Fantastic experience: This is the best dental care in my opinion in High Point. I have.always hated going to the dentist, but new it was necessary if I wanted to maintain my teeth. Fantastic experience: We absolutely love this office.. which is why I’ll never forget the day I got a letter terminating us over missed appointments. I really did try, but working night shift made it hard to make my slots. I even commented under one of their funny Facebook videos asking them to take me back like it was a bad breakup. They actually replied and told me to call the office to rekindle our relationship… and they welcomed me back with open arms. We’ve been together ever since. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: First time I went there. I asked them if they take my insurance. They said yes. Had some work done and a new crown. As several months later I get a bill from them which I wasn't responsible for. They charged me for cleaning, etc. I am still paying what the ins. pays only 50% off and I pay 50% for the crown. I found out this dentist was NOT in my network. They mislead me telling me it was. I hate being lied to. I refused to pay bill because they lied to me. I will never go back there again. Check and make sure they are in your insurance network. Never again.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a cosmetic consult a few days ago and honestly the experience was better than I expected. The front desk was super polite and helped me sort out a couple forms I messed up. The dentist explained everything in a way that made sense, not all that complicated medical talk. I ended up getting some whitening done and the results look pretty nice so far, not crazy dramatic but definitely noticeable. The office was clean and the whole visit felt pretty calm. Overall, I’d say it’s a good place if you’re looking to improve your smile without feeling pressured or rushed.

Fantastic experience: When it comes to go to the dentist, there is the pain, the feeling of being lost without guidance & clear honest informations regarding what’s going on and the cost. I must say that I am very pleased with the freindliness of the whole staff (they found a spot for me to be taken care of the same day I called !!), the place itself (very clean), and the info+ care I received there. If I can get the cost to be « right » for me (this is America after all!) I would love to keep working with this staff for my dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Update: I still absolutely love High Point Smile Dentistry! Dr. Ben replaced a crown that had some separation at the gum line and this new one looks incredible! He took the time to get the shape right and the color to match. Cannot recommend them enough! I LOVE High Point Smile Dentistry. They do excellent work! The staff are extremely nice! They don’t force services on you that you don’t need. I have been coming here for 20+ years!

Negative experience: I really don't think I will be coming back to this dentist office again. The check in lady was very nice and their building seemed pretty nice and welcoming. But when I was called in for my visit, the dentist assistant was not really nice and did not believe me when I had told her about my insurance offering 2 additional cleanings since I am pregnant. She did not believe me and had the dentist come in to do my cleaning while she spoke with someone to print out my insurance. My cleaning with the dentist was very rushed and I did not feel really welcomed there and felt like I was an inconvenience. She ended up printing my basic plan that doesn't say anything about pregnancy additional benefits. I understand that usually you get 2 cleanings in a calendar year, but my insurance does offer 2 additional cleanings (meaning 4 cleanings total) when you are pregnant. She kept saying she has never heard of that before and I felt like either my insurance lied to me or that they think I was a liar. Instead of me getting angry, I kept apologizing to her and the check out lady, because I was not trying to be a bother, but there was no empathy nor did they try to apologize on the confusion on their end of never hearing about insurance offering additional cleanings while someone is pregnant. It felt like they were very stuck up and wanted to be right. I also brought up on my phone to the check out lady where it does show I get 2 additional cleanings. And she just basically shrugged it off. I was very stressed as the days prior I already had talked with my insurance company to make sure they knew I was pregnant and to get enrolled in for the 2 additional cleanings. I even called the insurance the day prior to make sure I was good to go for my appointment the next morning and they confirmed they had everything in there and I was good to go. After I had left the appointment I did call my insurance once again to let them know what had happened and to make sure I was not misunderstanding anything and they looked over everything and confirmed that I do have 2 additional cleanings (meaning 4 cleanings total) since I am pregnant. The insurance company said all the dentist office has to do is submit the claim and it will go through and be covered. The only thing I did not understand was that my previous dentist is PPO (meaning they cover at 100%) while this dentist office is Premier (meaning they cover at 80%) and so I now know why I had to pay 20%. **Although they are in network with my insurance**. And so they did explain to me there is a difference in in-network premier and in-network PPO dentist offices. In conclusion, (when it came to how they handled me letting them know about the additional cleanings my insurance offers since I am pregnant) I did not feel welcomed nor did I feel believed and I do not feel comfortable coming back unfortunately. Also, upon doing further research into insurances offering additional cleanings for pregnant patients it is indeed a big thing with many insurance companies. And the main reason is because pregnancy increases the risk of gum disease and cavities. I suggest the staff here to be more educated on the matter and be more professional and equipped to answer and assist pregnant patients whether than making them feel extremely uncomfortable and an inconvenient.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with the staff and will not be coming back. The dental assistant name Ashley who works with Dr. Kwon was very snotty with me and made me extremely uncomfortable. She was not nice and had an attitude. I will be looking for another dentist in the area because this place will not be the place I bring my family.

