Negative experience: Make sure when they extract your teeth they pull the WHOLE teeth out. I had 3 teeth extracted 2023 and a year later I felt pieces of teeth back 2 of those spots that teethe were originally pulled from. Now 2026, I went to a different location to get those teeth looked at because my whole top mouth is in a lot of pain. To find out they have to not only pull those same teeth (smile crafter’s left the roots apparently) but now that infection spreaded to two teeth beside those “extracted teeth”… I wouldn’t be here had these two teeth would’ve been correctly extracted in 2023….

Fantastic experience: I called all over town Friday, Saturday to get help with a broken tooth that was cutting my Toungue when I tried to eat. Went this way for 3 days, no food. Only Milk Shakes. Found out about Smile Crafters from a Workmate, called and they got me in in 45 minutes corrected the problem on the spot. Thank you to Smile Crafters, they lived up to their name.

Negative experience: My cleaning and x-rays only took about 25 minutes she was really fast and quick. I don’t feel like she did a very good job.

I walked in with a chipped tooth and no appointment but they were able to squeeze me in and get my tooth filled the same day. I was a bit nervous because I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time but the whole staff was super polite and professional which made me more comfortable.

Negative experience: As a nurse this dentist and his office manager are concerning to say the least! My husband had teeth that were badly decayed from the root and basically rotting my guess is from infection as the bone is gone. That being said they failed to get his pain medication sent in a timely manner. I honestly believe that if you pay for a service all services should be completed prior to moving on to the next patient. When I advocated for my husband after 5 extractions, Tabitha was very unprofessional over the phone. I don't know how people get in these positions by rubbing the phone against clothing and hanging up. The next day I went withy his and and aasked about antibiotics because of infection as you could smell it, and obviously see green foul puss. He told me that the body would reabsorb the infection as it didn't look inflamed..... You can die from infection from your teeth by it getting into the blood stream. Also if this were true we would never need antibiotics because our bodies would "reabsorb" all infection. In the end antibiotics were given as my husband was persistent.

Fantastic experience: The receptionist are warm and attentive when checking you in. The waiting time was little to none. I got in at the time scheduled. The dental hygienist was very thorough and gentle. She commended what i was doing right, and mentioned areas of improvement and how to improve them. Overall, excellent experience

Dr. Krause was took time to also see me to provide information & reassure me of the upcoming procedure that he was going to be providing! The office was very efficient & all of the staff were very nice & helped with my anxiety about the visit!

Negative experience: I scheduled a cleaning and exam, after waiting an hour for a cleaning I was rescheduled a month from now for the same cleaning I already had scheduled. I only left with an exam and a bill for the next time I come in

Positive experience: I have no complaints about the actual single tooth extraction, it went smoothly, came out easily- however the amount of time I was there, over 4 hours was ridiculous. The cost for a simple extraction was outrageous as well, but it’s been over 25 years since I’ve had a tooth extracted so I don’t know the currant rate. They charged me $483. With $98 of that for nitrous oxide that was literally yanked off me and taken to the room next door to use on a patient freaking out. Once they finished with that patient, they brought it back for me. Very shocking and unprofessional. The time they spent working up pricing for all sorts of different things unasked for was overkill and a waste of my time. I didn’t realize they were basically a chain- next time I need a dentist, I will choose a dentist with their own office. It’s hard to rate the whole experience w “stars” because the dentist did a great job, 5 stars/even offered pain rx which I tuned down, Advil was all I needed for a simple procedure, the front office was very friendly, 5 stars-but the dental assistant left a lot to be desired.1 star- Very lacking in people skills. Actually very lacking in all areas I saw. Then the sales pitch I was given (twice) which wasted my entire morning was the worst part.1 star-If they had just done what I was there to have done, I would’ve been in & out in less than a hour. So I’m going to give 3 stars based on a whole. My previous dentist retired. The saying is true- they don’t make em like they used to.

Negative experience: Highly would NOT recommend them. I had a cleaning in February my insurance was asking for additional information from them before paying for the services. Instead of doing their job and providing the information to my insurance they tried to just bill me for them. I called insurance to find out what was going on with my claim (which THEY should have done) and found out insurance was asking for additional information. Only AFTER I did their job did they decide to give insurance the information, or so they said they did. Insurance still hasn't gotten all of the information needed 3 months later. Then dentists (yes plural) that were there quit so they had to get new dentist. I was in the middle of getting partials when this happened, which I would have had before the PPO dentist quit had my scan been done correctly the first time. Instead of honoring the agreement we had when I started to get them they made me wait an extra month until the new dentist came into network with my insurance to get them. They could have CHOSEN not to balance bill me and keep to the agreement since i started with a PPO dentist and hadnt recieved them because of THEIR mistake but they chose not to. My insurance was paying the same either way. Then when I recieved a bill in the mail they were billing me for the partials I had PREPAID for, which i had paid MORE than what insurance left. I asked for an itemized bill and found that even though they are in network with my insurance they are balance billing me for my services done before I got the partials. When looking at my bill I had money on my account until they hit me with a balance bill that zeroed out that money and the almost $600 i paid for my partials. When I called to get my bill corrected i was told i had to speak with the office manager then I was forwarded to a voicemail that wasnt even for the office manager. I've called several times now to get this resolved and still have not gotten a call back. For 3 weeks now I have been trying to get them to correct my bill but am always told the office manager will call me back but never does.

