Negative experience: Very disappointed with my experience at Northpoint Dental. Wish I could leave 0 stars. I missed an appointment on February 10 because my mother had a medical emergency. When I recently went in to pick up my SureSmile trays, I was told I owed $65 for the missed appointment and a late fee. I explained the situation and simply asked if they would waive the charges as a one-time courtesy. The answer was no—it was "company policy"—and I was told the balance would be sent to collections if I didn't pay. Today, I found out my scheduled cleaning had been canceled because I refused to pay the fee. I understand that offices have policies, but good customer service also requires compassion and common sense. A genuine family emergency deserved more understanding than I received. Unfortunately, this experience has cost Northpoint Dental a patient, and I cannot recommend them.

Fantastic experience: We had to change insurance this year and leave our dentist that we’ve had for the past seven years. My husband and I were a little apprehensive about it, of course. But the whole team at North Point made us feel right at home. The cleanings by the hygienists were awesome and both dentists were great. Then last week, one of my four-year-old crowns fell off, and I took it in to them. They cleaned it very well and were able to cement it back on at a very reasonable rate. The staff is all so friendly and helpful. We’re so glad we found them!

The dental hygienist, Brooke, is always very sweet and gentle while doing my cleaning. The dentist addresses any concerns she may see with care no matter how big or small. I’d recommend North Point Dental Associates to all my friends and family..

Negative experience: I made my appt for a cleaning. As a new patient I understood I’d also be examined by a dentist. After my exam I was told I needed scaling & root planing, a 3k expense billed to insurance and my portion was “estimated” at $180 which they wanted up front. I explained I wanted just the regular preventative cleaning that insurance allows for 2x a year at no cost. I told them I’d think and research the other procedure for the future. I was denied the basic cleaning. I left feeling as though they were more interested in filing a larger claim w insurance instead of giving me the free preventative care as a starting point. I do not recommend this dental office

Fantastic experience: The hygienist Kayla did a fantastic job. She explained everything thoroughly and even got leftover glue off from my braces that were removed five years ago!

Negative experience: I'm officially done with this dentist office they have done some Shady billing practice trying to back charge things from 2021 and we have been going to them for years and just now hearing about it. I'm not hard to deal with just doing my regular cleanings along with my family. They can't even explain they charges they handed me. Update its been a year since I last post about this dentists office and I haven't returned and won't, but they send a year later charges back from 3 years ago that they couldn't provide when I had the issues from over a year ago. But now they have these charges....to bad I can't give lower stars...and their billing and financial issues are the problem.

Fantastic experience: My deep cleaning yesterday went really well! I always have a lot of anxiety with dental appointments but my hygienist, Kaylin made sure I was comfortable and wasn’t feeling any pain throughout the entire visit. She took great care of me! Thank you Kaylin!!

Fantastic experience: It's been a lot of changes with the owners/Drs and staff. Initially, it was a little bumpy... Hit or miss. Things have smoothed out and I like my new hygienist, Brooke. She's patient, has gentle hands, and actually talks with me. Dr Thakkar answers questions and doesn't make you feel rushed. That's a bonus. The office so far is cool, but it's still a lot of new faces.

Positive experience: Been going to North Point Dental for over 15 years. Still adjusting to new staff. They seem nice enough and competent. Not a fan of having to suffer through country music while getting dental procedures. Liked when the other hygienists let you choose what you want to listen to or silence. The dentist is already not fun the country music thing will make me change dental offices.

Fantastic experience: Had to get several crowns done. They were able to make the crowns the same day so I didn’t have to make a follow up a few weeks later like most dental offices. Staff was very friendly and clean environment. Would definitely recommend. And the crown prices are reasonable compared to other dental office that I checked prices for. Dr Thakkar was very informative and calming. I’m used to a rough experiences when going to the dentist and always have dreaded it but Dr Thakkar was very kind and gentle while working. I was there for a while but it was so convenient to go ahead and get my crown done. They have TVs in the rooms so I was able to watch Netflix and chill. I Highly recommend this place!