Fantastic experience: As someone whose anxiety skyrockets at the mere sound of a dental drill (and once tried to reschedule a cleaning because Mercury was in retrograde), I can confidently say this is the holy grail of dental offices. From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me less like a nervous wreck and more like royalty with a mild case of “dental dread.” They spoke in calm tones and offered me a blanket - because apparently they actually care if I survive the visit emotionally. My dental assistant Anika was basically a tooth fairy. And the dentist? A magician who somehow made me laugh while explaining the procedure. I felt seen, heard, and most importantly, numb. If you have dental anxiety, trust me: this place will make you believe in oral healthcare and humanity again. Bonus points for not judging me when I asked if novocaine could be administered “for vibes.” Highly recommend. Will floss now out of loyalty.

Massage chairs provide icing on the cake, and I swear I always leave with a little gift in the form of a shirt, bag, or some other prize. They make going to the dentist a very enjoyable experience! *update: I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kwon for at least 8 years (probably longer) and still absolutely love it! It’s so nice to have staff that remember even small personal details about you that you wouldn’t expect them to remember, especially with seeing you only twice a year.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kwon and the team at High Point smile made the process quick and easy when I recently broke a tooth. Was able to request an appointment online and book via the web portal. They saw me the next day and had me fixed up quickly! I have dental anxiety as they made the process as quick and painless as possible. I definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr Brotzman is the best dentist we ever had, she is fast and does all our dental work in one session, without any pain, even the novocaine shot does not hurt at all, and her work is immaculate the first time around, we wish we had known her sooner

Negative experience: Only writing this review to bring attention to the product that was using my face and obviously used improperly. I arrived at the doctors office at 2 o’clock and the afternoon and I arrived early because I know I did not have my original dental card and that they will possibly need to pull up my information and I will have papers to fill out. My appointment was at 2:30 I waited I wasn’t seated into the chair until 2:50ish the dentist came in around 3:04 to explain what needs to be done an to numb my mouth I was originally told I can not get my tooth repaired (filling that fell out) and a cleaning at the same time. I was okay with skipping the cleaning. The dentist did nit return until 3:24. I’m not sure how long the actual procedure took but I called my husband who drove me to the appointment around 4:06 to tell him I’m getting a cleaning done. The woman polished my teeth with a paste and called it clean I was leaving the chair around 430. I was told I had a white substance on my face and was given a wet paper towel to clean it off as I looked in the mirror I noticed my skin peeled off and a white flesh was showing. I told the assistant I’m a panic and she notified the dentist he quickly denied accountability and told me it was something on my face before I sat in the chair. I told him it wasn’t anything on my face other than what was put there by this visit. He told the assistant to take photos with walked out the room. The assistant to a picture and put a clean cream on my face. My overall experience was terrible with the unnecessary waiting and the damage done to My face and lip. Not to mention the lack of accountability and not willing to explain what was left on my face so long that it peeled my skin. I will attach photos of my face before the appointment after I notice the damage and the day after.

As an established patient, I was worked in the same day for a chipped tooth and waited for the repair to be made and was finished all in the same day!!! These two are so professional, considerate, and respectful, I am grateful I am a patient there

Fantastic experience: I received excellent care here from the time of my first phone call. Jennifer answered my call and was friendly and accommodating. She got me an appointment the following day as a new patient. Dr. Johnson and his Assitant(I feel bad that I've let her name slip my mind) were great during my appointment. My lost filling that I wanted to be seen for was taken care of along with another cavity that was found, I had expected to have to come back another day to take care of the lost filling. I'm happy to have found this place. I appreciate the friendliness of all staff I encountered. The massage exam chair was a nice touch! I'd definitely recommend this Office. Just an awesome place and awesome people.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing and 100% satisfied so far. I'm old and have been to many different dentists. This team beats them all by a mile. Actually looking forward to the next appointment to get more repairs done from radiation and other botched dentists.

Fantastic experience: Dr Brotzman and her assistant Laura have been painstakingly working on my teeth for almost a year. They are just amazing. The whole office has been great. I have a high tolerance for Novocain, but Dr Brotzman almost always got it in the perfect spot so I didn’t need extra injections. I can’t recommend this place enough. I have some dental anxiety, and used the nitrous. I just had my cleaning done by Betty, and she was wonderful as well!!

Fantastic experience: I love High Point Smile Dentistry, all of their staff are so kind and professional! Dr. Kwon and his team are outstanding dentists, the hygienists do a great job and their staff are helpful navigating insurance questions! I've been going here for the last seven years and they have taken great care of my teeth! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality dental care!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ben is the BEST most compassionate denist I have ever been too. He is so gentle. That is saying a lot because I am 65 yrs and been going to the dentist for 60 yrs!!! The whole staff is awesome!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this provider for a few years now. Everyone is very friendly to me. The ones I normally see is either Dr. Johnson or Dr. Brotzman and my main hygienist is Courtney. Absolutely love them and really look forward to my appointments with them as they always treated me well. Definitely will not be going anywhere else unless I completely move away to where it becomes inconvenient for me to go here.
