me about 6 or 7 years to finally agree to veneers. Sabina was my veneer angel, and walked me through every bit of the process from start to finish so I knew what to expect at all times. She knew all of my fears, and would make sure I was okay and comfortable at every moment of every process. She and Dr. Tkatch work so seamlessly together; it's like they share a brain during the process. Also, they were absolute perfectionists and meticulously navigated the entire process. After the temporary veneers were placed, Sabrina even called me, and spent a good while on the phone making sure I was okay, giving me advice, and asking me if I wanted any changes made. The permanent veneers are amazing. They look exactly like my natural smile, only perfect. I was so afraid I would smile and see someone else's teeth, but they literally look like my teeth without any imperfections. I could write a novel on how flawlessly this entire process went; on how cared for I felt during this process. I don't even know how to put into words how thankful I am for Dr. Tkatch, Sabina, and the entire office staff who was so excited I finally worked up the courage to do this for myself. I have been recommending Dr. Tkatch ever since 2016 when I was recommended to him by a co-worker, and I will continue to do so. From the moment you walk in the door where the office staff is lovely and amazing, to the dental hygienists who chat with you and are so invested in how you've been since the last time they saw you, and the doctors and their assists who can change your life and confidence in one appointment. I'm so thankful for this team ♥️ THANK YOU!!!

Positive experience: I love this office and love the new dentist Phung !! All the ladies in the back are phenomenal. My concerns: I’ve had multiple frustrating experiences with the billing department at this office. During my recent visit, I was told I would be charged $133 for my past balance and $150 for the day’s service. However, I was charged significantly more with no clear explanation. Additionally, I was informed that my filling would be covered, yet I was billed for it. This is the second time I’ve received misinformation at checkout, and the staff member handling billing was unprofessional and dismissive when I asked for clarification. Transparency and honesty are essential when it comes to medical expenses, and unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience here. I hope the office improves its communication and ensures patients are accurately informed about their costs moving forward.

Negative experience: I had to get 3 cavity fillings, i asked for one on my bottom left side due to having constant pain when i eat on that side, Dr. Tkatch proceeds to do a completely different tooth on that bottom left side when i know he could see what tooth exactly im talking about with his magnified glasses on. Even without glasses you can clearly see that tooth needed assistance as an hole is clearly forming and he was negligent of my needs. These people just want business, they do not care about the wellbeing of their patients. Any money they can get they will take. Since Dr. Tkatch took over that building and it’s no longer under Craig E. Boykin, their records of mine are inaccurate and inconsistent with my needs. Now i need to get a root canal all paying out of pocket due to their negligence and i been going to this same office for over 6 years. Mind you i am 21 and know practically nothing about teeth and i feel they used that to their advantage to make more money. Therefore taking my business elsewhere because i go to all my regularly scheduled cleanings and they were negligent of my needs, all this tooth pain and thousands of dollars on a root canal could have easily been avoided.

Fantastic experience: Dr Tkatch is probably the finest dentist in the Triad. His work is the best, his staff is well trained, just a great experience. Today, he did a crown on a broken tooth, I was asleep some of the time as it was painless. So grateful to have dr. Tkatch as my dentist.

All the clinical staff members are friendly and professional with a skill level of 10/10. Fantastic experience: I had to get two crowns because I cracked my teeth on a popcorn kernel. I was sooooo scared. The staff was unbelievably comforting! From the front desk greeting to the end everyone was fabulous. Wendy is lovely. My appointments were a week apart. Each appointment is a few hours long. Dr. Skender was so attentive to my fears. He did everything he could to make this experience comfortable. I like how down to earth they are. So much joking and laughter. It made me feel so at ease. I love this practice!!!!

Negative experience: I never write reviews but it is so hard to find a good dentist and this is not the place. I needed a bond replaced on my front tooth, and they only replaced the back even though I had explicitly asked multiple times for my entire bond to be replaced as it is discolored from wear and tear over the years - they made me feel like I was crazy after the procedure had been done.

