Negative experience: We had the absolute worst experience. Multiple setbacks. Teeth not ordered correctly. Wait wait and more wait. Once they were received several visits back to them because they did not fit my husband correctly still. To this day still not resolved nor did they seem to care. Money was paid and job was done kinda attitude. We have to go elsewhere to have them either remade or refit. Super depressing. Highly don’t recommend

Fantastic experience: Isabel is Dr Jones’s hygienist who took care of me for my initial New Patient appointment. She walked me through every step of the way as she was taking X-rays, cleaning my teeth, explaining every procedure. Dr Jones came in checked my teeth & X-rays, asked questions, and answered my questions, explaining details and reassuring me all is well. I’m very pleased with my new dentist & hygienist.

Fantastic experience: Isabel did a wonderful job explaining everything on my first visit. Extremely professional and thorough. Very compassionate care. Dr. Stewart White was extremely nice and professional as well. They explained in detail my plan of care. The lady at the front desk went over the plan and costs. The experience felt rushed and lacked communication from the check in staff to the back. I was also not made aware of any discounts (mentioned on their site) as a am now self pay. I went in as a preventative. Unsure if I will continue with this practice.

I have had several different procedures performed there and I can highly recommend Abilene Dental for all your dental needs.

Negative experience: I had a very frustrating experience with this dental office over the course of two visits. At my first appointment, the dentist barely sat down while examining my teeth, which made me feel rushed and uncomfortable, like he didn’t want to get close enough to do a thorough exam. I was told I needed a filling, which they were able to do the same day. Unfortunately, that same evening the filling cracked and part of it fell out. I had to return two days later to have it redone. While it was refilled, the result was uneven and had a strange texture. I didn’t say anything further at the time because I couldn’t afford to keep missing work. Despite this experience, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and scheduled a cleaning six months later, assuming the issues may have been due to staffing shortages that week. When I arrived for that appointment today, after missing work, I was told they no longer accept my insurance. Apparently the office had been bought out by a new company, but no one contacted me in advance — despite having six months to do so. Now I’m trying to have my records transferred to a new dentist and have been getting the runaround.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Leedy and her team are the best.

Positive experience: We were not greeted when we walked in. No hello, give me a minute, nothing. It was almost 45 minutes before we were seen. No updates as to when we would be seen. The only thing saving this review is the dentist. She and her assistant were both amazing. Customer service goes a long way.

Negative experience: I moved to Abilene and searching for dentist here Went to Abilene Dental was examined had records sent from old dentists out of state .Was told would review my x ray and develop plan for me Had teeth cleaned week later Ask about counceltaion Was told would be contacted I have loose implant want treatment for Called a week later phone out of order Was told when repair I'd be contacted I drove across town and spoke to person at counter He apologized and set appointment for November 23 the next Monday I showed up Woman there apologized said person I was to see had called in she would go over information but Dentist wasn't there to ask questions So I now have another appointment to see dentist to discuss plan of action So that my experience with Abilene Dental

Negative experience: 1st appt. due to moving to Abilene. I asked if needed records transferred and never got response. Went to appt. and 1st taken for xrays. Was told I needed to pay for xrays, but I have insurance. I said no and was told I needed to make a different appointment. Bad experience. Will likely just find a new location. Frustrated!

Positive experience: I’m only giving 3 stars because this was my first visit to this clinic and I left there feeling like nothing was accomplished other than a lot of pictures were taken of my teeth. I did not see the dentist my appointment was for but a different one. She was nice and looked at my teeth and said she would relay the info to my assigned dentist. So, I’m in limbo waiting to see if she will take me as a patient and do the work I need done or not. I feel that if she had done the scheduled visit with me then we could address my problems and set up a plan to have everything completed by January when I go to the back surgeon to schedule my next back surgery. Therefore I am frustrated and feel like I’m just a number to the dentist to be passed thru the system and out the door. I will say the young man who took my info and did all the pictures was very understanding with me because of my disabilities and took the time I needed to get good pictures with the least amount of discomfort. He gets five stars.

Fantastic experience: Both my wife and I went to Abilene dental for our new patient check up. The entire staff at Abilene Dental was so nice and polite. We were both seen by Dr. White whom we both felt very comfortable with. Nobody likes going to the dentist but the staff can make all the difference in the world, in making you comfortable. We went through the process of getting x-rays and photos of our teeth. Abilene Dental obviously uses state of the art equipment. I am 66 years old and they asked me what my desires were for treatment. I told them I just wanted to keep the teeth I had, maintain healthy teeth and be comfortable . They did not try push me into anything I did not want to do. Both my wife and I are so happy with Abilene Dental. We will continue with them as long as they continue business.