Negative experience: Five years ago I got a root canal done. Paid around 800 dollars. Paid the amount they told me and still told me I owed another 350. Either way I got my crown. And now it popped off from nothing! This place is awful. I have a 15 year old crown that never came off! I'm so mad I could scream!

Positive experience: This was my first time in this office for dental care, and I felt like the staff were hurried. The full-mouth xrays were extremely uncomfortable, and the tech did not seem sympathetic. It was traumatic for me. I expected a cleaning today, but I had to schedule that for next week. I saw the dentist for about 2 minutes. He said my teeth look great, and that was it, not much of an exam. Update: The staff are friendly, and the dentist is nice enough. I just didn't get the TLC I was hoping for. I canceled the cleaning and went back to my former dentist.

Positive experience: Inroom in timely manor. Technician was gracious...very kind but quiet until I started asking questions. He answered my questions completely. Like I said, he was kind. He had the doctor come in and explain part of the treatment even though you could tell he was familiar with it. At first, I was dazzled by her smile. All I saw was beautifully shaped sparkling white teeth. When I snapped out of it, she was repeating the procedure. My technician completed my exam by making a copy of my mouth and dentures. He repaired my broken denture by smoothing out the break. He repeated the final part of the process again and secured a follow up appt for 2 weeks. He made sure I was content with every part of the appt. and the office personnel made sure I was available on the follow up date. So that was it from entering to leaving. You really can enjoy a dentist appt.

Negative experience: They Butchered my mouth then sent me to a surgeon ( that I had to pay for )who sent me to physical therapy and after several Sessions a couple of months told me he is not able to fix my mouth. When I went back to smile crafters to tell them I needed HELP I was told “ GUESS WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SATISFY YOU!” Now they did give me some money back but they did 5 times the amount of damage! Very rude Financial lady who discriminates against customers as well! To many dentist in Abilene to put up with this treatment! I give the 1 star because I had to, to be able to leave a review!

Negative experience: Not able to fix the mistakes that was made on my teeth. Leaving me worse than before. Now I gotta look for someone else to correct all or lose the rest of my teeth for a full mouth of dental. I asked if they could send my Dentures back so that they could fix them and I was told by the male doctor with a smile on his face sarcastically says you're out of insurance will see you next year. The staff seen my teeth & they knew this wasn't right. Staff is wonderful. The dentist there are top of the letter and what they say goes and when they are incorrect they still get away with not doing their jobs correctly.

Negative experience: Will close down many times throughout the year and will not reschedule professionally. They are okay with confirming appointments by text but not informing you of THEM cancelling your appointment by text. Also I hope no one has to deal with a so called “tabitha B” who refused to give me a full name when she tried to slam the door in my face while holding my 1 yr old. She was a manager and still couldn’t provide appropriate Customer service.

Negative experience: My boyfriend went there to get his wisdom teeth removed and they weren’t very time efficient or careful. According to him they were kind of aggressive and didn’t give him pain meds.

Positive experience: Update: My daughter and I had appointments this morning. My extraction went better than I had hoped. The dentist was extremely patient with me. (Remember anxiety) My daughters was a consultation to see where we need to get started. The woman was very dry, didnt engage with me about her hardly if at all. In fact she walked passed me like I was a bad mom. I tried to explain to her that we haven't been seen due to lack of insurance and money. Her silence spoke volumes. My daughter even mentioned it when we got into the truck. I told her that the clinic was getting busy and maybe she was hyper focused. Long story short, my visit, good, my daughters, not so much. I have horrible anxiety when it comes to dentist. So much that I always talk myself out of going because I don't want the panic attack on the way to the appointment. I did in fact have a significant attack before going. When I walked in, the lady was nice, the woman who did my xrays and visit were patient with me. (Mind you, they didn't know I had an attack prior to stepping into the office) the doctor was precious. He sat down to listen to my questions and concerns and that meant more than anything. My last encounter was with a young lady who went over all the options to begin a plan of treatment. We were even able to get my daughter booked for the same time of my next appointment. Yes there was alot happening but I didn't feel rushed.

Negative experience: Dentist was great. They kept charging me money, that insurance pays. I paid for dentures, they said I had a credit, then said I owed more money, then said they saw where I paid. Then said I owe more money. When they removed my teeth, I bled heavily for 2 days, they never called me back.Told me they needed me to wear the dentures to see where the dentures would rub me raw to know where to fix them. The dentures are bulky and ugly. Top denture, 1 side of denture is shaved 2 much, other side 2 little. They fit horrible. I refuse to go back again for another adjustment,its embarrassing. I wear a face mask because of the embarrassment of the dentures. Saving up to go to new dentist and implants. Fingers crossed. Smile crafters not a good choice for me. Pathetic. However, the whole experience all together, 0 star quality. Update 6/7/24 Since paying my review, they sent me a new bill that was for twice as much as the last bill. I have 2 insurances. 2! When I got my dentures, I was givenaa "total bill" that would have to be paid before I could get my dentures. I paid this entire bill. I was told when I went for follow up after receiving these disgusting dentures, that I have a credit. I made a complaint about the dentures and have received hell ever since. This is MY experience with this pathetic company. I'm not saying it will be everyone else's experience. The dentures are uneven, the gums cause my lips to stick out. I look like a horse. The dentist was great. The office staff are the worst and clueless. Billing are thieves

I had dental work (crowns) performed by Dr. Jones and am impressed with her overall confidence and skills - I barely felt anything and had zero issues! Dr. Duffy was very welcoming and gave me good news, which then Amanda came in for my cleaning that went amazingly and I left feeling refreshed by the whole team.