Negative experience: The service was nice. The people were nice, but it felt like the same old same old sales pitch price change. When I first went there, I paid the $90 and I just wanted to know how much it was to get the dental work done I wanted. I asked that everything be wrote down. Let me know I have and what my insurance would pay. I spent a lot of time making sure they took the insurance not just would file it. Everyone knows if you don’t know if they say that basically they’re not in your network, but they’ll file it and you probably will get a little bit of help. They said they took my insurance so upon my second visit first thing off the bat they told me there was a balance due. I didn’t understand because it said my second third visit insurance covered. Turns out my insurance only covered 2% they said and as far as the next 2400 it went from that that’s all you’ll have to pay to… They probably will accept our numbers, but we won’t know until we do it. So now I’ve got to start all over and find another dentist. It’s not that I’m worried about the cost. It’s just I’m worried about getting halfway through the procedure and every time you go in the number changes. It’s not fair that they can’t tell us how much it’s gonna be. I mean, do they do this every day or not just think about that it went from your insurance. Will cover it to you. Show up to the next visit and they say your insurance only covered 2% and to them, they just shrug their shoulders like I tell you what it was like. It’s like they have been doing this all day every day to every customer. Not really a good thing for me, especially when I got my daughter‘s wedding going on. I just needed to know what I’m looking at.

Fantastic experience: Staffing was kind, professional, and light hearted. The location clearly services a lot of patients but it does not feel clinical at all! I am loving my experience thus far. As someone who has neglected their dental health for years, I reached out to them with fear and shame. After 2 visits, my fear of going to the dentist (particularly this one ) is gone and my shame has all bit disappeared! 10 out of 10 service!

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at this dentist for years, and my most recent visit was neither the worst nor the best. During my six-month cleaning, the hygienist was getting too close to my gums, causing discomfort. I stopped her and asked her to be careful. She continued cleaning my teeth, but the quality of her work declined, so I requested that she be cautious around the gum area to avoid puncturing it. She proceeded with the cleaning, and then the doctor came in for a checkup. Based on her recommendations, I felt the need for a second opinion because I’ve been a patient there for years and this has never been an issue. The doctor informed me that I had developed gum disease on my back teeth, which was surprising because I had just gotten my Invisalign off a week ago. Thinking everything was fine, I scheduled my six-month appointment. However, I received a letter in the mail yesterday informing me that they could no longer be my dental provider due to not following the doctor’s recommendations and the ongoing issues with the hygienist. This is quite strange to me because I’ve never had any problems until this particular day. I’ve been a patient there for years, and at this point, I’ve been informed that I cannot return as a patient. I don’t have insurance, so all my visits were cash-based. I’m extremely confused about what happened during this dental visit that led to their decision to refuse me as a patient. I wasn’t disrespectful, but I suppose if you don’t follow the doctor’s recommendations and tell the hygienist to be careful, that’s considered a conflict. At this point, I don’t recommend this dental office because if you disagree with their recommendations, you’re considered an unpleasant customer.

Positive experience: Had a cap installed with root canal now not a yr later I’m told there are cracks in the tooth at the base which now requires more work, removal of tooth.The claim is my grinding caused the issue, but if that was possible why not remove the tooth instead of adding a cap? My grinding is a known issue. Now I feel like I over paid for two procedures when one would have done the trick and again, not been a full yr

I have always dreaded going to the dentist since I was a kid , but love going to North Point Dental Associates. From the front desk receptionists to the hygienist and dentist who checked my teeth, are the greatest! I feel totally at ease while there.

Fantastic experience: I recently lost a crown and was presented with a few options. I could get a new crown which could be unstable due to further decay that would also need to be fixed ($$$), I could get an implant ($$$$), or I could opt just to have it pulled ($). I chose to have it pulled. There was no pressure to go with one of the other options. The procedure was mostly painless and the staff was professional and kind. I would recommend their office to anyone that needed dental work.