Negative experience: I do not recommend. I did not receive a thorough evaluation prior to procedure. During the procedure I believe the doctor may have noticed things he did not share directly with me prior to proceeding with a crown he would otherwise not recommend. After the procedure it was clear his overall examination of my situation was cursory as I pointed out what may have looked like infected gums on the screen (which he offered no treatment for during the procedure)he dismissed the possibility outright and then told me to schedule further examination in the next breath because he wasn’t sure. He then recommended further procedures that’s someone in my condition would not qualify for further indicating he had not properly evaluated my teeth prior to crown installation. This is a cash mill beware!!!!

Fantastic experience: I Just retired & had neglected to visit a dentist for several years. Dr Tkatch came highly recommended so I made an appointment last year and he has been GREAT! He devised a treatment plan for me & we’re over half way through…. 5 fillings, 2 root canals & a deep cleaning with NO PAIN! Fantastic experience: If you need extensive work done or just routine this is a great Denistry office to trust. Moving around over the years I have had several offices. Dr. Tkatch, Sabina and all of the staff are caring and do great work.

Negative experience: I was told my x-rays were covered by my Humana Medicare Advantage plan. That was a lie. Dr. Boykin gave us a discount for not having dental insurance. His total bill for each of us was $137. We are very disappointed with you. I will not pay for the X-rays, and if you won"t give us a discount, we will surely find a better dentist. Also, I saw other patients comments regarding overpriced services. You told them one price and charged a much higher price.

Fantastic experience: I recently started seeing Dr. Tkatch after my prior dentist retired. He has been very professional so far as he guides me through my pretty extensive treatment plan. Sabina was amazing at making me feel comfortable while getting impressions made (which I hate doing). As far as dentist go, I don't want any part of it, but if I have to, this is the place for me.

Fantastic experience: Nicest humans you’ll ever encounter. Let’s be honest, going to the dentist is not pleasant, even when you have good hygiene health. The dentist, the admin staff, the hygienists speak to you like you’re a human, they interact with you as though they have known you intimately for an extended period of time. They over-inform but also allow you to ask all the questions. While I hope no one reading this has to get a deep oral clean, if you do, I hope you get Tatiana (sp?). I hugged her before I left…..

Fantastic experience: New dentistry for me and Dr. Tkatch and Sabina were AMAZING!!!! Sabina was so informative and helpful I purchased an electronic toothbrush from them and let me tell you best decision I have made and will be returning for Invisalign I am so excited The entire staff is so friendly and professional and this office is very prompt most of my visits are done on my lunch breaks no waiting long wait times before you are seen. Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit to Tkatch Dentistry. It was a very positive experience. The hygenist and dentist were very thorough, professional and gentle. Very impressed.

Negative experience: Went for a procedure, gave them my insurance info and was given a treatment plan, I agreed to treatment plan and set up appointments, after the second appointment they decide to inform me that i am out of network and will have to cover significantly more cost (approx $600) than what we agreed, i called to office manager and all she offered was a 10% discount for THEIR mistake but that she would call me back....... 2 months later the callback i finally got was to remind me i have an appointment the following day so i ask to speak to office manager again since she failed to call me back months prior. after further discussion i could not get her to understand that what they did was misleading and that the fair thing to do would be to honor the quote on the treatment plan, it seemed all she heard was that i wanted free care but i told her multiple times i was willing to pay what i agreed to paying in treatment plan. after it was clear she was not understanding my frustration i stopped trying to make her understand and all she offered was 30% take it or leave it, i took it but i will not be coming back, for patients looking to join my advice is the dental care is good just be careful of office staff and make sure you get your insurance info correct as they are only in network with one provider and seem to forget to let patients know upfront.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cowan has a phenomenal beside manner! She immediately makes her patients feel relaxed with a soft comforting voice and a welcoming introduction. Dr. Cowan offers her patients step by step explanations of each dental procedure in a reassuring manner with terminology that all can understand. I look forward to seeing Dr. Cowan regularly and hope that other patients will have the opportunity to experience the “joy of dentistry” with Dr. Adrienne Cowan in High Point, NC!