Negative experience: Two and a half months ago (end of July), I went for my first dental check up in several years. Unsurprisingly, the dentist found two cavities—one in a top left molar and one between two molars on the bottom left. The first cavity treated was the top one. The filling failed and left me in terrible pain that resulted in a root canal. I’ve now had my temporary crown in for weeks, nearly a month actually. I was scheduled to go back in to get my permanent crown only to drive all the way there after taking off work to be told that the office somehow “lost” my permanent crown. They apologized and promised to call me to reschedule. But they never did. I was the one to finally call only to be told that they were very busy and would call me back with an update. They never called me back. I am still in pain in regard to this temporary crown. I am also in pain because of the bottom filling they put in. It hurts on and off every day to the point that I have to take painkillers regularly. When I couldn’t take it anymore, I went in for an emergency appointment only to have a bit more filling added and some of my bite shaved down. I have never had bite issues, and now my teeth bang together when I talk, don’t fit together, and I can’t sleep comfortably. All in all, I am extremely disappointed in the treatment I’ve received. Everyone in the office is kind and professional (especially the woman who cleaned my teeth. She was fabulous.), but it shouldn’t be normal to leave a patient in this kind of pain. I can’t sleep, can’t eat correctly, and can’t drink cold liquids without being in intense pain. Now my dental insurance is maxed out, and I’m still trying to get my dental pain fixed. I’ve taken off so much time off of work that I’m worried about the repercussions. I’d honestly find another dentist if my crown wasn’t still on hold at this dental office. I’d love to speak with the owner if they have questions.

Fantastic experience: I broke a tooth Tuesday night. I called Abilene Dental Wednesday morning and even tho I’m not a regular patient they had me come right in. Dr Bolin and her team was fantastic. I was so impressed I have become a regular patient.

I’ve never had a hygienist that communicated so thoroughly before. I’ve had some great hygienists in the past, but she definitely blew them all out of the water. She’s the best!

Negative experience: My husband, who was there for his fist visit said he felt like the business very disorganized. I was very frustrated at the amount of time I was kept waiting. When I ask one of the girls how much longer I would have to wait, her reply was your cleaning was scheduled for 12:00 and it was only 12:20. My thought was if my appt time was 12:00 then that is when the cleaning should have started. .

Fantastic experience: Had x-rays, teeth cleaned, dentist exam, all good. Hygienist was friendly, thorough and efficient. I also recommend the oral cancer screening, most people probably don't think about that.

For more intensive dental procedures she has a great room with a beautiful fountain to view and a television in the ceiling including headphones. She has amazing, comfortable equipment to take x-rays and check for mouth cancers. Her staff is so accommodating and friendly. Dr Leedy’s positive attitude is carried on throughout her entire office, while her knowledge is very thorough. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have had a boat load of work to do on my mouth Dr Christy and her entire office have been amazing as I’ve gone thru - and continue to go thru - the work needed. They’re courteous, friendly, remember me by name. Scheduling and financial options are flexible and they’re willing to work with people. The biggest deal for me has been the great work done on my mouth and their sensitivity to my literal horror of dental work. Sedation dentistry is truly a miracle! I shopped hard for a dentist to do all my work. Got bids on my mouth, the whole thing. I’d recommend Dr Christy and her office without reservation.

Negative experience: My husband had an appt scheduled for 9:30 this morning. We arrived at 9:05. There was another patient arguing about the price he was paying because they didn’t tell him that they had recently changed what insurance they accept. This was off putting but we ignored it. I handed them our insurance and supplemental and explained what each thing was. An HOUR in to the appointment they said that they had faxed only the supplemental over so it was showing no coverage. They said that they were resending the actual insurance and it should be just a bit. Another hour goes by and no word so my husband asked if we could leave and they call him when they find out what is going on. They never called. 2.5 hours later we called back and they said they still hadn’t heard anything but would call us soon. They never called. We have found another dentist and will absolutely not be back. The whole atmosphere was weird, unprofessional, and uncomfortable.

Fantastic experience: It’s a given that people are afraid to go to the dentist, right? Wrong! The folks at Abilene Dental go out of their way to make you comfortable. All dentistry is expensive, but they’re no more costly than anywhere else, and they make you feel like it’s all worth it. I’m a big fan of Dr. Christie, Betty, Amanda, Joanie—all of them!

Negative experience: I was not told of the price of my visit until it was done. It was way more than I expected. I’ve been coming here for 10 years. I have never paid $284 ever I do not want to come to this office anymore. I have been here for a long time. I’ve never seen this type of mismanagement