Fantastic experience: I felt a puffiness in my gum line developing, so I called the office (I’m an established patient) and they worked me in writhin an hour to be seen by the dentist! I had a fracture on an upper back tooth that was infected and had to come out- NOW. They were able to make it happen today. I’m type 1 diabetic and did not want to risk infection progressing. Office staff is very professional and efficient- and sweet! This was not at all how i planned to spend my day off, but I’m so thankful they were able to see me today!

Fantastic experience: I'll be honest, I've only gone for an emergency appointment a few weeks ago, after seeing another dentist and North Point was my second opinion. I'm not someone who likes the dentist, but my husband goes there and he talked me into going further away than I would have preferred. Turned out, that drive was well worth it and the original dentist was wrong. They helped me out that day, as anxious as I was. I also have vestibular migraine, so being tilted back on the chair has always been a trigger for me. They were the first ones who truly listened to my concerns and helped in ways that NO other dentist has ever done. I've been to many over my lifetime, because I just don't like them. I actually chose to return for a cleaning because I trust them. I don't think I've ever truly trusted a dentist before. I wish I remember the dental assistants name, but she and Dr. Thakkar were true angels to me. I was supposed to return tomorrow for a cleaning, but due to an extra long migraine, I had to reschedule. I've never pushed myself so hard to try to make it to the dentist, but then again, no one has made me feel so listened to and so safe. I will be back in a few weeks and I'll be my anxious self, but I know they'll take care of me. I highly recommend anyone, especially if you have anxiety, to visit Dr. Thakkar and crew. I'm sure Dr. Parikh is great too, I just haven't met him.

Fantastic experience: Haven't had my teeth cleaned this well in years! Brianna did a wonderful job. The front office staff are great as well as the dentists. Another great thing about this office is that it is comprehensive in terms of services. Not just dental cleanings and care, but root canals, crowns and implants done in house! Same day permanent crowns!

Fantastic experience: Had soreness in mouth resulting from tori on the inner gums on both sides. The dental assistant was able to remove a bit of the partial so that it was not rubbing against my gum. Was very pleased with her care.

Negative experience: I got so very frustrated!! My husband took our daughter to the dentist, the dentist said that there is nothing wrong with her tooth! Because I see that one of her teeth has a brown stain and the dentist did nothing and did not even remove the stain from her tooth. Please do not take your children to this dentist because they don’t care of this.

Fantastic experience: I have a lot of dental anxiety because of past procedures with other providers. As such, when I recently needed to replace an old filling on a sensitive tooth, I was very hesitant. However, I’m surprised to say that the procedure went really well and with pretty much no pain. It really reduced my anxiety about the possibility that I need to replace more fillings in the future. I would trust North Point Dental to handle those services. Separately, I have had many cleanings here, and they’ve always been sensitive and efficient.

Fantastic experience: Bottom dentures developed a couple of small cracks. What ever they did to repair (covered by insurance), is beyond belief. Dentures repair was in 24 hours and they fit perfectly. In fact they are better now than before. Excellent service with friendly staff.

Negative experience: WARNING - DO NOT BE A PATIENT HERE Without a doubt NO STARS! They have double billed my brother (who shamefully I recommended), my husband & now trying to do it to me. In looking at the reviews we are NOT the only ones with this issue. They have called more than once on the day of the appt and told me we had to reschedule! Today was the last straw as I told them exactly what was going on and this time the excuse was I was no schedule for the correct allotted time. My time is just a important as yours! I moved my schedule around for the appt so you need to do the same since I was on the schedule. Do I get a cancellation fee since its less than 24 hrs?

Fantastic experience: Gratitude for excellent dental care and technique. Dr. Parikh has an exceptionally steady hand with skillful control … only the instruments were gently investigating teeth with precision … very ideal for those with an endocrine condition and tooth/gum sensitivity.
